History:
Phantasma was created using mutant genes. They formed her body in a chamber, but she never grew human features. She only ever advanced to the physical body of a seven year old, but with black skin and no facial features. She grew curious about her surroundings and her expressions were displayed using her mutant ability. The power of illusion. She'd create symbols on her face to display questioning, surprised, bored, among many other things. They kept her in the chamber for nearly a full year before removing her. They gave her simple clothing and found she was capable of speech.
She was a very playful being and the found that she was incredibly smart and had a massive knowledge retainment. They started teaching her everything she needed, plus more. She grew curious of things beyond the facility. She eventually broke out, unintentionally killing five workers. She wandered about, working hard to create the illusion of a face on her. She found a costume and took it, liking the way it hung off her hands. She became known as the Trickster, creating illusions to play pranks on people. She's not evil, she's just playful and silly.

History: - He was born on a Valentines Cruise to a single-pregnant mother, who had gone on it with her friends as a way to get over a recent breakup. As many young people on the ship called him 'Cupid', his mother chose to keep the nickname, and called him as such for most of his youth. It is rather ironic since he has never been one for romance, preferring a more active approach to relationships of all kinds. Around the age of 15, he was removed from his mother, since - despite her protests - people always smelled smoke on him and his things, and were sure that he was either smoking privately with her consent, or she was smoking around him constantly. He had not seen her since. It eventually became clear that he was secreting smoke from his pores in high-stress situations, and sometimes even seemed to form into wisps of dancing vapour. Sometimes the smoke even seemed to 'catch fire' - causing many things to burn around him.

Realising he was a mutant, he made sure to escape the orphanage where he was being kept, slipping away into the night in a cloud of smoke. He escaped the cities and travelled into the less developed, and somewhat chaotic areas where the mutants were hiding from the Sentinels. For a time he travelled with those of the mutant brotherhood, but their violent tendencies and thirst for conflict quickly drove him away. For a long time, he travelled alone, hiding from the machines by turning into smoke and hiding in one of the - seemingly always present - fires within the area. Eventually found the new X-Men, and set about joining them. Hoping that together they might try and secure a brighter and better present, and so gain some hope of a peaceful future.

Mutation Description: - He creates smoke from his Mouth and Nose - His body infusing the air with partially oxidised carbon, nitrogen-containing materials yielding hydrogen cyanide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides. Hydrogen gas is also produced instead of water. He can increase the pure oxygen levels in the smoke to make it highly flammable, causing the already heated particles to ignite and cause violent explosions. He can also cover his entire body in this smoke, allowing him to become part of it for short bursts. All the smoke that he creates he can control in regards density, shape and movement. He might, if given enough time and practice, eventually superheat the ash while also increasing the density of it, potentially petrifying those in the way - hence his alias.
Strengths: - If there are external sources of smoke like an open fire or furnace he can use that instead, increasing is power exponentially. He is also very good at evasion, obscuring, and large-scale damage for short bursts.
Weaknesses: - Physically he is just a normal human, and can be harmed if he can't change form quickly enough. Also, he can only really produce so much smoke, and needs oxygen to do so. If he is out of breath, either from exhaustion or lack of air, he can't create his smoke, and thus is essentially powerless.

Personality: - A very relaxed type of person that just wants the world to calm down, and not have to worry about death every second of the day. He sees this whole thing as being an active hand against a threatening one. Kill the robots before they kill him. He does not mind sharing what he has, and he tends to be honest. Noisy, loud, overly sour/happy people irritate him, and he will often just move away from them, rather than trying to change or control them.

Mutant kind wasn't his problem until he became one. He was selfish, he freely admits that .His parents were rich when they found he possesses the X-gene they worked hard to protect him. But the Sentinels eventually got to him. He was imprisoned for a year in a mutant concentration camp set up by Trask Industries. And due to that, his stance on life is wrapped. He saw people die like pigs, he watched every single friend he made executed like animals. He was saved for last for one reason alone, his powers had yet to awaken. He had yet to know just what kind of mutant he was. And then, one day, they took him out to the yard to put a bullet in his head. And they awoke.

