Insane is a strong word
I prefer the term Power-Hungry
Also don't call the Knight the "Good Guys"
While the Villains are labelled Villains
Its simply because they are opposition

Izuru was considered a villain until he killed off everyone who called him one. >_>

How is the emperor power hungry though? What power is he/she hungry for? Am I asking too many questions? Should I just accept what is happening at this point?

I have this habit of once I'm curious of a character, I feel the urge to find every nook and cranny of them. Sadly, this curse often comes when I come to this site. 60% of the characters I see in an RP that is at least decent make me want to go all sherlock holmes/Freud/[insert-smart-person-here] on them.

Essentially he wants power over everything because he hates being powerless
His mother was killed, His Father made life Hell for everyone and Some Races couldn't get along
"If I control everything... things can get better"
Thats his thing

Isn't he the emperor though? If he wants more power, then why-oooooh nvm. I can see where my train of thought is going, I will stop in case this might turn into some sort of spoiler.

If he wants more power, then why doesn't he just invade any nations/countries/kingdoms around or even nearby? What power does he gain from using his own forces as a zerg rush? Why doesn't he just send assassins to do their thing for whoever he feels has the power he wants?

If I am asking too many questions, tell me now so I know I should focus on other stuff. Like my next post, D&D, or my cat.

I wanna say you should focus on the kitty...

He wanted to be different from his father in the beginning. So when he went around and gained the alliegence of each Racial Faction, he tried to do it with words and minimal bloodshed. However recent events broke him to the point where he kept making terrible mistakes. His Wolf Mother chewed him out and told him to harden up and conquer things. So his current arc has been all about building himself back up so he can rule the Empire...with an iron fist if he has to

There's been a fair number of questions and discussion in the OOC, nothing wrong with that, helps flesh out characters and setting.

He also trespassed into some random orc's sacred hunting grounds and killed the shit out of said orc for telling Izuru to get off his lawn.

And, you know, the werewolves having a giant inexplicable stockpile of anti-werewolf magical artifacts, enough to outfit Izuru's army twice over (which he did and then genocided the werewolves with).

Also Gaius Danius Griinia Gaius Danius Griinia while I won't start anything over you blatantly ignoring me, I am gonna ask that you make you either make that "recap" actually reflect what happened or not have it at all. Replacing it with an imagespam shitpost doesn't help new people at all and will only lead to this exact scenario repeating itself every time someone enters the game.

Okay so, in short, the emperor goes pretty much insane during a war against an undead dragon and its army. After disagreements with how the emperor handled the means to win the war, rebels pop up to overthrow him and various groups/individuals show up with various agendas. People (the good guys) do whatever the hell the do and stuff happens.

Its basically if homestuck and game of thrones had a baby. This is what I understand as of right now.
Honestly just read all 9 pages of Ic lmao. Jkjk

Please respond to this. I can understand not wanting to respond to things that could be put in a nicer way, but ignoring users completely is not a good idea. I'm going to read the RP from the beginning, not because I want to, but because I wish to understand what is going on currently so I have the relevant information my character already knows (Such as the civil war) that I myself didn't even know was going on. Gaius Danius Griinia Gaius Danius Griinia

The recap makes it seem like the war against the necro-dragon was what most of the RP has been focused on with everyone's character being involved with the war, but after backtracking in the OOC it seems like that like was more of an limited-time event rather then something that a was a major plot.

Anyway, I'm going to go read the RP now, and once I'm done I'll make a book report so others don't have to backtrack as well. I thank those who tried to catch me up on the relevant stuff. RatKing RatKing Zerohex Zerohex and anyone I may I missed~

Yeah I give up. Before I finished reading the second page my summary turned into a review and once I went down the road to break every little thing down it lead me down an endless rabbit hole that started making me want to light my computer on fire in frustration.

Basically: A war happened, stuff happened, bing bam boom dragon died, emperor went crazy, and another war started. There is all you really need to know.

Rest in spaghetti, never forghetti

So StrayTheCat StrayTheCat what in particular broke you now during this? Sure I get endless rabbit hole of it, but what was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak?

Freshet Freshet et If I had to pick something in general, it was the constant description of how tough the war was despite nobody actually dying or really getting injured for that matter (during pages 1-2 of the RP I mean). If I had to pick something in specific, it would either have to be RubyZoos posts(No offense Ruby ;w;) or when Sept was able to literally able to leave his men to go talk to another knight just for them to interact while a WAR with LEGIONS of UNDEAD were supposed to be attacking them like a LEGIT deadly threat. It just made my immersion finally snap and I couldn't help but think that for all these zombies are stated as a major threat, it sure does seem like they are handled quite easily. Pretty much replace the word "zombie", "zombies" or "undead" with any race or animal/beast and you'd think it was a massacre not a freaking war. Almost made me want to root for the undead dragon, and see everyone's characters become a nice happy meal.

RatKing RatKing While I say that, the post itself was fine. It was just that I saw one too many times that this horrible army supposedly posed such a deadly threat as to require the entire military of the emperor were so easily being handled. I still think this is/is going to be a fun RP, but it was at that moment as a reader I wanted to go full-sarcasm mode and just tear everything to shreds at every for seeable crack in the story's armor.
