Fandom A Chance Meeting at Ilex Forest

"Shelby is a very kind human. Her methods are...unusual, sometimes, but that makes her all the more lovable. I think her aromatherapy device is probably the strangest."

"I dunno yet...I haven't learned much yet."
 
"Aromatherapy?" He said raising an eyebrow. "Mapea can use that, though I doubt that's what you meant "

"You've played tag before haven't you?"
 
Cass describes the effects of the device.

"So, tell me all about your son!" Malea says, eyes shining.

"I did on the way up here. I almost won."
 
"That does sound rather strange." Bryndle said. "Why would you do it?"

"Oh he's a doll, and he grew rather attached nearly immediately." She said. "Heh think... Last week I didn't so much as have anyone special in my life and now I'm taking about my beautiful son." She flinched just a little when she realised she used the word beautiful.


"Do you like it?"
 
"Well, mostly to make Shelby happy...and it is remarkably good-feeling, despite how weird it sounds. It's not the first time I changed forms, anyway."

"Does Cassiopeia make a good dad?"

"I do, but I need more practice so I should run more often."
 
"Well if you two are happy and trust this human than I am happy, how's your little one?"

"He dotes on the child, and I think its even gotten worse since he was officially captured.

"Ok then NOT IT" Screamed Balaa, Candy paused surprised by the quick burst.
 
"He's adorable. I can't get over him, honestly. No matter how many times I meet a child I'm inspired by them. Even more so by him being my own."

"So he's tame now? I suppose that makes him a bit sillier. Think he knows?"

Peter is initially stunned, but quickly chases after Balaa.
 
Bryndle smiled. "Children are beautiful in the way they love only by knowing who you are." He said looking at the troop of three "They just met and you'd think they had known eachother for their entire lives."

"I warned him, and it was only recently so he has time to reflect still." Balaa said looking at him, a mix of confusion and warmth.

Balaa runs faster than her legs would make you think she could while Candy started running from Peter.
 
"It really is amazing. It's like looking at a crystal clear lake -- you see so many good things in it and you don't want to disturb the water for fear of losing that reflection."

"I really never expected Balaa would let you both become tame...but to be fair that was your decision."

Peter looks both ways decides he'll better luck chasing Candy.
 
"Indeed.. I would wish to be young again, but to do that would to be to lose Malea, but part of you still envies them eh?"

Danielles heart skipped a beat. "T...that reminds me.. I need to tell you something..."

Candy starts laughing, she was not as fast as her sister and Balaa sits down, watching the other two.
 
"One of the strange things about my species is that we're both ancient and ageless...grown-up yet childish -- I imagine I'll be much more a handful than Peter."

Malea notices. "D-Danielle? Is something wrong?"

Peter, however, does notice Balaa's change in action, and dives towards her.
 
"And yet somehow I feel like you'll be the most mature, and most immature at the same time." He said smiling.

"It's mom..... she died."

"Ahh" She screamed, a mix of delight and fear as she was successfully tackled. "Yayyy!" Candy cheered.
 
"I am a floating contradiction in terms," says Cass with a wink. "Oh, but perhaps your family is preparing to move south in light of the cooler weather?"

Malea pauses, stunned. "Balaa...is gone? What...what happened? I thought...I thought she was too tough..."

Peter giggles, pleased with his own cleverness.
 
"We aren't sure yet, we were thinking of staying brute, but new with the two little ones we don't know."

"She..She had a heart failure....I'm afraid it was all my fault ...."

"Good job!" Candy cheered.

"1....2" Balaa started to count, getting ready to pounce as sin as she hit ten
 
Cass nods. "Well, I can help you get there quick if need be."

Malea hangs her head. "I'm sorry, Danielle. I can't imagine what that's like."

Peter looks for somewhere to hide.
 
"Thank you Cass, we'll take that into consideration, but for now, what do you think of giving our wives a picker upper, they lol like they could use it."

"It's fine.... We had a sweet goodbye, she said it wasn't my fault.But I think she was just being merciful.."


"Here I come!" She announced before springing immediately for candy, she knew she was faster, though she kept an eye on Peter, ready to get some revenge.
 
"I am not opposed to that. Although...I sense my darling is in distress now. Danielle? What happened?"

"I don't think she was being merciful. You can't blame yourself for another's death like that." Malea nuzzles the Ninetales.

Peter looks to the nearest tree and tries to shimmy up it.
 
Bryndle walked besides his dearly beloved, but didn't speak, waiting fit the others.

"It's nothing, I just told her about my mother." Danielle said, trying to pull herself together.

Balaa noticed Peter's vulnerable position, but candy was closer. She dove after her and tagged her "you're it!"
 
Cass listens sadly. "It's been hard on all of us. I insist she needs to stop blaming herself, though."

Malea nods. "If there's anything we can do..."

"Thank you," says Cass with a quiet shake of the head.

Peter finally manages to make it up to the first branch.
 
Bryndle shook his head. "I didn't know her as well as the rest of you, but I feel like if it was your fault, even in the slightest, she would've forgiven you, then let you know that it was." He said looking to the rest, almost asking a question.

Danielle stays silent for the time being.

"Here I come!"yelled candy as she chased her sister before looking at Peter. "Woah, you got up really high!"
 
"It's true. Balaa was never known as a very subtle Pokemon," says Cass with a mildly amused smile. "She will be remembered fondly by each of us, however. Forever."

"I know..." says Peter. "I think it was a bad idea..."
 
"Indeed." Agreed Bryndle, looking up.

"Yeah..thanks guys, you don't realise how happy you guys make me." She said with a warm smile. "Now enough with me killing the mood, tell me about your children!" She said.

"Can you get down?" Candy asked, concerned. Balaa then walked back up and watched as well.
 
Cassiopeia blushes. "I'll let Danielle tell you. We don't currently have plans for more, but even one would be enough for me to go on all day!"

"I....I think I'm stuck..."
 
"Peter is..." She almost said an angel, but didn't want to be that mom. "He's terribly shy, but incredibly loving once he gets to knows you." Danielle said smiling. "What about yours? having twins must be a handful."

"I've spoken enough about them with Cassiopeia, i'll let my beloved take a turn." He said with a smirk.

"Can you climb back down?" Asked Balaa, her eyebrow creasing. "Yeah, come back down the way you came"
 
Cass grins and leans back, acting as if he's lying down in a hammock.

"They're very sweet, but Balaa is much more outspoken. We're still thinking of a name for the other one. They like to explore everything, so it's important we keep an eye on them almost constantly. Speaking of...." She glances around.

"I'd like to but I don't think I can..."
