Wade smirked, "I don't doubt you would have gotten some help. But I am glad we found you. For a while, we were the happiest we had ever been."he sighed, "But I wish there same thing, to have let my brother find his open way. He would have been upset, but it would have been short lived."

Ward looked to him and smiled. "There might still be time. Until you got here I was probably one of the only wolves left in the pack who knew my father had a good side. He'd always been good to me, he's always shown that he loved me." He says. "You know now you're here, at some point I want to hear more about your past with him and the short time I was with you." He adds as though trying to lighten the mood a little.

Wade chuckled, "You were very loving, always had to hold a finger. Pretty sure Evanora loved it. She would let you pick what finger." He smiled, lost in the memory, "She showed you a switch she does, that was probably the only time I didn't hate magic. Being wolves, we naturally stay away from any kind of magic, being Alpha, I was told how won't it was. So when Evanora uses it, I'm not very happy with it. But it's part of her and you thought it was hilarious. It was amusing to hear you laugh, when I left you with Evanora, you didn't seem to really notice. I came back and you were lost in a nap, curled against Evanora. You were very patient for a pup." He chuckled, "My brother had this habit, we had fights, arguments. But no matter what, he was there when I got hurt. It rarely happened, but I did nearly die protecting him from a bear. My father gave us both a piece of his mind that day, I was pretty much in time out." He chuckled, "But Johnathan was there. One of the few times we ever really seemed like nothing could separate us. He was the little brother, the trouble maker and I was the older brother, his protector. I figured he got used to it, that I would leave my mate, pick the pack and him over a witch. He has always been spoiled."

"Can Evanora share memories?" He asked, he couldn't help himself and then he thought of his father. "It's kinda sad. I mean it makes sense you'd choose your mate over the pack. But I can imagine he was pretty upset to lose you." He says. He hesitated a moment.

Wade smirked, nodding, "She's a witch after all, she can do a lot of normal things. It feels weird, but it's the same thing." Then he sighed, "Honestly, I wish he never gave me that choice. Having to pick between them was probably the only choice I have made that I question more then anything else."

Ward made a mental note to ask Evanora about it later. "What did he do? Or how did he get into that much power. We're your mother and father no longer around?" He asked. He was curious about it all.

"I had taken over by then, my parents passes a little before I selected Evanora. But they accepted her, they understood and when they found out they didn't argue, much." Wade explained and then sighed, "Johnathan was my Beta, he has access to the Elite. I don't know when he got into their heads, I just know he did."

Ward nodded in understanding. "He has that sort of charm. I think he finds ways to get people to agree with a small thought that leads to a bigger plan. Like he manipulates them." Ward says. He was unsure of course, he saw his father differently than anyone else would.

Wade sighed, "Something he got from our Aunt, I am sure. But nothing I haven't been aware of." He smirked, "My father used to look at him like he was crazy when he tried it with him. But with anyone else, Johnathan just had a way about him. Got me in a bit of trouble."

Ward smirked some. "I think I would have liked to have met your parents. I wish I could remember you more or my mother even."

Wade sighed, "Your mother was died before you too your first breath. Whatever attached your pack, made sure of that." He nodded, then smirked, "My parents would have liked you. My mother loved everyone, the only wolf my father little to no control over and he didn't mind. They were a sight together, especially when I took over as Alpha and he had more time to be with her."

Ward smiled. "I would like to know more about them...if there's time before you go. And Hayden too. I know you didn't know my birth mother but Hayden and Evanora would have been more mother-like to me anyway." He says.

Wade smirked as they were entering the pack, "You know, the more you learn about the past, the less you focus on the future. My father always told me, you learn From the past, you don't relive it."

Ward grinned. "Wise words. I suppose that's right, even if I do like the memories. But you can let me know any need to know wisdom if you have time." He says with another grin.

Wade raised an eyebrow and sighed, as he stopped when they got into the pack, "I refer to my father a lot, so that doesn't seem to be an issue, if you are around enough. Go. Rest, we meet with the Alpha later."

Ward nodded, bowing his head once respectfully and then turning to go to the room assigned to him during his stay. He was thrilled to have Wade here. He was not so thrilled about everything else.

It was nearly dawn when Greyson could feel it, it was an old sense that he didn't understand, but as soon as he did, he was on his feet. He dressed quickly and warned Zyana to stay inside with Lee and then he was gone.

Wade sighed when he saw Greyson coming towards him, confused, as he heard the alarm that Greyson spread for the other wolves to stay where they were and for Ward and Mike to also stay, in case. He was an Alpha, he knew that he should know what was going on and face it before putting anyone in danger. Wade smirked, "Not many Alpha's practice their place."

"My father was very strict about that fact." Greyson said.

Ward felt the warning, but he could also feel his uncle nearby. Now he had paid attention to the feel and scent of family, he was acutely aware of it. He left his room silently and moved to the front of the house. He did not want to interrupt, but he did want to know if it was Wade or something else. Unlike Greyson his father had not taught him to face a problem before he pack did, but in raising Jason it had become an instinct all the same.

