Realistic or Modern Where the Werewolves Go

The Wolf gives her own, slightly silly looking grin, happily pressing her head against his. She’s grateful for the contact, as well as the meaning behind it. She’s kind of confused as to why Anna doesn’t seek it out. There are times when she really needs a hug, but she’s too scared of being seen as weak to go get one.

Pack Bond
Oh, I get it! Maybe not Annie then, that could confuse her. I should think about names! Ooh, yeah, can we hunt now! I really want to try! It sounds like so much fun!

Anna sighs mentally, assuming that Chief can’t hear her, and rather annoyed about still having no control. She’s come to the conclusion that her Wolf has none of her experience as far as social norms go, which would explain this lack of a filter. Anna remembers when she was still like that.

She is excited to hunt though, wanting to explore more of this new feeling, something she’s never had any way to feel before. It’s just so freeing.

Alpha's red hues were calm as always as they watched her react. She shared something quite similar to Anna, upon which is her "sparkle". Yes. Sparkle. The same gleam in Anna's eyes when she discovers something. The black wolf's throat gurgled with a chuckle as the grin exposed his teeth a little. At the request of a hunt, that was all he needed to know before the wolf stood on all fours. He shook his fur, hoping to shake off the dirt from his rear without having to groom it on the grass. Though more than likely, he's going to need to bathe after this.

Pack Bond
Of course! For now I'll call you little one or shewolfif that's alright. Until then, take all the time you need, you have the rest of your life to name yourself. C'mon then! It'll be fun. While we find the deer, prepare yourself, think about how you would get the back leg. But try avoiding getting kicked in the face. -snickers-. You can heal if you get hurt but I'll make sure you're comfortable before we start.

It was very clear to him that the golden wolf already held respect for both himself and her hostess. Which brought him great joy observing this. He started strutting in the direction of the scent that drifted away from them. It was a hint that she could and should follow him, but he started with a brisk walk.

The Wolf nods, pushing thoughts of names out of her mind for now. We are definitely getting kicked in the face. Anna comments mentally, but she’s still looking forward to it. I wonder if I would even feel that from here. Her Wolf chuckles softly, and gets up to follow her alpha, the dirt a bit more obvious in her lighter fur.

She trots after him, sniffing the air to try and figure out more of where it’s coming from, and so she’ll remember that this is what deer smell like. There are just so many smells here, it’s hard to focus on that one. She can smell Alpha, of course, and a couple damp spots that must be near ponds or streams, as well as all kinds of plants. She’s very curious, and if not for the task at hand, she’d be likely to wander off in search of all those new smells.

Hearing the shewolf's chuckle encouraged the Alpha to continue. Padded paws thudded against the ground of the forest. Alpha ducked his head underneath branches of trees and dodges the thick leaves of bushes that were in his way. Once in a while he would check on the golden shewolf behind him by craning his neck to glance over his shoulder. She seemed content, albeit lost, but happy nonetheless. He wondered what was going on in Anna's head from the void. He'll have to talk to her when she shifts back to her form. Oh yeah, the black wolf's ear twitched when he realized something: they need to go to her cabin before she can shift back to her human form. Unless she's comfortable with her birthday suit.

Soon the path guided the two wolves to a more open field of grass. Alpha slowed down his current pace of a trot into a slow walk. Eventually he stopped but he remained on all fours. Ears perked up to train his hearing in the direction ahead of them. Up ahead a herd of deer nestled on the ground, lying on the grass. The black wolf trained his eyes on them, hoping the golden shewolf would stop as he does and watch. Normally now was the time to reach out in the pack bond. But he wanted to test her first, and see what the new wolf would do in this situation. Would she wait for her alpha or would she go by her impulsive nature. Alpha kept Anna's wolf in the corner of his eyes but he hasn't swayed his head or looked away from the three deer. They were far out, perhaps half a football field away. If anything, it would be quite the run before they would notice them. For now, the animals haven't even thought of the predators.

The Wolf sees the deer, and tenses, looking about ready to spring. This time it’s Anna that stops her. No. You’re the new girl. You don’t get to do that. The Wolf hesitates, before looking over at Chief, and going to his side, getting low to the ground to try and hide in the brush.