Fire and ice. The very elements themselves came alive around him. They had taken off the gene suppression collar, wasn't worth the metal, he was supposed to die anyway. They paid the price for that, twenty Trask agents died. And when his powers awoke, the camp was suddenly attacked from the outside. The X-men. They freed him and offered to take him in, protect him, feed him and clothe him, just as his parents did before. But he refused. He refused to sit in the sidelines anymore. He refused to close his eyes and allow himself to rest until he knew he had made a difference in the world, to free every single mutant he could. He left Washington and traveled the country, helping where he could, hiding, fighting, chipping away at the horror the world had become. And then, he found them, people who thought like him, who gave up safety for a joined purpose: to save whoever they damn well could. The Free Mutants.

Mutant Ability:

Temperature manipulation.
Mutation Description:
The ability to manipulate how quickly molecules vibrate, creating friction wherever needed and allowing for the production of ice or fire. A sort of pseudo pyrokinesis/cryokinesis, allowing for the production of ice and fire, not total autonomy.
Strengths :
Can vibrate the molecules present in the air or other material objects to heat/cool them down.
Can cool the air around him to condense the water vapor in the air to create ice in any shape or structure he wishes, limited only by his imagination and mental capacity.
Range- 35 feet diameter.
Weaknesses:
Control over ability is limited.
The user is not immune to the fire/ice they make as it can still hurt them.
Using power requires a heavy diet for energy to burn.

Limitation of power- the stronger the molecular bonds of a substance are, like in adamantium, the harder it will be to increase or decrease its temperature.

Wear a large cowl with a hood and cape that extends to his lower legs. The cloak is black with an easy to remove the clip on the front. Underneath is a set of tracks and a white shirt with a triangle on it. The face is decent to look at, used to smile a lot, but now rarely so, but still cracks the occasional joke at the most awkward of times.

Weapons: Has a handgun and several rounds strapped to his belt, a standard issue nine millimeter than he stole from a mutant-hating cop back in Texas. Also carries on his back a blade made out of tungsten that serves as his primary weapon.

Personality: While once a happy-go-lucky guy with a comfortable life, Stephen now sees and understand the struggles of the world and refuses to look away. His number one priority in life is and always will be to protect mutants from imprisonment. While he doesn't hate humans, he will never hesitate to take a life if that meant another mutant life was saved in return. A minor hero complex, he tries his best to do what is right, no matter how difficult a choice that may be.
Likes: He loves pizza, one of the few things that still reminded him of the simple life he had before. He loves his friends and traveling.
Dislikes: Hates socializing and people who look down on others, be it for race, gender or class. He also dislikes drama 'because why the !#$~ do I care about who you're dating when people are literally dying in concentration camps?!'

Growing up in Kansas, there was a lot of free time. His mom worked in the market and his father in the post office. They would always go to a movie every Friday night as a family.
Around 10, Max’s powers manifested. His first instance of using them was in a field. He was bored out of his mind. He dreamt of seeing something fun in the sky. Then Bam. A large firework launched into the sky. Max loves it. Not only did it get rid of the dark, but it was beautiful.
There was mostly no one around which led Max to use his ability constantly. He always wore jeans and two shirts to accommodate for his ability.
Max decided to travel around when he became older. Saying goodbye to his folks, Max headed off to the city. The city was similar to home, just a quicker pace. He found himself surrounded by massive machines. None of which attacked nor harmed him. Some how he was able to hide his X-gene.....
Max got a job as a bartender, getting all kinds of information. He helped people out wherever he could, even going to creating a basement hideaway for anyone who needed it.
On the weekends, Max hosts a firework display on the street outside of his shop. The city allows it because it brings people to the town.

History:
Phoebe’s parents were hasty romantics and her conception an over eager passion. Days passed before the mother fell ill and was rushed to the hospital. Following examination, the mother was decreed to be rapidly approaching her third trimester. The mother died giving birth less than a week later while the child emerged perfectly healthy. The child was given to science.

Such rapid growth was worthy of study, and shortly thereafter, experimentation. Phoebe was clearly a mutant and was passed from facility to facility, all the while growing to a toddler, until she reached the hands of a Weapon Project. It was decreed, that at her rate of growth, her body would destroy itself within a short few years.

As far as they were concerned, she was already dead. So what was wrong with a few experiments?

