I was reading about Charles Darwin, who when he discovered the Galapagos turtle, one of the first things he did was, he tried to ride it. Which to me sounded like something you would win a Darwin Award for.

Though truly the most impressive thing about Darwin is how it is somehow accepted as science, or was at a point.

I was at the reptile gardens in South Dakota on vacation with my family. I remember deciding to take a little break while I watch my siblings ogle at the turtles in the pond. So I sit on what I thought was a rock, cross legged mind you, and then I realized my rock started moving! So I look down and I see these nubs of limbs moving the rock.

And when I turn to the side I see the tortoise head poking out and jump off. Turns out the tortoise had a really ugly shell

I'm now imagining that if Television were a thing in the 1800th then there would be videos of Charles Darwin behaving like Steve Erwin

Darwins work is amazing, many times I've quoted his works in my papers detailing evolution

Most recently I've been reading research and doing reflection papers about the hybrid black tip sharks being born near Australia, which are fertile and not sterile.

Yes, I know fascinating! The Atlantic black tip shark and Australian black tip have been interbreeding creating a hybrid that grows to be both more powerful and larger than the parent sharks! And he he ability to breed with other hybrids or unhybridized black tip sharks! It's an ichthyology marvel!

The only Hybrids i know of that breed are The Beefalo, Killer Bees, and various Caynid Hybrids
