This is the character sheets thread for The Hunter's Game RP.

NOTES:
◊ - Human characters only.
◊ - Faceclaim isn't required, you can also just do a written appearance if you'd like.
◊ - I've included a bio section, but it's not required that you write every aspect of your character's background there - if there are things you want to reveal later and keep secret for now, feel free to.
◊ - One thing I will say, is that the reason all of these characters were picked for the game is because, for the most part, people won't realise that they've gone missing instantly. (So no characters that are public figures or celebrities, for example.)

appearance: Since Maya virtually never goes outside, she doesn't do much to maintain her appearance. Her skin is pale and freckled, her brown eyes ringed with dark circles, and her black hair hangs limply onto her shoulders. She has a small, skinny build, and bad posture that gives her a withdrawn, 'mousey' look.

Her outfits often consist of 'comfort' clothing you'd lounge around the house in - sweaters, joggers, leggings, t-shirts with dumb slogans you'd never dare wear out in public.

personality: Maya is an intelligent, well-spoken woman, but these qualities are hindered by her extreme social anxiety. She finds it difficult to voice her opinions, especially the more contentious ones, and will shrink away from confrontation.

She's introspective, and doesn't like to just take things at face value without deeper examination. If something seems even slightly suspicious, she's perceptive enough to spot it, and it'll nag away at her until she investigates further.

Due to past traumas, Maya is deeply insecure and very critical of herself. She often thinks of herself as a burden to others, hence her withdrawing from society. It's difficult for her to establish relationships with people as a result, because she doesn't feel like she deserves it and often tends to think they're lying to her.

Another notable thing about Maya is her quick mind, which can be quite formidable when paired with her perceptiveness. She's surprisingly strategic, however, she has a tendency to freeze like a deer stuck in headlights when in a confrontation, and this makes it difficult to follow throw with a plan.

biography:
history: Maya had a promising future ahead of her. She had a great relationship with her family, she was excelling in her classes, and she had multiple valid pathways to take her career down. She wasn't great at socialising, but had a close-knit group of friends who she relied on for support, and even a budding relationship.

Now, she barely leaves the house.

After witnessing a particularly traumatic event and losing her mother, Maya completely withdrew from society. This was in part because Maya believed she could've prevented it - and she wasn't the only one. Her father held her accountable for it, too, and when she began to lose contact with the outside world, he did little to maintain a relationship with her. Her anxiety, which had at one point been a nasty but minor part of her life, progressed into a full blown panic disorder, and she stopped going outside unless it was necessary.

In the current day, Maya often feels like her life has 'stopped'. She's fully adjusted to her life as a hermit, working entirely online and having her groceries delivered straight to her house, and has a reliable 'routine', but as time passes and people change, Maya is still in the same house, the same person she was in her late teens, in a world that has mostly forgotten she exists.

- Maya has a form of agoraphobia, a panic disorder that arises when someone with it is placed into a situation that they deem stressful, dangerous, or otherwise believe something bad will happen if they're there. This often results in people being unable to leave their home - Maya is one of these people. She can venture outside, but crowded places incite panic attacks, especially malls.

- To pass the time, Maya enjoys studying up on miscellaneous topics, resulting in her knowing a lot of (largely useless) information about various things.

- She has a pet pacman frog named Salieri.

Allegra would consider herself hardworking, doing a job no one else wants to do and trying to turn her life around for the better. Allegra tries to ignore this, but she constantly feels lonely, the only people she knew were some friends from the adoption centre, and they’re either still there or with their loving adoptive families, slowing pushing Allegra away because they finally have a nice life. Because of this, if anyone gives Allegra some form of attention/kindness/love, she starts to hang around them like a shadow. Overall, she's very friendly and outgoing and will try to help someone out however she can, because she thinks by doing so that will make them like her or want to be friends. Though communication is hard being mute, she tries her best.

BIO:

Allegra was born with defects in her vocal cords, due to impact on her mothers’ pregnant stomach by her abusive father. Luckily when she was born Allegra was quickly taken from her parents and put into an adoption agency, she has no memories of her past family as she was so young. Because of her damaged vocal cords, she was unable to make any sound using her voice and was considered mute. Allegra grew up in the adoption agency, no one wanted her because of her condition so her entire childhood was spent there with the other kids/teens. Allegra found her love for reading and writing there and once she turned 18 and had to leave, she got a job as a food deliverer and an extremely low budget apartment. Allegra just tried to earn enough money to survive while trying to finish writing a book she knew would turn her miserable life around, but before she could do so, she woke up somewhere that wasn’t her bedroom…

personality;
Davin Leoric Maxwell leads a rather introverted life. He has aquaintances, but he would rather stick to himself and avoid having to partake in the chaotic art of being social. He spends his time drawing with aspirations of becoming a tattoo artist. His work is rather amazing, but its impossible to ever get him to show you anything. Its not like Davin is trying to be a pariah. He's awkward, though cute in a dorky way, and his low-cut sarcasm may not be the choice brand of humor for the other kids who are his age. Often or not, Davin can be seen with a cup of coffee in his hands. He's a self-made insomniac. His night-terrors curbed this habit of his. And there isn't a moment when his playlist isn't blaring some form of Deftones or Tool. And, unless you're his Best Friend, there is only one way to get Dav to smile: A red-Velvet IceCream Cupcake with Buttercream Frosting from Kinkle's Sugar Shop.

biography;
Davin is the only child of a woman who wants to be there but doesn't have the time. He and his mother live in a little house on Cherryview Way. Their neighbors would tell you that they're nice, reserved folks. But, that's almost never the case when you look at people from another angle. Dav was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his junior year, following a massive breakdown. Some say it was the stress of Finals that did it. Some said his mother wasn't caring for him, which was rude. The truth is that the boy just inherited the wrong set of genes from someone who wasn't even worth looking into. After some time in a ward and the stiff end of a therapist chair for a few sessions, Davin seemed to piece himself back together.

Then, something strange happened. The boy with unruly black hair whom people tried to steer clear of made a friend. His mother was enthused and the girl seemed sweet enough--if not a little brute. It started with a drama project and quickly evolved into something that was actually delightful in Dav's life. He showed her his Horror film collection and his drawings and she opened the boy up in a way no one had been able to do. They were practically inseparable. Unfortunately, bad tides were the way of making several people's lives forever marred.

James doesn’t get along with strangers very well and usually wants them to leave him alone, he gets cold and defensive, not caring how harsh he is. James got along with his friends back home, doing stupid stuff as drunk teenagers and messing around, it was fun, and he misses it. He tries to never show weakness and is untrusting, traits he gained with work, and saying James has anger issues would be an understatement, any little insult or look will piss him off and he will definitely let you know that he’s mad.

James was like a lot of kids in his poor neighbourhood, not enough money for a good education and family who couldn’t even look after themselves, let alone him and his younger sister. As young teens, James had friends who we’re already getting in trouble with the law, mainly because they were stealing or dealing to provide for them and their family, and eventually James started doing the same, mainly dealing. As he got older, his ‘businesses’ grew, but he got involved with people he didn’t fully understand, he was arrogant about his success and tried to rip off the wrong people. One day James woke up to the sound of windows smashing, he ran downstairs holding a bat only to see they were gone, and the wall was spray-painted with a large red ‘YOUR DEAD’ James knew they meant it and had no choice but to go into hiding, staying at different motels each night with the money he earned and trying to find a place he would be safe. Everyone back home probably thought he was dead, killed by those people, but he tried to not think of his life there.
