Lilly was lying in her bed. She had been awake for quite some time, in fact, she'd barely slept at all but she was used to it, she rarely had a 'decent night's sleep' and usually only got an hour or two but most of the time it hardly seemed to affect her during the day. Lilly sat up and peeked through the curtains beside the bed. The sky was still rather dark but it was much lighter than it had been when she last checked. Lilly silently crept out of her bed, despite the fact that she hardly needed to be quiet due to Daniel, with whom she shared a room, being deaf she still was, besides, if she's too loud she could wake someone else in the house up plus, most of the time she kinda forgot that her brother and mother were deaf, speaking with them came as naturally to her as speaking with anyone else did. Lilly lifted her pillow to expose a small collection of notebooks, each of which had an intricate hand-drawn design on its cover which had all been drawn by Lilly. Lilly picked up one of the notebooks before replacing the pillow. She silently crossed to room sitting down on the beanbag that was positioned beside the door. She winced as the beanbag rustled in response to her sitting on it. Due to how quiet the rest of the house was, the usual soft rustling of the beanbag was deafening to Lilly. She froze but, not hearing any movement, she carefully curled up, allowing herself to sink into the beanbag which was rustling much more quietly now. She opened the notebook in her hands and started to write in it. The front of the books cover had the number 11 drawn on it, numerous lines emerged from the number and embraced the book, the lines continued round the book to the back cover where they all fed into a picture of what appeared to be an anime-styled eye.

After a short while writing in the book, Lilly stood up careful to not make too much noise. She tucked the book back under her pillow along with her pencil. She crawled onto her bed to once again peer through the curtains. It was quite light outside now and wouldn't be long until the sun would start to peek out from beyond the horizon. Lilly once again slipped off her bunk. Lilly changed out of her pyjamas and into some casual clothes which consisted of a baby blue vest, a black jacket and a pair of jeans. She then retrieved her iPod from it's charging dock as well as the small, battery-powered speaker she had for it. She crept out of the room she shared with Dan, along the hallway and down the stairs, wincing slightly as one of the stairs groaned softly as she stepped on it. Lilly continued through the house and to the back door, she slipped on her trainers and quietly made her way into the garden. Once outside she walked to the furthest end of the garden, where she placed her iPod on its speaker and placed the speaker on the floor. She then turned the iPod on and started to play some music. She had done this many times before so she knew how loud she could push her iPod before it could be heard inside. Once the iPod was at the right volume, she turned around and took a deep breath...

((This is the design that the cover of the notebook was inspired by, just to give everyone a better idea of how it looked:
Modern_Synthesis_art.png The cover of the notebook was all done in pencil though.

And this is Lilly's iPod + its speaker:

In a shockingly rare occurrence, Dan was out like a light.

Typically, he barely slept a wink, and would already be up tearing through some old copy of Grey's Anatomy by now (or doing actual homework, if his parents were lucky), but while his younger sister got dressed and crept out of the room, he remained collapsed on his unmade bed, one rail-thin arm hanging off the side, tangled brown waves falling over his face... It was almost unsettling to see him this still.

He was still in his clothes from the previous day: A dark grey t-shirt and old, faded blue jeans, and only one of his socks was still on. Amusingly, he had set some pajamas clumsily folded at the edge of his bed, but apparently had neglected to change into them. That wasn't too out of the ordinary for little disheveled Dan, whose side of the room was usually strewn with books, personal projects, long-abandoned schoolwork and the occasional power tool.

Well, surely he would be awake soon enough. Sundays were a precious commodity among middle schoolers, and certainly not to be wasted...

Veronica unlocked the front door, and stepped into her house with a sigh. Last night was babysitting one of her frequent customers, and just decided to crash because they had gotten back around 3 am. It was an ordeal cause the kid was sick, and she wasn't really well equipped to deal with a sick child. But, who could argue with 120 bucks?

Silently she entered her shared room, careful not to make much voice as she stashed her cash, and got a change of clothes before heading off to the bathroom for a quick morning shower. It was 6:15 when she hoped out and changed, before she quickly snuck into the kitchen in search of breakfast.

One word to describe Aurelia this morning? Tired. Maybe confused. And done? Well, hell, why not all three? Yesterday, Aurelia planned on going clothes shopping, but a coworker fell ill and she had to jump in. On an event-day. Was it hell? Yeah. Too many drunks trying to flirt with her, only to get their ass kicked by someone sober. she is pretty much used to it by now. Druunk people crying about how they miss their ex and using Aurelia as a free therapist. The day was agonizingly long, even though it were about six hours. Started at 6pm and was done shortly after midnight. But, well, the event is over and now Aurelia-Miray is laying in her bed, just gazing at the wall.

