Just A Fucking Mess
Sanity it is a thing beyond our grasp. An illusion. What does it mean to be sane? What does it mean to harness this control of self? The voices that laugh at us, curse us and utter their disgusts..they claim sanity. Yet they won't share it with us. For we are the children created in sin, birthed into deceit and hate. We are cursed for their downfall but we can't escape the label that they have ironed upon us; nor can we escape the cage that they've thrown us into.

A school. It is an academy of lies, a prison. Into Alcatraz for the unreasonable. Insane. For we are unnecessary and unclean. We must be separated..

Children of abuse, forced into this mental instability they had no choice. Their maulable young minds tainted by the memories of childhood. Fun. What was fun? Was fun when duct-tape tore sensitive lips? Was it to feel icy water hitting your naked body as you were treated like no more than a mangy cur that needed to be broken? What was it love that demanded that her child be burned so that she wouldn't have to live with her own mistake? Circumstances molded them into the unstable beings that they are.

Children with powers that make others fear. Powers that make others lock them away so they are unable to catch their self proclaimed disease of insanity. Powers to control the uncontrollable.

Society has definitions. A herd of sheep that casted out newborn wolves.

Now these people, these children, are forced away from society. The rules are simple. Obey. To do so is to live. Those that break it..will then break themselves. The words "special" and "gift" glaze the truth.

Here in Montana lies the modern Alcatraz, our cage.
Welcome...to our hell.

Set far out in the woods of Montana, stood two large brick buildings along with a smaller brick building. The land also held a track, a tennis court, and basketball court, the latter of the three newer and more up to date. A trip into the older brick building brought you to the dorms, the inside having been updated and modified to have just the basic of amenities. Each room held a bed, a closet, a three drawer dresser, a lamp, and a desk. The bathrooms, two on each of the three floors, held a tub/shower, a toilet and a sink. The main floor held the kitchen, dining room, and a living room the doubled as a small library. There were no tvs, laptops, or video games permitted. There was a small portable radio on each of the floors that held a disc drive, so the ability to listen to music was not lost. The kitchen was on the larger side due to the size of the building and the ability to hold many students, but after the school went from a regular boarding school to one for students with more extreme circumstances, the staff was eliminated down to one per floor. Theses people would make food for the other students but most of the time the students prepared their own meals, cases depending of course. The dining room held three large tables with the ability to hold more but again due to the change in students tables were removed and replaced with more bookshelves of books, board games and puzzles.

The other large brick build held all of the classes and offices. The main floor held the auditorium, where all meetings and rallies where held. This floor also held an old gym, before renovations where made, along with the Dean's office, Nurse's office and the teacher's offices. The final, smaller building was the new renovated gym. This gym held showers, a locker room and a storage room. The storage held all the equipment for each sport played.

Leading from these buildings was a long road where trees arched over, shadowing the road when full of leaves. This road ran out into the main road, taking one to town. The only indication of anything to keep the children held at the school was the gate and fence that ended up disappearing into the trees the surrounded the land, while on the campus closes to the buildings there were no fences in sight, but that did not mean they were not there.

Dr. Howard flipped through the record book of new students entering into the school this year. He pushed his glasses up his nose gently and leaned back into his chair. Being the Dean, he received all information possible, and it was a good hall this time around. To him, this school was seen as a haven to families and parents who needed a place to turn to when things got rough with children. The school was a place to send children who no longer had families, or those who had no family from the start. Those with powers no one could explain, no one could comprehend and no one could control. He stood and walked to the window, he reflection showing lightly in the glass. Clasping his hands behind his back, he sighed. "It's the start of a new year. New prospects, new extremes, and new children." He looked back down as a car pulled up to the school. "Let's begin shall we?"

Benjamin
Benny sighed loudly for the seventh time in a row. He let it draw out as long as he could before he lost his breath. He was bored.

Ben had woken up extra early to the sound of a raging thunder storm. Of course the weather he was hearing wasn't actually from
here. But that didn't make it any less loud to him. He sighed again, earning an annoyed look from a passing adult, people were still mad
about the whole fish incident.

He was currently seated on the floor in the middle of the hallway. Someone might say he was sulking, but he didn't care. He was not in the mood to act
his age. Besides, he was in the spot for a reason. It was almost time for a glitch to happen, and it always did happen, right here in the hallway. Everyday,
same time, without fail. He discovered it during his first year here.

