Anime & Manga Idea Offers Anime Suggestions

1) I'd prefer something that has finished, but I don't mind a currently airing show
2) I enjoy Fantasy, Romance is something I frequently look for (Harem or no Harem is no problem for me) I also love a good scare fest
3) Hmm, Hmm, Hmm, Maybe something strange and weird (But not Lol, So random!)

Hi. I need anime recommendations because I just finished re watching okamisan and her seven companions, and I really need something new.
1) I prefer completed animes that have English dubs, if you can find one with my other interests.
2) I don't like swearing, and I love the adorable moments so I'd like any anime I watch to be chock full of them.
3) I love romance, especially with tsundere characters, and a really shy guy, because it just seems to work so well, or a guy who keeps hitting on the tsundere. I also really like highschool anime.

1) Do you want something that is airing or somehting that is finished?
Either- I am a noob in anime owo

2) Any information about what you generally like that I should know?
I like comedy and usually feel-good anime. I avoid horror and gore but can withstand a psychological thriller or two

3) Any specifics that you are looking for in what you want to see in the recommendations?
Hmm something short but really entertaining.Something I can watch for short period of time

Thanks~

ah crap sorry I didn't get to you, are you still looking for any at all?

Ok, so, there are like hundreds of anime somewhat within your parameters, within my watch list alone. Honestly it's extremely common and two thirds of harem alone probably match what you want. So I'll keep my recommendations to a few that I think best fit what you may be looking for, as well as some of my personal favorite that match what you want. I will also avoid using straight-up harems with no clear victor relationship unless I find them too good to ignore.

Boku Wa Todomachi ga Sukanai-Slice of life, so very focused on the cutesy moments, romantic interest is in fact a tsundere and high school focus as well

Busou Shoujo Machiavellism- It has an interesting contrast of cute (focus of comedy often) and action-packed, and it's kind of a harem so it has romance. The main which seem to be two tsunderes. Has an english dub. Plus it's a recent anime that might have gone under the radar.

Code Geass- few cutesy moments overall, but there are a few, and it's one of the greatest anime I've ever watched. There's a pseudo-everything on your list so I'm recommending it to you. Great english dub I hear.

Gamers!- This one is to die for. Comedy nonstop, cuteness everywhere, though contrary to the name it actually is less about gaming and more about it's romantic comedy. Featuring a tsundere and a girl who is kind of sometimes one. Has an english dub.

Hayate no Gotoku- It's a bit old, but at least the first season is definitely worth watching. Hilarious, romance with a tsudnere and ful of cuteness. It has a highschool in it, but there is actually very little focus on it, and the old references will likely fly over your head. I think it has an english dub since it's so pg and so old, but I didn't check.

Dog and Scissors- this is an anime I love but it has a uhm...unique idea. And while I don't think it detriments from the humor or romance or cuteness some people are a bit weirded out by it, so at least read the premise before going with this recommendation. But that aside, I think it's a great example of an anime within your interests. Has an english dub, not half bad.

Inu x Boku- It has a bit of an uncertain plot, but it can create an excellent atmosphere as far as the romance and cuteness go, so worth checking out. I'm pretty sure it has an english dub.

World God Only Knows- lot's of highschool focus, lot's of cuteness, and while it is a harem anime it's one of the best anime I've seen in my life. I would recommend really checking it out.

Kaze no Stigma- again, a bit of an old one and some find it a classic. It's straightfoward with it's romance and badass of a main character and even power-wise not hard to grasp.

Mazamune-kun no Revenge- Another recent one that might have slipped under your radar, it's a cute anime with a very well characterized main character that I think once again, matches up really well with all of the requirements you wanted.

Nisekoi- it's a harem but with an obvious resolution. And honestly, as far as anime romantic comedies go, I'd say this one is a classic. Fits everything you want as well.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry- Don't let some of the used tropes fool you, it's a proper romance with a tsundere. Now while I am pretty sure it fits all of your desires, except for the fact it packs in a battle school vertent instead of strict highschool, this is one anime I love with all my heart and I do very much recommend.

Toradora- An absolute classic as far as romance with tsunderes goes. Can't say it enough, check it out, it more than fits everything you wanted.

Zero no Tsukaima- This and Toradora too, I wouldn't call them anywhere near recent, but I wouldn't necessarily call it old either. Anyway, it is wihtin what you wanted, but it is set in a more medieval setting and it's a magic school, so if that turns ya off sorry.

Hope I could help!

Either- I am a noob in anime owo
Welcome to our community then! I hope you like it with us :)

There are a lot of anime shorts every season which fit your requirements exactly. I recommend checking out anime seasonal charts to see which shows fall into the "short" category. Since you're new I will also avoid recommending too much so you don't get overwhelmed and I'll try to give you a mix of completed and ongoing anime so you can try both the weekly watch and binge watch experiences:

Currently Ongoing:
Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san - Very funny and chill anime

Yuru Camp- I'm not personally watching this one, but from what I see from clips and art and what I hear it's absolutely adorable and chill too, so do check it out :)

Gakuen Babysitters- it's an anime about highschool students helping to babysit cute toddlers. Need I say more?