Pack Bond So which one do we go for? The little one, maybe? It doesn’t look like it’ll be very fast. But the others might try to protect it, so maybe not. You said we should go for a doe, right?

Anna sighs softly, glad that her wolf listened to her when she said they should wait. She doesn’t want to do anything that might mess up the hunt, or worse, upset Chief. His opinion of her is one of the things she values most.

Unaware of the conversation in the wolf's head with her hostess, Alpha couldn't help but grin under his whiskers as he watched her in the corner of his eyes. It took every fiber in his bone to not laugh at her for crouching like this. It was rather similar to hiding behind someone's back surrounded by a circle of people, where everyone can see her regardless behind the mountain of a man. The deer, if anything, would see him first. It was simply entertaining to him but he had to relax his face and get serious before turning to look at the wolfess. A rather proud smile replaced the grin as he heard her voice in his head. Ahh, so she's smart like Vees. An approving spark in his eyes was followed by a chuckle from his throat.

Alpha glanced back to the small herd, still standing confidently on all fours. "Hmm." He voiced outloud.

Yes. The littlest one. That would be perfect for you. We're gonna go off into a sprint. We're already going to startle them, might as well go as fast as we can. That's the best way. If you go slow then sprint, you might not catch them with a good pace. Normally the dont fight for their young, since they're already scared for their own lives. Mostly when the buck is there with them, he'll defend his family. But I don't see one. So this is perfect. You ready?

Alpha's head tilted as his eyes swayed in her direction encouragingly. If she gave any sign of confirmation, he'd begin the sprint. For now, he hoped she got all of that. If she had any questions, now is the golden time....ha...ha...get it. Golden.

The Wolf gets ready, changing the position of her crouch to get ready for the sprint, eyes bright with excitement for the chase and kill that’s coming. She just needs to get this right. She locks her eyes on the fawn, grinning, and giving her response.

Pack Bond Ready!

As soon as it’s said, she’s running, heart pounding as she charges straight for the young deer, her eyes still fixed on it. She saw him readying herself, and hopes she didn’t jump the gun.

Alpha's eyes never strayed from the fawn, until the golden shewolf sprinted into a dash. Instincts took over and the black wolf darted with her, taking full speed. Wind rushed through their fur while fear rushed through the deer in front of them. The second the adults spotted a wolf chasing towards them, their heads jolted from their places and ears perked up. They got on their hooves in a heartbeat and began their run. The poor little fawn having to follow its family seemingly stumbled and ran after them with a new fear in its eyes. It was clear though that it wasn't the first time this family of deer has been chased before. They had such a speed that Alpha had to pick up his pace. His legs stretched out, tail flying behind him and ears pointedly facing up.

He wouldn't scold her for the instinct to rush right away, he did ask if she was ready after all. If it was a sudden charge without preparation, then perhaps there would have been scolding involved. But for now, she hasn't failed him and he expects this out of her as they chased the fawn. It was the last to run in the group, slowing a little behind. He kept the little one in the corner of his eyes as they ran side by side, with a respectable given distance between them. Ever so alert on their meal, Alpha picked up the pace even more, going a little faster than the golden wolf. He wondered, while she was new, how much she was capable of.

Pack Bond Okay Little One. I'm going to get the back leg first! Unless you can catch up and get it. I'm going to try and trip it so you can get a bite and slow it down. When we get it to slow down I'll get the neck and plow it down okay?

Anna’s wolf barks in approval, not focusing enough to use the pack bond, sprinting after the fawn, her breath hard and fast as she struggles for the speed she needs. She sees Alpha pass her, and huffs, straining to gain on him, but unable to. She certainly has Anna’s drive to prove herself.

She watches Alpha chase down the fawn, and growls softly, getting ready for a burst of speed so she can grab hold of the leg when the creature goes down.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Ren sighed as he walked through the forest with a bag over his shoulder. Training for Guardian was a little intense but it was worth it, his protective side was on high as he arrived at the campsite.