Eventually they introduced that child to a symbiote and were surprised to see that it took to her biology and regulated her physiology. Phoebe lived on well past their expectations. Eventually, they manipulated her memory and planted her into an orphanage in New York. It didn’t take here long to sneak out of that place and she never went back. She became the definition of a street rat until she bumped into other desperate mutants like her.

The projects leads are most definitely keeping an eye on her, but have proven to be absent thus far. Phoebe is not aware of her symbiotic nature and simply believes that she is an abandoned mutant child.

Mutation Description:
Phoebe’s body and mind are in a constant flux, her physiology ramped up to EXTREME. She is constantly absorbing and displacing loads of information in a matter of moments. She has no actual control of this power as it simply reacts to what is going on around her or opposition she is facing. The symbiote, having fused with her physiology, causes her body to physically change and adapt e.g. creating almost armor-like scaly skin, or allowing her lungs to pull enough oxygen from water to keep her going, when necessary. These boons tend to be rather short lived, meaning she can memorize a language to communicate with someone for a few hours, however, if she is not constantly exposed to it, she will forget and have to start over.

Strengths:
Can become proficient at nearly any skill in a matter of moments. She can achieve superhuman levels of strength, agility, durability, speed, etc. given a few moments time and is particularly resistance to mental attacks both due to her ‘forgetfulness’ and her constantly adapting and racing mind. She’s also rather resistant to intoxication/torpidity/illnesses.

Weaknesses:
While she can adapt her body to resist many things, or even survive off the bare-minimum, she cannot simply grow extra body parts such as actual wings or gills, etc. Due to her rapidly evolving nature, she can be overwhelmed if conditions change too frequently, causing her body to spend too much energy and potentially pass out. Also, a rather small memory capacity means she has trouble with long-term tasks.

History: Born to relatively happy couple in England, the first ten years of Tyler's life were relatively uneventful. Living on the outskirts of a mostly-intact city had it's boons, providing a relatively stable community and protection for all of them. Of course, this changed quite rapidly once Tyler was found to have the X-gene. Fear turned to hate, and he was almost instantly rejected by both his parents and the community, forced into a life on the run.

He would have been caught quite easily if it wasn't for the eventual activation of his powers. Shrinking down whenever Sentinels came close to finding him was a heck of a trick, allowing him to evade detection just long enough to escape. It naturally made survival in general much easily, being able to obtain food and supplies without dealing with the human element.

Of course, it wasn't the most dignified existence. Sneaking around like an insect, scavenging food off of other people... it was humiliating. He would've much preferred to have been able to shoot lasers out his eyes or be strong enough to lift buildings - something to let him fight back. A power like this wasn't even worth having.

He soon caught wind of a programme being ran by other mutants to potentially remove the X-gene entirely, with powers being nullified as a side-effect. By this point, Tyler was streetwise enough to track this down, travelling all the way to America in someone's suitcase. Once there, he volunteered himself as a test subject, being part of the first batch.

Things didn't go so well.

Tyler was the only survivor, the rest either dying of cardiac arrest, or of physical fatigue later on. While suffering from none of this, his abilities were instead effectively reversed - he found himself stuck in a shrunken state by default, only able to return to normal size for brief periods of time. After only a few more rounds of testing, the project was abandoned entirely, leaving Tyler even more frustrated than before.

Mutant Ability: Reverse Shrinking
Mutation Description: Tyler is usually only a centimetre tall, but is able to grow to normal human size for short periods of time. Typically, he can maintain this for several seconds without any ill effects - any longer, and it introduces fatigue and disorientation. He is also able to shrink or grow other objects along with himself, although he he was currently only attempted this on handheld objects for safety concerns.
Strengths: Whilst shrunk, Tyler is stronger and more durable than expected, being able to lift roughly 20 grams. He is also too small to be detected by conventional mutant testing technology, effectively making him invisible to Sentinels.
Weaknesses: While stronger than expected, he is still quite fragile, and his running speed and jumping height are unaffected. He also can suffer from extreme exhaustion when attempting to remain at normal size for long periods of time - currently, the longest he has been able to maintain this state is half an hour, which required a full day's rest before he could grow again.

