Idea Annoying.

Can people stop only playing females? It's a little ridiculous. Branch out sometime. Geez.

We do branch out. Even those of us who only play females. For instance, some 95% of my characters are females, but distinct females (number drops to like 88% or so if you don't count genderbends as female too) in various other aspects of the characters.

Bun Bun Your social status on this site is determined by the number of anime girls you have for faceclaims, so don't expect things to change any time soon.

But if it makes you feel better, I only play males.

I get that it can be annoying to have a disproportionately female cast (especially when they're all young, conventionally attractive white women who basically look the same), but from personal experience it isn't hard to find people who are willing to, or actively prefer to play other kinds of characters.

I get where you're coming from. I personally like to play females and males because well it's fun!

I tend to play both, steering mainly towards females on some occasions.

With that being said, I know I for one only play both due to wanting to experience a world through both sides. As a male, I can sort of predict the outcome of some of the actions I would have my character do. RPing as a female though is more interesting for me though. It's a fresh experience seeing as how I don't live my everyday life as one. As for those who are obviously annoying you, that sucks. Some people like to go with what they're most accustomed to.

EDIT: It also helps me become a better writer for personal projects.

As a girl with twice as many male original characters as female ones, this post makes me want nothing more than to add some more female characters to my roster.

though i can understand the frustration in that sometimes, i'd much rather people just play what they connect to most. it's a lot worse to have someone with a preference in females to dedicate wholly to that instead of having them play a male that... quite frankly, sucks. there are people on here that write as both genders or are willing to double with you, you've just got to openly request them in most cases~.

to combat some of the obvious salt on here, i totally understand where you're coming from. i am constantly accommodating users on this site and because of that, i'm playing only males. the (f) only ratio is substantially higher. lmaaao

Hey no hate to anyone, I have a big mouth and was only pissy after skimming thru 15000 female only searches 🤣
I kind of meant that I had the same problem just the opposite gender. I tend to play characters that are all very similar 😂

Uh from my experience these more males or at least the same amount being played in group RPs? But anyways, people will play what they want and if you're not looking for that maybe just skip those thread? Lol.

Given their earlier statements about interest checks, I surmize they were referring to 1x1s

As someone with a vagina, I hate role playing female characters. All my OC are males and over the many years of role playing (15+ years), I’ve only ever had two female OCs. Even though I’m a chick I think we’re all whiny bitches hahah

Very true, I am the whiniest.

Idc if someone wants to play female but if that’s ALL theyre able to play it kinda creeps me out. Like they’re just looking for someone to fulfill their weird fantasies and be their boyfriend and I ain’t here for that. 🤣

It kinda sucks because I'm generally not interested in role-playing romance, but most of my characters tend to be female like me, so there's always that assumption x___x

It’s totally dependent on what you’re looking for. In a cast of superpowered adventure heroes even if everyone’s cool with romantic subplots it tends to skew male, In my experience. Take into account that majority of players drop there is no balancing. I made Male characters to “balance” in one of my current rps only for a buncha those gals to drop. (I’m fine with either but I’m more used to male as my last rp site was like 90% females and I’d be one of the counterbalances)

At one point you gotta realize that people are gonna play what they like. If it doesn’t interest you then maybe branch off into different genres or types (ie 1x1 or Group) nothing wrong with trying something new. You might like it? Hell I did my first guy chara for shits and giggles he was basically a snarky asshole there to laugh at the girls thinking that a guy character meant an Automatic romance since his only interest was in his classmate who was his mentor figure. Now I play guy charas like 80% of the time.

I play guys most of the time because of the balance thing. I get frustrated when I'm running a group and there doesn't look like there's gonna be balance, so sometimes I take measures into my own hands, but I generally like playing guys.

Although, there is a little part of me that keeps hoping I'll enter a group and actually get to do a female...

But that's a dream I've given up on

Just to jump in since my last post was irrelevant: I tend to play guys most of the time but they tend to end up getting genderbended fairly often.
