No. See, that game doesn't really have a "difficulty spike" it's more like playing it in comparison to any other game is a difficulty cliff face.

Well, as a guy who's played Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition, Dark Souls 3 and Ashes of Ariandel, and 100% completed Bloodborne and the Old Hunters almost completely blind each time, Dark Souls isn't fucking hard.
People play up the difficulty of the games to cringeworthy effects.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm much more of a turn based RPG strategist than a game like dark souls. I played the first ever "souls" game and thought it was a cult classic. Never thought that it's child would become the next greatest wave of "OMG best game ever" that it has become. Personally I have to think that that game is difficult if you don't understand how to build and play, such as myself. So I stick to games that I can figure out fairly easily.