Slowly, with the pace of a zombie with no limbs, Aurelia-Miray decided to stand up, rubbing her eyes and looking around the room in a tired fashion. The coworker better does a big favor when they meet next time...

5:30 AM

Riley Blue woke up to the sound of her phone alarm going off through her headphones. She groaned quietly, turned off the alarm, and got out of bed. She quietly went to the bathroom to shower, change in to leggings and a loose fitting grey teeshirt, and put her hair up in a tight ponytail. Then she went down to the basement and stretched. She had to keep herself as flexible as possible for dance and for her next show. Whatever that was going to be. She had auditions soon but nothing until next week. Which meant she had to diet hard this week and practice whenever she wasn't with the younger kids or doing her mountains of homework for school. So here she was, up before the sun, stretching.

After stretching for twenty minutes, Riley Blue rehearsed her three monologues: dramatic, comedic, and classical. Then she did 35 push-ups and 50 sit-ups and called it a morning. She went upstairs to see her baby sister sneaking in to the garden. Riley laughed. It was almost 6:10 now. Riley went in to the kitchen and pulled out some pancake mix and bacon. Certainly Dan would be awake soon, and so would the rest of the house. And certainly, they would all be hungry. So she started up the stove top and started making the pancakes. Then Veronica came in to the kitchen.

"Good morning, Veronica." Riley said quietly as she started the bacon as well. "How was babysitting?"

Anthony was not a morning person at all, After the show he played last night. He was really beat, It didn't help that he was also a night owl. He completely forgot what day it was. He grabbed onto the handles of his chair to help himself up. He was dressed in what he had on last night. A Ramones T-shirt, Gray Jeans & classic All-star converse sneakers. He picked up each leg one at a time & moved them over to the side of the bed. Turning his chair over at an angle towards him, he lifted himself up using the chair & slid himself onto the seat. He switched out the Ramones shirt for a Radiohead shirt and wheeled himself out the room into the kitchen. "Morning All." he said groggily. He already took a shower when he got home, So he was fine.

"Oh hey Riley," Veronica said, pulling the oargane juice out of the refrigerator, sitting it on the counter before going about the search for her favorite cup. A prize from an inline photo contest she won like, two years. It was a Bigfoot cup, so why wouldn't she want it? "Babysittibg was fine. Hope i dont get sick though, the kid has a cold," she said, grabbing her cup from the dishwasher, she began pouring herself some juice as Anthonty entered. "Hey, want some juice?" She asked him, glancing over her shoulder to Riley as well, "You want any?" TF81 TF81 Mad_Hatter Mad_Hatter

Anthony still half-awake, heard a familiar voice welcome him into the kitchen as he entered. It was his twin sister Veronica. He was rubbing one of his eyes with one open. His mind was still reeling from last night. Nonchalantly, he accepted Veronica's offer for some juice without fully grasping it. "Huh? Oh yeah...sure." He said tiredly as he yawned & wheeled up to the table.

Song Currently Playing on Lilly's iPod:

Lilly yelped as an explosion erupted behind her, she was caught in the blast and sent tumbling down the side of the snowy mountain that she had, until moments ago, been standing on top of. When she eventually stopped falling, Lilly lay unmoving on the ground for a moment, a pained groan escaping from her lips. She slowly managed to pick herself up off the ground, she half-heartedly tried to brush clumps of snow from her clothes before turning to look up the side of the mountain that she'd just fallen down. There was a large group of people charging down the mountainside towards her, a detail that took her a moment to notice but the moment she did, she spun around and sprinted away from them as fast as she could. Lilly glanced behind herself before suddenly stopping dead. The people who were chasing her were still a fair distance behind her but many of them seemed to be carrying bows, something that was made evident by the volley of arrows that was moments away from landing right on top of her. Without hesitation, Lilly stretched her arms out in front of her which caused a shockwave to soar into the sky. Upon intercepting the shockwave, the arrows shattered into millions of tiny wooden splinters. Lilly lowered her arms and continued to run. She made her way towards a nearby forest, darting through the trees, ducking under branches and leaping over roots. Eventually, Lilly slowed down, stopping to catch her breath. She glanced through the trees behind her, there wasn't any sign of anyone. Maybe she'd lost them. Just as she was about to breathe a sigh of relief she heard a twig snap nearby. She turned as quickly as humanly possible to look in the direction of the sound, as she did, she saw a figure dressed in dark clothes approach her. "You're good." He said, acting impressed. "But did you really think you were good enough?" He asked rhetorically with an evil grin plastered on his face. He drew a sword that was sheathed at his waist and charged towards Lilly without warning. Lilly raised her hand into the sky before quickly moving it in front of her. The man's sword was stopped by one Lilly now had in her hand, unlike a normal sword, Lilly's didn't appear to be made of metal, instead, Lilly sword was purple in colour and appeared to be slightly transparent. The man growled in frustration and shoved into Lilly, causing her to fall onto the floor.