Setting his bag down he could see traces of torn clothes and scruff marks on the ground. Ren instantly was on high alert but his wolf made himself known with a deep growl I his chest. "You're right." Ren said then closed his eyes and sniffed the air. The first scent he picked up was the Alpha and he relaxed a bit but then picked up a scent of a young female. 'This is new. Hope she does well.' He thought as he proceeded to clean up the campsite and pull out big blanket from his bag. For some reason he felt the need to bring it but didn't know if it was needed.

Checking the perimeter to make sure everything was in order and sat down beside the campfire. Ren enjoyed the silence but his instinct was still focused.

While his rangers waited him patiently back at the camp, the black wolf guided the little golden female to success. Ever so alert, Alpha eyes targeted the leg of a fawn closest to him. Stretching out his neck, his paws accelerated his speed to the point where his fangs could sink into the fawn's back. As the wolf's fangs got a nice bite from the fawn, it seemed to have stumbled. But it tried to keep going. The bite caused him to slow down a little, but Alpha continued the fast-paced trot. It was very obvious the black wolf wore confidence very well as Alpha's tongue licked his teeth. It didn't draw too much blood from one simple bite, but it was enough to grasp a tasty lick. Red hues rolled over to the female next to him. It was her cue to attempt a bite. She was surprisingly caught up to his side, and now that the fawn had slowed down a tad, this was her chance to get a nibble out of it. Alpha's eyebrows hoisted up to his forehead of furry wrinkles expectantly.

Seeing that the fawn has been injured, the Wolf grins wickedly, and leaps forward, digging her teeth into the animal’s upper leg, and holding on tight in an attempt to bring it down with her own weight. And also break or mangle its leg. That would be great.

The sudden taste of blood is something euphoric for someone that’s never had it before, and she growls, her jaws clamping down even harder. Anna is enjoying it as well, laughing and whooping like she’s at a sports game or something. This is just an amazing feeling.

An older red Toyota truck lurched down the dirt road heading towards the ranger station leaving a small dust trail in it's wake. Logan parked the vehicle outside of the station in the parking area and stepped out, taking in a deep breath of pine before making his way towards Chief's office. Today was initiation day, it meant they were finally going to be starting the duties they'd trained for. On the job side of things, it wasn't easy, at least for Logan. Most departments these days wanted you to have degree's and a certain amount of knowledge before they'd accept you. Obviously the pack's station was a different case, being more of a family run station to an extent. However that didn't mean they got off easy, they'd still had to have a knowledge of different subjects. Some would have had this through college, with the right classes. Logan however had never attended anything beyond high-school, so he already felt behind in that department. He'd had to double down on the training, whilst learning what was necessary through studying. Logan was good at doing, but when it came to the studious part of the work he was lacking.

This line of work would have never been something he'd consider doing had the station not been pack run, by the Alpha as well. Logan didn't exactly have a passion for it, he was more interested in doing his part for the pack, that didn't however mean he wasn't looking forward to working here. He'd been coming around and helping out since he was younger, it'd given him something to do before he started working at the garage. The man stepped inside of the station, making a b-line to the Alpha's office. Though he was met with an open door to an empty room instead of the older man waiting to greet him. Logan frowned at the entrance, thinking about where he could have been. This was the time Chief had asked him to be here after-all, technically he was even a few minutes late, but not the point. With a huff he moved into the office and looked on the desk, moving a document or two but not finding what he wanted. So he turned on his heel and went right back out the way he'd came, turning abruptly around the corner of the building to head towards the back. Logan was hoping to catch sight of the man in the open area of the station grounds, instead he spotted Ren by the fire-pit. The man let out a sigh, about to just try and call the Alpha before his eyes caught hold of the objects next to the fire-pit. Logan quickly caught onto the fact that they belonged to Chief even from this distance, and immediately started closing the distance.

