Sometimes her dialogue would make me cringe a bit since it was a little Saturday Morning Cartoon Villainesque, but they handled her so well during those scenes in season four. That anger and shame. Then I face-palmed in season five.
Dude, she's more interesting when she had little to no lines... I feel like her cringe villain dialogue could work if she acted about as hammy as her lines
Yeah, I saw the direction that they were trying to take her, and it had so much potential if they would just make her dialogue more concise. Personally, I really like the idea that she was Cinderella gone rogue, reacting to such abuse with hate and that being why she is so desperate to be powerful. Ruby brought her back down and reminded her what it was like to be defenseless, in the interpretation I use for rping.
I think the issue was that Miles and Kerry are making stuff up as they go along... I mean Aura shielding is no longer a passive ability... in spite of it being stated as such in the World of Remnant video about Aura
Yeah, that confused me as well. Sometimes I think that they make the plot then try to force canon around that when, uhhhh you can't just do that when you've already set lore a certain way. It isn't easy to retcon like in comics.
My girlfriend argues with me about season five, but..look, its my favorite character they are completely dropping the ball on. Of course I'm going be super critical! Like...they have Cinder act like -nothing happened-. She's back to being so super arrogant just to fit the plot when, no. You guys had her emoting so much and struggling with those emotions then when its convenient trololol she's fine guys.
