Valkyries make a 'whooping' sound once they achieve the proper velocity to be slung by the giant. Literally seven-foot-tall woman in full plate armor being slung around by this lumbering tower of power, a goliath, a giant.

My kind of woman and giants then.

InsultingBunny Imagine a Valkyrie coming crashing down in your little cottage inside castle walls, right beside your bed. And probably through the wall as well as they skid through your home.

This just makes me want to write a tragic tale. .

Another thing to consider is the possibility that as a giant is slinging a Valkyrie around, they scream at the top of their lungs when a mouse appears and SLAMS the Valkyrie on it. Repeatedly.

Show me what the valkyries are.

Well, on the meta side, they're from my original universe, Argent Blood. In-universe? They're the result of alchemical advancements in technology and understanding, produced by an organization known as the Sacred Silver, or the SS.

I know what else has "SS" as an acronym, don't point it out.

"An organization that specializes in metallurgic alchemical transmutation. SS facilities exist in several nations, developing various silver-based technologies." - Sacred Silver.

The Sacred Silver are best known for their "Silver Homunculi," though.
'Homunculi with metals transmuted into their bodies, primarily silver. The process results in flesh resistant to physical harm and negative powers.'

"Their skin was pale as fresh bone and glistened as morning dew. Their hair was a pearlescent silver, a ghastly snow white, an oceanic navy blue, or a healing spring's aquamarine. The iris of their eyes was similar in possibilities. And beneath the skin was a flesh of cobalt blue or teal, and coursing through their veins was a copper blood." - Orthodox Production Characteristics, or their typical appearances.
