19:20 - Fitness Class, The Ring, Swimming
Venissa wanted to fall over and sleep. Her eyes were barely open, trudging along after her roommate. Class was hard. Having to use her magic... the horrible magic... that was really hard. She felt like all she wanted to do was curl into a ball and stop existing. This was all way too much for the first day.

Mr. Artor seemed like he was really nice, and her roommate wanted to go swimming. "Sure," she said quietly. She moved along to the edge of the pool and took off her shoes. Dry or not, swimming with shoes on would be too weird. That said, she was too tired to care about the weirdness of not having an actual bathing suit. She let herself slide into the water and sighed in relief.

"This might be the best idea. With how tired we are, this is way easier on our bodies," she said to her friend, looking back at her, "The water's nice."

Her eyes went back up to the teacher. Okay. Maybe he was a little... too positive. She had no intention of swimming so much she tired herself out. After everything today, that was the last thing she wanted to do. So... she chose to ignore the teacher. At least a little. She leaned back and let herself float, head just barely above the water with her eyes closed. Relaxation. Fuck today.

19:15 - Fitness Class, The Ring

Maria.jpg María was seconds away from reaching over and forcibly covering Miranda's mouth. Don't stand out as a problem! Obviously, the girl didn't understand that Augurium was not to be trusted. Making herself a target would only gain her unwanted attention and scrutiny. Luckily, the teacher just waved them off. The soldier let out a sigh of relief and ushered her roommate towards the track. "We shouldn't go all out. I think a nice and easy pace will be good enough." She had never pushed herself with her powers before, but being knocked out was not something she particularly liked. The brunette set an easy jogging pace. An extremely tall pair of students ran past her, laughing all the way. Come on guys, take this seriously... Then again, maybe a little fun was just the motivation Miranda needed. Looking over her shoulder to see if her roommate was following, she shouted back to her, "If you can tag me I'll buy you dessert for a week!" It was a typical bet during basic; either wagering food or chores and since they had no chores, food it was. Speeding up a little, María carefully kept a pace that she estimated would challenge Miranda without causing her to blackout from exhaustion. This was training after all, not torture.

LFB.jpg Liliana gave the teacher a strained smile at his advice. It was well-meaning, but honestly she was way too tired to even think about doing laps. I think Venissa's already checked out too. Watching her roommate float on her back with her eyes closed, the brunette had a hard time telling if she was relaxing or actually asleep. The water they were in felt, odd. The lack of wetness was taking a while to get used to. The corner's of her mouth tilted down in concentration as she tested the water. A few small splashes, some doggy paddles, and eventually actual strokes were done; and anytime she strayed a little too far from Venissa, the brunette would paddle back to her roommate's prone form. The pool was actually pretty fun! Unfortunately, Liliana didn't have the energy to fool around in it like she wanted to. I think I'm going to steal Venissa's idea. Titling backwards until she was floating on her back, the brunette stared the the stars. This is actually pretty nice. Letting her eyes drift shut, Liliana ignored the sounds around her and focused on floating.

GN..jpg Guiren turned around at the declaration and cursed as he dodged the blade that was aimed at him. "What the fuck!" Angry confusion turned into a roaring fury though as he realized that his soon-to-be victim had gotten away from him during his momentary distraction. Fuck! Eyes burning with a fire of rage, Guiren ground his teeth and practically snarled at the boy that had distracted him. Those swords can't be allowed. Well, if this guy wasn't going to play by the rules than neither was he! It was a fucking stupid thing to do, but the dark-haired boy wasn't thinking. He reached out with his mana and with a upward swing of his arm, multiple spikes shot out of the ground and towards the guy who had interrupted him. Pandora was long forgotten at this point, and now Ian was the focus of Guiren's unreasonable wrath. "Do not fuck with me!"

Miranda Olesen

19:20 - Fitness Class, The Ring
Once Ms. Diana had responded to her, Miranda was happy to know that they weren't going to punish someone for their uncontrollable magic. "Ok, and thank you, Ms. Diana." said Miranda, as her head turned into a light bulb from being happy. She then noticed that her light magic is doing it again, so Miranda forced herself to have a neutral face in order to stop it. 'Don't be happy about this, Miranda. As much as you want to be that, your magic doesn't want you to express yourself.' thought Miranda.
This poor girl really doesn't know how to suppress her magic, since every single time she is either happy, excited, mad, or upset. It keeps coming out on their own.

After her light bulb head had faded away, she looked at Maria. “Ok, and we do need to go easy after dealing with the caster class.” said Miranda, who didn't want to knock herself out by accident. For she knew that she was going to cause problems if that were to happen. 'Keep calm, Miranda. They want you to react, so you can knock yourself out. Also, what is the worst that can happen?' thought Miranda.
Before Miranda followed behind Maria, her roommate ended up shouting at her about dessert. Upon that being mentioned did Maria made Miranda happy, since she didn't have any dessert for three years. "Dessert? DESSERT! I WANT DESSERT!" said Miranda, as she ran towards Maria at a faster pace. Her roommate doesn't know that she just made a bet with a fast runner.

1573350944045.png Omar was about to head off to run when a cute girl came up to him. She wasn't afraid, disgusted, or put off by him but approached him willingly. This was something new to him... it reminded him of the first time he met Pandora. He looked down at her as she asked him to spar with mild confusion... why fight him? Well at least she didn't mind his disfigured arm so it was worth trying to get to know her. "Hi... I'm Omar." He says before scratching his head. "I guess... I've never really fought before... but be careful my left arm is too strong for most people and I don't want to see you get hurt..." He says worried he might hurt her since she's a small child compared to himself... even though he was average height at best.

