Amethyst

To her absolute surprise she heard the doors of the car open. At first she felt her heart sink and she quickly tried to curl up and away from the noise. However, after a moment she felt something being draped over her. Surprised entirely she slowly started to relax before she even got something to rest her head on. Letting her legs stretch out some more it was obvious the young woman was comfortable at last. "Thank you." She said with obvious caution and surprise in her voice. Feeling the blood on her lip being wiped away she began to feel surprisingly awkward. The feeling of helplessness made her stomach turn. After a moment she felt her body relax more. Exhausted she curled up abit more before quickly falling into a light sleep.

“A whole nest?” Chester asked, sounding surprised. “I always thought stories of ‘vegetarian’ Vampires was wishful thinking or cut tragically short by other predators.”
He chuckled a little before taking another sip of his dairy product.
“I’m impressed. This whole compound is proving more interesting than I had thought it would be.”
He considered a moment before speaking again, sounding a little more thoughtful.
“Empathy is a strange trait. It gets in the way a lot, but it would have certain saved me some trouble earlier. If I had...”
Chester cut himself off, his expression briefly becoming an unreadable mix of emotions. He shook himself, then smiled up at the two ladies.
“Anyway, useful tool, though costly.” He finished as if nothing had happened.

Tara smiles. “Franklin’s made it work. He has a whole network of blood donors, and he takes their health very seriously. He’s been feeding Gin since she got here.” Ginny smiles. “Much better on my conscience than stealing blood from people on the street.” She says with a weak chuckle. “I’ve still got full empathy functions, so this is nice for me.” Neither of them comment on his statement. If he doesn’t want to talk about whatever it is, they won’t pry. Though their little group is growing in a very interesting fashion.

Christopher looked up from his phone and through the gap the metal door had left to the Alpha Kitsune where he still stood. He frowned deeply at the unmoving creature. He waited, in silence, for several long moment before he spoke. "Listen dude, I'm not a doorman and this isn't a hotel. In or out, pick one." He turned back to his phone to type another message to the Council: Hold up on that, we're having some decision making problems here.

Brendan nodded, to himself, once more considering Will and Mackenzie's request. "I'll have to look into the armory; I don't doubt we have an iron cell available but bronze is another issue," He couldn't keep his eyes from the sullen teenager presumably napping in the back of the car. He had plenty of experience with hunting over his many years, but it was always difficult to bring his head around to the fact that anyone could be an enemy. "Give me an hour and -"

"Bring her over to our encampment," Brimely cut in curtly, speaking mostly to Elijah as he'd been the only one among the hunter to actually acknowledge her presence. "We have the adequate equipment to house your subject for the time being." She paused, pursing her lips. "I presume you believe her to be a god or demi-god with ties to the demonic caste?" She caught the surprised look from the Prophet and the Nephilim. "This is what we do, darlings, assess and contain."

Mackenzie watched Brimely closely for several long moments before nodding. "Good enough," She turned towards Elijah, hand extended for the keys.

Emile smiled, content that Chase had saw fit to his offer of the couch beside him. It was a comfort to have him close after a very long day. He leaned his head back to rest against Chase's arm and closed his eyes, listening to -and understanding fully- as he explained what his delay had been. Emile knew he couldn't expect Chase to constantly be at his side or with the pack, no matter how much he want it to be so, Chase was a hunter and considered himself human first over wolf. He never wanted the younger man to change; it was his very different point of view of the world that had attracted him to Chase to begin with.

He grunted acknowledgement of the unspoken part of what the younger wolf had left out: uncertainty the colony could handle what they had just been delivered. He refrained from using it as another excuse to keeping those who would stay behind tomorrow out in the woods using his warding as protection. He had already agreed to move into Vitae and bringing it up now would only start a fight he didn't want to have. Besides, he mused, they could always leave, right? He didn't open his eyes as he spoke next. "So will you hunt, then?" He attempted to keep any inflection out of his voice. "Like you did before with Vitae? Go out on their missions when they ask?"