    History: A first born Mutant child, along with 4 other siblings. All with mutant abilities, something their parents never expected. Especially with Lucians mutant ability, to have a connection to the underworld or how others like to call it "Hell". At first Lucian lived day to day with paranormal experiences and dark light coming out of his fingers, believing his mutant powers just lightning. Then he realized this lightning was of an evil feeling and dark energy, something supernatural. Unsure of what his true abilities were he looked to see if any of his siblings shared any similarities, his being the most unique. All with movement related mutations super speed, teleportation, flying, and jumping.

    By age 10 his mutation of connecting to the underworld transformed exceptionally, an unknown spirit took over his soul. A demonic entity became apart of him, leaving permanent tattoos all over his body, turning his black hair into pure white, pure white eyes , and enhanced physical capabilities. Exposing his mutant like abilities even more to the public, unable to hide his features. Pure white eyes , hair, and tattoos at such a young age made it obvious of what he was. Once he turned 14 the demonic soul that was embedded into him, made a deal with him. Saying that it would provide its demonic like abilities in exchange for releasing its power and destruction. Especially with Sentinels on him every turn he took, it was a deal he couldn't refuse. On the other hand the deal was not fully explained that there would be consequences of taking his life force and being a permanent part of who he was.

    Slowly controlling who he was out lashing in the public and attacking both humans and mutants. Unable to control who he was, a sentinel was sent to control and capture Lucian. Catching him when he least expected it out in in rural china alone, being sent to the United States in a top security for mutants from Beta to Omega level. Top of the line sentinels, supposedly protecting an impenetrable fortress. Until the all famous mutant, Magneto and other extremely powerful mutants from the Free Mutants took down and disabled the facility. Temporarily stopping the Sentinels for about 5 minutes, freeing about half the captive mutants. Lucian being one of the lucky ones to get out alive and fight his way out. Shortly after his release he was recruited by Blink, who brought him back to the main underground headquarters in NY. Starting his new journey to controlling his powers wit the Free Mutants.

Mutation Description: Connection to Yggdrasill:
Hal's mutant gene activated early in his life and opened a connection to the World Tree that supports and connects the Nine Worlds. Yggdrasill is a source of life and has been said to be capable of restoring life after an apocalyptic scenario. His connection, although present from a very young age, is still hardly understood at all. Thus far, Halvar has exhibited the "ability" to be transported instantaneously between the Nine Worlds, but only involuntarily and under very dire circumstances. Asgardian Scholars have theorized a great number of possibilities that could come from Halvar's connection to the Tree of Life, but thus far no other abilities have been shown, despite their belief that much more could come of it.

With this ability, Hal is able to teleport anywhere within a mile's radius of his person, as well as to any other realm in the Nine Realms as long as he knows where he is going. Its possible for him to teleport objects and people along with him, though the added weight might cause increased fatigue.

Sam was born to two mutant parents. They were always on the run and when she was a child, she thought it was a fun game that they used to play. Her parents were being aided by humans who sympathized with the mutant cause. They would go from home to home and Sam used to meet so many people. She loved it. Until they were given to the wrong people. They were turned into a mutant facility run by a doctor who was determined to understand how the mutant gene worked and whether on it could be transferred to a human. He conducted numerous experiments and dabbled with gene splicing. This is where Sam grew up. Due to her enhanced durability, Sam was able to survive anything the doctor wanted to do to her.
Her parents were not so lucky, they died in their first year of captivity. Leaving Sam to be raised by the facility. She was never allowed to leave the facility, never allowed to the sky or stretch her wings so she escaped into her own mind. Imagining a world free from the hatred and cruelty of others, a world where her feet never touched the ground. When she turned 16, the facility was attacked by the new X-Men, the mutants inside were freed and the doctor vanished. Sam finally was able to see the world again and what she was only more destruction. She was determined to become stronger, to help humans and mutants alike, and to make the world that she imagined while in captivity become a reality.

Wings: She was born with wings that can span up to 16 feet. Due to this mutation, she has the ability to fly, her bones are hollow making her much lighter than the average female. Her body is also equipped to deal with the speed and great altitude which she flies in, which includes heightened durability, strength, speed, stamina and healing capabilities. She can fly for hours on end but once she becomes too tired, she falls into a deep slumber to recuperate.
Electricity: Due to the experiments conducted on her, her cells were changed to accept influxes of electricity around her. However, because of the trauma, she cannot control this power. This mutant ability only emerges when she is under extreme duress. She is able to shoot energy blasts, create force fields of electric magnetic fields, and use it for bursts of inhuman speed. Another drawback to this ability is that she must constantly replenish the electricity within her or she becomes too weak.