The only downside was that is was right in the middle of the building that held all the adults currently. He turned his head and stared at
the door to the nurses office. He had to lie to stay in the building, otherwise Nurse Tilly would kick him out for being a nuisance and danger
hazard. He turned back to stare at the floor in front of him.
"One point for Benji, no points for the nurse." He whispered to himself. No one had caught on yet at what he did here in the morning.
He wasn't here that often, but when he was he seemed to be lucky enough that no one seen. One of the teachers almost found out. But the item
he gathers here looks so inconspicuous, that they didn't even bat an eye when they turned the corner and found Ben holding onto a hand-sized
origami crane. For some reason, this spot in another universe (dimension? Benny still wasn't entirely sure) always had a huge paper crane. It was
never made with the same pattern, but always was a crane. He had six in his room currently, and felt the need for a seventh. Seven was supposedly
a magic number.

He looked back over at the nurse's door, and glanced to the clock. 10 seconds left, he turned back around once more and got his
hands ready. He could feel the pull of their dimension, where it was being ripped, and a hole the size of a small child appeared. It was always a
little darker on the other side, he could see the red carpet, and on it lay the crane. He spared not a second to stick his right hand through the rip to
grab it. Whenever he passed to another side, which was more often than he let on, whatever body parts were being used would grow cold. So cold he
almost couldn't stand it. As soon as the paper was in his grasp he pulled his hands back. And the hole closed immediately. He often wondered what
would happen if he left his arm in too long and let it close on him, but he was too much of a chickenshit to try it. He looked down at the crane.
"Blue," he stated thoughtfully, "blue is a sad color, don't you think?" He asked out loud, not expecting an answer.

Benny stood up off the ground and padded his way barefoot towards the door, paper crane in hand. He wondered if he could bribe another kid to
make his breakfast again. He knew how to get food they weren't suppose to have, and everyone loved to bend the rules for sweets, and other
confections to rot their teeth. He was lost in thought for a second before he heard a car pull up to the building. Holy shit holy shit holy shit holy sh-
Now he was way too curious for breakfast. He walked back to near the nurses office, if he was found strayed too far they would probably kick him out for sure before he could see the newbies. He plunked himself back to the floor, this time sitting right next to the nurses door. Hell Yeah.

Sasha was sitting in the car humming a creepy melody his father used to sing whenever they were going somewhere (of course he had no idea it was creepy) and smiled as he saw so many new things through the window.

"would you stop it with the creepy tune kid? Man I'm gonna have nightmares after this, first he does some freaky shit and makes half the police guys pass out and now this. I can't wait for this drop off to be over" said the man sitting next to the driver and made Sasha curious enough to use his power and take a look at the man's mind.

"Oh my your just naughty aren't you?" he said and giggled once he was back and out of the man's head, he couldn't help but giggle again before putting a lollipop into his mouth that he had sneaked out of a police mans pocket before he was dragged into the car.

"Oh look! It's such a big building!" he exclaimed excited before leaning even closer to the window. "That is gonna be your new home from now on" said the guy that had been driving the car in silence so far making Sasha look at him in surprise "no way! I get to live in such a huge building? It's far bigger than the small house I was living in with father!" he said and almost bounced in his seat but then restrained himself so he wouldn't hit his head.

Both men rolled their eyes, not feeling like explaining everything to him and stopped in front of the building so they could get the kid out and into the school.

Dr.Stein stared out the window at the rising sun. He sighed as he prepared for a long day. His flat was a mess, chronically so. He kicked plastic bags out of the way as he made his way to his desk. He made a note to himself that he should probably clean a little soon, but in his mind the mess kept people from messing with his place, an advantage as he kept some pretty important papers here. Unlocking his desk drawer, he sifted through a mess of papers, pulling the relevant files. His job here was to find the connection between the brain and these strange powers, if there was one. As a side job, he would sometimes have to help the 'students' here with their issues. His first order of business was to meet with the dean to learn about the incoming students, so he can be prepared to examine them. After getting the files he needed, Dr.Stein donned a charcoal three piece suit. Checking himself in the mirror, he straightened his tie and went out the door. His flat was on campus so it was not too much of a hassle getting to the Dean's office. He knocked sharply on the door and waited to be called in. He could already hear a car pulling in, Great, someone always has to be early.