The subject Emile opted to go with left Chase mildly surprised. From the different events of the earlier conversation of the night alongside Will and Manitou he didn't know what to expect. This wasn't the first time the subject of Chase hunting had come up, which led him to believe the Alpha wasn't thrilled about it. "Yeah," the world simple but mildly adamant, with the man beside him in his peripheral's before letting his own head fall back against the back of the couch and staring up at the dimly lit ceiling. He was glad to have Manitou's gift, so that they could speak with a better understanding. "That gonna bother you?" He asked softly, not bothered by the question. It was clear the man had a reason for asking, whether it was simple worry or something more he couldn't deduce. Obviously Emile was a werewolf with a pack to think about, and he was sure they'd had their plenty share of being hunted themselves. Chase got the feeling that gave his boyfriend some reservations on the matter.

"Do not condescend to me, child of Adam, lest I take my rage out on you. " The Alpha hissed at the man, he turned and sneered at the smell coming from inside the camp. He could smell the power that the thunder god had regained, and if he could smell it then the god knew he was there as well. "It would seem your pet God is back to his full strength. Good, I have not forgotten the debts I must settle with him." He made his way past the metal door into the camp, doing his best to keep a composed facade about him, but he wasn't who he used to be. The anger and primal instinct all but threatened to overtake his common sense. Da Ji had died because she had helped them against his brother. She had died because their allies had tortured his kin and turned some against him. She died because he couldn't save her.

The last truth burned him inside and fed his rage like none other. It burned him inside that the one promise he held above all others he couldn't keep... so he might as well break another. The Alpha kitsune made his way to where the Council would most likely be meeting with the dark thoughts swimming through his head.

William 2.jpg Elijah 4.jpg

William and Elijah both turned to stare at Brimley as she volunteered her services in containing the mysterious girl without hesitation. Will arched an eyebrow, turning to look toward Eli -- content to defer to his judgement on the matter. Eli remained still, glaring at his former associate. His eyes flicked over to Mac, seeing the small woman nod. He was somewhat surprised, though he couldn't help but wonder if Mac was simply agreeing with Brimley as a way of getting Amethyst out of sight and out of mind so they could all focus on issues she deemed more important.

Letting out a small sigh, Elijah relented and tossed the keys to Brimley. "Don't fuck this up, Evie. We're not in London anymore," he warned coolly, glancing down to see that Amethyst had dozed off at some point during the conversation. Reluctantly, he stepped aside.

rsz_adelaide_4.jpg

Adelaide's eyes fluttered closed as Thor's fingers made contact with her skin and she felt that familiar surge of warmth and electricity: intense, albeit not unpleasant. She opened them a moment later, giving the deity a grateful nod. The psychic chuckled slightly at his final remark, shaking her head as she raised a hand to place it on his shoulder with a gentle squeeze. "Let's try not to make a habit of that, okay?" she said with a somber smile, glancing at the hammer clutched in the Norseman's hand -- like a part of his body and soul returned to him. "I'm glad you're back."

Brendan frowned at the agreement hastily made but his cellphone continued to buzz in a series of messages from Christopher he couldn't ignore. Cursing inwardly he looked over the four before speaking quickly. "Figure this out and let me know." He glanced to Will, knowing he was the only one that was truthfully on the council and responsible for keeping the rest of them updated. "I need to go meet Inari: he seems to have returned." He turned, with frustration, and stalked back towards the main entry of the colony where he suspected the Kitsune would be.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow at Elijah's commentary, she took the keys from her former associate. "No, darling, you are correct we are not in London any longer." She smiled, brightly, her head held high. "Thankfully I've brought London to you and yours for the betterment of all." She gasped, surprised when the keys were snatched from her hands by the Prophet.

Mackenzie turned to glower at Eli for turning over the key to her car, her baby to the random woman. She turned to face Will, the man oddly silent but she nodded to the girl in the back. "You sit with her, I'll drive. Let's leave these two to catch up." She knew very well Elijah would likely be angry at the suggestion but he deserved it after trying to give over the Beast to a stranger.