Ivanna hardly cared about how strange Omar's fancy arm was. She smiled brightly and cupped his strange left hand without fear, "That's okay! Us Timurovich are pretty strong too!" She pulled him along towards where the teacher and a boy were fighting. "You look like you need more friends," she said, finding it hard to take her eyes off the sparring, "How old are you? I'm twelve. I'm pretty much one of the youngest people I know!"

She cupped his other hand, finally looking back to him, and squeezed both of them with the adorable smile only a small child can give. "Let's get started! But let's be careful not to go too hard, okay? I'm tired." Ivanna let go and took a step back. She lightly punched his arm with her right hand, then stuck out her tongue with her smile still going strong, "I don't even know how to start a fight, really. It is so awkward. If someone was already trying to hurt me, then that'd be easy, but sparring is so different."

1573350944045.png Omar couldn't help but smile at Ivanna, she was just too cute and friendly. He didn't resist when she pulled him along, she was pretty strong but not as much as his arm. He couldn't attack someone like her, it went against his instincts. Imar remembered the therapist telling him to get more friends instead of always clinging to Pandora so he nodded at Ivanna's statement. When she squeezed his hand and smiled his heart melted and he fought the urge to hug her because Pandora told her not to hug people without consent. Omar just stood still as she said to start, noddingat not going too hard. He was only going to defend and dodge as to not hurt her. He practically jumped when she playfully punched but quickly recovered and stood there again heart completely melted by her childish behavior. He couldn't help himself and tried giving her a hug without thinking.

"Oh!" she squeaked, suddenly hugged, but she didn't mind it much. Instead, she bearhugged him back with surprising strength, "This isn't sparring at all! Silly. You're a super cutie. Do you know that? I think we should definitely be friends."

She backed off from him and looked back to the teacher for a moment, hmming about the situation. She didn't really know how to start a spar, but she didn't wanna get in trouble either for not doing anything. Ivanna's eyes moved back to Omar once again, "You didn't say how old you are! I bet you're liiiiiiiiiike... fifteen! Or maybe even older! My Mama is really old, but she doesn't look like it. She's a super cool ultima for the school! But shhhhh, don't tell her I told you. I'm not supposed to go around telling everyone. She says it could make me a target."

"I don't see why anybody would wanna target somebody else though," she mused, clearly on a tangent, her childish little brain too hyper to focus on one topic for long, "Still, I like telling people. It shows them how awesome she is! Even if they don't know her! Maybe you'll get to meet her one day. Since she works for the school, I'm sure she'll come here sometimes. I could bring you home with me, but Mama says I need to know someone for at leaaaaast a week or two before I can bring them home. To make sure I actually like being around them and stuff, and probably to make sure they don't wanna hurt me too."

"I can tell though, you'd never wanna hurt me!" She hugged him again, then bounced back and clapped her hands, topics shifting entirely, "Ooo! So is your arm like a super arm or something?" Ivanna grabbed his left hand and put his palm up to her face, wanting to see how big it was in comparison to her head, "It looks pretty cool. You'd be like an awesome superhero from an NRNA comic!"

1573426632321.png Omar blushed as his heart sped up at being called cute, this was the first time anyone ever called him that. He nodded at being friends, a wide smile on his still blushing face. "I'm 16..." He responded before hearing her gush about her mother; once she mentioned not saying anything he made the "zip my lips" motion. Omar however knowing he was a target of the Egyptian Theocracy didn't respond to her comment about being targeted, it wasn't something to burden her with. However due to having severly limited life experience he wasn't able to warn her about telling people like others would; instead he was thinking how cool it was to have such a powerful mother... or a mother at all. Omar nodded, it would be nice to meet her mother and see her home. He had only seen the inside of his own tiny house, Pandora's home, and the inside of the barracks for the short time they had him in the military. He smiled again as she hugged him; nodding to the inquiry of his arm. Omar had heard of comics but he had never seen one. "I've never read a comic..." His mind wanders as he replies. Hopefully the teacher doesn't get mad. However it was brought back to reality as she grabbed his hand and held it up to her face. With the claws and all the modifications made to him his hand was larger by a good portion. Omar had no clue how to respond but he didn't resist.

19:15 - Fitness Class, The Ring
Hira finished her lunch way earlier than the most others students she quite enjoyed it and when she went to fitness class she had trouble in debating which activity she should do. She thought that sparring should be done on wensdays since it was quite fun and she could always practice a bit of sparring with her roommate Gavin although he isn't as good of a opponent as those shes use to facing. She then debated between running and weightlifting and after a few minutes of contemplation she then thought that they were likely going to be doing this all week so she would likely be able to try all the activites at some point during the week. After a minute she decided that running would be the best course of action since she was use to running on mondays and weightlifting would be best to do on tuesdays. She went onto the track and practically jogged stopping for breaks less often than majority of the other students as she maintained her pace so that she could conserve enough stamina to not tire herself out too quickly.

1573437310595.png Ian used some of the little magic reserve he had regenerated to use his navitas powers to jump out of the way of the spikes. He was a feisty one! ALL THE BETTER!!! Fighters like him usually went all out in a fight making them the perfect enemies to train with. "Tsk tsk gangsta, no magic here." Ian said as he landed next to Guiren landing a kick to his side and using the momentum to move away from the enraged fighter. "I was expecting a fight, tough guy! Where is it?" Ian mocked to rial him up some more. "Seriously put some effort in, this is boring the hell out of me." Ian declared as he stood back waiting on Guiren to come at him.

