Fandom Gundam Build Fighters:NEXT

Illya nodded as the AR field materialized. This time instead of the Sky, it was field 1- Space.
"Looks like you will not be as restrained this time like before." Illya said smiling with a hint of hostility. "Illya " The Berserker", Extreme Sword Gundam! Here I go!" The Ex S Gundam launched into the sky.

Elizabeth would watch from the doors, still unnoticed by everyone. In her left hand was a touch screen device the size of an IPhone, the screen reading "Field Modification On. Field set to Space". 'I was planning on using this when I fought Illya again, but this is more worth it.' She thought.

“Hibiki,Novus,Launch.”

The IBO-custom Gundam found itself being sent into the starry void,where it stopped on top of one of the asteroids.

“Fear of my Gunpla breaking she says......I guess that's true indeed.”

Novus' thrusters flared up,sending the Gundam accelerating towards Ex S in a speed that would had other previous challengers pissing in their pants.

“Then this time I'll just ignore what's stopping me then....!”

2 Sword bits detached from Novus' shoulders and orbited the Gundam as it confronted the Berserker's Gundam.

The Ex S Gundam tossed aside its GN Sword and drew both its flash edges, which flashed on before throwing them at the Sword Bits, slicing through the blades most likely. 'If this Gundam is anything like the ones from IBO, this will most likely have a Resistance to beam weapons.' Illya thought.

An interface showed up beside Illya,Hibiki being the one contacting her.

“You're right about that. "Nano-Laminated Armour", is what makes IBO Line Up Gunplas resistant against ranged beam shots for several hit.”

Opening her eyes,Hibiki no longer had the same deadpan expression she usually wears every time. Instead,she looks serious.

“Not that it'll help much,knowing you,the Berserker is my opponent.”

The 2 Sword Bits that were previously sliced by the Flashedges has exploded,hiding Novus for a brief while before it was sighted from behind Ex S.

“I guess its time to see if the "Echo Demon" accepts me....!”

She quickly equipped the main curved sword and swiftly strikes Ex S. It doesn't matter if Ex S managed to block it,she'll make sure she doesn't let the Berserker leave the match disappointed.

The Ex S Gundam turned and brought its shield up, catching the blade before it hits. The Ex S Gundam jetted back as Illya assessed the sudden change in her opponents behavior. 'She seems to have taken my advice.' The screen showed the shield attachment was damaged by 30%, shown by the crack in the center. 'Interesting.'

Illya smirked, her eyes taking on the Amber color, as she then said, "Lets do this!" The Ex S Gundam threw its shield away as it drew its two beam sabers. The rail guns unfolded, firing solid bullets at the Novus Gundam before retracting, and the Ex S Gundam jetted towards the Novus Gundam.

In response to the solid rounds speeding towards Novus,Hibiki had her Gundam kick an asteroid towards,before darting upward and downwards towards Ex S,its sword going for a thrust.



“Mou....why do we have to do our homework and not watch Hibiki's battle?”

“Hibiki and Inazuma had finished their homework as usual during lunch break,both of you finishing your homeworks before returning home means you'll have plenty of free time to do whatever you want back home too.”

“But I really wanna watch Hibiki fight Illya....”

Ikazuchi pouted in response to having to finish her homework while waiting for her sister's rematch to end. Inazuma was helping Akatsuki with the latter's assignment,while Jing,as usual,is the one making sure Ikazuchi understands what she's learnt.

“Plus,I plan to take the 4 of you out to the shopping mall for the day.”

“Huh? Really? Why?”

In this rare instance,Jing smiled brightly as if he was bearing some good news,which he is.

“Your parents are coming home today.”



Back in the battle,both the Ex S and Novus were equally heavily damaged. Novus had lost its left shoulder armour,a quarter of the head was decimated,and inner frames of the Gundam could be seen. In between each tired panting,Hibiki spoke.

“I'm honestly surprised....that I actually managed to get this far.....your advise really helped after all...”

The Ex S Gundam had its left rail Gun ripped off, its V fin broken on the right, and Sword pack missing. It was holding its two Anti-Ship Swords, as Illya was also feeling exhausted.

"It wasn't my advice that helped. You yourself did all of that. You just needed a push towards the right direction." Illya then smirked. "But now that you are fighting me without worries, I have to say this fight is the same as when I fought your brother. This will definitely by worth it!"

The Ex S Gundam started glowing, before changing to V-Mode. The golden light eminating from the Ex S gave off a burning aura of fighting spirit.

"Now lets do this!"

“"Brother"?” Hibiki was confused at hearing what Illya had called Jing,but quickly shrugged it off as Ex S initiated V-mode.

“Never mind,I guess I'll ask about that later once this match finishes.”

Novus' eyes flashed red,a trail of devilish aura seen emitting from the outer corner of each eye.

“Let's end this fight quickly....Novus!”