Emile sighed heavily hearing the question. He shifted onto his side, choosing stretch a leg over Chase's, he reached an arm over his boyfriends chest. He shifted, to bring his head to rest on Chase's shoulder, his lips just centimeters from his neck. "That question is a trap." He spoke softly, letting the pad of his thumb trace along Chase's shirt. "If I tell you no, we both know I'd be lying." His fingers played at seams of his shirt. "So yes, it will bother me." He continued quietly. "But that's something I have to deal with and come to terms with. I'll just have to find some way to occupy my mind when you're away. I'll take up knitting or something." He chuckled softly. "I do have something serious to ask though," he leaned back enough to look at Chase, even in the dim light. "When you do go hunting, don't go alone. I won't make you take someone from the pack: that'll just put you both in danger, but I ask that you take someone you can trust with you. Then I now you're not alone, out there."

As the pair started shifting into a more comfortable and intimate position on the couch, Chase made sure to adjust his own body's position slightly. Lowering his right arm to gingerly run his finger tips up and down Emile's upper back on repeat. Sighing softly at the mans insinuation that his question was a trap Chase followed with a mild frown, "It's not." He'd interrupted but let the man continue. But the answer hadn't been too surprising, he'd smirked at the knitting comment while an image flashed in his mind. Though he'd met Emile's eyes when the man started speaking on the subject of having someone with him during hunts. That was easier said than done he guessed. Ashley was pregnant so she was always out. Will, Elijah, and Mackenzie were all up in Vitae's council now and likely wouldn't be free to go off on hunts all the time. Other than that the options were extremely few in number, sure there were other hunters but Chase met very few in his time at the colony. Not to mention one of the few he had met had ended up murdering his father in cold blood. So he wasn't exactly going to jump at the chance to hunt alongside a stranger that knew he was a Werewolf. "I'll try and partner up with someone when I can but I can't promise you I won't have the occasional solo hunt." He was being honest, whether or not Emile was willing to accept what he'd said was a different story.

It was still off-putting to think about hunting solo or with people who weren't Joe, but he was sure he'd make do. Sure, over the years he'd done a few solo hunts when circumstances arose but they'd been rare occurrences indeed. "I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time, there'll be a whole colony to distract you. Besides, you had a life pre-Chase Keaton." There was a low chuckle as Chase leaned forwards slightly placing a quick kiss on the other mans lips before letting his head fall back against the couch once more.

William winced inwardly as he saw Elijah hand off the keys to Brimley. Mac's reaction was quick and, frankly, predictable. If his fiancee's look could kill, he was certain the glare she shot at Eli after snatching the keys back likely would have turned the man to dust where he stood. He nodded at Mackenzie's request, climbing into the back of the Beast as cautiously as possible to avoid disturbing the dozing "prisoner" in the bed. He nodded at Brendan's desire to remain informed as the Elder departed. Now settled, he turned and gave another nod to Mac in the driver's seat.

Elijah bit his tongue, knowing better than to protest Mackenzie's decision. Her furious expression had made him all too aware of the transgression he'd committed in attempting to hand off the keys despite Mac's nod of approval. Between the two women, he would rather risk remaining in Evelyn's presence than Mackenzie's. He crossed his arms, watching his partner and friend depart, pointedly ignoring Brimley.

Thor returned her smile "So am I, though speaking of people returning..." His smile vanished and he sighed "I can sense that so has that kitsune Inari, hopefully he'll behave, but if it doesn't you have my word I won't allow him to harm anyone. Grace or no grace doesn't matter when I'm at full power. And if he has any lingering problems with me I'll give him the opportunity to handle them with me privately now before I go see the others. We'll have to catch up more lately." He returned Adelaide's squeeze by placing his hand on her shoulder before vanishing into thin air.

He could sense that Inari was different - somehow darker. The god casually noted that he even looked different, having removed his dreads, as he appeared in front of Inari as the kitsune was making his way deeper inside of the Colony. The kitsune looked as if he was almost consumed with rage, but Thor was entirely unphased, in his experience he had found that rage was seldom useful, even if he was prone to it himself. Cold cunning like that which Hypolyes was far more dangerous, not to mention to a god of Thor's caliber, a kitsune was of little consequence. Even if it happened to be the oldest of it's race.

"It would seem I am not the only one making his return tonight." He said in a very neutral voice.

