Thankfully it wasn't impacted, still hurts like hell though.

always hated the dentist since it makes my jaw hurt after keeping it open for too long

I normally like the dentist. Unfortunately, I'm not so great about keeping up with oral hygiene, so it's always nice to go and get cleaned up.
