    I would say, a harsh truth. In the end of the day, truer happiness can only come from the right path, and what can guide us towards it is the truth.

    I've had soft lies fed to me with silver spoons by people I had loved for far too long. A soft lie hides an even more painful truth, in my experience. I'd rather be injured with a harsh truth than completely destroyed by a soft lie further down the road.

    It depends on if the truth actually changes my life in any way... If it's actually constructive. If it is, then yes, harsh truth. However, if it doesn't make a difference in the end, a soft, white lie is fine. If no one was able to fib just a tad, the world (as it stands currently) would go into absolute chaos.

    It's interesting how things that happen to us as kids stick with us. I have a nephew who almost drowned. To this day, To this very day he refuses to go anywhere near me.

    I wish they would stop saying everything happens for a reason, though. It just gets on my nerves because it's a bad way to justify bad things happening to yourself. If I was upset over something and someone told me that I'd just get more upset.

    It's supposed to be a comfort, but I understand that's kind of a crappy way to comfort someone. It's almost like they're denying your right to be upset, which you should be if life gives you lemons.

    I believe things do happen for a reason. I'm still gonna be angry as eff if my pets all die at once though, cause it's not fair.