The Alpha stopped his advance when the god planted himself directly in his path. He tilted his head and gave a sneer, "Ah, yes. Though our welcoming was quite different was it not? You met by friends and hopeful eyes at the return of their savior... and I to a God who holds nothing but contempt for me, and a group who did nothing as the Men of Letters tortured my people and our shared enemy killed my only daughter." There was a dark amusement to his voice as he spoke and the speech itself different. This Inari didn't use contractions and didn't seem to speak with diplomacy in mind. The Alpha slowly started to circle the god as he continued to speak.

"Though I blame you not for her death, many things led up to it, including a traitor that was seduced by my brother's words. You fought him did you not? How is he these days? Still as daunting as ever I presume?" The Kitsune continued to circle, his words almost sincere in the asking after his brother, but there was no posturing or threat of an attack. It seemed as though he was testing the god's temperament, a thing he did not do in their previous meetings. He just watched Thor's reaction throughout as though he were logging the information for later. "I suppose it didn't go too well, he's still alive. Ah, but how RUDE of me! Congratulations on not dying, I have heard it is quite a bitch, and look! All restored to full power ready to give it another try. Tell me, did you lose the sword that would kill him?"

Chester nodded absently. All this talk was getting him sentimental and anxious. And if he was going going to get people to go along with his plan, Conquest in particular, he couldn’t be either. Time for a little more business.
“Well, happy to around for at least moral support.” He said, finishing his milk and disposing of the bottle. “Nice way to keep my mind of the rescue mission tomorrow.”
He paused a moment as he considered the few details ironed out about the mission already.
“Any idea who would be sent against a demon safe house? Might help to know who I’ll be dealing with.”

Ginny thinks about it. “Brendan does send me on some missions, but I don’t know the others too well. Mac, Elijah, and Will, probably. I think I’ll ask him if I can go.” Tara sighs. “Kid, you haven’t fought one demon, much less a group. “Yeah, but I’m more durable than most of the guys.” Tara shakes her head. “You’re crazy, Gin. Utterly crazy.”

Mackenzie watched in the rear view mirror whilst Will got settled in the bed with their captive. He gave her the signal he was ready and she started them on their way the short distance to the front where Evelyn had indicated the Men of Letters were setting up. She was slightly relieved to know that they would be turning over 'possession' of the girl for the time being: after the night that she had witnessing all of the death and disaster thus far, she wanted nothing more than to go home and relax with some of her less acceptable vices. She leaned over and reached beneath the seat, dragging forward a small bag. She smirked: Ashley-May didn't find this stash ... now she just had to convince Will.

Evelyn watched, quietly, as the pair of hunters loaded into their old car and headed out. Brown eyes turned to her former counterpart expectantly. "Shall we?"

Emile smiled slowly post chaste kiss from Chase, thankful for the least that the younger wolf agreed to consider taking a partner or back up or someone on his hunting trips. He knew in all likely hood that even if Chase took an fleet of hunters with him he'd still be anxiously waiting a call from his love to let him know he was alright. He sighed dramatically at the suggestion that there was a 'life before Chase', rolling his eyes. "I might love you beyond the ends of the Earth but I'm not so forlorn as to find myself with nothing to do without you here at my side." He wink, leaning up to kiss his cheek quickly.

He remained quiet for a short while before broaching a topic that he knew would be difficult. "Since we have the chance," He started slowly, watching Chase a moment before speaking. "There are a few things we should talk about before..." He didn't want to admit that Manitou's gift would eventually wear off and he would be left struggling to express himself and understand Chase entirely. "Besides the fact that you approve of going to the colony tomorrow, for safety, how do you feel about it?" It worried Emile how Chase would feel being within the walls of the colony where his father had been murdered, not to mention the fact that they would be bringing said murder into the colony for temporary internment until they could come to a decision to that mans fate.