Lilly fell backwards onto the floor, the stick she was holding in her hand rolled across the grass, landing a few feet away from her. She crawled over to where her stick had landed and picked it up before leaping onto her feet. Her eyes seemed to be fixated on something in front of her though there was nothing there. She danced around the garden, wildly waving her stick around as she did. She remained completely oblivious to what was going on inside.

Riley Blue finished a set of three pancakes and plated them. She started another batch of three as Anthony wheeled in. "No, thank you. I don't drink anything high in sugar or artificially flavored. It's not good for you." Riley Blue mumbled as she added more bacon to the other pan. "Would you two mind watching the food for a moment? I have to go get our little one out of the cold." Riley Blue set down her spatula and ran outside to see Lilly spinning around with a stick. Riley Blue laughed quietly. "Lilly. Lilly, come on inside, you're going to get yourself a nasty cold out here." Riley called quietly.

"Doesn't mom buy all natural stuff?" Veronica asked, yet, she made no effort to check. Riley was little weird, but hey, did it really matter? Grabbing another cup from the dishwasher for Anthony, pouring him some orange juice too, before sticking it back in the fridge. Walking over to the table with Anthony's cup, she set it down infront of him, before quickly walking back over to the stove to babysit the food.

The sound of her name being called made Lilly jump a little as she was suddenly brought back to reality, she looked in the direction the voice came from to see Riley Blue coming out of the house. She smiled when she saw her sister, letting go of the stick in her hand and letting it fall to the ground. Due to having been running around for quite some time, Lilly hadn't really noticed the cold but now that she was being asked to go inside she noticed that she had dragon breath. She grabbed her iPod, turning it off and moving to pick up her jacket which she'd taken off a short while before due to being too warm, before making her way over to her sister. "Morning." She said chirpily, looking up at her older sister, her face was flushed from the harsh contrast between how cold it was outside and how warm she was from having been running around.

Riley smiled at Lilly as she came back towards the house. Lilly was quite young for a ten year old, usually little girls her age had developed an attitude problem. Riley did when she was ten. She thought she was simply the best actress in the face of the earth. Now she thought she was one of the worst. Funny how age makes you more insecure and not less. “Good morning, Lilly.” Riley said softly as she opened the door for Lilly. “You’re up early today. Did you sleep okay?”

How long did it take Aurelia to pick clothes? Solid twenty minutes, probably. Twenty minutes to decide that she'll wear a lame white shirt with even lamer, beige colored pants. She looks like she's about to hit up her god damn therapist and pour her heart out to him. Well. Probably. she rarely wears basic clothes, she often wears goth-fashioned clothes. But, as there is nothing planned for today, she decided to rock the lamest outfit ever. Rock, put that in quotes please. After wondering why her fashion sense on sunday is god awful, Aurelia made her way into the kitchen, on the way there deciding what to eat. Or what to do. Are there any events today...?

Lilly pondered on Riley’s question for a moment. She hadn’t really slep at all, but what little sleep she did get had been good. “Yeah thanks,” she said with a smile, “did you?” She asked in return. As Lilly walked into the house she felt like she was walking into an oven, as she’d gotten used to the temperature outside and had been running around a lot inside was way too hot for her, though she’d probably cool down soon enough. When she was inside she waited for Riley Blue to follow her in before walking further into the house.

6:26 am

Lewis had been awake for a short time, having heard some movement about the house. He'd remained in bed with his eyes tightly closed as he willed himself to return to his much-needed slumber. If there was one thing he enjoyed most about Sundays, it was the extra sleep. He worked long shifts throughout the week, with early starts to add to it. It always surprised him how much energy some of the kids had so early in the morning. He remembered entering his teenage years and having to be dragged out of bed before noon approached. Right now, he was far too comfortable to get out of bed, at least without encouragement to do so. He was sure the kids were smart enough to avoid burning the house down in his absence.

Turning his head to the side, he opened his eyes to see if Julia was awake yet. The answer to that might be a deciding factor in whether he just closed his eyes again and prayed for at least another hour's rest. Work had been full on the last few days and he was willing to allow himself to be at least a little lazy today, despite is usual insistence on not wasting time and taking the world for all it had to offer. He shuffled closer to his wife and opened his mouth widely for a powerful yawn.