19:20 - The Ring

Honestly, I was disappointed. I was so eager to fight... I wanted to spend the last of my energy doing something fun, like throwing punches, and dodging some. But no. Of all the people in the sparring group, none had manifested the envy to fight against me. I don't know if it was because I looked too young, or too weird... But yeah, that was also kind of saddening. I sat down, letting the tension I had go away, making my whole body go limp for a few seconds. By Dana, I was so tired... Every single occasion I got made my body go nope on me... I sighed lightly, glancing at the sky above, not really focused on anything. A second ago, I wanted to fight, now I didn't know what I wanted to do.

Arduously getting up, I started walking around the sparring zone, observing the fights. If I stayed still, pain would creep in, and nothing was worse than muscle pain in a tired body. If I wasn't careful, I might even end with a permanent injury. I stretched my arms, yawned a little, and took another step. Nearby, two big guys were fighting. One had a sword, and I raised an eyebrow at that sight. I didn't like swords; they had a too short reach, and were not as versatile as other weapons, like spears. I like spears. A big blade on a big stick, yeah... "Stick'em with the pointy end", I muttered. That was how you gotta do things. Sticking spears into problems.

As my thoughts wandered, and my gaze jumped from fight to fight, I felt the familiar sensation of magic creeping up, sizzling against my skin. On my right half, I saw little white lines, running up my leg, and down my arm, around my hand. Nothing unusual on that side. On my left half, I saw little black lines, running down from my eye to my foot, around my arm and my hip. Nothing unusual either. What was unusual, on the other hand, was how little control over it I had tonight. My white magic was making my right side heat up, enhancing my metabolism, burning through my right arm, turning my skin red as blood slowly but surely seeped through. On my left side, my black magic was making me cold, eating away at my skin; I felt a strange sensation, one that I hadn't felt since at least a month, or maybe more, as if my skin was scrubbed with sandpaper, as the magic ate through it, making it crumble into dust, millimeter by millimeter. I felt something else, too. It was a sensation I experienced quite frequently when I was tired; it was as if the night was wrapping around me, creeping up from the soles of my feet. The recomforting heat made me stumble, and this time I chose to fall, catching the ground with my open hands and a knee.

I curled up, my head resting on my left arm, as I blurrily watched the fights unfold, or perhaps I stared at the stars above... I don't know. I didn't know. I closed my eyes, and let the night take over me. It felt real good, abandoning reality, giving up on pain and fatigue, going to sleep somewhere deep... Very deep... I trod the abyss of my mind, making the grains of black and white sand rustle as I walked. The water felt good. There was no light, nothing. Only warmth, and a small taste of iron. Huh. Might have finally bled out outside.

-

I felt strange when I woke up. Usually, I don't get out like that. Perhaps did the boy faint... No. He was good. Walking quietly around the sparring zone, looking at the fights, his hands... Oh. Fuck.
Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.

His magic was leaking out, without conscious control. It was building up, going wild. The boy's body was weakened by the constant effort, but he hadn't used magic at all, or almost. Now it came back to bite him in the ass, and I could barely do anything about it.

Fuck.

I stirred rapidly, trying to take over. I felt myself sweep over the ground as I gathered at his feet. There wasn't much light around, anyway. I'd be able to act as I wanted. I started crawling up his legs, devouring the excess magic as I went, both to help him vent it away, and to make me stronger; his magic tasted awful. It was like... the taste of flesh, but worse. It was really bad.

The boy sat down, curling up on the grass. It was perfect. I would be able to take over and deal with the problem, while he'd finally get some rest. I felt him go away, falling within his own mind. Asleep. It really was perfect. As I ate through the magic, wrapping around the boy, I spent some of the power to heal the wounds caused by the magic. That shit might as well be useful at some point. I didn't like magic. It was strange. It fought with me when I tried to be more conscious. Now, I could retaliate. Not gonna lie, it was also a sweet, sweet revenge. I peeked outside. Some power was still leaking, and the boy had left a neat circle of dead yellow grass around him. Well... That couldn't be helped now, could it ?

If I could shrug apologetically, I'd done it at this moment. But I couldn't. I was a shadow, after all. Anyway. I had completely wrapped the boy within me, and had even started encroaching on his body. I could control it, to an extent. I had him rise up and stretch. Quickly checking where his consciousness was... Oh ? In the abyss ? Huh. He never goes there usually. I wondered why he did so today, but then I thought that it was for the better. I could play a little outside.

I checked around, and saw Seryva fighting Zak, that big, boastful guy. Then, I had an idea. In my whole life of shadow, I'd had brighter ones, honestly. I was about to sneak on Seryva to get the jump on her. Yeah. It was stupid. But hey. I didn't get to play very often. So I treated myself with a grin, and spoke through the boy's mouth

"It's shadowtime."

Zak
source-4.gif

Vs

Ms. Seryva

1569688071142.png

Laughing at the challenge Zak stretched afront with fingers locked and "Oi you're a serous one are ya?" bantered in a joker's tone with an easy aire about him, betraying arrogance. Misplaced it was but Seryva didn't look a threat, so ambling relaxed he approached unfocused, waiting until the last second to dime flip leasure-stroll to beastial lunge with a tight speed-burst designed to blitz. It was an aggressive move that'd end things immediately. He'd show Seryva that his strength wasn't a joke and he wanted her to know the depth of her mistake yelling out - - "Careful what ya ask for black hair, calling out a war kin!" with his bandage wrap flinging from his hand to her face, finishing the taunt with "Might get ya burnt!" as a right-side haymaker follows the bandage blinds with kill intent and fizzling sparks flashing, residue Ignis energy it was, bleeding out in a subtle lightshow for all to see as the two fighters formally met.