William kept a close eye on Amethyst as the Beast ambled down the road toward an encampment in the distance. Will couldn't help but be impressed by the speed with which the Men of Letters had set up inside Vitae. During his time in the Army he'd seen experienced Soldiers take twice the time to set up a camp half the size. As the Mainline came to a stop outside the largest tent, several men and women strode forward, eyeing the vehicle and its occupants with calculating stares. Will climbed out as Arthur approached. Before Will had a chance to speak, the smaller man glanced into the bed and pursed his lips. "This is the cause of what happened in town, I take it?"
elijah-4-jpg.529028

Elijah barely resisted turning on Evelyn with a sneer at her open suggestion. He arched an eyebrow, "'Shall we' what?" he pressed. "Don't you have urgent business to attend to? Puppies to kick and the like?"

97a5f300329e3eeb07ff1096bd239ea4.jpg

As Emile started to mentioning that they should talk about something he'd simply hummed for the man to continue. There were a few subjects he felt might be coming up, but to his surprise it wasn't one he'd considered. Briefly he wondered if he'd been more transparent at the meeting than he'd thought or if Emile was just checking in, it was difficult to say. The hand gliding over Emile's back idled before lazily falling to lie flat against him instead. Chase let out a deep breath and let his eyes wander up at the ceiling where the small flickers of light from the stove created a circus of shadows constantly changing shapes. "Honestly?...I don't know." He admitted simply with a soft shrug of his shoulders. There was a mix of emotions involved, this he wouldn't deny. Joe had been murdered inside those walls, and this was a bit different from a simple visit. Not to mention there were plenty of hunters in close proximity who now knew exactly what he was, he wouldn't pretend that wasn't mildly stressful. But Joe was also buried there, and he there were also people he considered friends in Vitae as well. It was uncomfortable to dwell on so he was quick to deviate.

"But even if it wasn't just about safety I'd argue it would still be a good idea for the pack and colonists to...intermingle a bit. Which is why," Chase started before sinking down a little in the couch and turning so that he was facing the other man on the same level. "I'm hoping you'll be a little lenient on those rules of not letting any of the colonists into wherever we get setup. There's bound to be a few people who have questions or maybe want to see about trading goods, you never know." Chase smiled at the other man, using his free leg to cross over their already intertwined legs to make...frankly a mess. With his right arm he hooked it underneath Emile's left side in a one armed hug. He knew all to well he'd sort of derailed off the mans question and piggybacked onto using it towards his own agenda but he wasn't bothered. "Or are you telling me when the bubbly pregnant blonde shows up for a visit you are going to tell her no?" He'd smirked knowing that Emile understood the sheer force that was Ashley-Mae. She was one of the few people Chase could imagine intimidating Emile if he was going to be honest. "What about you, how are you feeling about it? You were pretty hardcore against it at first."

Thor stood still and merely looked amused as the Alpha started to circle around him, not even bothering to look at Inari as he passed behind him. The kitsune clearly wanted a reaction out of Thor, something quite surprising given that Inari had rather spectacular anger management issues, and was very prone to violence at even the slightest offense, even more so than Thor. Though if he wanted to do a bit of friendly verbal sparring, Thor wouldn't let him down "Thankfully an angel picked it up and made away with it before Hypolyes could get his hands on it. In any case it would seem I was smart to leave Mjölnir here for safekeeping. Though tell me, did you even try to stop... What was her name again? Da Ji? Before she ran off and managed to do no more than bolster our enemy's strength? Or that kitsune that is aiding Hypolyes now? You have my sympathy, it must be a terrible thing indeed to have your children killing eachother."

"You speak ill of the dead. Ill of my kin that had died to expand the Vitae's knowledge about what we face. How ironic that you were supposed to be the honorable one." The comment came out bitterly and without the bite that the comments before had, the Alpha had almost gone mad mourning the constant deaths. He inhaled sharply before continuing to speak, "No, I did not stop her, as far as we were both concerned it was simply meeting our own kind for information. The betrayal came from my own need to keep these alliances from collapsing. As a result, the promise I had made to..." his voice trailed off and the visage of anger cracked to show a deep and unending grief.