Wade smirked, "And your father is where, now?"

"Died." Greyson said, then tilted his head, "But you knew that, didn't you?" he took a deep breath, "You aren't an Alpha that normally walks around."

"I'm not an Alpha anymore." Wade stated, glancing towards Ward, "Attentive, much."

Greyson glanced the way he looked and took a little longer then Wade to notice they were being watched. He linked with the pack to let them know everything was fine and Mike and Ward too. Then he turned slightly, motioning Wade to walk with him, "I guess knowledge is worth the audience?"

Wade nodded, "Come on, Ward." he called out before he moved to walk with Greyson, "You know who I am?"

Greyson nodded, "My father told me about you. Your father killed my grandfather for disrespecting him as an Alpha and you, if I recall."

"It was a little more then that, but that was the highlighted parts." Wade smirked, "We have left you to your own business since."

Greyson nodded, "Old traditions."

Wade nodded, "So you know the difference?"

"Between you and I? Yes. I know the difference and I know to respect it, ancient pack traditions aren't lost, just unpracticed, makes us more equal that way."

Wade sighed, "Much more civil that way, I guess. But we are wolves, the old ways are just something we can't help."

Greyson shook his head, "No. It extinguishes the greedy of power, though."

Wade smirked, "That is something that is beneficial then, I guess." Greyson just nodded as they walked to the meeting building.

Ward almost felt like a child. A boy watching his father when he wasn't supposed to and then being caught in the act and humored for it. He ignored that though and with a few long strides caught up to them. He stayed silent though. He was terribly curious about what they spoke of. It was not something his father dwelled on.

Greyson smirked, "But I know what you can do and I know how hard it was for you to master what you can do. So, I know that Alpha respect is not equal when speaking to you, compared to another Alpha. After all, upsetting you could mean the end of us."

Wade chuckled, "You sound like I am like that child of yours."

Greyson sighed, nodding, "I feel more like the child at the moment. But before that becomes a topic, I have to ask, why here?"

Wade stopped as they were in the middle of the street, "Something important that I lost is near and I waiting for it to come back." he explained, which only confused Greyson before he nodded.

"I am guessing that the treaty will be with you, then?" Greyson asked.

Wade shrugged, "In part. Honestly, I am curious on my brother's standing and what he wants from this pack. He has never been one to tell you straight out, unless he had something under his sleeve."

"I imagine so." Greyson sighed, "I found that out when they arrived."

Wade looked at him curiously, before Greyson motioned him into the building, "The wolf that they brought, Michael. My father was looking for, for as long as I can remember and he wanted nothing more then to take from him what we don't have. Michael has an immunity to silver that allows him to heal, not just because of his speed but because of his blood. Not just that, but we had almost caught Michael before, a pack we were treatied with caught him. He destroyed that pack before we could get to him. Not sure how, but he was tortured then, he is healthy now, I have no doubt that he has orders to kill us all, if the Moonlight doesn't get its way. And our silver was taken from us."

Wade nodded, in understanding, "I remember the silver, it was implanted in your claws, with a bridge between you and the silver so you wouldn't hurt yourselves. Your grandfather got my father that way, but just the one."

Greyson smirked, "My Luna thought they were dangerous and cruel and for her, I would do anything."

Wade smiled o himself as they entered the building, "Yes, that is how a mate works."

Ward felt a small ping of jealousy. He loved Kenzi, but he'd never felt a mate pull, he knew he didn't have one and knew he did not have someone destined for him. He quickly pushed the jealousy away though and listened. He was relieved Greyson knew he intent of his father. He had been worrying over that because he knew what his father wanted, Greyson could not give. He'd been trying to work out a plan and thought he had one. With Wade here that all changed though he would tell them what he knew.

Wade sighed, "I wouldn't worry about the wolf. He wouldn't hurt your pack, as long as you don't make him."

Greyson nodded, "Thank you. Part of me was concerned that you might side with your brother. I have heard the rumors of your growing up. Alpha borns don't have any private lives."

Wade chuckled, "No, we really don't."

Ward had stopped listening. He caught what Wade had said about Mike but that wasn't what concerned him. If Mike didn't do as he was supposed to, Johnathan would take it out on the Beta. He may even hurt Hailey topunish Mike, though he doubted his father would go that far. But he did not want Mike to be punished for something like that.

Greyson sighed as he led him to the room, which Mike happened to be in. Greyson smirked, "I thought you would find us. We can start then." he said motioning to the three chairs.

Wade turned to Ward, "Seat there." he said, deciding to stand as Greyson offered him a seat and he shook his head.

Greyson sighed, motioning Mike to seat, Mike eyed Wade for a moment before he moved to seat down and sighed as he did. Greyson sat down, "So, should we start with what we want or just throw things out there?"