"Ren." He greeted the man with a simple nod as he walked up, then started digging into Chief's belongings at the sight of the clipboard. A small grin appeared on his face as he lifted it up and started flipping the pages over the top end, briefly glancing at each one. It wasn't until he found the exact page that he grabbed the pen from the clip and knelt down one one knee so he could lay the clipboard on his thigh. With one quick motion he signed the paperwork where needed before dropping it gently back on the ground next to Chief's belongings. Logan wasn't particularly interested in waiting for Chief to ask him to sign, and opted to forego the formality by signing already. The man turned his attention back to the pack member sitting, though he kept his eyes on the treeline across the way. "I take it the old man didn't schedule his appointments far enough apart." Not entirely sure why the Alpha had seemingly shifted and run off with a female he wasn't familiar with. The slight scent of blood mixed with her odd smell made him believe that maybe she'd just been turned, but why Chief would do that now of all times was beyond him. If he'd wanted to give the bite and show her the ropes why not save that for after orientation? Logan simply shrugged at the thought, not honestly too bothered about it other than being impatient.

Despite the strong copper in his teeth, the scent alone was strikingly clear as it hung in the air. Many people have questioned his ability to train new werewolves and rangers alike. He's always had his reasons for everything he does with every breath he crooned. Anna's wolf struck a bite, charming her tongue with a newness. It was unfortunate that of all things, this had to be her first taste to experience her taste buds. The sheer fact that the female continued, and even seemed to be content with her first bite, Alpha couldn't stop the grin that slid over his muzzle, pushing his whiskers up in the act. As their paws thudded against the ground, it was impressive to observe how well Anna's wolf had taken two tasks at the same time - multi tasking the job of running and biting at the same time. With the idea of being accepted into the pack, and the idea of new experiences ahead of her, now was the best time for her to change. In fact, it's been planned ever since Anna discovered they were werewolves in her course of training to be a ranger. Every time Anna had been successful, Chief had given her praise, whether it was in the moment or after. He figured now was the best time to give her this moment.

Anna's wolf successfully slowed the fawn dramatically. The poor young doe swung its head back as the pain rippled through its tiny body, giving out a death curling scream. It wasn't a friendly sound obviously. That didn't seem to change the golden wolf's mind, it was almost as if the female next to him vowed herself to do everything in her power to impress the alpha. It worked. The female would hear the alpha's voice slip into her mind the moment she let go of the fawn, causing its little legs to stumble but the stubborn doe continued to run for its life. Its parents were much farther ahead of them.

Pack Bond

Thatta girl! I'll take the last one. You got it to slow down, good job.

It was in that moment, after his warning, that the black wolf lept from the ground. His four paws left the grass in such an impressive speed that he bolted towards the fawn. The golden wolf may or may not even hear his fur swoosh past her as if the alpha caught himself in the wind. Soon after, mid-air, the alpha glomped the fawn with his paws attempting to wrap around the neck like a hug. This successfully tackled down the poor doe, causing its legs to snap from beneath itself and plummet to the ground with a thunk. Alpha's fangs sunk into the neck as the body collapsed to the ground, its death nearing quickly. The moment the fawn's body crumpled against the ground underneath the large wolf, Alpha kept his teeth sunk in its neck. With a rough yank, he snapped its neck with a twist of his muzzle. After a few twitches, the fawn's body stilled, they would no longer hear its heartbeat. Its eyes seemed motionless as its colors only stared blankly at one spot. A moment passed, and the Alpha slipped his teeth from its neck, his tongue veered across his bloodied teeth in hopes to clean them off.

Closing his mouth, Alpha took a few steps back and off the fawn. To assure the young wolf next to her that he wasn't a killer, his red hues softened on the female and he sat down next to it. His eyes held sadness coupled with honor.

Pack Bond
Her life isn't quite over, little one. You've done your deed. She will rest with her ancestors in a happy place. Now we can fill our bellies, if you'd like. It's never good to waste a kill, you should never kill without a purpose. This purpose is to prove your worth that you can not only impress me but you understand the ways of our kind. It is your choice to eat, or we can dig its grave for it.

Alpha gazed at her hoping she would understand the importance of this very moment, rather proud of her efforts in proving herself to him. His eyebrows raised expectantly towards her, waiting patiently for her response.

Anna’s Wolf is forced to slow after that burst she used to attack, taking it down to a trot to try and catch her breath, still getting blood off of her teeth and muzzle. She’s glad to hear Alpha say he can handle the rest, because she doesn’t think her stamina will last.

