Still insane to sit there and do the same thing with the same concentration of variables as well as same standard deviations, only expect somethig different. It's like cooking chicken noodle soup every time hoping for it to be lasagna or a cheeseburger

I think all things in science should be tested 3-5 times to prove consistency, with the exception of medicine, which should be tested at least 20 years to assure it doesn't have weird side effects down the road.

That's standard scientific method actually. We scientists always run the same tests over and over again to validate our data and to show it's consistency as you put it. By constantly running the same tests we also decrease standard deviation which looks good on a data spread for comparison of data in between trials to show whether the outcome was identical or if it was different