--

This one was either confident or stupid. Or both. Blah blah blah war kin blah blah burnt. Did he not listen even a little bit? Did he not realize she was the one who called out where people were supposed to go? That she was a teacher??

This was the first time that this had happened so far to this extent. So rude. She rolled her eyes as he approached and tossed his bandaged. Smart move, kinda gross, but he clearly still had no idea what he was up against.

"No magic," Seryva said very simply as she allowed the hit to connect. In the same motion, however, she used her leg to swipe his out from under him with enough force to knock him on his ass. She wasn't going to put up with that shit right after she had told them to not use magic. She was unfazed from the punch and looked at him with annoyance and disdain, "Understand, war-kin?"

--
Wide eyed and tooth clickin' Zak was shocked at the strike's null effect, it didn't make sense to him how she'd taken his best. He was no slouch physically, being an efficient mesh of wiry muscle with good form on a punch and he'd thrown a bomb. The kind that'd clean knock a normal person, he was sure of it.... Something wasn't adding up but Zak wouldn't focus on it, this wasn't his first rodeo. He'd fought iron chins before and this, while unexpected because of Seryva's look, was no different. He'd simply follow his first hit with a combo, bend the steel through attrition...

Or so he would have, but gravity is a bitch and he'd been legswiped before the plan could mould. It was a pain in the ass to be knocked down so early with such good position but Zak was agile and dropping back he flipped the fall to a reverse roll and then a kneel with his feet firm planted in the sand. Like a spring he paused at the apex, building power before launching in for more like Tiger to prey.

"Lucky are ya!?!" Zak yells out as he flies forward, and using the spare second he thinks of a combination. A half dozen strikes was the plan. First would be a strong right leg to the midsection with momentum from his spring as power base, the next hit would be an uppercut to meet her descending head after the center strike. Then would come four straight to the face that'd leave her sprawled.

--
"Right... lucky. At least you aren't using magic now," Seryva said, her arm shooting out with blinding speed to meet his kick. Her hand connected with his ankle in her palm and she twisted, talking all the while, "Where are you from, anyway? I swear I haven't heard that accent since I took my tests. Terra Augurium? Maybe somewhere out in the boonies?" She took his slightly interrupted uppercut to her belly instead, hard as stone to the point where it might leave his knuckles a little sore.

"You're actually quite the scrapper, aren't you? I'm impressed. When I first came in, I would have been a wet towel compared to you."

--
Things were crystallizing for Zak. He could see a level of strength in Seryva that past opponents couldn't match. It was dawning on him that this enemy was strong and with a shallow grin his hand shook, but not of fear. Rather anticipation and pain from the rock solid purchase his punch had found.

"Mitacoobra [snakemother] you're a cold one en?" Zak chuckles, looking to the girl with anger and admiration mixed, adding on a coy - - "My roots are mine ya tough talk. A wet towel you still are to me!" in a shout as he regains composure, and getting in even tighter he fires a hard left elbow at the side of her head. Stronger than any punch if the strike landed Zak was confident it'd sting, but Ultimas don't get to their legend status without having legendary toughness...

--
"Oh-ho-ho. You're fun," she responded, his own 'tough talk' getting nothing but a big grin in return. She took the left elbow to the head, moving about six inches with the hit. She blinked, eyebrows raising, "I actually felt that one a bit. You've definitely fought before. Nice. I'll play a little more then. I think you deserve it."

She tapped his cheek with blinding speed but a gentle touch, and hopped back a few feet. She then shot forward and aimed for his gut with a fist aimed downwards. She was purposefully going slow enough to dodge.

Assuming she missed, however, her fist connected with the ground with a massive thud. It sent dirt flying and left a huge impact. She righted herself, "Oh. Shit. Damn it. First my desk. Then at dinner. Now this. I really need to stop getting excited."

She looked back at her opponent, "That didn't scare you off, did it?"

--
Jumping back five paces Zak dodged the blow with an eye twitch to Seryva's surprising power. He hadn't sensed magic in her attack, it was clear that what'd caved the earth in around her was brute strength alone. He'd seen power enough to crater ground before but only from titanic mutants born in the dusts. This girl though... Well she was pure human from the looks, but strength like that wasn't something a person could muster. Whatever it was, it wasn't solely human and raising interest most of all was Seryva's past statement. How she'd said "when first arrived she'd be a wet towel compared to him" meaning that this inhuman strength could be gained by a student.

Perfect, that's what Zak needed most.

"I've seen at' before, thrown by big ones from the dust with steel arms thick's tree trunks but you? You're amped by sumn yeah? That ain't birth given issit?" Zak asks, respectful for the first time since coming to the school.

"My road's to a fight that only your power can take so nay ya Cold Blood, I'm not scared, first time I'm avin' fun all day. Be nice to see where I'll be at in a couple seasons" Zak gleans with a cocky shoulder bounce and an air of invincibility despite his poor situation. To an outsider it'd look delusional but the boy was War Kin, outsiders could kick rocks. War Kin fought no matter the odds and bore the pain to foster strength, this was just a part of the process. If he dwelled on the bad he'd be out in advance, and that was unacceptable. He'd face it proud, win or lose, victor or stretcher, all in. He'd put on a hell of a show, even if it landed him in the infirmary on the first day. That was how his people were for better or worse and he'd make them proud, even if they were a world away.