Break

Break walked quietly through the halls of the school building, humming a soft tune. There were to be new arrivals today and he wasn't to happy about it, but it needed to be. There where just to many like him. He figured with his powers being what they were, there had to be others with similar or even those completely different. Not that they frightened him, he just found it all so fascinating. Dr. Howard sure knew how to bring them all together. The man was the only person left alive that frightened him in the slightest. There was just something about the older man that Break couldn't put his finger on, but he just knew to not trust the man.

Coming into the main hall, near the Nurse's office, he caught sight of Benny with a paper crane. He wasn't sure what the boy's thing was with paper cranes. But hey, to each their own. No one asked him about his cats. That is, he didn't even know the others around knew about the cats anyway. His ears picked up the sound of a car approaching, and he shook his head sighing softly. He smirked softly, walking up to the boy. "Paper cranes burn beautifully." He spoke to the boy, raising his hand just itching to snap his fingers to set said crane on fire, but knowing he wouldn't. He hated everyone, but that didn't mean the boy deserved his crane to be burned.

Dr. Howard

Dr. Howard heard the sound of a knock on his door. He already knew who it was, but that didn't mean he could just be silent. His eyes ran over he desk, from his computer to his record book. The boy who arrived early was already getting to the two men. He walked back over and sat down in his chair. Opening his bottom left desk drawer, pulling out an old picture. "Clarissa... It's the start of another new year. Another year without you, Jason and darling little Paige...." The older man whispered. "What are you talking about, Ian? I'm right here. I've always been here." A woman walked up to Dr. Howard. Touching his hand, she got down to his level and looked into his eyes. "Jason and Paige are in school and you asked me to join you for lunch, remember?" The woman's voice began to fade. Dr. Howard cleared his throat. He was slipping again. "Come in, Stein." He needed to get this over with before he went to far away.

Benjamin

Ben squinted his eyes suspiciously, and looked up at the other boy. Before he could stop himself he blurted loudly,
"How about you keep your fire away from my shit, and I wont give you a swift kick to the nuts." Followed closely by "Oh crap."
As the door to the nurses office opened and Nurse Tilly stepped out. She looked at the both of them while placing her hands on

her hips, and gave them an exasperated look. "Boys. What have I told you two about threatening others?". Benny couldn't help himself,
without a beat he stood up abruptly and faced her.

"I think you're confused, we weren't threatening each other. We were having a very pleasant, and
civil conversation. In fact," he shot Break a cheeky grin before turning back, "Xerxes and I are practically best friends, I am shocked," he
raised his crane wielding hand and pointed the beak in the nurses direction, "No, even worse, I am appalled that you would think we
would ever treat each other with such disrespect." Nurse Tilly started tapping her foot, and gave him an unimpressed look. He had to change
tactics, she was too smart for this ruse. Abort the mission Soldier! There is no winning this war, you must disengage! FALL BACK. He put on his best
horrified look and pointed to the spot behind the nurse.

"WHAT IN GODS GOOD NAME IS THAT?!" He practically screeched, and when Nurse Tilly turned around frantically he took
the moment to start running, crane in hand. He headed for the door that lead out to the dorm building, not looking to see if the other boy
was following. It didn't matter, the one who got caught first was the loser. He reached the door in record time, and before he knew it
his bare feet hit the grass. He laughed loudly, before yelling breathlessly "Two points for Benji, and zip for the nurse!" Was it all
worth it?Yes. No doubt about it. He kept running, towards the back of the dorm building, and only stopped after rounding the corner.
He collapsed onto the ground ungracefully and took in huge breaths. Oh yeah, I forgot about breakfast.

Julian

The air was light as it hit Julians face making their hair sway slightly. the sky was a light grey as the white shiny car drove up to the institution. they made no sound as they sighed their hand pressed against their cheek, Julian stared out the open window of the car taking in the sights. they thought back on the incident which landed them into this position they never thought they would amount to much of anything being as small and weak as they are. Julian takes a deep breath feeling tired and unmotivated "I'm so tired" they whispered to themselves. "you can sleep after you settle in" the unknown named doctor spoke flashing a kind smile, Julian closed their heavy eyes. Julian needs regular blood transfusions as they are extremely anemic. doctor accompanying them has come to speak with another doctor to take over the blood transfusion tasks. Bringing along Julians file, the information from the last three years this particular nuisance of a doctor had been in charge of them.

the car parked skillfully and Julian stepped out looking around soundly. The doctor of no importance placed his hand in the middle of Julians back leading them to the front entrance where a kind looking women stood. Julian held their shoulders arms crossed their chest.
"hello young one i'm nurse tilly and ill be escorting you to your room its a pleasure to meet you"

Julian opened their mouth to respond but was cut off by the irrelevant doctor.

