  • It's best to keep your opinion to yourself if you're unwilling to hear other's disagreements. Yes, you have a right to your opinion and a right to share it, but everyone else has a right to disagree and tell you exactly why.

True, very true. But where do you draw the line between being someone who doesn't want to listen to others and someone who does listen to what others have to say, but remains unconvinced , and thus by actually thinking themselves correct, tries to defend their own beliefs?

It's a fine line, needless to say.

But more clear than one might think. The bigger problem is the sheer pressure and fear of sounding bad, which is often underestimated, but has a huge impact on pretty much every public discussion.

    Cause here's a fact:

nomatter what you believe in, reality won't change just because you believe differently. So what's the point of treating every opinion with kid's gloves? Every opinion should be shattered and replaced with better ones, but through proper argument one, for THAT is the line.

    sorry for the rant
As a detailed writer I find this 500 post thing kinda weighed outta my favor. I don't do this rapid fire post thing that many do and it's gonna make me unable to try out HTML for awhile :C

Ah well. what can I do?

I am neither interested in that or really have time. I've got things I've got to get written up for a variety of RPs as well as work and such. Any time I try that I end up going to take a piss and coming back to twenty more pages >_>

thats fair enough. I do both detailed and simple/casual, however recently I have been lazy and since rejoining the site after a 1 year hiatus havent joined in any detailed rps xD  although I should be getting back into those soon.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the post-limiting on some features. Even as a user that will probably hit every single limit, it doesn't seem fair to me. Actually, especially as someone who will probably hit every single limit, seeing as to all of my role playing has been detailed for the most part. This rewards people who sloppily role play and make small, undetailed posts way more than it rewards the people who actually take some creativity in their writing and decide to put the detail of an actual story into every post. It seems weighed not out of just your favor, but out of the favor of everyone who actually takes role playing seriously, as it seems the harder you work on each post, the harder it will be to reach the limits they're setting.

So I've come to the realization that the Nyte Life theme's images are all from Destiny and I'm fangirling hardcore right now.

I do, Guy Faux. Remember remember the fifth of November...
Although I'm still exceptionally curious if you picked up on what the name actually means.

The name, not in relations to the picture. It's actually a term given to unidentified bodies! :D
Like, the name, given that they are unidentified and therefore have no name to be called. So they're given John Doe or Jane Doe.

Also yea, Fawkes. I always misspell that, for some reason my mind swears back and forth that it's Faux >_>
