Gabby only chuckled "but what do you think Matthew will say once he finds out, don;t worry if you ever need a partner you know where to find me" She said walking away and Matthew just looked at her than back at Rose "Okay I am just confused what happened to your last partner!"
 
"He uh........." Rose stopped for a minute "Hey didn't you have something to tell me about what happens in the game? or.....something....." SHe said trying to get to another topic
 
"Rose come on, I wasn't born yesterday you dolt. now come on how can I trust you if you keep me in the dark" he said holding her hand "Did you betray them? did you kill them? Was Gabby your last partner you can tell me Rose" Matthew said getting more angry
 
"Gabby was NOT my last partner. I would have killed myself gosh." Rose said quickly. Seeing his anger she reluctantly looked away from him. "He was killed, not by me but because of me. He killed himself." Rose said reluctantly.
 
"What do you mean? why would he do that? What did you do?" he asked this became more and more noticeable to others and Gabby just watched smiling. "Why can't you just tell me?"
 
Rose sighed. "He wasn't much of a fighter like you are. He was more of a....planner. I was only worried for him in Games so I worked up a plan. Hauntechs move, Parasite, works on Players ingame too. I figured if Hauntech could control him during games maybe he'd be a better player and i wouldn't have to worry so much. That is until, I realized that parasite had an effect on him outside of the game too. My ghost is a glitch. It downloaded itself into his nervous system. So even out of game, it had control." She stopped and looked away. "I realized when it was too late, he was dead. I only wanted to help him i didn't know what consequences it would have..."
 
Matthew just looked at her and flicked her forehead "See that wasn't too hard you dolt." he said with a smile before putting his arm around her "You were just doing what you thought was best for your team so I can't really put blame on you but just never use Hauntech's power on me alright" he said smiling a bit more calm then he was
 
Rose Smiled "Darn, i was thinking about it too, but deal!" She said excitedly. "Oh come on!" Gabby yelled walking up to them from where she had been watching. "You're not concerned about that! She's lying! She knew exactly what she was doing! He wanted to stop her from experimenting on other players so she took him out! You can't trust her!" She yelled at them. "Do yourself a favor and come with me. I won't kill you for being a decent human being." She said with a visibly angry face.
 
Matthew couldn't help but laugh "After that little stunt you pulled in the game Gabby. I have to say that I would rather be with Rose after all she needs someone to protect her when she gets too feisty outside of the game" he said putting his arm around her smiling "what... even after everything. You'll be dead before you know it Matthew" Gabby said walking off
 
"First time we met and I threatened you and you dodn't back down not to mention how you treat others here" he said laughing
 
Rose sighed " I guess you're not totally wrong....." She paused "Hey we should get back to the mansion my father and lilith are going to question us....." She said sadly. She walked to the elevator that leads in and after Matt followed her she pressed the button to take them back up.
 
Matthew couldn't help but smile as they walked he ended up holding Rose's hand "I just wanted to say thank you for showing me that, that was fun" Matthew said as they walked into the mansion only to open the door to Rose's dad and Lilith "I see you two have made up" Lilith said
 
Rose's frown returned and she quickly tugged her hand away from matthew. "Hardly." She said in the bored voice that she was accustomed to using around her father. Lilith frowned as well. "Your father and I have come up with a plan for you two to......get along." Se said with slight hesitation "Yes since it seems you have no intention of cooperating you'll have to follow us." Her father said as guards grabbed Rose and Matthew from behind, pushing them forwards to follow her father and Lilith
 
"Well, I was thinking sir, why does it matter if Rose doesn't fight? I mean she is a pretty good hacker and usually the crime boss doesn't get their hands dirty am I right" Matthew said as he was being pulled only for Rose's father to shove him against a wall. "Don't tell me how to run my business!" He stated with a stern voice
 
Rose growled "Careful father." She said in her bored voice. the guard that had her shook her to make her quiet. SHe lowered her head but still kept an eye on her father And Matt. "Don't carefull me. I'm in control." He said to her sternly. SHe smiled a little. "Ok." She said "I knew this would Happen." SHe said slowley. Her father gave her a strange look. She looked up and Matt saw her Iris became a glitching green. "Sorry Matthew. I didn't tell you. I didn't want to worry you after my story." She said. Suddenly the guard that held her crumpled to the floor. Hauntechs draining Link. Rose will be very tired in a few minutes. "I think I'm in control now." She said looking straight at her father.
 
Rose's father released Matthew and looked at Rose "Who do you think you are?" he said getting more mad all Matthew could do was watch in fright as Rose used hauntech's power "Please let that not be parasite" Matthew said under his breath worried about his friend "I am your father, are you listening to me?" he yelled as he ordered more guards to go after her
 
Rose tilted her head "I think not." She said as she stuck her hand out. "Cyber threat, Download, Parasite." She said with a bored tone and a straight face. The Guards Froze for a minute and became very confused as if they had just entered upon the scene She turned to Mat as the glitching in her eyes grew worse. "Matt, I'll need you." She said just before passing out next to him. Hauntech drained all her energy for the moment.
 
Matthew quickly caught Rose he looked down at her worried about what she did he looked up to Lilith as she hit her father over the head before he said anything to them "Well I would get going to your safe place" Lilith said and Matthew Immediately darted back to where they began in this the VR arena with Rose in her arms it was only moments as he entered that someone who recognized them helped him to the arena where he sat her in a chair and checked all of her vitals
 
Ahmya opened her eyes to nothing but darkness. "What....where...Oh." She said to herself as she came to a realization. She wasn't awake she was in her own mind. She could hear matt Calling out to her.
 
he held her hand as she laid in the chair with Rose still out cold "Why would you go and do something so risky Rose" he exclaimed holding back his anger and sadness that she would do something so reckless. "What were you thinking?" he asked before asking what are you thinking now?"
 
Rose sat down in her darkness. "Oh Matt, If only you knew." Suddenly she felt hazy again and passed out. This time she opened her eyes to the real world. She took a minute to process her surroundings but it didn't take long for Matt to crush her in a hug. "H-hey what. What gives. Can't breath." She said quickly with the breaths she could get.
 
"Oh! my bad, but are you okay?" Matthew asked it was obvious that he was very worried about Rose which didn't seem like his type. he couldn't help but smile "I'm glad your okay, after what you told me what Parasite did I would never thought you would use it on yourself" he said holding her hand
 
Rose smiled "I didn't. I'll tell you more later though. Hey isn't that?" SHe asked without finishing the sentence. She was pointing to the person who had helped Matt, Gabby again. Rose looked to the side. "Someone knock me out again please this is a nightmare."
 
"Honestly I would have never helped you if it wasn't for lover boy over here, speaking of which you owe me" she said pointing at Matthew who blushed "Don't call me that and shut it, after that stunt you pulled it's more like we're even" Matthew argued and Gabby chuckled "So Rose it seems lover boy doesn't know about the vow system. It's kind of like Rose's parasite but is part of the game I just give a single command and you will follow it like it or not" she said showing a her phone which showed that Matthew did owe Gabby a vow.