The Alpha straightened his face stopped circling once he was back in front of the God and the anger and bloodlust seeped from his every pore, "At any rate, believe once my brother is dead, I will put an end to the Men of Letters with every ounce of vile and venom that flows through my veins. As for you... well, let us be honest, it was nothing more than a minor slight. I understood your reasoning for it and I will retaliate at some point... nothing more than mischief, there's no need to attempt to kill over something so trifling. "

Mackenzie soon followed suit, stepping out of the Beast once the engine was shut off - leaving the keys in the ignition with no intention of waiting long. She glanced over Arthur before nodding tersely, "It - She is." She looked over the sleeping girl, as innocent as she may seem, Mac had seen the truth of it. "I guess the she-devil let you know we were on our way." A statement, not a question but Arthur nodded all the same, regardless of how Mac described Evelyn. "Great, so you have that cell ready then?"

Arthur nodded a second time, "If you don't mind helping me transfer her over." He said simply. Behind him the encampment was busy at work erecting more tents and shipping container buildings as their temporary base of operations. He turned to look over the closets of the structures, the flaps of the tent pulled open revealing a cage, as requested with a cot inside of it. "It can hold deities and demi-gods," He paused, glancing to Mackenzie as she made a noise of interest. "Tested, even and as an added measure we've added a plate of iron beneath. Director Brimely mentioned the potential for possession."

Brendan came around side of the REC center to witness the Alpha Kitsune with Thor speaking in the middle of the roadway. He approached, noting the evident tension between the two of them. He made a point of standing a few feet away until there was a natural break in their conversation, though he had certainly not missed Inari's declaration to annihilate the Men of Letters. He cleared his throat to bring himself into the conversation. "Inari," He stepped towards them. "It has been sometime since you visited last."

Emile wasn't foolish enough to be side tracked by Chase's slight topic change, turning it back onto himself rather than deal with the question at hand. He chuckled softly as the suggestion that Ashley-May would cause trouble for him should he turn her visitations away and he didn't doubt it, but certainly the best kind of trouble. "I have to admit I might have been too quick to make that decision." He sighed, with a shrug, doing his damnest to take ownership of his own faults. "There was a great deal of stress for me tonight. Manitou was ... well I can't say father since I didn't meet him until I was an adult and the Alpha, but ... best friend? Mentor?" He inhaled deeply, reigning in his emotions. "We knew this was a long time coming, but it hurts all the same. He guided me through the darkest time of my life and showed me the good I could bring to the world in Morgan." He grunted quietly. "I might be a be a jaded old wolf but she's the future of the pack: she can bring them diversity and new life with Vitae and Borseti."

He fell silent for a time, his fingers still idly stroking over the material of Chase's jeans. "But you never answered me before. We're going back into Vitae, with Thomas. You need to be honest with me, love. I want to be there for you; you need to let me in."

Evelyn paused of Elijah lashed out at her, he certainly had good reason given how they had parted ways but she waited, several long silent seconds while the man caught his breath before she spoke. "Shall we head on to the encampment and see how the girl is settling in?" She filled in for him but made no attempt to move. "Perhaps it would be for the best if you retired for the evening, Elijah. Clearly you're not in the state of mind to speak even remotely civilly to an ally in this endeavor." She smoothed out the lapel of her jacket before making eye contact with him once more. "Believe you me, Mr. Davenport, make another outburst like this again and it will not be received as kindly." She didn't wait for a response, turning on heel to stride back down the alley way she had come from and the direction in which the Beast had rumbled away.

William listened as Arthur spoke about the cage like a salesman at a car lot reciting the specs on a vehicle. Several nearby Men of Letters stepped toward the bed of the car and the girl inside, but Will stood between them with a wary gaze that stopped just short of a glare. He shook his head. "I'll do it. Go grab a sleeping roll." This presumptuous command prompted the closest agent to purse her lips and turn toward Arthur. The man had seen the silent exchange and waved his associates off. Satisfied, Will leaned down to carefully lift Amethyst from the Mainline. He hefted the young woman easily, still bound in the divine bronze chain and her wrists cuffed in iron for good measure.

He moved over to the cage, one of the agents opening it up for him. Will ignored the gesture, stepping inside to gently set Amethyst down inside. Within moments, the woman Will had spoken to returned with a basic sleeping roll and bedding materials, which Hendrix piled inside the cage before reluctantly shutting and latching the warded gate. Only then did he reach inside the bars to meticulously remove the chain and cuffs with the keys from the Beast so that they could be returned to Mac.

