"Ah, well, I guess we're on opposing teams," Lugh said to Noah. "So, uh, see you in the court."

He stepped away from his seat and hurried over to his volleyball court, stopping briefly to pick up a yellow jersey. He removed his jacket and placed it to the side, replacing it with the mesh shirt. Lugh had played volleyball before, though not often. It wasn't a sport he was particularly good at, though there weren't really any of those. In school, which were the only times he'd played before, he'd been average in terms of physical capabilities.

Lugh loitered next to his assigned court, waiting for his teammates to come up. Isroh and Cordelia, huh? Neither were names he was familiar with, but that was the same with most of the names he'd heard being called out. The only name he recognized from the other team was Noah. The blond boy didn't appear to be very athletic, so hopefully (though he felt guilty thinking it) Lugh would have an easier time.

There was one of the players from the other team on the court, a tall, angry looking boy who seemed to practically radiate displeasure. He also looked far more athletic than Lugh was, and that did not bode well. Regardless, he'd just have to play as well as he could and, with any luck, not get hit in the face.

James Sanderson

Despite telling himself that it was best to open the door, James couldn't actually bring himself to move from his spot, five feet away from it. He heard what the man said, and couldn't help but grimace at the words. It wasn't as if he could just ignore the principle. Not only was Val-, Mr., Valdez his elder, but also the leader of the entire school.
The young man stared at the door, swallowing uncertainly and waiting through a minute of silence after the Principal left. Taking a moment to gather what courage he might have, James turned and walked into his room to change. He traded the dark green blazer for his gray hoodie, and khaki slacks for new dark jeans that the organization had gifted him.

It didn't take him long to get changed, but James wasn't entirely sure how long he spent trying to straighten his uniform back on the hanger how it was, and hang it up as neatly as possible.

Just minutes after he finished fixing his uniform in its place in his closest, James found himself moving through the dormitories glass double-doors that led to the huge courtyard.
It would be fine, everyone would be busy with the volleyball, so it would be okay.

Rowan Carter

For some odd reason, Rowan couldn't help but stare right back at the little owl creature. The girl smiled lightly in wide-eyed awe as she took in its cute little features, and the amazing way it could turn it's head. She looked up at the other girl with an awkward chuckle. "I suppose that was a bit of a silly question for me to ask, since we're all new here." It was surprisingly hard to remember that was was far from the only new entity at the school. Many student weren't entirely sure what was going on yet, but Rowan was sure that all they needed was a little practice. When she looked down to see the owl creature still staring at her, she giggled. "Oh, I don't mind! Khione's quite the cute little pet." She took the girl's hand readily, lightly shaking it twice before letting go. "You have such a pretty name! I'm Rowan. It's really nice to meet you too, Cordelia." Rowan smiled warmly at the girl, glad she was able to successfully introduce herself to another student.

She was just about to make another comment about Khione when the speakers came on again, announcing teams. She could feel her eyes automatically widen with excitement. "Oh the tournament's starting!" She looked back at Cordelia with a grin. "I hope we get the chance to know each other! Good luck!" With a giggle and a couple steps backwards, Rowan turned herself around and ran off to find wherever the red team was supposed to be.
Really, it didn't take long. A big white haired boy in a bright red jersey was kind of hard to miss. It took a little maneuvering to get through the crowd, but she was able to do so without much trouble and swipe a jersey before skipping up to her teammate. "Hey! Are you Luxu or Noah?"

"Why thank you! But I must say you have a lovely name as well, Rowan." An equally warm smile on her face as the two shook hands for a moment. Khione on the other hand was purring joyfully at the compliment Rowan had given her. Though before Cordelia got the chance to talk to Rowan a bit longer the headmaster's voice came on over the speakers. It would seem that the tournament was starting. As she listened to who would be on which the witch bit her lip slightly. Rowan was on the opposing team, So much for thinking we might be on the same team, or at least asking if she could watch Khione while I participate, she thought to herself a bit sadly. When Rowan said her goodbye Cordelia smiled, "I hope so too! Best of luck!"