"young one? Julian is a year away from being an adult they may be seventeen but that's rather close to be considered a young one as you say. Julian has been becoming harder to control as time has gone on and we've finally decided to transfer them here."

"you SHOULD have brought them here when you noticed it was out of your hands, as for the young one, most everyone here is younger than I thus making them a young one besides i don't care about age just the well being of the students in this establishment"

the useless doctor stood dumbfounded and unsure on what to say.

"the office is that way" Tilly pointed in a general direction without giving any details taking Julian into her care and leading her away through the main building. As the nurse walked she noticed the deep bruises on the legs of Julian, taking the route to the Nurses office.

Nurse Tilly
Tilly huffed, she was livid. First the whole fiasco with the boys (which ended very quickly when Benjamin ran, Break wasn't at fault this time),
now this. The doctor accompanying the new addition to the school was a fool. An absolute dunce. Not only had he endangered Julian, he had also
endangered all those around the poor child. Three years being cared for by people who had no idea as to what they were doing. And they obviously hadn't
taken very good care of her...? Him? (She couldn't exactly tell the gender of Julian. They were very... androgynous.) The bruises were worrisome, but
hopefully a quick checkup could help put things into perspective.

"Ah, just right here!" She slowed her pace, and allowed Julian to take in their surroundings. New places could be daunting. She opened
the door to the nurses office, and motioned for Julian to enter. "I'm just going to check your vitals," She smiled warmly. "And ask some
questions as well. I just want to make sure you're okay." She noted the closed off stance, and didn't wish to frighten then, nor push too hard.
They didn't know exactly how to treat this patient. It would be like walking on eggshells until she gave the files to Dean Howard. Which
would be right after this. "I promise it will only take 10 minutes." She closed the door as the other entered, and started the entry checkup.

A police cruiser pulled up outside the institution of Alcatraz, inside Oliver sat hunched, sobbing as quietly as he could into his hands. This wasn't supposed to happen, all his life he was good and now, in the span of less than a month his entire life was flipped. He looked out the window and let out a ragged breath, turning to the officer in the driver's seat.

"Please, it wasn't on purpose! Tommy said if I didn't do it he'd beat me up again!"

The officer lets out a heavy sigh and gets out of the vehicle, not even bothering to reply to Oliver's pleas. He comes around to open the door, helping Oliver out. Oliver stares down at the cuffs on his wrists and struggles to wipe the tears from his ruddy cheeks. The officer can't help but feel some sort of sympathy for the kid and he gives him a gentle pat on the back.

"C'mon a kid as big as you shouldn't be crying this much."

Oliver nods. "I-I know I just... I am so sorry, I didn't want to kill him. I was just... just doing what I was t-told."

The officer sighs once more, lighting a cigarette as he waits for whoever is meant to takeover. "God if I'd known I was gonna be a baby sitter for a bunch of freaks I would've joined the army instead."

Oliver tries to steady himself, looking around at the imposing facility that will soon be his new home. The officer puts out his cigarette and walks over to the other police cruiser and knocks on the window with a knuckle.

"Good morning officers, how's your day going?" He begins once the window scrolls down.

A gust of wind blows past them and Oliver shudders, wishing he had been wearing a hoodie when the police picked him up from school. He felt the tears well up in his eyes again just remembering how his peers had whispered and the disappointed look he got from the faculty.

As the car rolled to a stop Sasha jumped out of it and took a deep breath of fresh air only to be grabbed by his escort "where the hell do you think you're going?" said the man and made Sasha roll his eyes before looking at him funny "where do you think I was going? That car ride was so long and boring and that's coming from someone who had been living in a basement most of his life. The only interesting thing during the ride was seeing what goes on in your mind" he said and chuckled at the man as his face started to turn white. Sasha giggled and shook his head before looking at the building again.

