This morning went off with an INCREDIBLE start.
I was searching for a Fletchling so I can get Talonflames special ability for hatching eggs. I searched in this one bush for about a hour, getting just Thrumbeaks and Yungoos over and over. Then it happened. I've played pokemon since Emerald and I've never encountered a Shiny in the wild. Mainly I have acquired some through trade (I recently received a Shiny Heliolisk). But, here right in front of me was a Level 20 Shiny Yungoos (Also this Shiny is one of the best this generation in my opinion). The first wild shiny encounter I've ever had. I caught it excitedly and only one encounter later.... A Fletchling! I had got 2 of the things I wanted in one morning! Thank you Arceus and Mew!

USUM also gave me my first shinies - yes, PLURAL. I've played since D&P (though skipped B&W) and put a lot of hours into each game I owned. Had the Shiny Charm in Moon as well as Ultra Sun. I hear the pokemon you find in the wormhole are more likely to be shiny, but I didn't spend too much time doing that.

Never had any luck in Moon, but in Ultra Sun, to level my pokemon and to collect Lucky Eggs, I did SOS battles with Chanseys. A LOT of SOS battles. I have three shiny Chanseys now and I love them all. Also, while EV training, I randomly encountered a shiny Pichu and a shiny Grubbin, neither were SOS battles, just random encounters. I love my shiny squad! I was so excited for each of them.

I think my most prized one is a Charmander I was breeding for stats back in BW. Ended up being a few stats shy in speed, but I figured it being shiny was worth the small loss in potential.

Haven’t played ORAS or beyond though, so I’m far behind!
 
Tripped over a shiny geodude in Platinum, also saw a shiny Staravia but it broke out of the ultra ball I threw and the little shite used whirlwind.
 
The one shiny I ever found randomly in the wild was a Pidove in Pokemon Black. I couldn't tell if it was a shiny so I creatively named it "SHINY?!" But luckily I was right :P
 
Aaa, congratulations! USUM is very generous when it comes to shinies. My favorite way to hunt for them is SOS chaining.

Anyways, regarding my first shiny, mine was a shiny Swadloon in Pokemon White 2. I was so shocked. But me being the dumb 10 year old that I was, decided to restart my file later on with the then shiny Leavanny. I still regret it to this day.
 
Got a shiny weedol one time which was super dope though I dropped my DS and it shut down before I could save so RIP
 
I once spent two weeks straight looking for a shiny in SoulSilver. Still have never got a shiny.
 
I got my first (and most likely last) shiny in Ultra Moon. It was an Orricorio, who's now one of my best Pokemon in my first team.
 
I got my first shinies here as well.

First, a shiny Absol (From Kanto) In Wonder Trade (I Cried :’3)

Then, while leveling up a few Pokémon in the Ultra Wormhole, I got a shiny Swanna (Also Cried Here :’3)
Then my hunting began.

While shiny hunting, I found some AWESOME shinies! (Feel Free To Trade For These Guys, It’s Elyin)

First shiny I found in the wild was a Tentacool in Pearl. Unfortunately, I decided to do a Nuzlocke one day and forgot to trade over my pokemon before I reset the game :I

Second ever shiny I found in the wild was a Dugtrio in Y (I was doing another Nuzlocke), although I accidentally killed that one before I could catch it.
 
The first time I found a shiny was in Gold version on my Gameboy color. It was a shiny Zubat in that first cave in the Kanto Region, I think.

I didn't know what it was so I knocked it out. OTL
 
My very first shiny...

My first caught shiny was up in Platinum. It was, as you might've guessed, a Sneasel. I freaked out when I caught it.

My first seen shiny was back in Emerald (My fav.). I was extremely lucky, encountering Rayquaza as a shiny. I was so young that I had no damn idea how special shinies were. You can guess what most likely happened.

My first shiny was actually a Krabby in Pokemon Gold. I was lucky as a kid. lol
 
My first shiny was in ORAS, where I got into shiny hunting, especially with the DexNav method. Ironically though, my first shiny was a Feebas which I caught via the chain fishing method for my sister. It evolved into a beautiful Milotic though! Even if I didn't get to keep it for myself.
 
The first shiny I've encountered in the wild as a random encounter was a Medipod. And at the time I had no idea what it was. I tried to catch it, but was so early in the game I only had 3 pokeballs and it escaped.

The first shiney I ever caught as a random in the wild encounter, was in X and Y and it was a Noibat!!!

I lost. My freaking. Shit.
 
Congratulations! Its always great to hear someone actually found one in the wild. It is extremely hard even if I am told that the catching rate has gone up. I got lucky in pokemon Alpha Saphire and caught my first legit shiny there. It was a pikachu which is kinda ironic since I never use shinies.

And as for my first ever shiny would be in Soul Silver. My Croconaw used rock smash and literally struck gold for I got myself a shiny geodude XD My fiance however got himself a shiny Type Null through a wonder trade but he says "It doesn't count" LOL he wants to find his first shiny so bad. May Arceus bless him as such xD
 
The first shiny I got happened when I was playing Ultra Moon. I'm new to Pokemon and so I encountered a steenee and fell in love with the design. I caught her, and then the immediate next encounter was with a shiny one. Needless to say I flipped out really hard.
 
Congratulations! My first was a blue-coloured Ditto in Leaf Green. I still have it after all these years. I also found a shiny Numel in Sapphire. But, alas, I’ve no had no luck with shinies since.