After Rowan had walked towards the court she let out a sigh and looked at the creature on her shoulder a bit worriedly. "Khione sweetie could you go fly up and sit in the stands? I don't believe you're allowed to participate, plus I don't want you getting hurt," her voice was soft when she spoke. Khione wasn't too keen on being left out, but she knew it was for the best. So the gryphowl gave a nod of her head to reassure the girl. A bit of tension in Cordelia faded with that nod from Khione. "Thank you." With that she headed to the volleyball court that was set up nearby. Only after she arrived on the court did Khione take off to the bleachers nearby, settling herself on an empty spot towards the end. Cordelia on the other hand had grabbed a jersey that was, well, not really the witch's taste. But whatever, it was just for this game. So she slipped it on over her crimson blouse before heading over to her teammate who was already donning a jersey.

On the other side of the net Cordelia spotted Rowan and gave a friendly smile to her, but it seemed that she was talking to her own teammate.
"My, he seems... friendly," she commented quietly to Lugh, who she was now standing a couple of feet from. Gold eyes now looking at him as she rubbed her arm a bit.

At Mr Valdez' announcement Fuka's eyes widened and she looked at Ace, frowning for amo.ent but quickly breaking into a grin. "Well well! Looks like we'll be opponents for this event" she said with a wink "don't go easy on me 'kay?" With that she turned back to Edith with a softer smile "you ready Edith?" She asked "if possible, I wanna win after all!"

Getting a little impatient she pointed over to the courts "I'm gonna grab myself a jersey, meet you over there soon!" She said as she walked quickly over, grabbing a green jersey and pulling it on as she looked around at the other teams. Seeing Rowan from earlier on one of the other courts, she smiled and gave her a big, exaggerated wave.

"If that's him being friendly, then I'd hate to see him be hostile," Lugh smiled lightly, turning to face Cordelia. He proffered his right hand, trying to manage a less awkward introduction this time. All of his interactions of the day had certainly been unusual, so this was his opportunity to make a good impression. He'd have to be able to work together with the stranger, if only for the duration of the matches. Luckily, the girl appeared to be the more amicable sort, unlike the more imposing boy on the other side of the court, who was now being joined by one of the girls from the hallway.

"Hello, my name's Lugh. Nice to meet you."

"Same as you, Luxu."
Shiyam said, before stretching a bit before heading to a volleyball court herself. She looked at the blue mesh shirt and wrapped it around her waist, forgoing trying to put it on over her armor. She did wonder how the game was played and if anyone would be willing to tell her what was needed to play the game. She was a tad bored and closed her eyes to half mass to listen to the grass for a bit. Nonsensical little things, short lived yet so informative, if you knew how to question them correctly. No threatening, they would fall silent. Bribes, good luck with trying to get enough of what they want. Conversation, its like a loop but little branches lead to what you want.

Chouko and Ryuujin
Chouko tilted her head as her subject walked off and seemingly was pissed. Hm...Maybe next time she should ask before trying to draw someone. She closed her notepad and stretched her arms up, feeling the bones in her back crack a bit in relief. Ryuujin scowled a bit, and Chouko briefly rolled her eyes before going off to get the green mesh shirt and tied it around her waist. She didn't turn around to let Ryuujin see, he was glaring at the damned thing like he could set it on fire.
"Ryuujin, stay out of the game. Do not interfere, even if you feel like I'm in danger."
She mental told him, before rolling her eyes once more and mentally sighed.
'Overly protective summon. Still can't believe I summoned him and able to withstand his test as well after all the shit I've been through....'
Chouko thought before walking to the court with Ryuujin behind her and he sat on the sidelines, magically conjuring a chair to sit in. His stare as equivalent to the man before. He was pissed and she knew it, but didn't taunt him about it.

Isroh was all smiles untill Luxu said 'battle feild'. Wait what? Battle? They were just hitting a ball around, right? Oh shit was this where he would die AGAIN? Nah, he was a demon, he was scary. he could take a hit. How hard could Luxu possibly hit the ball?

Isroh kicks off his shoes. Do I at least get a nice pair of volleyball shorts? Those things make asses look amazing. Isroh chirps over his shoulder less-than quietly, eyes staring straight at a particular elf. Who really seemed to not care about the whole butt shorts thing. OH COME ON! Who could not think about Isroh in butt shorts! Oh come on! Nothing?

Win the game and maybe there'll be some kind of reward. Tyrian mumbles, stroking his little dog happily, cheeky grin on his face...
Nuff said. Isroh nods, stretchig for a second. You're goin' down Luxu!