The Ex S jetted towards the Novus Gundam, swinging its left Anti-Ship sword at the Novus Gundam's head.

However,that attack that would've hit Novus (especially due to the speed of the slash) was instead swiftly dodged. Hibiki's Gundam was moving pretty quick. Not Trans Am-levels or V-Mode-levels of quick,but still swift nonetheless. Perhaps it is the similar "Unchained" mode that Barbatos displayed in its home series.

Illya's eyes widened slightly at the Novus Gundam's increase of speed. She smiled, before a beam shot was sent straight through the Ex S Gundam's chest, causing it to explode. Illya was shocked as a familiar voice laughed. "I finally defeated the Berserker! Ha ha ha!"

Elizabeth looked at the intruder who defeated Illya's gunpla. Zakuro was smiling evily, not sorry for what happened. Her Reginlaze Drakon was on the far side of the battlefield holding a large beam cannon with both its hands in a sniping position.

Illya looked at Zakuro, infuriated and with sadness in her eyes. "You should not have interfered!" "Oh please, this was my shot at winning for the first time against you! And now," Zakuro said as the Reginlaze aimed its cannon at the Novus. "To take down the other fighter so I won't look bad!"

“Oi...”

Hibiki's voice lowered to that of a subtly tranquil growl,raising her head and glaring at where Reginlaze Dragon is positioned. Her once ocean blue coloured eyes turned blood red.

“The hell do you think you are....firing in like that....?”

As if it is also really pissed at the sudden interruption,Novus' eyes flared up,the visible half of its faceplate seemingly sliding open like it is the mouth of the Gundam. The Gundam then dashed towards Zakuro's Gunpla,clearly filled with the intent to destroy.

The Reginlaze fired its Beam cannon at the Novus, but the Beam fired split and redirected to everywhere behind the Novus Gundam. Zakuro's eyes widened. "No way!" The Reginlaze threw its cannon to the side as it activated its swords, the Novus suddenly directly in close range before the Reginlaze could even activate its swords.

Elizabeth would look at the Novus Gundam's sudden change in facial appearance, intrigued.

“Have this as my word of thanks for the help.”

Novus thrusted its sword from the top of the Reginlaze Drakon's head down through its body after Hibiki had sarcastically responded to the intruder of the match.

Elizabeth felt someone walk past her into the Gunpla Battle room,where she heard a hasty "sorry" from the man rushing in:Jing.

“Hibiki,that's enough.”

Before Novus could rip the Reginlaze Drakon into pieces,Hibiki had stopped in the middle of having her Gundam hold its sword in a different position,her blood red eyes turning back to its usual tranquil ocean blue colour as her expression softened.

“Your Gundam's damaged greatly,don't let Novus and yourself suffer anymore damage than this.”

Novus' faceplate closed back,its eyes returning back to its original colour as it pulled its sword out surprisingly gently. The Gunpla Battle base deactivated,the Novus landing onto Hibiki's palm. Looking at her deactivated Gundam,she felt someone give her a headpat from behind.

“....I'm sorry.....”

“It's alright,you didn't do it this time.”

The young girl turned around and hugged her caretaker,some tears visible for a split second as she quietly sobbed. Jing hugged back and looked at Illyasviel,where she could see his concern for her well being.

“Are you okay?”

Illya sighed. "The fight before if was interrupted was impressive, but just now, when her gunpla suddenly changed its appearance....... It somehow felt scary." Illya shook her head. "No, it wasn't scary. It was more if anything familiar somehow."

Illya looked at Hibiki and said, "You earned your spot on the team. Welcome aboard."

Elizabeth turned around and started walking away. Her mind was on the Novus's sudden change in appearance and Battle Technique. "That Gundam was not like anything I have seen before. It looks like things will get interesting."

Jing frowned in response to what Illya had said about Novus' much demonic look. It was as if it was something he doesn't exactly want other people to know the real reason for its implementation. However,it turned into a gentle smile upon hearing that Hibiki is now allowed into the GBWT Team,where he looked down at the white haired girl still embracing him.

“Congratulations,Hibiki,you earned it.”

Wiping a tear from her left eye,she nodded and gave a smile in return.

“Y-yeah,and its all thanks to you and Illyasviel.”

“It seems you have something exciting to tell to your parents when they come back tonight.”

Silence met the 2 of them,which slowly broke as Hibiki's eyes widened in shock,her mind processing what her caretaker had just said.

“Mom and Dad are...?”

“I kid you not,I also told your sisters,who are just as happy upon hearing.”

There,the young girl smiled,perhaps even brighter for the first time as her happiness swelled up for the first time. However,it quickly deflated when she realised one thing:

“.....What will happen to you then?”

Jing's smile disappeared in an instance,replaced with a sad expression as he knew what he had to tell her.

“....This will very likely be the last time we're living together under the same roof. I can't trouble your parents any further as a guest staying in their apartment room.”

