Honestly? I just like romance. I'm a romantic by heart and my natural inclination when reading a story is to ship its characters, though less so with my RP characters.

i don't know, but it's annoying. i just wanna rp some friends going on adventures, shipping be damned!

I ship on occasion but I only do canon ships. And I never let my character become part of a ship in roleplays. (I'm not above shipping other characters though *cough* poke academy *cough*)

I agree that the amount of romance in roleplays is a little over-the-top. But insulting everyone who likes to roleplay romance is uncalled for.

Even if that's the case, it could still be seen as somewhat rude or hurtful to those targeted. I'm just pointing this out, is all.

I find some romances fun. If done right, it can add a good spice to the roleplay.

I am simply expressing my dislike for the genre and the fact that people seem to have to add it into everything. Can't I just have a fun adventure plot. That's how it used to be.