“Why not? I’m looking for my prey!” She joked , raising her hand above her googles. She was half right though. Encounters with dangerous people would be the most fun to have with. Especially they get mad. Then it’s a real party.

She stopped to hear the announcements. Looks like she’ll be against Fuka’s team. How fun! She might not use her power , but seeing everybody’s physical strength isn’t that bad either. Ace chuckled at Fuka’s remark.
“Haha! We’ll see about that.” She waved at Fuka and Edith , then made her way onto a table to look for her other teammates. Shiyam..was it? Ace immediately spotted a person in full body armor, and suddenly forgot about finding her teammate. Who wears a full body suit of armor to a school like this? Unless that person is as clumsy as Ace , she wouldn’t know what else it would be for.
She jumped from table to table , avoiding the crowds. Ace grabbed the mesh shirt and and tied it around her neck before meeting Shiyam.
“Yo! How you doin? I’m Ace!” She stuck out her hand , despite the fact that’s shiyam had her eyes closed and was probably doing something.

Shiyam Rosa
Shiyam opened her eyes fully, to look at the person talking to her, and holding their hand out. 'Ace' as the person said their name was and she looked at the hand with a raised eyebrow before shaking it.
"Shiyam Rosa."
She said, retracting her hand to her side. Looking at Ace in front of her, she tilted her head a bit to her left.
"Seems like I'm on your team."

With arms crossed, Luxu observed a young lady walk up, taking one of the mesh shirts and putting it on. Staring down at her, he listened to her question before deciding to answer..
"My name is Luxu, and you are?" he said, voice seeping with that sort of annoyance with everything that he'd probably break the ball upon the first hit, just because he probably didn't want to be there. Either that or something else bothering him.
Looking back up, he observed the field yet again and then looked back down to Rowan. "You are my teammate then, I suppose the other is still yet to arrive." Now placing both hands on his hips, Luxu heaved a sigh. "When they arrive, I expect us to have synergy. I clearly have the athletic edge, so let me be the attacking force. Tell me about yourself, so we can create a strategy that assures victory."
Despite that un-approachable edge to Luxu, his interest in the tourney and his desire to know his teammate took precedence over his prideful "do it alone" attitude.

Cordelia couldn't help but to chuckle at Lugh comment, "He might look even more frightening when he is. But let's hope that won't happen tonight." Noticing the boy's hand extended in greeting she let go of her arm and took his right hand in her own. Shaking hands, gently, with him as she listened to him introduce himself. "Lugh, huh. What an interesting name, I've not heard of one like it before. My name is Cordelia. Pleased to meet you!" A warm smile on her face as the two's handshake came to an end now that they were acquainted with each other. Glancing over across the net she caught a glimpse of Rowan talking to her teammate. Probably getting formalities out of the way and strategizing. Turning her gave back up, slightly, to Lugh the witch gave a nervous chuckle, "I know this might sound a bit silly, but would you mind telling me how this game is played," she asked, rather embarrassed by her lack of knowledge, "I've never played before, let alone heard much about the sport before getting here today."

Though a moment later a loud voice could be heard coming from behind them, and getting closer. Turning her head a bit Cordelia was met with the sight of what she could only assume was a demon. I'm going to guess this is Isroh, she thought to herself as she watched him stretch a bit. But something about him made the witch get a bit suspicious of him. Even though he wasn't really close to her, a small whiff of alcohol hit her nose. Perhaps he was the mysterious bottle roommate she'd be sharing the dorm room with. As much as she wanted to question Isroh about it, Cordelia knew this wasn't the time or place. For now she'll let it go and listen to Lugh so that she knew how the game worked.

Edith was about to respond to Ace's question when she heard some form of announcement. Regarding an odd word. "Volleyball?" but she was overwhelmed by the names and hardly anything being explained. She only knew that Fuka was her teamate. "Wait come back I don't know what this Ball of the Volley is!" She called chasing after the odd girl with the terrible smell.

"What is the goal of it? Are we going to war!? No wait there is clearly no sign of any hostility. Do you mortals always make assumptions that we should know this? What even is a volleyball!" She kept pelting for questions following Fuka like a lost pup with no idea of where to go. On occasion hiding at the sight of another student or even outright avoiding another one. "You mortals are so confusing!"