"I bet father would have loved to live in such a huge place, he always said if he wouldn't have to watch me all day he could have moved to a better place by now. I wonder what the people here are like" he said and started humming his father's tune again as he started thinking of him. Sure at the beginning when his father took him, there had been a lot of pain but he had gotten used to it and his father started treating him better when he stopped acting up and turned fifteen so lately things hadn't been that bad.

"Oh for crying out loud would you stop it? You could fit right into a horror movie with your creepy behavior" said the man again as he started leading him towards the door "me creepy? But your the one that secretly sleeps with..." before he could finish the man slapped him and Sasha chuckled "was that supposed to hurt? if so then you have to work on your strength and technique a bit more" he giggled and half walked, half danced alongside the man.

The driver had stayed inside the car since they both knew Sasha was too distracted by everything around him to try and escape. The man led Sasha up a small set of stairs and towards the entrance of the building before entering and looking for a professor or doctor to hand the kid over. The man just wanted out of there as soon as possible.

Kitsune was asleep in the back seat of a police car heading towards an institution called Alcatraz. The officers had to sedate her and put her in a straight jacket because they couldn't quite handle her by themselves. Kira, her demented personality, kept telling her that the police were going to lock her away by herself and never come back. Soon enough, she started waking up just as the car pulled up to the institute. The car stopped and the police officers came around to her side of the car, opened the door, and drug her out forcefully. Kitty was dragging her feet mostly because she still had some of the sedative in her system and also because she just didn't want to be here. She had no idea what to expect. Upon entering the big brick building, she was being led to the deans office. Kitsune had a look around as she was being tugged along and was actually surprised how it looked. The two officers knocked on the door to the office and just walked in bringing Kitsune with. "Here's Kitsune Phoenix, don't remove the jacket unless she's being supervised. The damn freak took out 3 of our best men before we were able to knock her out. She's you're problem." One of the men said in disgust. The other just shoved her to ground and both walked out leaving Kitsune behind. She ended up falling to her side but was able to sit up and crossed her legs, just staring at the man in front of her, trying to figure him and this place out.

Dr. Howard heard the sound of a knock on his door. He already knew who it was, but that didn't mean he could just be silent. His eyes ran over he desk, from his computer to his record book. The woman's voice began to fade. Dr. Howard cleared his throat. He was slipping again. "Come in, Stein." He needed to get this over with before he went to far away.

Dr.Stein heard murmuring from the other side of the door before he was called in. He swung the door open, "Hello sir, I trust you've had a pleasant morning." He sat himself in a chair in front of Dr.Howard's desk, crossing his legs and resting the files he did have on his knee. Dr.Howard seemed a bit pale, shooketh even, but then again he often would look that way without explanation. Dr.Stein didn't know much about the accident or Dr.Howard's past, but he knew the basics. "I was hoping to get the files on the new arrivals... as well as any other useful information you may have about them." Dr.Stein by this point had figured out his boss's power, and knew he would know a few things that were not in the files. Not only the kinds of things that they cared about, those would not be in any files kept by any place other than Alcatraz, but also things that might make James' job easier. As a rule, he wasn't very fond of surprise, least not at work. He could already see more and more cars pull in and the kids contained within being escorted into the building. Tilly has to have her hands full by now.

Julian

Julian calmly left the nurses office after her check up and wandered around the halls unsure of what to do next. They moved as if they were air, light, silently and unnoticed. Julian looked out the window to see two other cars pull up with two new people one in hand cuffs and the other seemingly to dance to the door. They froze as they watched the new people out the window 'New just like i am... I wonder if i should be worried?' Julian tilted their head as they thought to themselves "ugh but no one wants to be with the villain" they moved on continuing through the hall.

The halls were wide and let light travel through easily, Julian breathed in feeling the flow through their airways. They focused on the air around them a wind starting to pick up and push Juliains hair around in the wind. It stopped just as quickly as it started and Julian continued to walk feeling slightly renewed. they walk down the main set of stairs ready to search for their dorm.

Nurse Tilly
She had been tending to another new arrival when she noticed that Julian had slipped off. She frowned. That would not do, not at all.
She couldn't allow them to wonder about so early on. She let the other tending nurse know where she was going and promptly left. The halls were a
little more crowded than they were before, but she didn't yet see them. Tilly headed towards the door that let to the pathways between the buildings,
and watched Julian slip out through the door just in time. She picked up her pace, and headed out the door after the child.