History: Nickie Barris grew up quite enough, moving around the country for most of it. She found out about her mutation without major incident and kept them secret as she began to experiment. This sparked an interest in technology, eventually leading her to MIT. She was there when Sentinels tracked her down. She was saved by a group of Mutant freedom fighters, who recruited her. For the next couple of years, she fought against the Sentinels, trying to make things better for her fellow mutants.
About 6 months ago, Nickie and her team was on the trail of a Sentinel R&D instillation with reports that a new type of Sentinel that could pass off as a human or a mutant. The team broke in and set to destroying any research. Nickie was projecting herself into the security system when she found a cache of bio-organic technology. Records indicated it was alien in origin and being repurposed for the new type of Sentinel. Nickie was interfacing with he bio-tech when there was an explosion and she felt as if she was suddenly set adrift with no connection to her body. Feeling like a dark void was pulling her in, Nickie scrambled for anywhere safe, ending up in the early prototype of the Bio-Sentinel. Using some of the files on the Bio-tech, she managed to overload the cache, setting of several other explosions as she tried to get out. She tried to find her team, but only found a few of their bodies and where she had left her own was a crater. Escaping the installation, Nickie went underground as she tried to come to terms with what had happened and what she was riding around in. Recently, she has been trying to track down rumors of a new X-Men team, hoping to get help with her new circumstances.

Mutation Description: Can control and manipulate technology, even allowing for reshaping and creating new devices. Can also project her consciousness into devices and into networks.

Strengths : Can control and adapt tech around her as needed. Has the brains to even invent a few things. Can “jam” a Sentinel for short periods. While not Invulnerable and able to lift tons, her strength and durability are above that of a normal human. Can regrow limbs with repurposed bio-material. No true “vitals” to hit. Frequently surfs the web and listens to music in her head.
Weaknesses: Powers and body can be weakened by EMPs. Enhanced senses can be used against her. Won’t use her transference power for fear of what could happen.

History: Not much is really known about Duke's past, what he was before the New Mutants. Only thing that really was known was that he and his clone appeared during an ambush guns ablazed. Though they did not defeat the ambush alone, they certainly help turn to tide. Duke and his lads did some good that day, helped mutants escape the city. The entire lot of them knew where they were going, even far into the country side. After that incident, Duke and his clones volunteered themselves to the New Mutants, and they've been working with them ever since to help free the mutants taken hostage by the human government.