It was a tough position though, despite his outer appearance Zak was now well aware of her abilities. Seryva could take his best and move fast as wind. If he went light and mobile he'd be ineffective, but powerful wasnt doing the trick either... Well, not the usual power hit. He'd have to do something drastic, something that'd land harder than anything else he'd done, a real freakin blast because nothing else seemed to hurt. He had something in mind though, reckless as it were, and running to the teacher full speed Zak places every ounce of strength into a superman punch like a Deleware Smash with his fist cocking back behind his chest and out like a piston, his forward jump adding momentum to the attack directed at her stoic face. It was a hail Mary, and gave Seryva every opening, but if she took the attack like she had the others perhaps some ground would finally gain.

--
"I'm what's called an ultima. Don't look it, but I am," Seryva brushed off her hand on her pants, smiling at Zak. If only she could use magic right now. She'd show him 'cold blood'. "Definitely not birth given, and it's a pain to get to this point. I started at twelve, and it took me four years of intensely hard work. I'm the youngest they've ever had... which means, of course, I have my fair share of troubles, but still. So far I think it's worth it. Nice and strong. Get to help out the school. They help me out with whatever I need. It works."

She paced back a few yards as he thought about what to do, tucking hair behind her ear as she went, "Took on some real horrifying creatures to get here. The Crystal Fields can be a real horror show, full of nightmares."

She didn't expect him to run full-on at her. To be honest, he actually caught her off-guard. The other ultimas would be disappointed in her if they had seen her jump like a startled cat.

All the same, he didn't connect. Like clockwork, a practiced response came out of Seryva. She side-stepped as the punch came in and grasped his wrist in what felt like slow motion. Her body turned like a pirouette, back facing his stomach, and used his momentum to flip him with his arm.

...

"Oops," the response barely squeaked out of Seryva as she watched this poor boy go flying like he had just been hit by a giant in Skyrim.

Too much force. He was lucky the flip sent him more up and out than down and out. Down would have sent him to an early grave, or at least the ER. Up, however, sent him careening off The Ring and into the barrier.

His body would hit with a resounding PONG and subsequent warble before he would start to slide down to the lowest point below the trade island. The inside of the barrier removed all force of impact gently, but her flip... she wouldn't be surprised if he had a dislocated or broken shoulder.

Her nose scrunched, and she looked around with a sheepish smile, "...Next?"

Pandora
The Ring
Sparring

Watching mouth wobble ahead of her Pandora was blissful unaware of the predator lurking in the crowd behind her. Like a bloodhund scenting its prey Guiren locked onto Pandora's figure and came up behind her. It wasn't until she felt a hand clamp painfully tightly against her shoulder that she realized anything was a foot. Head snapping to the side the short haired girls leisure posture turned to a rather aggressive one at the drop of a dime. Mouth mirrored its masters sudden change of mood as it reacted to the sudden presence of danger. Its toothed tail coiled behind Pandora and snagged against the back of Guirens shirt. "Don't touch me." Pandora spoke direct and without emotion. She knew the guy was prone to violence already, she had to get him away immediately. Unfurling from her head the pixie suddenly burst into the air, its normal cuteish look turning something more sinister as it began to try and pull on Guirens ears with one hand and clip bits of hair with the other.

To her luck Guirens attention was pulled away from her for a split second allowing her to dart away in the chaos of a challenge being thrown at the bully. Getting out of view she heard the noise of rocks and the sight of magic being used despite the directive not to. Noting the bullies quick tendency to use magic she turned only to realize she nearly walked into a wall. Blushing she turned around again and waited until it was obvious Guiren was entirely sucked into the fight. Now away she looked towards the teacher "What was I supposed to do? Im... not really a fighter. I was just going to.. I don't really know what I was going to do." Pandora admitted, realizing she should have thought about having to actually fight someone.

GN..jpg Guiren grunted as the kick caused him to stumble a bit. Shit. Maybe he should've listened to the teachers. He had only done a simple thing and already his vision was wavering. Don't you dare back down now. Gritting his teeth in attempt to use pain to focus, the dark-haired boy glared at Ian. Fucking crazy ass bastard. Gangster? Really? His body was void of tattoos or any gang related marks, so why the hell did this guy think that Guiren was a gangster? Or is that supposed to be a lame ass insult? Either way, the guy's attitude was seriously pissing him off. Shifting his weight, he dashed over to the sword wielder and drew his hand back for a punch. However, Guiren wasn't an idiot. He wasn't about to let this guy slice his fucking arm off. Concentrating, he used his depleted mana once again to make the ground obey his commands. Like he did during his caster class, the earth underneath Ian softened before reaching out to violently pull the boy into the ground. If he doesn't notice it, then he'll sink up to his neck. If he does avoid the attack, Guiren will dodge to right before aiming a low kick to the back of Ian's knees that could cause him to fall.

xelon & Mavior
(Collaboration post)
location: sparring Interaction: Kyrenka Kyrenka
Xelon was a little confused by the others persons rather... emotionless in his response of course he shook there hand as they introduced themselves in a similar emotionless way Xelon just smiled “well nice to meet you Mavior. don’t worry I won’t change your name guess your not really the nickname tame type?” Trying to strike further conversation although Mavior seemed to not want to... disappointing after the teacher explained the rules Xelon wondered if he should just wait or not, well that was until mavior asked “yeah you got my name right, and also yes would be a waste so sure why not” even though he was tired Xelon was still excited, not that he new what he was doing, but it would be fun nonetheless.