"Ah, Julian? Hold on for a moment." She caught up to them, "We have a bit more to do before you're allowed to wander about." She ushered
the thin teen towards the auditorium with a careful arm. "The Dean has a few words to say. I will just take you there now, before everyone, and we
will get you settled okay?" She smiled and lead the way.

Jennifer
Jennifer drove a few long miles from her suburban home to her new teaching position in this shady part of the world. She thought long and hard about the kind of students she would encounter on her new journey. All she could muster at the thought was a creeping delight and excitement. To nurture minds beyond the comprehension of many... She sighed in sheer joy. It would be worth the gas. Besides, she wondered if she can simply stay there, or somewhere near would be nice.

She parked discreetly after entering the main gate. Not wanting to make a fuss over her arrival, she quickly locked it up and proceeded to the main grounds. She takes a good look around and frowns at the gray walls that seem to radiate dullness.

'Aww... How am I going to teach in a depressing place like this? It reeks of low standard facilities.'

She proceeded to enter the school in search of the man in charge. She felt a foreboding sense of 'Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enters' from the door. She navigated the rooms quickly and silently, sensing the presences to make sure she does not run into anyone except the dean. Then, a thought occurred to her.

'Wait, if I'm dodging everyone, then how am I going to know who the dean is? Stupid, stupid, stupid!' She slapped herself.

She walked in the open now, but still wary. It was an ominous place for sure. Jennifer could feel her hair standing on end. She opened a random door without knocking, and without trying to sense for presence, what greeted her was a room full of unknown people. She flushed in embarrassment and offered a quick sorry. She bowed low, as was the custom in her previous school.

"I'm sorry for intruding! I just wanted to know where the dean is..."

Dr. Howard

Dr. Howard looked up slightly as Dr. Stein took a seat in front of his desk. Standing and grabbing his cane, he walked over to the filing cabinet and pulled out multiple folders. The image of his wife had shaken him to his core. It had been years since he had seen her, at least that real because her ghost was always present to him, and even longer since the accident. Did it have something to do with the start of a new year? Tucking all of the folders under his arm, he shuffled back to his desk and dropped them in front of James. He quickly noticed that the picture frame was still out and he quickly, but calmly, tucked it away in his desk drawer. The same drawer held various items he would need if there were any students in his office that needed to be dealt with in any fashion of ways. "This is what I have. The rest are being sent to me. It seems there are more students this year than years prior. Which means we are going to have our hands full." His icy grey eyes flashed slightly behind his glasses at James. "But that shouldn't be a problem. Should it?" He glanced out the window, noting the amount of activity arriving and entering the school. "Make copies of those for yourself and the other staff. The students are arriving and I believe it's time for the Dean to make the Welcome announcement."

He spoke as as walked past James towards his room that was attached to his office. Slipping on his vest, he turned and locked the three locks he kept in order to keep others out of his personal area. Glancing at Dr. Stein one last time, Dr. Howard shuffled to the door to his office, proceeding to the stairs leading to the students being escorted into his school. As James followed him, the stairs opened slightly to show mulitple police officers, a doctor who seemed like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and beloved Nurse Tilly. Stopping at the middle of the stairs, his eyebrow raised at the sight of a bowing young women. "Ah, she must be the new teacher." He mumbled slightly to himself. He tapped his cane on the floor to gain the attention of all of the students, staff, and escorts.

"If I could have everyone's attention please! The Welcoming announcement will be taking place in the auditorium. If you all would follow me, please." The man's normal quiet tone rose above everyone else's voice and commotion. He proceeded to walk to the auditorium and to the podium, placing his portfolio on top and pulling out his record book and waited for everyone to file in after him.

Oliver shuffles along to the auditorium with everyone, his hands still in cuffs as he wasn't able to talk to anyone about it and his officer drove off without another word. He sighs and sits down near the entrance waiting for something to happen. He glances around at the others trying to gauge them and failing, hoping his smile will let on that he is friendly but no one pays him any mind. Well that's awkward, he thinks to himself. He fidgets with the chain in his hands and hopes he doesn't look like he was just crying.

