b-b-but Pat, Russians can get to America as proven in the most canonical game, Fallout 4.
Pat
Pat
Don't be Russian to conclusions from an accent or two.

Besides, there's no Russians on the West Coast. Especially Nevada.
Boethiah
Boethiah
Accents don't just pop up, they come from long-term exposure to other people with those accents.

And my Californian Russians would only be Russian descendants
Pat
Pat
Oh. Can you show me an example from Fallout 1 or Fallout 2 of a Russian-accented- OH WAIT, THERE ARE NONE.
Boethiah
Boethiah
Yes, but there would be people descended from Russians who moved to America.
Pat
Pat
On the East Coast possibly, but we here literally nothing about the Russians on the West Coast. It's all about the Chinese, or the Japanese Yakuza.
Boethiah
Boethiah
It would be easier for the Russians to pass through Alyeska.

'Easier'

It isn't like Alaska is cold, or filled with the paranoid and incredibly well-armed descendants of U.S. soldiers or anything. That would be ridiculous.

And even if they made it to Alaska, how come they would go to California in any notable number? Why are there mass migrations to Alaska anyway?
Boethiah
Boethiah
They need to escape from the abundant yetis somehow.
Pat
Pat
Only to run into the Ice Deathclaws.
Pat
Pat
But please Gade, show me the many ships in the Fallout universe that could make such a journey. Oh wait, there's literally one, and it's an oil tanker.
Boethiah
Boethiah
Pat, I'm referring to pre-war Russian immigrants.
Pat
Pat
So you're saying that the prewar Commies wouldn't get lynched in the Fallout universe?
Boethiah
Boethiah
Not all Russians are Commies and the USSR was starting to get friendlier with the US.
Pat
Pat
But the American people themselves were just as distrustful with them as they were with the Chinese.
Pat
Pat
Gade, here's an example, in my town, we're very anti-communist, to the point we barely even know what the government system is. Thing is, our town was actually the first in the entire United States to have a communist mayor, and, when he was in charge, he was pretty successful.

What does that tell you?

Boethiah
" John Calvin Chase was an American trade union activist and politician. In 1898 Chase was elected mayor of Haverhill, Massachusetts, becoming the first socialist to be elected mayor of an American city. "