Elijah's jaw clenched before he could stop it as Evelyn delivered her scathing retort. He bit his tongue to avoid the temptation of shouting some insult in her wake. It had been years since he'd last seen Brimley, and already she was proving every bit as adept as she'd always been in managing to get under his skin in the most infuriating of ways. He glanced in the direction of the house, seriously considering doing as Evie had suggested... but decided against it. Whether out of stubbornness or a true desire to see the current "situation" at Vitae through, he instead sighed before following behind the woman (at a moderate distance, of course) as they both trudged toward the encampment.

Adelaide's eyebrows shot up as Thor disappeared before her eyes. She sighed, shaking her head ruefully before turning on her heel to leave the room. She didn't know what to make of the news about the Alpha Kitsune's return; her one and only experience with Inari had been the fateful night of Heaven's arrival at the Colony. In any case, it was out of her hands. What Addy could do was make sure that her friends were made aware of Thor's return. Knowing full well that Morgan had probably heard the better part of the exchange, the psychic instead went down the hall to Ash's door, knocking on it lightly.

She heard Ashley-May call for her to come in, pushing the door open and leaning inside. The blonde woman was sitting up in bed, a hefty tome open in her lap. One of Elijah's, no doubt, though from this distance Addy couldn't discern the subject. "Hey," she said softly. "You got a second? It's... sort of important."

Chester leaned back and thought a moment.
"Crazy, yes." He replied. "But humans manage to take down demons using their wits and intelligence. Being a djinn will give her a better safety net than a regular hunter. Use the same tactics as the humans, avoid trying to directly overpower the demons, and the odds of victory go up."
He frowned a moment as he tried to pull up his mental file on djinn.
"I'm trying to remember, how much over lap weakness wise is there between a demon and djinn? You don't do well with holy water, right?"

Ginny shakes her head. “The nonmagical human method for killing us is pretty specific. Silver knife, coated in lamb’s blood, to the heart. The chances of anyone killing me accidentally are extremely slim.” She chuckles.

Tara nods. “Yeah… that is an odd one. Not nearly as hard to kill a vampire.” She muses.

"I'm sorry about Mantiou." Chase found himself saying softly so as not to interrupt while Emile voiced on his relationship with the god, unsure of how many times he'd said those word tonight. His hands giving small squeezes of comfort, "At least you were able to say good-bye, that's a gift in itself." Though he scoffed mildly when the man spoke on Morgan's potential as Alpha. Not in doubt of her capabilities but more for how Emile was speaking of himself, "Don't sell yourself so short, you've done a great job. And you brought me in after-all."

The room was quiet for a little afterwards, and the other man was the first to break it. Once again pulling a soft huff from Chase, the borderline guilt tripping wasn't fair, especially after what Emile had just spoke on with Manitou. Chase pulled his left leg from the top of the pile and straightened up a little to where he'd been positioned not long ago and set his eyes on the burning of the stove. Not in an attempt to be less intimate but mostly because he needed a second to gather his thoughts and he didn't want to say what Emile wanted with those puppy dog eyes staring him in the damned face. "I'm nervous? Anxious? When I first moved into Vitae it was as a hunter, an equal, another body in the crowd. But this time I'm going as both a hunter and a Werewolf, which means I'm everything that I've tried avoiding and trained to avoid my entire life. Different, a stand-out, drawing attention, which is the last thing you want when you're a solo wolf." It nearly felt like he was ranting at this point and he shrugged. Admittedly that bothered him but it wasn't the source, he was just working towards that part.

Chase found his right hand laid on Emile's left leg which cross his own right one. The man started rubbing a circle with his thumb absently, "And...every time I go into the colony...I'm afraid of turning a corner and catching the scent of his blood. Of accidentally stumbling across the spot he died in." The man closed his eyes as he spoke on his fear. Understanding just how unlikely it was, it'd been weeks and not to mention the fact that the place had likely been cleaned and scrubbed down. That did nothing to diminish the concern however. "I'd just rather not deal with that if I can help it." The man sighed heavily, running his free hand through his hair knowing that it probably sounded a little silly overall but he couldn't help how he felt.