She watches the dark wolf take down the fawn, trying to learn from the way he moves. She trots up beside him once it’s over, listening to him attentively, both ears facing forward toward him, tail waving slightly.

She takes a moment to process his words, and check in with her human counterpart. Anna was startled by his ferocity, but she knows that it’s still Chief. They went into this to make a kill, and even if it scared her a little, she knows that this is how the natural order works. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

Her Wolf smiles, pleased that her human gets it.
Pack Bond We understand, Alpha. Thank you. We would like to eat, Anna didn’t have any breakfast yet. We are very hungry.

Anna is mildly surprised that the deer is appetizing to her at all. The scent, and the taste of blood that still linger are just so intoxicating, she can’t wait to dig in.

Ren chuckled a bit before standing up to stretch. "Yeah apparently but the waiting isn't that bad Logan." he said then knelt down to grab the clipboard. Looking though it and seeing his name, signing his name and looking through the rest of the rangers list and seeing a name that he was finally able to put a scent to. "Anna." Ren said to himself, a human scent lingered on the clipboard but it was quickly fading. That must be the female wolf he picked up after he got to the campsite, but the scent of blood didn't hit his nose until after he mentally made the connection. "Ah so that's whose blood that was." He said, "Heh she's in good hands." Ren could tell that Logan was the impatient type of person, the kind that wanted to get things done and move on but all Ren could do was grin a little and make sure the blanket he brought didn't get dirty. If this new girl Anna was just turned than it was gonna be needed, because seeing a naked female after turning back into her human form is not a good look.

Words and questions bombarded the alpha's mind as the black wolf shared the fawn with his new female wolf. As the wolves shared the meat together, the meal was spent quietly as they filled their bellies. Meanwhile, Alpha took the time to survey his options, taking the next future steps one at a time very carefully. Teaching someone new has always been exciting but very nerve-racking at the same time. He always took the personality into accord, thinking of their future. The first thing she had done had proven to him how capable she can be as a member. She listened to him and obeyed to his every word. Willingly. She wasn't difficult and she was a fast learner. The shewolf probably has more questions in her mind than he probably does in his as they ate the young. Lifting up his head, the wolf shook his fur even though it wasn't wet. Alpha's paws hoisted up to his muzzle, his tongue wetting it to stroke the blood off his face. It was grooming time. It was completely up to the shewolf to take his actions into accord and copy him. Learn from him. Or she could mind her own business and do as she pleases. Regardless, it was a hint: he was finished with the meal.

Alpha didn't stop her if she was still hungry. There had been some meat left for her to consume if needed. Alpha sat on his two back paws. His tail swayed lazily back and forth as if it had a mind of its own. Much like a cat but more twitchy than that of a cat's tail. The black wolf's tongue helped the rest of his muzzle. By the time he was nearly finished, his voice carried over to the female's mind. It sounded relaxed, not quite bored, but seemingly content. It was very obvious, hopefully, that the words sounded carefully mapped out as his eyes drifted to her small frame.

Pack Bond
Little one. I know everything will be new to you. You're born into this life. You'll learn more than you'll ever dream of. Such as shifting, experiencing new senses like heightened hearing and smells. You'll be able to see in the dark now. You may find yourself feeling protective of certain things like your own belongings, our land, but before you do all of that I need to let you know: we need to take this one step at a time okay? I know you and your human are a fast learner. By the way you can keep eating if you're still hungry. But anyway. I know it might be too fast, but please - let me know if I'm pushing you too far. As much as I'd love to see how capable you are, we don't want rush you or feel obligated. Or pressured. Do you understand me, child.

In the back of his head, he was able to send a pack bond to his rangers without Anna nor her wolf hearing him. This pack bond message is specifically for his scheduled rangers waiting for him. He had a feeling that they were waiting for him by now. They more than likely figured out how to sign their own names on the clipboard at the campfire. He put it there for a reason. Another thought made the wolf's ear flicker as he remembered something: with the new wolf's personality, the pack was bound to either tease her for it, or help her. Hopefully the latter. He treated the pack bond much like a conversation they would have over the radios.

Pack Bond
This is Alpha reporting. What's your 10-20?

