Hmmm...assuming they even rode mounts, it would be for purposes of cargo or rest, so something large that could conserve energy as well. However, it would be very uncomfortable if they rode something that was too thick, as then their legs and wings would end up hitting their mount all the time. On the other hand, it's unlikely their legs would be strong enough to really hold on to most mounts.

I picture their ideal transportation would be carriages. If that doesn't count, then maybe some kind of lizard creature, as scales would probably be easier to attach their claws to, and for flight maybe wind serpents? Then again, all this depends on what sort of place they would inhabit of course. If they live in caves like normal bats, then it's more likely they would take to giant wolves, frogs or moles.

Maybe they just ride giant bats. That'd be kind of funny.

The -bold race is broken into different subraces that have batlike characteristics save for the wing membranes and elongated, specialized bones for flight. One type of -bold is the Kobold, whose society is feudal and monarchical. The regions they dwell within are typically lush plains of grass and thick forestry alongside hilly lands and mountainous terrain in some locations. To say, it's in some ways kin to Europe.

Other -bold species are the Belkabolds, Delkabolds, and Tholbolds. The Belkies and Delkies hail from the Pels, known for its tundras and year-round frigid/chilled climate. Tholbolds hail from the Thales, an underwater nation. Essentially mermaids.

Kobolds originate from Koberon, which, as I said, lush land and temperate climates.