"Thanks," he replied, shaking Cordelia's hand. "It's Irish. And the pleasure's all mine." With the introductions now complete, he released her hand and glanced around for their last teammate. He turned his attention back to the girl as she spoke again, enquiring about how to play volleyball. "Hm..." he mused, wondering how to explain. "I've played volleyball a few times, but never like this, with only three people on a team. But I suppose the basics can't be too different, right? The main purpose of the game is to get the ball over the net onto the other team's side so that they can't send it back over or stop it from hitting the court. Every time you put the ball into play, it has to be served from one side of the court to the other." He paused, rubbing at the back of his neck sheepishly. "Argh, I'm not all too sure how to describe it. It'll probably be better to wait for the teachers to explain. After all, I doubt that you're the only one who hasn't played before, and it would be remiss of them to not say anything."

His failed attempt to explain now complete, Lugh went back to his search for their other teammate, feeling a bit embarrassed at his floundering. He was soon distracted from his thoughts as he caught a whiff of a faint alcoholic scent, perhaps whiskey or something similar. He turned, tracing the smell of alcohol back to a tall, horned boy stretching nearby and, for some reason, lacking a shirt. Not something he'd ever expected to see, but then again, there were a variety of... unusual things he'd seen today. Even so, why did he- y'know what, never mind. Lugh sighed and gave up on thinking. It just wasn't worth it.

"Do you think he's on our team?" He asked Cordelia, motioning towards the horned boy. "Isroh, I think it was?"

Fuka laughed as she was hit with a barrage of questions about volleyball, making sure to grab a jersey for Edith since they were on the same team. "It's not a fight" she said through the laughter "it's a game. Two teams compete to get points but I won't go into rules, I'm sure the teachers will have something prepared"

Turning back to the girl when they were at the court, she passed her the jersey "this is so we can keep track of teams" she said as she gave it over. Still sensing that the girl was frazzled her smile became more sympathetic "and don't worry, there's not just humans here if that's making you nervous" she paused for a moment and sighed slightly "if anyone bothers you, just let me know, okay?" She said tilting her head to the side a little.

Feeling a little embarrassed, she looked back to the crowd to see if she could spot anyone else in a green jersey "I wonder when our third will get here? Chouko, was it?" She asked.

Rowan Carter

Rowan let out a tiny squeak, seeing the girl that got tripped over in the hallway. She jumped excitedly, waving back as the girl ran to go find her team. Turning, she seemed to brighten—if that was possible, considering how cheery she already was—when she found out the young man's name. "It's great to meet you Luxu! I'm Rowan!" The girl seemed somewhat oblivious to the white-haired student's less than pleased demeanor at first, instead giggling at his over-dramatic determination. "Have you ever played Volleyball before?" She looked over the court, taking a moment to give a friendly wave and thumbs up to what would be their opponents, laughing when she saw Cordelia.

After a tiny giggle, she looked back at Luxu. "Since you're so eager, feel free to play forward! But in that position, you have to be okay with setting it up for one of us to hit it over. Is that cool with you?" She innocently tilted her head with wide eyes, genuinely wondering if he would be okay with it, and considering suggesting he play in the middle. "I played all the time with family so I think I'm pretty good all around... but I'm better at serving, rather than having to ya ether strength required for hitting the ball into the net when it's farther into play." She spoke just a little quickly, most likely from the excitement of getting to play an active game on the first night, that, and the full moon that shone upon them lit a fire within her. "Either way, I'm good to wait and see what our other teammate prefers."

James Sanderson
  • Main Courtyard, on the sidelines.

As James walked slowly behind the bleachers, he felt a sigh of relief wash upon him. He must've been late, because many students had already taken to the courts, and a good portion of the remainder were trying to find good seats on the bleachers. It was the perfect opportunity to get some food and then leave. After all... he wouldn't be lying if he said that he had attended the event, therefore completing the Principal's request.
Either way, the punch looked delicious, and he wasn't going to wait much longer to get himself a cup or two of it. He had plenty of time, anyway. The matches hadn't even begun yet.