Mavior gave a brief nod before responding. "Excellent." and without another word, made some space between himself and his would be opponent, eyes quickly searching him for a moment. Equal sized stature, though it was hard to gauge how well practiced he was in physical combat, that variable would have to wait. Lifting his hands into a traditional boxer stance he exhaled a slow breath. "Alright...when you're prepared.". As xelon started his measured approach, Mavior kept his eyes darting over his opponents limbs...which was coming first? A fist pulled back, which was his sign to dodge just as it wiffed past his face...a leg lifted, his sign to side step. Pages of books and videos he'd watched for study kept playing through his head after each attempt to hit him...but he couldn't just keep dodging. It was frankly exhausting to try to gauge each move before it happened, let alone move in time to correctly dodge...he had to end this. He wasn't strong enough to put his opponent down with a punch, or even ten..he'd have to try something else.

There! His opponent over extended in a swing, giving him his one and possibly only opportunity. He closed in, his hand going to the back of his opponents neck,a palm on his bicep. In a swift motion, he transferred that palm to his opponents wrist, using the momentum from his opponent to aid in flipping him into a pin, his arm held up in the air by Mavior in a rather uncomfortable grapple. "Yield?" he managed to breathe out between panting breaths...he was going to need to work harder, just getting winded from one move and dodging was inexcusable.

Xelon was kinda surprised about how quickly that went he was to tried to do anything else “yes... I... yield” he said between long exhausted breaths “ill.. just. Stay here a minute” he managed to blurt out before almost falling asleep.

Fast as she were it mattered not, running without wind magic at her back was boring and dreadful and boring and dreadful and ughhhh, Siggie hated it more than expected. Maybe upgrading her stringy limbs at the weight section was a better option after all, but looking like a quitter this early? NOPE! Not yet! Quitting had to take place after an alloted time and it hadn't hit yet. Guesstimating with her tight connection to the chronoverse it was about seven hundred and eighty two seconds too early to quit. If she quit before then it'd raise a brow on the topic of her motivation, and that right there was a no Bueno on day number one.... so it was settled then, 100% in the books that she'd endure slow normal human workout running that normal human people did instead of the fun free running of home and ughhhh it was disgusting, so anti-fun.

Something had to be done about this boredom and the boring rice cakes she pulled from the enchanted pouch at her waist weren't helping at all be - -

Nomnomnom

because they were Un - -

Crunchcrunchcrunch

Unflavored, not that it mattered, they'd be devoured but unflavored rice crackers an exciting dish they're not. So running the track munching away Siggie thought of a plan. Something that'd shake the shackles of boredom from her weary boredom heavy shoulders of running boredom. She'd....

(drumroll for effect)

Talk to fellow students! Genius, 10/10, yes this is.... This is it right here.... Write that down.... Exactly yes just like - -

"RICE CRACKERS?"

Siggie asks in an outside voice to a duo beside her who dipped and dashed through a game of tag. Looked fun to Sig *cough jealous of other people enjoying a boring activity cough* plus they had an interesting look. Hohlt couldn't place it, being vaguely familiar but unknown, from where did these people hail? 🤔 It had to be something a teacher had shown, maybe sumn about pre cataclysm America? Or um.....

.....

.....

Sigh this is why ya don't cut classes kids, even in the illustrious Detroit school system. Whatever the case, they looked cool so small talk she would with these fun loving, oddly familiar but also foreign looking people of the track squad. It was her only move at this point, all in.. just be normal. Am I right or? I'm right, and not a shy one Siggie jumped from her initial offer to a loud, very Americana - -

"SO UM"

Crunchcrunchcrunch

"Where ya two from??? I'm Siggie... Hohlt... Detroit..."

(Said while chewing)

"I really... Hate this non magic running... Thing and um.. RICE CRACKERS??" Hohlt intro'd between bites, extending the rice crackers out and to the two as an olive branch of sorts.

Yanvara noticed someone walking in her directions although they couldn't tell who they were which they thought were likely a student until they cupped their hands under the bar which surprised them a bit. Upon hearing their voice they were able to deduce that they were likely a teacher or a pretty old student but after hearing what they said they were pretty sure that they were a teacher. Although the fact she automatically knew her name did freak them out a bit, maybe they did meet before and she just didn't remember. But despite the she listened to them as she was finishing up her rep and after finishing it ,she sighed a bit before going about to speak to them "Yeah, im a bit frustrated , i just didn't expect that when i sighned up for her class i was sighning up for some military training and considering this is just the first day we're barely surviving i highly doubt most of us in her class will survive the entire year with her. Its just not something i was expecting on the first day and first year that was for sure."

"Ahh," Ellania mused, pursing her lips, "Diana is like that. She's sweet though, I assure you. Pace yourself and she will understand that she needs to slow down. Don't let her intimidate you into pushing yourself so hard you collapse. She forgets that not everyone is as enthusiastic as she is." She picked up the bar Yanvara was working on with a hand and swapped out the weights for heavier ones with her other hand, "There's so much new to you all. The first day is always difficult. I'm sure you'll settle into a routine in no time. The caster classes are difficult regardless of who you have, unfortunately. My own students - I'm the Vene Navitas teacher - they had to punch a rock with their abilities over and over again. I recognize that that is just about as far from fun as you can get. It works, though. It pushes your mana pool to its limits."

