redemption
so recently i have been recieving surges of inspiration all over the place, from watching Ready Player one, to having my older brother tell me one of his story ideas, and all that just conjoined into me wanting to make a roleplay
my first attempt at making something plot driven failed, so now i decided that i want to try to make something better
buuuut at the same time i have been really torn between two ideas, which i shall now explain
1) hopeless lonely star system
star b-612, a beautiful bright ball of light surrounded by planets teeming with life
large and luminous it has captivated many life forms to start living around it.
but of course that is not the only reason, it never is. this also happens to be the last star in the current cosmos that all discovered life forms know about. every other star system has been swallowed up by the endless ever consuming void of space.
this is going to be a roleplay about a team of researchers trying to figure out a way out of death's grip as they are fated to deal with the same problem every other star in the universe had to deal with. the themes would be space, nihilism, death, and over all melancholy of life.
i would like a diverse set of characters, preferably some aliens as well, but honestly this is up to people who want to roleplay it, if we get an all human team it will probably be fine as well.
2) tetris academy
set in the year 2076, with the rise of virtual reality in 2031, video games and gamers are at an all time high.
and in this all stands the single most technologically advanced school, tetris academy. a high school mixed with a college, it is known as the gamer school, for having their vr gaming courses to be their main strongsuit.
people who study here aren't your average run of the mill virtual reality gamers, they are the best of the best, training to soon be professionals.
esports hold some of the most well payed people in the world, and in this cut throat industry, most children are going to be pushing each other for a chance to win the esports tournament hosted by the school annually to decide the next generation of Team Tetris!!!
the themes of this roleplay will be much like a standard shounen manga, with students we recieve being seperated into teams. your student can either participate in the competition or not, that is up to you, but honestly at the scale i want to make this roleplay i would probably have to wait to get 250 in order to apply to a hosted project, since this is an idea very near and dear to my heart.