"Chouko. Mmm that doesn't sound right, did you make that up? I think you made that name up. It sounds too weird and doesn't seem to fit any names I've heard. But now that I think on it who names their child Ace? Ace is a term referring to someone being skilled, not a name. Shiyam is an odd name as well? Ahh you mortals have such weird names!" Edith complained with how different her names were as she casually put the shirt on over her robes and quickly realized it didn't feel right. "Wait do we have to change completely into these? They feel uncomfortable and look impractical. Do we really have to wear these?" She asked feeling the jersey, already the alien piece of clothing was irritating her in it's own design and material. And the impracticality upset her as well. How would this help in any possible injuries should someone be hurt?

Ace grinned , going straight to the point.
“So what’s up with the armor? Kinda weird wearing a full suit when it’s just school. Unless your that afraid of pain?” She chuckled , observing now that she was closer. She poked the Shiyam’s chest armor piece multiple times.

“It’s nice. But sooooo bothering. I don’t know bout you but I think a full body of armor is a bit extra. Well, not saying that I ain’t extra.” She turned around, looking at the mess that she caused running on the tables and whatever. It’s just her thang.

Shiyam Rosa
Shiyam just blinked twice at what Ace was saying. It was how she defined herself, she wasn't afraid of pain nor was she willing to walk into a mess willingly.
"Its how I define myself. I've worn this for many years, its become likened to a second skin. I can move quite agilely with it on, but I don't see the harm of taking it off now and then. Only when I need to take bathe, change clothes, or when to sleep."
She said, shrugging her shoulders at the end.
"Everyone can see it as they will. I am who I am, and I will not change that."

Eugene began to head towards the court. putting his trumpet in his briefcase. He then walked towards his team and still wearing his normal clothing. took off his blazer and waited for the others. not realising that the first day of school was going to be a volleyball tournament. He then waited for everything to start. not really talking to everyone as he just waited for what appears to be the start of the game. He then wondered if these people had different powers. What powers would they even have. this would be a good chance to see what powers other people would have.

“A second skin huh? What if you lost your armor? Would you still be yourself then?” She laughed the question off. Although it would be interesting for a answer. Ah , wasn’t there three members on her team?
“Hey you know where our third guy is?” She tried jumping over the crowd , but her height was a little shorter than the average human. “Wait here real quick.” She ran off , and jumped on the table. A lot of students came , more than expected. This game was sure to be fun. Her power wouldn’t exactly do anything except maybe the ball would hit harder if she did hit anybody.
Looking around , she spotted a guy in the corner not really socializing. She shrugged , then ran through the crowds to meet him.
“Hey dawg , what’s your name?” Ace held out her hand, flashing her toothy grin.

  • The bumpy ride from her auntie's house to her new dwelling was long but exciting. When the letter arrived, her parents were so happy for her. By the looks of things, Osiria had a good enough reputation. Although, her parents couldn't take her themselves. She took the first plane from her city to her Aunt Carol's house and then to Osiria. By the time they arrived, her aunt was tired of all the talking. They hugged and Clover pulled her suitcase from the boot, Whilst pulling her baggy jumper over her head to hide her extra arms. It was already very close to/basically night time.. Her plane was delayed and she had missed the Orientation.

She dragged her suitcase quickly as she jogged in through the school gates. She had no map or anything but the signs helped. Making her way into the office she picked up her Dorm Key, Map, Pamphlet and what seemed to be a uniform. 'Something to wear tomorrow.' She unfolds her map as she follows it to the dorms. On her way there she could hear many voices from nearby, and by the looks of the almost empty halls, most people were down there.

Samael sits in the back of the fully metal truck with a metal collar around his neck with a glowing red circle in the middle of it blinking. His wings having to be slightly folded due to the height of the roof. The crow like wings keep trying to span outwards but are contained by the walls due to the sheer size of them. Whilst driving along the bumpy road it knocks Samael up and he smacks his head against the back of the door. Letting of a demonic growl and then the collar zaps him, paralysing him for a few seconds. Getting back up he feels the truck stop and the people in the back start unlocking the truck doors hinge by hinge. Finally opening the door the light starts leaking in shining through the creek in the doors seeing the brightness of the moon staring down at him. Getting up as he stands above the guards making his way out of the truck with a thud onto the ground.