Julian

Julian stood in the auditorium with nurse Tilly, whom ushered them in and then left to gather more people. looking around at the large space seeing only a few people stagger in the room. Julian look up at the dean near the podium unsure on what to do their legs starting to feel numb from standing for so long. Julian doesn't stare at the dean for long. They audibly sigh and sink to the floor "I'm tired" they speak softly leaning back awaiting the announcements. their pink tinted hair brushes back behind their small white ears revealing the deep dark circles under their blue specked yellow eyes.

They tilt their head back to see a few feet back a very tall dark skinned man? no a boy, definitely around their age they stood meekly his face showed such an expression it made Julian feel sad. the boys hands were cuffed as he stood somewhat awkwardly away from Julian. They looked past him and then back at him their eyes meeting his. Julians eyes widen slightly as they try to give a small smile and then quickly turn their attention back to the stage.

Kitsune walked through the building looking for the auditorium. She was sort of interested in what this announcement was going to entail. She was still wrapped in a straight jacket which was really uncomfortable. Kira started saying some very mean things to her, he does it because he likes the reactions he gets from her. She went to try to clutch her head but Kit couldn't really move her arms at the moment. "Will you just shut up!" Kitty said out loud in an angered tone.

Within a few moments Kitsune was able to find the auditorium. It was a pretty big room that already held a few people who arrived before she had. No one had told her what was going to happen to her after she was taken in custody so she has no idea what's about to take place. Kitsune walked over to the middle of the room and stood there waiting for everyone else to show up.

Sasha followed his escort to the auditorium and sighed as he was practically dragged alongside the man. It was obvious that he wanted out of there as soon as possible and therefore didn't much care about what he was doing. The dragging was starting to annoy Sasha and he groaned "I can go there myself you know? This place is full of people so I won't be able to escape anyway, besides see there is an adult? I am sure they can guide me to where I need to go without dragging me around like you do." he pulled his shirt free and ran towards the nurse only to be tackled to the ground by his escort.

"Not going to happen boy. I will take you there myself and once you are in the auditorium I couldn't care less what you do. Now stand up and stop goofing around. We are almost there" he said and once Sasha was back on his feet he started dragging Sasha towards the auditorium again. He sighed and let the man do his job before he finally got to the room filled with people. Sasha was a bit uncomfortable since he wasn't used to that many people at once and sneaked himself into the far corner to his left. "Well, this is it. Now I finally get to leave this freaky place." The escort grumbled as he left and Sasha giggled at the grumpy man.
He didn't think the place was creepy, to him it was all so fascinating that he sat down and intently stared at the people to figure out what was going to happen next.

Jennifer
Jennifer was awkwardly backing away, mentally berating herself for making such a huge blunder right off the bat.

'And it's my first day too!'

She passes by a few more rooms until she heard a loud announcement. She almost screamed in victory, as if God answered her troubles and gave her a quick shortcut. Not that she believed in such stupidity. A God is simply created by man to explain the presently unexplainable. To this day and age, she can do things that a million years ago would be considered God-like. At least, that was her opinion. She just chalked it up to chance. Anyway, she had another problem: Where was the auditorium?

She sighed loudly and started to run towards the place where she was hearing a large number of people. She hoped she was right. She won't survive another blunder. She rounded a corner.

"This must be it."

She entered the auditorium.

Nurse Tilly

Tilly was wandering the grounds between the main building and the auditorium. Catching anyone going
astray and directing them on the right path. There was another nurse still in the main building, so if anymore
newcomers arrived late, they would still be greeted properly.

She had noticed a couple things from the new students. The majority of them looked worn down, and she was not
impressed in the slightest with how they were treated by those who chaperoned them. Just as she turned to start heading back
to the auditorium, she watched as a young girl entered the auditorium still in a straight jacket! The nerve of some people,
this wont do. Although she would be lying to say that she wasn't excited to meet her new co-workers. Nurse Tilly continued back,
confident in the other staffs abilities to help out in the grounds. She walked past a severely disgruntled police officer, and quickly s
poke to another member of the staff.

"Make sure that one leaves right away. And don't be afraid to show that he is not welcome back. I trust in your ability to do so."
She smiled fondly at the Teacher, they would put their power to use. Distortion of reality, it was a scary one alright.
Tilly made her way back to the group of students, there were quite a few, but she headed directly to the center of the building
towards a small blonde. Making sure she was seen, she didn't want to startle her, she smiled kindly at the straight jacketed girl
and unclasped it from the back.

