  • Welp I genuinely can't believe that I got part twenty done but there it is: written and posted. 32,323 words so far and that's a staggering amount to me - I haven't kept with a non-rp writing project for this long (both time wise and word count wise) ever before
How does one plan a story? I can write them, to a very limited extent, but then I never know where to go after I've reached roughly ten thousand words or so. I imagine a plan would help, but how do I make this plan?

    Act 2
    - Scene 1 - Disaster strikes
    - Scene 2 - Protagonist is on the run/ is joined by companions
    - Scene 3 - Protagonist volunteers to take a long and difficult journey / more allies join the cause
    - Scene 4 and so on

    I hope this is helpful. : P

P.S. it's probably more orthodox to say a novel has three acts, but I think breaking it into five acts makes it easier to plan, but do whichever is easiest for you.
Falling into a strange emotional rut - I know the cause of it but I do not have the guts to fix it at the moment... fear of ruining something paralyzes me from acting
I don't think I've valued a notebook as much as I do now, good for writing down all the random stuff that comes to mind. The only issue is organizing the mess that such writing produces
Missing old RPs and their groups. Forced Fates, Fablewood etc.

Was kind of annoyed how Forced Fates faded tbh; just as the plot was getting interesting
In a happy mood; can name all 47 countries in Europe (including Kosovo) in under 1 and a half minutes.
Every RP I've been a part of has never had a finish - either somebody stops posting who happened to be key to the plot or the interest just fizzles out. I understand people have real lives - it doesn't make this any less annoying. Le sigh, c'est la vie.

Btw, what mod are you using on Vic2? I For one know Prussia shouldn't be Yellow.

To be fair, very rarely do roleplays on this site last longer than a month.

I think one of the main problems in this area is that a lot of the time, people don't really know the people that they're playing with, so when they get bored, there's no real personal reason keeping them around. If they don't like the concept or the characters, or even if they do but someone else posts something that they enjoy more, they're going to skip off to their next big interest without worrying about the fact that they're holding back someone else's roleplay.

The constant cycle of shifting interests, in turn, tends to kill various threads, as far as I can tell.
I think it astounds me that people can keep up their creativity for so long and can keep creating original content for this website.

I believe I have reached my creative extent and end up just re-skinning something I've already done, which ends up being not fun for me and makes me predictable.

All I can do is just copy shit and add other shit to it/ change some deets.
There's a One on One RP in Fantasy that for some reason isn't in the One on One section. This bothers me