Stretching his wings he takes in a deep breath of fresh air seeing as he has been breathing fumes from the truck for quite a while, slowing walking around to the front of the truck he makes his way onto the pathway. The driver kicks open the passenger side door and kicks a suitcase out towards Samael along with a letter reminding him of his contract that he signed to come here. Picking the suit case up he walks to what seems to be the front gates and to his knowledge a fish person out the front of the gate seeming to not want to go in. He brushes past him with the rattle of his collar and stands in front of the gate and glares at then pans his head upwards towards the moon. In a single motion Samael's wings extend in a swift motion darts quickly up in the sky blasting the dust up into the air and hovers high up in the sky peering over the entirety of the school before seeing a game being played in the school ground and slowly hovers in the sky taking in the night sky and fresh air as he lands on top of the dorm rooms as he watches over the people playing the game below.

  • Making it to her room, she opened the door and put her keys into her pockets. She was kinda forgetful and her pockets were always the safest place for things. Dropping her suitcase at the end of the unused bed, She decided she would unpack later... and choose her electives later. For now, settling in and exploring the place were more important. Tightening her sleeves and tucking her lower arms away, she would leave her dorm and head down the hallway. She was feeling hungry but she was also curious to what was going on outside. ' Probably better to make some friends first and invite them to eat.' She decides as she makes her way towards the noise.

Everyone was pretty entertained down at the Volley Ball courts by the looks of things, and they were also having a BBQ by the looks of things! There were two teams on the court and many people sitting on and around the bleachers. She grabs herself a hot dog or two and looks around for a place to sit and watch. The place was packed, and most of the bleachers were taken. She decided sitting at the edge of the court away from the bleachers would be best. She ate as she watched the court.

Samael looking out towards the moon fins himself being drawn to the light down below and smelling meat being cooked on the BBQ. Adjusting his wings and holding on tight to his suitcase he slowly descends to the ground making sure not to land on anyone. He peers around seeing many people gathering around the game. Seeing the people he takes in a deep breath and walks towards the BBQ looking for some food as he has been starved for quite some time. Walking over he see's a line and makes his way to it seeing that its for the grill and waits to get something to eat. In front of him is a girl wearing a hoodie. Watching the girl in front pick up a hot dog off of the grill.

Getting to Samael he leans forward slightly smelling the meat cooking seeing a decently sized piece of steak charring in the back. Reaching over and picking it up with his bare hands he starts chewing into it like a starved wolf. Finishing that piece he grabs another and another until he has eaten three pieces of steak and licks his lips clean whilst reaching in and picking the stuck meat from his sharpened teeth. Glancing over he notices a boy in front of a bowl of liquid and Samael feeling dehydrated leans over the boy grabbing a cup and scooping up some of the liquid into it immediately downing the whole glass quickly grabbing a second. Looking around he sees the game only a few metres away and decides that it might be nice to watch it for a little bit to take his mind off of the environment around him. Samael finds a seat towards the back and sits watching from a distance but still being able to see the whole court.

Luxu was keen on ignoring the blabbering from his teammate. But it became too overwhelming that he finally decided to take matters into his own hands... Picking her up by her flesh and hair covered cranium with his hand, he walked her over to one side of the court and plopped her down there. "You will stay here." Adjusting his sunglasses, Luxu turned his back to Rowan. "I've played before, do not worry about my position, I can handle it. I will ensure you are used at 100% of your abilities for the team. Although it seems like our teammate is not here. I will speak to the Principal about this situation, and acquire us a new student.....Do not follow me."

Luxu walked off the court, making his way towards the stand that the Principal was currently setting up a chair and table for himself with the microphone.

"Principal Valdez, it seems as if our teammate is a no-show. I need another one so we can continue this tournament." Luxu crossed his arms.

Principal Valdez on the other hand, knew someone would come to him about missing team-members. It seemed as if the students that were meant to be on the teams were indeed no-shows. He was prepared for a situation like this, and stood up to meet Luxu with his question.
"Yes! Yes! I see you are Luxu, it is a pleasure to meet you finally ahaha, but yes, I will make sure to find you new teammates. There recently has been some newcomers that were a little late to orientation but seemed to have gotten their way in just fine. Would you like to look over the list and perhaps, choose one of your own? There are some people who are just watching from the stands, it would be nice to include them too!"

Luxu raised an eyebrow, but he passed the kindness of Mr. Valdez off as natural...Luxu wasn't always up for happy people being around him. But the option to choose his own teammate interested him greatly. He began to look over the list for any potential allies to his team.