Mutant Ability:
Replication-The ability to clone himself and static objects at a very rapid pace, not to mention the fact that his clones can also clone just as fast as he can.
Collective Mind- The brains of Duke and his clones are connected, thus they can communicate with each without necessarily being in the presence of each other. Can be used to scout out areas being able to see and experience in multiple areas at once. Not to be confused with hive mind, the difference here is that while the minds of Duke and his clones are connected. The clones are capable of not thinking the same thing as Duke, even outright disagreeing. Thus, the clones do still retain autonomy from the original Duke.
Reabsorption- Reabsorb his clone and other cloned objects from anywhere, gaining any of the said clones new experience
Dissolve- A clone exclusive skill, where the clone can dissolve itself and the items it was spawned with, until the clone becomes nothing more then dust in the wind. The clone will also dissolve when the it's body is completely deceased, along with any spawned items that the clone possessed at the time. It should be noted that when interacting when anything anti-mutant, weather that be shock collars or even anti-mutant bullets, the clones may simple dissolve upon contact. If Duke himself is about during the dissolving process, he may be able to absorb the dissolving essence back into himself.
Collective Memory-The user is able to access an information pool that contains the memories of one or more persons, enabling them to call on those memories and experiences.
Replication Regeneration- User is able to regenerate by absorbing an uninjured clone, fusing together with their none damaged parts and replacing the damaged bit.
Replication Sense-
The user can sense differences in multiples, which include twins, replicates and clones. They can sense which one of such multiples is the original of them all, sense mimicries such as mimicked movements, powers, skills, voices, etc. They can sense the disguise of a person, and they can sense psychic modes of mimicry as well. The user has the ability to detect forgeries and counterfeits of different objects.
Mutation Description:
User can instantly and perfectly replicate themselves and/or targets which can be objects or living beings, numerous times, while usually being able to recombine the clones. Most users have both of these abilities (if subconsciously), copying their clothes/equipment along with their body. Original target will normally be able to maintain control over all copies. In case of living/sentient clones, physical properties are exactly the same as the original one's, although each copy will have independent personalities, as these clones see themselves as merely an extension of Duke's overall personality. Indeed, they consider themselves a part of Duke.
Strengths:
Junker Mechanic- A rather avid tinker, a skill that was collectively acquired, Duke is capable of building make shift weapons and repairing mechanical objects, such as vehicles. Parts and ammunition isn't much a problem for him, as Duke is virtually a walking munition store, ling as he has a single one of the object needed.
For the Greater Good- Duke's clones will never hesitate in the face of danger, even if it means at the cost of their lives...they do so because they know...know that they will cheat death...and become reborn.
Pack Protection- It's often difficult to pin point who exactly is the original Duke, as he travels in a pack to avoid being identified. Sometimes, he will be talking to you personally, other times he will send a clone to do so.
Reserves-Never reveal all your cards at once. Duke always have some boys in reserve or even on stand-by elsewhere. Often times he may have specialist squads such as recon squads or decoy squads already in the next place ready to provide support. Of course, this is heavily dependent on said location.
Weaknesses:
-Duke himself is human and squish, his clones are even more so squish and can be easily incapacitated
-Although the Duke can clone fast and clone a lot, if he does it too much for too long he is going to pass out. Without the Duke, his army of clones may descend into a directional chaos.
-The Duke has to deal with an army of voices in his heads, so from time to time he either stares into space or starts talking to himself.
-No one knows what would happen if the real Duke dies, yet know one wants to try...
-Duke cannot clone other people, as the process is too complicated and much too risky.
-There are certain advanced tech and other materials in the universe that is too complicated or even rare for the body to simply make a replication.
-The original Duke is actually mute, or rather he acts mute, only speaking through his clones.

Personality:
Generally said to be sarcastic, but he also appears to be an easygoing man, with quite a laid-back attitude. Although when things get serious, Duke sense of sarcasm will still be intact, if only to lighten the mood. He tries to do the right thing most of the time to make up for his past sins in A.I.M., and he will do anything to fight against A.I.M to pay them back for what they did to him. He commands his clone army with confidence and although he occasionally bickers with them, Duke sees them all like his brothers.
His clone are free to posse any sort of personalities they desire, from a happy-go lucky personality to an always angry one. They are all more than willing to fight to the death or sacrifice themselves for the greater cause, knowing that they can simply re-spawn later. However, the clones know one thing above all: They are only part of something larger, and in order to achieve that larger something, it’s imperative that they work together as a collective.

Junker Weapons- Over the course of being part of the resilience, Duke and his clones have built up quite the collection of weapons, ranging from kitchen knives to tire irons to assault rifles to even explosives such as rocket launcher. Most of the weapons that Duke and his clones possess are often scavenged and Jerry rigged together
Survivalist Kit- Kind of just a bunch of random assort of items that Duke or his clones carry about with them, but they sure do come in handy when you need to be able to survive without the modern essentials.
Motorcycles- The primary transportation method for Duke and his clones, although compared to his weapons they are far less in number.
Smartphone- Duke's prized poession, as it a great source for information and a good tool in a pinch.
Flag of the United States of America- Weather it be wearing a US flag as a bandanna or as a shawl, Duke and his clones can be seen often flying the stars and strops, sometimes quite literally. Call him naive, but...some clones still believe in the principals of the United States, seeing the government that had turned on them as corrupted. Others in the retinue fly it perhaps because they wish to make the opposition see...see that they too stand for the same principals. Yet others simply wear the colors for shits and giggles. Regardless, you would occasionally see a clone or two where the colors of the U.S., and on rare occasions they may be carrying an entire flag pole.
Other:
The clones rely on a numbering system to keep track of who's who.
Duke can speak Mandarin pretty fluently.
Duke also has a hobby of cooking...when he can. The young man at least enjoys reading cook books.