Hopefully they remember in their training what these codes mean over the radio and how they would respond. He already knew that the scheduled appointments are located at the firepit. However, one can never be too sure.

Anna’s wolf doesn’t stop eating, but her ears are turned to face him, to show she’s paying attention to him. This is her first meal, and she can’t get enough of it. The taste is just so amazing.

She listens attentively, raising her head to start trying to get blood off of her face.

Pack Bond Thank you. Anna and I are both confused, and she’s getting annoyed that she still can’t move. Should we head home now?

She asks, still trying to clean herself. It’s not going great, but it’s her first time. No surprise she doesn’t know how to get clean.

Logan watched as Ren reached for the clipboard to do the same thing he had with a both amused and surprised look, it seemed he might be rubbing off on the other Guardian. He had no doubt Chief wouldn't be too pleased that they'd signed the papers without the proper management there, and before he got to do his speech and welcoming. The Alpha was a stickler for tradition after-all. When Ren confirmed it was Anna who was out with Chief he couldn't help but turn away awkwardly. The young woman had been the one to see him shift during training. It wasn't his fault she decided to chase him into the woods and saw everything. Still he was slightly self-conscious about the whole ordeal. Not to mention responsible, especially now that she was taking the bite. Logan wasn't particularly fond of the idea that Chief had offered the young woman the chance to become a Werewolf, it felt well....uncomfortable frankly. But it was her decision in the end, and after spending a fair amount of time around the pack members here she seemed comfortable with the idea.

"What do you think about her joining us?" He'd asked non-too specific though it was likely clear he meant joining Werewolves in general. Logan couldn't help but be curious about someone else's opinion on the subject. Moments later he heard Alpha's message through the pack bonding, asking about their location. Whilst Chief's furrier half didn't sound particularly alarmed he couldn't help but get mildly anxious at the question. While normally one couldn't tell who received a pack message, he noted Ren's expression and knew the other Guardian had gotten it as well.

Pack Bond I'm at the fire-pit with Ren. How goes the babysitting?

The roar of the sports bike died down to a soft purr as Jen pulled over into the small paved parking space, this being the end of the line before she would have to trek the rest of the way on dirt road, knowing her bike wouldn't be able to handle the terrain.
The hum of the bike soon halted into silence once she switched off the engine, swiftly pulling off her helmet and swinging her legs off the bike as she disembarked. Jen then stuffed her keys into her jacket pocket and secured her hold on her backpack, her ranger uniform held safely inside as cargo as she soon set off towards her destination.
Considering herself as a rather athletic person, Jen soon started off into a run as she tried to make it there in good time, not bothering to walk the final mile as her long legs carried her across the dirt road with ease and quickened haste.
While Jen ran, she couldn't help but notice the serene and tranquil environment that currently engulfed her, the forest trees looming all around her like bastions of nature, tall and foreboding as they stood together in unified watch.
She also couldn't help but notice how quiet everything had become as well, soon the only sounds she could here was her breathing, a distant stream gurgling in the distance, a few birds and squirrels arguing in the trees, and her footsteps pounding across the ground.
Jen took a deep breath and inhaled the smells of the forest around her, the scent of pine and aspen filling her nose as she breathed, as well as the muffled sweet perfumes of wildflowers sprinkled here and there. The girl couldn't help but smile as she was reminded on how much she loved the wilderness, spending so long in the city can sometimes drown out the memories of nature, replacing it with visions of asphalt and the smell of intoxicating ozone. Though Jen never minded the big city, she was always welcome to the idea of spending some time away, back with her roots.
The forest always reminded her of her childhood, and perhaps that's why she ended up moving to the city...
Jen shook her head and suppressed the thought, not willing to end her positive thought train with a more negative one, though she then decided it would be best to shove all thoughts aside and just focus on the task at hand, and so she glared straight ahead and dug her heels into the dirt, sprinting for the campsite.

