  • If I've ever snapped at anyone or have covered dark topics in the past two weeks or so, I apologize. This depressive episode feels like it's been lasting this entire month and hasn't left.

Hell, anhedonia has set in, I feel so frustrated and irritable, and my dialect/demeanor has become brusque and gritty. I'm so tired every waking hour of the day. It's exhausting, and such fuels the fire. I can't wait to move out.

It feels like I'm sixteen again, frankly. And that's not good. That's far from good.

I'm really sorry you have to go through all that, it sounds terrible... It makes it easier for me to keep saying that the bad things happen for a reason - cause they really do! You can say for certain you'll be able to learn and grow from this experience. It sounds cliche, but it's something to make the struggle just a tad easier.
Just remembering some sweet-ass music I used to listen to a few years ago this morning, now I'm lazily glancing through the youtube channel I think I heard it from.
With the youtube audio converter open.
Ah, depression's gotten a few clicks worse. I've become a big grouch.

Things need to change soon or I need to leave my home. ._.

:/ I'm really sorry. Depression sucks, and is definitely something to take seriously. I hope things get better soon!

Walmarts secrete a toxin in the form of price numbers that induces intense levels of bad money management and insomnia.
I wonder what it'd be like to have mercury in similar volumes to hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This includes the theory that you would be a quasi-organic metal-based humanoid with a digestive system composed of elements resistant to mercury's metal-dissolving properties.
In a medieval fantasy universe with incredible magi-tech, what do you believe would be the most harrowing thing you could experience in such a world? That which you believe would be a traumatizing experience. Be imaginative, please. c:

I'm just trying to figure out things that would require the use of both a medieval fantasy and magitechno setting in order to happen, and it ends up being castles and weird steampunk nonsense.

War, terrorism, and sadistic fetishists are a few major ways to get a 'harrowing' reaction from the crowd. Wanna brainstorm some more? Perhaps a torture scene, or something straight out of /r/WatchPeopleDie?

Also, never knew such a reddit exists.
Just woke up at two in the morning. W O N D R O U S. Good news is that my immense depression is lifting somewhat.
So, just decided to revise one of my worlds. I believe that the best path to take with this is to embody the medievalized scifi modern fantasy nature of it all, rather than make exceptions hither and thither. At least, to an extent. There's a peculiar balance I'll need to achieve, but I believe something like the latest Final Fantasy games would be a good comparison/reference point, possibly.
It is my birthday, today. Won't be in about twenty-five minutes. Thanks to everyone who wished me a good b-day, IRL and on-site. Sadly, I don't believe I'm enjoying it like I should. Depression is one Hell of a beast.
Well, it's happened. Again. For the... something-nth time. Depression strikes again. D:

I wonder if it's the shift in seasons causing it. Most likely just my unhealthy lifestyle, though. If anyone else is going through similar bouts of depression, do know you aren't alone. Also, drink of plenty of water and possibly take a break from drinking caffeinated beverages and foods. This goes for everyone, actually.

Take care of yourself! Depression suuucks. Listen to some uplifting music, too! Never underestimate the power of music!
I wonder if making a sentient mass of ice and magic that radiates magical energy and putting it in a magical wasteland would make for interesting encounters or something?

I'll call it an "Iceheart." Or "Frostheart." "Coldheart?"
    Daisie
    Daisie
You could call it a Frost Soul, or something along those lines! An Iced Soul?
    BeastofLores
    BeastofLores
Daisie Daisie That is a possibility. Though, hm, I'd like to avoid incorporating 'Soul' into an arcane construct or power name, as in the universe I am developing, there exists the Dead Lord, and he more or less has the death-related powers.

Ice sprite. To make your adventurers underestimate it. :D
Well, that world I mentioned before now has elemental arcane tanks. Of course, they'd be reserved for wealthy and technologically-focused countries and would be rare, all things considered.
Well, I had a nightmare. Thugs coming to rob and shoot up the house, that sort of thing.

Your nightmares are scarier than my nightmares because unlike your mine could never happen.

Aye, someone in a way belittled me about by saying - and I paraphrase - "You call that nightmare? I'd rather die from a mobsters than a scary ghost lady-thing." BackSet BackSet when I spoke of it.

Yeah, no, they really should prefer the monsters because they know they're not real. Being killed by mobsters is a very real possibility.
