Well I mean what are you looking for?

The Mechanist I'm mostly looking for specific characters to be paired with different OC's I make. But apparently that's a very 90's way of role playing that no one wants to do.

How specific are we talking? Cuz many people don’t like having their characters predetermined for them, it’s too much of a restriction on their creativity

The Mechanist That's probably why. I have a long list of fandom stuff I want and the exact character I'd like them to play. Though, I find it pretty hypocritical, considering the requests I get are VERY specific, even if the character they want me to play doesn't have a name.

I say more ironic than hypocritical in my opinion, have you tried starting from scratch with your partners?

On my list, I have more than just fandom ideas. I have fantasy and historical/period based ideas. But more often than not, people only want to do... well... anything, if it's erotic. And whether it's here or the other five sites I'm a member of, I just can't do that for my own personal reasons. So no one wants to participate.

Wait seriously? I think you’ve just been finding the wrong partners then especially here considering ERP is forbidden on this site

It would appear you've found the underworld of RPN. Never been there myself but I've heard it's not a nice place.

It may be forbidden, but everyone finds a way. Three of the sites forbid it, but that doesn't stop people. People read romance and think ERP.

Well, easy solution: report and block them.

Besides you two, no one has messaged me for years. So it doesn't really matter.

Well, what kind of rps are you into? Do you have a thread?

My advice is kind of useless here, given my inexperience with romance so the only advice I can give you is a very cheesy don't give up.
