  • "Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever... Whether a parting be forever or merely for a short time... That is up to you."

I agree that it's an alternate dimension and not a dream. This is basically confirmed in Hyrule Historia, if I'm not mistaken.

And immediately contradicted by Hyrule Encyclopedia, which says it's a dream, irritating me to no end. Thought it's canonicity is debatable so I just ignore it.

“I will find the song, or another will find the song, but the song will be sung, this year or in a year to come. As it once was, so shall it be again, world without end.”
"There's a bit of magic with the first moment someone touches pen to paper, or fingers to keys, for something other than school, work, or money. Those things want to bleed feeling out of writing, Steve. But when it's true, the way the crack of dawn is true, or a child's prayer is true, well, then, it starts a life."
"It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people."
"'I'm not giving up gambling,' Mat muttered. 'Or drinking.'

'So I believe you've told me,' Talmanes said. 'Three or four times so far. I half believe that if I were to peek into your tent at night, I'd find you mumbling it in your sleep. 'I'm going to keep bloody gambling. Bloody, bloody gambling and drinking. Where's my bloody drink? Anyone want to gamble for it?'"
"Fortune rides like the sun on high
with the fox that makes the ravens fly.
Luck his soul, the lightning his eye,
He snatches the moons from out of the sky."
"I sit a chair better than a horse, and I'd sooner hold a wine goblet than a battle-axe. All that about the thunder of drums, sunlight flashing on armor, magnificent destriers snorting and prancing? Well, the drums gave me headaches, the sunlight flashing on my armor cooked me up like a harvest day goose, and those magnificent destriers shit everywhere."
“Burn you, Nerim, that's a leg not a bloody side of beef!"

"As my lord says," Nerim murmured. "My lord's leg is not a side of beef. Thank you, my lord, for instructing me.”
"Take what you want and pay for it, says God. You can have anything you want, as long as you accept that there is a price and you will have to pay it."
"Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo."
This is a perfectly grammatical, perfectly sensible English sentence.
"Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you."
"The storms come and go, the waves crash overhead, the big fish eat the little fish, and I keep on paddling."
"...In sackcloth and ashes shall he clothe the people,
and he shall break the world again by his coming,
tearing apart all ties that bind.
Like the unfettered dawn shall he blind us, and burn us,
yet shall the Dragon Reborn confront the Shadow at the Last Battle,
and his blood shall give us the Light.
Let tears flow, O ye people of the world.
    Weep for your salvation."
"You can never know everything, and part of what you do know will always be wrong. Perhaps even the most important part. A portion of wisdom lies in knowing this. A portion of courage lies in going on anyway."
"We rode on the winds of the rising storm,
We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
    and tore the world asunder."
“If you must mount the gallows, give a jest to the crowd, a coin to the hangman, and make the drop with a smile on your lips”
"When considering a man's motives, remember you must not measure his wheat with your bushel. He may not be using the same standard at all."