A few minutes later and slightly out of breath, Jen made it. The ranger campsite spread out before her beautifully, the evening Sun basking the landscape in a comforting orange hue, the trees that stood on guard around the area looked as if they were bathed in fire, the light of the Sun flickering across their leaves as they danced with the warm breeze that blew through the area, as gentle as a kiss. A couple sparrows chased each other across the open air, their wings fluttering happily as they played through the sky.
Jen adorned a delighted smile as her blue eyes drank in the scene; of all the times she's come here in the past, the sight of the area never got old for her, it always felt new to her each time she reigned in.
She took in one last deep breath before she sauntered down towards the campsite, already catching a glimpse of a couple figures that stood there.

Ren sighed as he thought on Logan's question. "Honestly?" He asked, "I think she will make a good addition. Though we will have to help her out for a while, you know being a 'newborn' is gonna be tough for her." Ren said as he stared into the fire pit, he could remember the first time he heard his wolf's voice as a kid and hearing/feeling the bones in his body crack and pop when he first turn into both his wolf form and Lycan form.

The first time was out of stress and his mother wasn't there to guide him through the change and hearing the kids at his school scream in terror after he turned. That's when he knew he had to protect himself and others that went through being bullied for being different. Japanese kids would fantasize about werewolves and other beings but they weren't quiet ready to have one of the friends an classmates suddenly turn into one.

Ren shook the memory away when his nose picked up another scent that was slowly approaching. "Welcome." Ren said to the tree line, he knew it was a female but wanted her to know that he knew she was coming. "Alpha is busy at the moment but should be back momentarily."

Watching the golden wolf carefully, the black wolf paid attention to her very intently. At the confirmation, Alpha frowned as the downward smile wrapped around his muzzle. Of course. He nodded firmly. She had every right to be confused. And she would not be judge for it. The wolf fidgeted the pads of his paws against the Earth when he was done grooming himself. Patience. Everyone always needed patience. It was very clear to him that the golden wolf carried patience on her shoulders, and honesty. He appreciated both of those traits greatly. After giving a firm nod, the red eyes looked away fromt he wolf, watching the surroundings that nature engulfed them with. The fawn had filled their bellies, and the golden wolf was already eager to return to the base. Which is where both Ren and Logan currently wait for him. Little did he know, Jen had joined them as well. He was completely unaware that they had already signed his clipboard. Which is good if they do, he needed to speak with his rangers about the reports that have been filed.

Which reminded him. He needed to inform Anna and her wolf a few things before they returned. First of which, she needed to know how things are run in the pack. She needed to know how, when, and where she should shift properly. It would help her in the long run. He knew most wolves had a difficult time shifting back and forth so soon from their former shift. In fact, he had to take into accord with the fact that she may take a while to shift back to her human form. Which might make things a bit difficult considering the fact that visitors could be at the station itself. On territory. He let out a huff. The black wolf now finally realized his faults with his timing. This was normal for him however, and he always hoped that every new member of the pack would adjust to the way things are run rather quickly. They'll learn eventually that everything happens for a reason, and Chief always has a reason for everything he does. After the thoughtful praise, Alpha turned his head to look back at the young wolf next to him. She hadn't cleaned herself off, it made him smile at that warmly. She'll learn these things soon enough but for now, grooming wasn't on his list of important things to learn.

Just as he was about to respond to the wolfess, a voice slipped into his head. It made his ear flicker and the black wolf turned his head in the direction of the base again. This voice belonged to Logan. A good gentlemen. The entire reason she had shifted in the first place. Had it not been for his lack of caution, she wouldn't have seen a werewolf for her first time. Deep down, he had a feeling that Logan's humor served as his defense mechanisms. He knew Logan had always been sarcastic, especially in training when something was rather difficult for the young man. "Hm." The black wolf hummed in thought, letting the shewolf know that she wasn't being ignored. He put everything into thought carefully. He wouldn't consider this babysitting, as Logan put it teasingly. He decided to respond to Logan first before responding to the shewolf next. There was an important lesson to be had. It was a good thing they were gathering at the firepit though. Alpha's voice was a tad deeper than Chief himself. He kindly informed Logan that he may be a big longer than intended. Hopefully the rangers will use their creativity to entertain themselves for the time being.
Pack Bond It goes. It may take longer than I thought. I apologize.