She looked around, spotting at least a few random students that had exhausted themselves, using mana now despite being warned not to, "You can spot some people who pushed themselves too far as is. It's dangerous, but it's important when learning." Ellania rested the heavier bar back down, "Try this one."

Maria.jpg María's initial expression of vague amusement morphed into a mixture of impressed, determined, and vaguely horrified. Carajo. It wasn't that hard to keep ahead of Miranda, she was a soldier after all, but she didn't want the tinier girl to wear herself out too badly; not to mention the fact that the brunette just really didn't have the heart to deny the child a treat. Just a few more laps. It felt like she was dangling a bone in front of a dog, with her being the bone and Miranda being the dog, but it was effective. They completed laps around the track at a decent pace, occasionally either passing or being passed by other students. One boy in particular seemed to be eyeing Miranda, but it could've just been due to her earlier outburst. She's certainly loud when she wants to be. Nearing what María deemed to be their final lap, the soldier began slowing down in order to let her roommate catch up to her. As stressful as living with Miranda was, she had to admit that she felt bad for her too. She obviously had no money and no support. It took a while for María to figure out that the younger girl was on her own, and it was starting to gnaw at her conscious. We should have a talk. Dessert was nice and all, but the brunette wanted to step things up. If Miranda had no money, then she was more than willing to provide for groceries, clothes, and other supplies. Dessert can be a training treat, but she's going to need some damn essentials. It'd have to wait until after class; that is, if Miranda wasn't too tuckered out after chasing María.

Agreeing to play tag with Maria was a big mistake for Miranda. Even though, she didn't know that Maria was a soldier. There was no way for her to win, because of how much stamina Maria has. Heck, this situation is like a cheetah trying to catch a gazelle. The gazelle can get away from the cheetah, since the cheetah isn't good at turning.

Miranda tried her best to get Maria with how fast she was going. However, when it was the final lap. She realized that it is impossible to catch her. To add insult to injury, Maria ended up slowing down, so she can catch up with her. This made Miranda upset, because she wanted to get the dessert in a fair way. '...This game is so not fair. I want to catch Maria with a challenge, but she seems to make it easier.' thought Miranda, because she doesn't like unfair or easy games.
Upon being upset over that did her wind magic activated, but what Miranda did with it was the most surprising part. She literally did a long jump in order to try to tag Maria. "MARIA!" said Miranda, who appeared to be trying to pounce on Maria like a cat while in the air. Speaking of a cat, her white cat tail was out in the open.

Kitchi looks to see a girl running next to them who yelled rice crackers, whatever those were. She then said what was presumably name but he didn't know which. "So is your name Siggie, Hohlt, or Detroit?"

"Siggie but you can call me Sig.... or Siggie and uh... Detroit's home, it's a big place like BIG it's where sky towns are built!" explained Sig with the cracker waving about in her wildly gesturing hand.

The Native American duo had slowed down their pace at this point, allowing for a comfortable conversation while they took their time around the course. Chepi accepted the offered snack with curiosity. She tried to hide it, but as soon as she took a bite her face fell with disappointment and mild disgust. Dutifully, she finished the snack she was given. Her interest was reignited with Siggie’s words though. “Sky towns? What’re those?”

It was a good thing Chepi finished the cracker. The Satchel of Snacking blessed dutiful eaters with good fortune on snacks to come, fortune cashed in with the next snack. A literal plate of smores it was, marshmallows warm from a distant fire and holding out the small dish Siggie offered up after grabbing some for herself. Knocking two back as the question came Sig was happy that her new friend was interested in Detroit. It was something she could talk about for hours, easy conversation! So answering with - -"Oh sky towns!" she began, continuing with "They're super cool um.... They're the big cities that float around the New Republic like Third Orleans and New Miami... Those are sky towns! Detroit builds them in this HUUGE crater we made into a drydock! But-umm, how about you two?!? Where're you from??"

"We're from what you people call the NRNA wastelands." Kitchi says trying the sweet smelling s'more and enjoying it greatly. "These are good!" He says reaching for another. "I'm Kitchi and this is my wife Chepi." He says before inquiring: "I'm sorry if I'm not familiar with the places you talk about. We only left the forest about a month ago." He says eating another s'more.

Eyeing the new plate of unfamiliar snacks with caution, she waited for Kitchi’s reaction before taking one for herself. Sugar wasn’t a huge part of their diet, so the sweetness of this new treat was almost overwhelming. It’s not bad though. Limiting herself time only one s’more, Chepi listened with fascination at the girl’s description of sky towns. To think that an entire city could float above everyone else like a cloud, it sounded amazing! Although she had her own questions, she set them aside for a more pressing matter. “You’re going to make yourself sick,” she warned her husband as she watched him grab another snack. The girl she wasn’t worried about; at the rate Siggie was eating, Chepi was tempted to think that she wasn’t human. Kitchi, however, was very much human and not at all immune to the consequences of overeating while running and eating too many sweets.

Giggling at Chepi's admonishment Sig's face widened to a smile. They were a cute couple indeed! From such an interesting place too! Hohlt'd never been near the wasteland and what school taught wasn't pretty. The fact that such well mannered people of fair look were from a place like that surprised the now-interested & smore munching girl. So much so that the first thing she responded with in the fresh silence was "OHMAGOD You're from the wasteland!!!" belted out after another smore'd been executed. So many questions and so many questions and so many questions ran through Sig's head at the news, which ones would she ask? And which ones could she ask in good taste? Whatever! "Have you ever seen a Sandwyrm!?? Is it true that people ride them!?? What about the Bigfoot? And what's your home Iike? The wasteland too... is it... dangerous!?!" the final word dramatic like an aloud-reader narrating horror-tales of mutant beasts and wasteland wars. What a place indeed! One fascinating in so many ways and to talk with people from the deadlands was very very very.... very exciting, but Siggie'd reign it in for the sake of first impressions! Only so many questions could be asked all at once without over-stepping good manner. So at five she'd stop, tongue biting with anticipation & the desire to let her motor mouth run loose.