"There, all better!" She took the straight jacket completely off, and gently pushed her to the seats that were closer to the podium up at the
front of the room. "Just go take a seat there, the Dean just has a few words to say. Then we will have a tour of the school, and after that,"
she smiled again "We will make sure to get you a nice warm breakfast!" She ushered for more of the students to take the seats up at the
front. But she would not force them, they were allowed to be where they wanted (on the floor, in a corner, standing). Tilly new that
the Dean would start soon, so she headed over to the area designated for the staff.

Oliver smiled, waving awkwardly to the person who had met his eyes. He noticed how rail thin they were and hoped they were okay, but before he had a chance to go up and talk to them a nurse walked in with another couple students trailing behind him and he knew that he'd have to wait. He settled back into his chair and waited for whatever speech was to come, fiddling with the chain and kicking his feet.
"I really need these things off. "

Break

Break walked into the auditorium, briefly wondering where Benjamin ran off too. Huh. He was actually trying to be nice and hold back his urges, because he actually felt like befriended the boy today. New Student Arrival day was always weird. No one ever really stayed since he's been here though. They all seem to get out, either one way or another. He looked around the room. There was a girl that Nurse Tilly was helping with her straight jacket? Well that's one he hasn't seen in a while. They have a special fire proof one for him, though they haven't had to use it on him in a long time. There was another boy wearing cuffs while smiling and waving at another student. 'Must hurt.' Break thought to himself, walking over to the boy while pulling out a few tools from his pocket along with a handkerchief. Dropping the handkerchief on the boys head, Break proceeded to pick the lock on the cuffs, letting them drop to the floor. He was about to speak to the boy, when Dean Howard started to hit his cane onto the floor of the stage.

Dr. Howard

Growing tired of waiting, Dr. Howard began to bang his cane onto the stage floor. Most of the students have seemed to of straggled in, or been escorted. There was some rough treatment to some of them. They were his students now and he wouldn't stand for anything of the sort. "Any person or persons that have been forceful with any of the students from the time they pulled through the gate, must stay until the end of this assembly and tour and be handled accordingly." The elder man turned his attention to the faculty, the new young teacher certainly. "Miss Jennifer, if you would please come and and stand with Nurse Tilly. I will speak to you later in my office. Don't worry, you aren't in any form of trouble. Just for me to answer any questions you may have. But you will accompany Nurse Tilly and Dr. Stein as they go on the tours with the students. After you will come to my office." Flipping open his record book, he ran a finger down the page looking up breifly every so often. He noted the names he had down and made a mental note of those he hadn't, before clearing his throat and finally addressing his students.

"Hello and welcome, to all new students. My name is Doctor Ian Howard and I am the Dean of Alcatraz. You have all been sent here for one reason or another. I do not care about the reasoning other than the uncontrollable one. You see, here at Alcatraz we are aware of the special things about each and everyone of you. Even some of the staff are like you. I have noticed the most, if not all of you, have met our beloved Nurse Tilly. Nurse Tilly, myself and Dr. Stein are among the staff that have been here the longest. Any questions please feel free to ask. There are rules here at Alcatraz, and they must be meet or there will be consequences.

Breakfast and the time to be up is anywhere from 6 A.M. until 7:30 A.M. at the latest.

Classes are everyday Monday through Friday 8 A.M until 4 P.M. with music and sports on Saturday at various times.

Lunch and break is anywhere between 12 noon until 2 P.M.

After class students are allowed to roam campus, but it must be stated with a staff member as to where they are going to be.

Curfew is at 9 P.M. Students must be in the dorm building by this time. Students are allowed to stay up, but there must be no issues or these privileges will be revoked.

I shall now hand the floor over to Nurse Tilly and Dr. Stein. There will be a tour of the main building, dorm building and surrounding areas directly after this. Immediately after the tours, students will report to the dining area for a hot breakfast and room assignments, as well as class assignments. Classes for all students will begin next week, starting Monday morning. I recommend you use this time to aquatint yourself with the campus, for there will be no leaving of any kind unless there is a scheduled Day Trip in the itinerary. There is one scheduled for later in the week." He turned his attention to the nurse. "Nurse Tilly, the floor is yours." He took a step back, and allowed her to take his place at the podium.