Illya could see the once enlightened Hibiki now look down in sadness. Judging by their interaction,it is clear that despite them not being blood-related,they were really close.

“But don't worry,I'll come to visit everyday if I can. After all,Ikazuchi's still going to need several hours of tutoring.”

Hibiki giggled at the last statement,understanding how everyone in the family had a lot of trouble teaching her energetic sister. She looked at Hisashi with a hopeful smile.

“Promise me you will.”

“Yeah,promise.”

They raised their pinkies,doing the classic "pinky promise" as they both smiled at each other.

Illya smiled, before saying, "I'm heading back to my mansion. I will see you tomorrow I take it?" Illya asked Hibiki before turning and walking towards the exit. Illya noticed another person, Elizabeth, walking out as well, but she would stop at the entrance to the school yard with her back towards Illya.

"You recruited an interesting person, I can tell you that." Elizabeth said. Illya stopped walking, now next to the other girl and looked on ahead. Illya responded to her statement with a question. "Why are you here? I never see you around." Elizabeth smiled. "I have connections with the principal here."

Elizabeth then gave a serious stare. "But that isn't the reason I am here. I'm here to make sure you have a team of three before the deadline next Wednesday." Illya looked back towards Elizabeth, and smiled. "You sure do care about my well being." "That wasn't me caring. That was me saying that I won't accept you being out of the tournament. Besides, I'm going to the tournament as well. I'm partnering with " The Crimson Meteor"."

"You don't mean......"
Elizabeth nodded. Illya thought about the news in the back of her head. 'Itsuka Kotori. I remember her stage name when I faced her in the semi finals.' An image of an Gundam who's appearance was blackened to conceal its true identity, along with an 78% damaged Sword Impulse Gundam, the original form of Illya's Extreme Sword Gundam, kneeling in almost defeat.

'If it wasn't for me going 'Berserk' at that time, I would have lost. But her machine destroyed a major portion of my Impulse Gundam.' Illya shook the incident out of her mind. She needs to focus on the here and now. Not the past.

"So, did you get a third partner yet?" Illya asked. Elizabeth smiled. "We have a possibility for one." As she said this, she looked over towards Jing and the others who were heading to the gate as well.

"So you are aiming to recruit a newtype?" Illya asked. "It's a highly probable theory." Elizabeth said. Illya began walking off, saying, "I wish you luck then. I will find our school's third fighter before Wednesday."

Walking towards the gate with the 4 sisters,Jing stopped a for a while to look at Elizabeth.

“You're that girl from in front of the doors to the Gunpla Battle room earlier. Are you waiting for someone?”

Elizabeth turned around to look at Jing. "I was actually. I heard you defeated Illya, correct?"

Itsuka.....you better not have spreaded the word to anyone else.....

“It wasn't really something I've expected,really. I had no idea how it was my win when I was making sure I countering most of her attacks.”

Elizabeth smiled, and said, "We both know that isn't true. I know you are a newtype." Elizabeth stays silent for a bit to let that information sink in.

“Wha- Even the "Incarnation of the Devil" too?”

Sighing as if he's heard someone called him that countless times before,Jing looked at Elizabeth.

“I'm pretty sure that if I was indeed a Newtype,I wouldn't have been using Destiny of all Gundams. Plus my telepathic-related abilities usually happens if I'm using 00 Q-”

Immediately stopping,his eyes widening like he just let slip a closely guarded secret,he hastily walked off,uttering "I shouldn't have mention that..." repeatedly while the sisters quickly followed him.

Elizabeth watched Jing walk off with the sisters, She herself would say, "Just letting you know, Itsuka is looking for a third team member for the tournament. You know where to find her if you are in."

(2 hours later)
Illya sat in her room, drawing in the sketch book some more. Her mind however was on something else. 'If Itsuka Kotori is also in the tournament and is partnering with Elizabeth, I may have trouble. I need to find our third team member, and fast.' Illya looked at her drawing. It's appearance was mostly like the 00 Raiser, with the twin Rail Guns of the Strike Freedom and two elongated Beam Sabers on the waist. It also had the two Anti-Ship swords and a back unit of some sort.

'I finished the concept for it. I just need to get the parts now. Perhaps I can go to Iori's Models tomorrow after school.'

In another part of town, in a one room apartment, a boy sat on his bed, looking at his touch phone. He was reading an email from the school Illya and others go to.

Hiro Mitsusada,
We wish to inform you that you have been accepted back to our classrooms. You may come back tomorrow.


- Tokyo Public School.

Hiro smiled. He was finally able to redo the year be failed in, as well as being able to see the person he really admired in Gunpla Battle.

Hearing Elizabeth spoke,he stopped in his tracks,barely looking back in silence.

“Understood. I'll think about it.”

He then left,thinking about the aforementioned team Elizabeth had told him about.

"Third Member"? Itsuka's found another member it seems.....but....could I really be in sync with her and the other teammate....?