Chepi's eyebrows rose at the other girl's sudden excitement. It wasn't like se couldn't relate to her though. Just like how the people within the Wastelands were ignorant of the outside world, the outside world was mostly ignorant of them. Although, none of the creatures Siggie described were familiar. Kitchi was obviously thrown for a loop, and so was Chepi for a moment. Sandwyrm? A realization hit her. Does she think that we live in a desert? "It's as dangerous as normal life can be," Chepi said slowly. The Wastelands had different dangers than the outside world did, but both had dangers; it was just a fact of life. She shuddered as she remembered her first encounter with a 'car' and how it nearly ran her over. "The Wastelands were beautiful," wistfulness colored Chepi's voice, "Spring was my favorite season; the fields would bloom so wonderfully and the forests would be alive." Nostalgia crept through her for a moment. She wouldn't deny that she missed their tribe, but she didn't regret leaving it either. Besides, I still have the most important thing. Chepi glanced at her husband and smiled. Without him, she doubted that she would've ever dared to venture outside of the Wastelands.

Cocking her head an inch Sig realized the error. Trusting him on a subject beside building was a mistake, and as usual pops was wrong on the topic of Sandwyrms and BIGFOOTS! Pfffffft! Even the names were ridiculous now that Hohlt thought them over but whatever! The couple didn't seem offended, just a little confused which was understandable and Phewwwwwwwww! Crisis averted for the time. Some people would get offended by stuff like that but the pair seemed alright with Kitchi asking clarifiers and Chepi describing the "wasteland", a misnomer if her description held. A place of lush blooming springs and forests filled with animal life didn't sound like much of a wasteland! It sounded like a paradise! HNGGGGGGGGG!!!! JEALOUSY MULTIPLIED BY 1000 That was the kind of place Siggie longed for being a girl from an industrial pit. So excited n' loud she answered with "REALLY!?! Wow I thought it'd be so much more um.... DEAD!" with wide parsed eyes excited through a quick pause. "That's so cool oh my God! Detroit is like.... the exact opposite! We don't have any plants there at all! The only animals are pests like BIG rats and roaches! We have some tunnel bats too.... They attack people sometimes! I guess the Wyrm and Bigfoots aren't real... My dad's a goof!" she concedes dissapointed, rubbing the back of her head before concluding with - - "Your home sounds like such a great place to live! I'd never leave it!" said with a smile as the trio round the track.

"There are many dangerous creatures in the forest, our tribes have learned to appease them or avoid them to survive. Sometimes our elders will remove them but that sometimes upsets the balance of the forest so unless needed the great forest beasts are left alone as they let us hunt lesser ones in peace." He says before pausing. "Our home is wonderful but we were banished due to our curiosity of the outside world, we can't return until we've proved ourselves by gathering great knowledge or taking down a mighty beast. Aside this place is also wonderful, we can have our rooms like home yet experience the outside world... well outside." Kitchi said breaking out of his shell for once as he is usually very quiet.

19:30 - Fitness Class, The Ring, NEVERMIND NOT SPARRING
Ivanna watched the one boy get flipped off into the distance by the teacher like it was nothing. Her eyes went wide, a mixture of fear and fascination. Was he gonna be okay?? It was pretty clear the teacher didn't mean to do that... but was that allowed? Like... could she get flipped like that? Her face paled a tiny bit and she nervously giggled, looking up at her new friend Omar, "Okay maybe we don't have to spar. I'd rather not end up in the nurse's office..."

She shook her head, laughing more boisterously now as another student started to spar with the teacher, "That's ultima for ya though! All sorts of power. It can be really intimidating. One time, when I was at home in the garden with Mama, someone tried to attack me while she went inside. That sort of thing is when you see ultima realllllly turn it on! Flinging someone away like a flea is nothing! Still though... I'd never want to be on the wrong end of that."

"Mm... Maybe we should run instead! There's a big group chatting! Let's go say hi!!!" she was off before he could even respond, having decided that the gaggle of students looked like a lot more fun than possibly getting crippled. Plus they were people! She loved meeting new people!

She ran up and barely caught the end of the conversation. Something about the NRNA and the wastes they had there.

"Ooo! I like this topic!" she squeaked, her tiny form now jogging alongside with relative ease - her Mama always made her train, after all, "Are we talking about the wastes? Hi!! I'm Ivanna! Nice to meet you all. I love learning about the wastelands. The NRNA wastes have a lot of diverse flora and fauna. There's desert, forest, mountain, water... all sorts of biomes! I think one of my favorites is the Horned Wolf-bear. They're so pretty, and they're pretty smart too! Ooo! But I like all sorts of Wyrms that are endemic to the continent too. There are these sandwyrms that are super scary. They're in the desert only, I think, but they're big and they swim their way through the sand to snatch their meals!"

She made the motion with her hand of the wyrm wriggling through the sand, only to RAWR and swoop up to grab her other hand, "They're kinda dangerous, but they're also not the brightest. They have a big problem of biting off more than they can chew. They'll try to grab a cart or something, despite not being able to get it in their mouth."