Turning his gaze to the new wolf, the red eyes were calm and subtle. The black wolf remained sitting next to her. Hopefully both Anna and the shewolf would understand the importance of his words as his voice slipped into her head once more.

Pack Bond Little one. I know it'll be very confusing at first. But I have full faith in you. Always have. Ever since Anna's first day in training. And here you are, a strong Ranger. And a new wolf. It'll take time and patience. I need you to understand first and foremost that there are certain things when it comes to shifting. And the reason for that is to protect our kind from humans. Humans these days can be fragile and cruel. They don't understand the ways of our lifestyle, they see us as demons or monsters. We need to be careful to avoid anyone seeing us at all times. I know you're new, and you may have impulses to shift, but the pack will be there to help you control those shifts if you're around humans. We can't go back to the base quite yet. If you can shift back to your human form when we get closer to the territory, then we can return home. Do I make myself clear, little one.

Anna’s wolf nods, her tail thumping on the ground a couple times. She isn’t overly happy about being constrained by human opinions, but she understands it might put the others in danger, and that’s more than enough reason for her to be very careful about who sees her. Anna is remembering the time she saw Logan shift, and completely gets it. That was fairly terrifying to just walk in on.

Pack Bond Yes, Alpha, both of us understand. It’s going to be hard, but I think I can be patient. Besides, Anna really wants her body back. She says she needs a shower.

Anna groans mentally that her Wolf mentioned that, but really, it’s pretty obvious why. Anna doesn’t know if shifting back will involve having a bloody face and throat, and having all of these burrs stuck in her hair. She would kind of like to not be a total mess when she goes back to the pack as a new member.

A gurgled laugh escaped him. The wolf slightly tilted his muzzle in the air as he beamed. He forgot how picky girls can be. The honesty from the shewolf was absolutely adorable, and he highly valued it. He wondered if it was still the same for Anna, but she chose to not voice these things and keep it in her head. After the bubbly laugh had died down, the wolf calmed himself with an added sigh. The sigh of content. He was glad to see the shewolf was so willing to accept the way things ran. Hopefully she can learn over time how to shift. Now that he knew she accepted the ways of their lifestyle, he decided it was time to begin the journey back home. They didn't stray too far from the base, but far enough to hunt a deer on their own. He gave her a firm nod and lifted his rear, now standing on all fours as his tail dragged behind him, relaxed. While his ears were pointedly alert, the wolf seemed at ease. He didn't forget the back that he can hear Anna's voice from the void. He didn't want Anna to think he was ignoring her, but he still has the mental note in the back of his head to talk to Anna about the void. He wanted her to know that he can hear her, but he needed this time alone with her wolf, dedicated attention. It was obvious his voice sang with laughter but he still sounded calm and ready.

Pack Bond Of course she does. The best way to shift is close to territory. That way you can easily have access to the Bath House. You'll shift in the trees close to that cabin. We'll make sure absolutely no humans would be looking in our direction. In fact, I'll make sure Logan and Ren are there to help you and they can get your uniform. Do you want to shift back or would you like to remain as a wolf and explore first? I know you had very little time in this form. But there will always be chances you can shif. I promise.

Jen emerged out of the shadow of the trees, entering the wide, grassy space of the fire pit. She gave a small nod towards Ren, indicating she had heard his statement, before making her way over to the fire pit.
A small clipboard lay on the warm grass of the field not too far from the fire pit itself, a small paper attached to it, the page fluttering slightly in the warm breeze.
Jen knelt on the ground beside the clipboard, knowing exactly what this was for; she took out a pen from the inside of her jacket and scribbled her name onto the paper, before setting it back down again. She decided to stay sitting on the grass as she waited for Chief to return, shrugging off her backpack and allowing it to rest at a place beside her, getting comfortable.
The warming Sun beamed down upon her as she waited in the exposed field, making her almost uncomfortably hot; Jen decided to remove her black jacket and tie it around her waist, wishing for a hat or shades, or anything, to protect her from the steadily rising heat.
"Damn, should've brought some sunscreen", Jen scolded herself, glancing at her now exposed arms, "Sometimes I forget how hot it can get here".
Despite the heat, Jen decided to just ignore her slight discomfort and be patient, waiting for the others to return.