Feeling her husband shift by her side was enough to rouse Julia from an unusually good night's sleep. Being only March, the sun had yet to come up -- it felt at bit odd to be awake at this hour, but the small digital clock by the side of their bed confirmed that it was probably a good idea to get a move on. Goodness knows, some her kids had inherited a mysterious early riser gene. It was hard to tell from their room upstairs, but it looked like the kids had turned a few of the lights on.

She pulled herself upright in bed, gently nudging Lewis's arm. He was awake, of course, but it was habit at this point. She waved cheerily, her other hand rubbing her eyes briefly. 'Hey...'

Riley Blue shrugged at Lilly’s question. "Same as always, I suppose." Riley Blue replied. She lead her little sister to the kitchen and took over breakfast once more. "Thanks, Veronica, I got it," Riley mumbled as she took up the spatula and finished off another set of pancakes. She gave the set that just came off the pan to Lilly and then grabbed the first plate she made. "I'm gonna wake up Dan. Lil, why don't you get some orange juice and settle down at the table?" Riley said as she made a glass of cold water to dump on Dan's face if the smell of pancakes and bacon failed to wake him.

Riley Blue then went upstairs to Dan's room. Usually, Dan was the first awake. Him sleeping in was rather unusual. Riley entered Dan's room quietly. "Hey Daniel? Breakfast is ready." Riley Blue called lightly, approaching the bed.

Evidently, Dan didn't hear his sister enter the room or call up at him. In fact, one might say her words fell on deaf ears.

Nevertheless, Dan's other senses slowly dragged him out of unconsciousness, seemingly much to the boy's dismay. What was even going on? What time was it? The room was a blurry mess... was that 4 hours of sleep or a 10 week coma? He couldn't help but wonder what kinds of valuable information could be lost in that amount of limited alertness.

With a roll of his eyes, Daniel lethargically dragged himself upright to look over the edge of the top bunk rail. His eyes seemed to light up a bit. Exhausted as he was, there was never a time he wasn't glad to see Riley Blue -- and similarly, there was never a time he wasn't glad to see pancakes. Rummaging through his jumbled brain to try and find some words to communicate that he'd be down as soon as possible, he took a long pause before clumsily propping himself on his elbow to sign 'One minute'... though honestly the time pressure of that phrase was kind of daunting... well, pancakes would get him through this if nothing else.

"Oh shush you, the grind never ends," Veronica chuckled, trading off with Riley when she came back, going about pouring more orange juice. Only after she drank her own of course, she grabbed a few more various cups, filling them and setting the down at the table so everyone could have their pick, before she picked up her phone from the counter. There were over a dozen Twitter notifications, a few from Instagram and Twitch, two from her patreon, and a claender reminder for her stream later that day. Pretty standard, it was nice to have a light day as normally she was pretty busy. Her dad didn't seem to like the fact it was her job to sit on her ads and play videos games, but hey, she didn't care. Looking to Anthony, she asked, "Hey What game should I stream later?"

Anthony chuckled along with Veronica & quickly covered his mouth with his hand when she told him to shush, acting like he said something incredibly offensive. He finished the remainder of his orange juice & moved the cup aside, Anthony thought about Veronica's question about which game she should play for her stream. "Hmmm.....Grand Theft Auto 5. that is, if you can get away with it without Dad knowing." Anthony stated. Their dad, even though he was pretty chill about alot of things, He didn't really like Anthony or any of the other kids spending excessive amounts of time playing video games. Anthony saw where he was coming from. Gaming Addiction is a problem, after all.

Riley Blue smiled at Dan's lethargy and set the pancakes down on the floor. "Good morning," Riley Blue signed at her brother. "I'll keep your food downstairs, you can come down to eat." She gave him a smile before picking the plate up and going back downstairs. She set the plate on the table before looking over at her older two siblings. They were talking about Veronica's Twitch stream and Riley couldn't help but sigh. "Dad won't be happy." Riley interjected as she washed her hands in the sink. "You know how he feels about video games, especially violent ones like GTA."

Feeling Julia's nudge, Lewis looked to his wife and smiled as she waved to him with more energy than he felt he had in that moment. "Good morning, love," he said, making sure the words could be easily read from his lips. He forced himself to sit upright in bed but was still having to make himself to come to terms with it being morning already. It was a shame the kids hadn't wanted a sleep-in as he could have easily closed is eyes and gone in for more sleep.

"What do we have planned for today?" he asked Julia, signing with his hands as he spoke. He was often full of ideas, but today he felt like going with the flow. As long as that flow didn't involve sitting in front of a television screen all day. "Work must have been busier than I realised this week. I'm whacked," he admitted, with a small chuckle. He wasn't used to feeling so lethargic, but he knew once he mustered up the energy to get out of bed there'd be no stopping him. But still, only just past 6am... on a Sunday... even he was shocked by the eagerness of the kids.