Mitsubushi Colors- I haven't started this one yet, but it's right in the description that it's a happy show and given what it's about it's adorable and feels-good.

Completed:
Aho Girl- it's one of the best introductions I can think to short format anime. It's hilarious, on the nose, and really uplifting in a sense.

Date a Live- it's been on my top 10 ever since I first watched it.

Kotoura-san- This anime will kick you to the ground with how depressing it can be... but use that to lift your spirits in a way you wouldn't have thought possible otherwise. I broke down the first episode here on RPN as a perfect example of how to start a story even, so I have no reason not to recommend it as a bit of diversity to keep your experience from being monotone.

Action Heroines Cheer Fruits- while it is a feels good anime, when it gets a bit sad the characterization done during that time comes to light. It's one of the few anime in the hundreds upon hundreds I've watched that actually pulled tears out of me.

Is this a zombie? - I pondered using Konosuba here, but I think you probably need some more acquaintance with some anime tropes before fully appreciating that one. Still this one is an very similar parody style. If the answer to "do you want to laugh your lungs off?" is yes, then this is the show for you.

Hope those help!

Airing:
Mahoutsukai no Youme - just the obvious given your preferences very "beauty and the beast", a little overhyped, it's still good. One of the MCs has a literal goat skull for a face, so I guess it checks the weird part too?

Completed:
Another- Yes, that's the actual title "another". It's within the horror genre and has plenty of gore, plus romance and some supernatural elements.

Date a Live- It's in my top ten, it's basically urban fantasy with a small scifi mix, not really scary elements and what strangeness it has it's mostly for comedy but it does have some great romances.

Death Parade- again not really fantasy moreso supernatural, but it's a beautiful show with a heartwrentching romance and it's about the "limbo" part of the afterlife being like a bar where dead people play games to decide whether they reencarnate or basically go to hell, so you tell me if that is weird and possibly scary.

Fullmetal Alchemist- I don't think this one needs an intro

Made in Abyss- I'm bolding this one cause it's my #1 recommendation this time. Want weird? Plenty to go! Romance? Yup! Fantasy? Complete fantasy! Scare fest? You don't know what you're in for.... And let's not forget the added bonus that it got everyone, and I mean, everyone talking about it, so seeing it can also help keep up with the current discussion in the anime community.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika- the romance isn't exactly confirmed and it's yuri romance, but this anime is a classic and definitely worth a watch. It matches all of your other requirements very well, although a bit of awareness on the magical girl genre may be needed to fully appreciate it.

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu Ka? Isogashii desu Ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu Ka? / (SukaSuka) - That's first the full title and the title the fans call it for...obvious reasons. Despite the name pretty much giving away that it's based on a light novel, don't let that turn you down cause some would call this one of the best out there. It has a heart breaking romance in a fantasy world with a few weird elements which are too spoilery for me to mention right now.

Yami Shibai (first season)- this anime is weird and as I hear quite scary, though it didn't frighten me much. Still, since the entire point is to be in scary short story format, episodes aren't longer than like 5 minutes long, so it's worth a try.

Hope these help!

you sir are a genius

These all sound great. I watched a little bit of Toradora, and didn't really like it, and I LOVE fantasy medieval-y stuff, so thanks for suggesting that. Tell me if you find any other good ones.

Ooooh give me something please :D

1. Either airing or finished
2. I love *~*Drama*~* whatever the packaging. My favourite show/manga is Berserk, but recently I also liked Psycho Pass, Devilman and Yuri on Ice. I don’t care about setting if the writing is fun. I almost don’t care about animation quality either, though it’s nice if it’s pretty.
3. No comedy please, otherwise anything goes! Maybe more dystopia would be cool if you have any.

1) Something that's finished. I can't stand waiting for weeks.

2) I personally hate sci fi, ecchi, harem (not reverse harems, just harems), and hentai (ew). I love shoujo, shounen, romance, supernatural, historical, melodramatic, comedy, slice of life, and reverse harems (with strong female leads)

3) I would love to see any anime that's like Assassination Classroom, Special A, Kaichou wa Maid Sama, Kobato., Tokyo Mew Mew, Kaitou Jeanne, Snow White With The Red Hair, or something with those genres.

Hmmm... I haven't actually seen any of those three, so I'll have to rely on second-hand info to understand what you're trying to get at. Hopefully the recommendations will still be proper ones.

Airing recommendation:
Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens- this is my second biggest recommendation for you. It's extremely gritty, a bit on the edgy side, but then again you'd expect that from an anime about a serial-killer city. It's still airing, but it has proven to have finesse, drama and it has similarities in sensibility and art-style to devilman (though it's not the same by any means).

Finished:
Action Heroine Cheer Fruits- this one is a lot more cheerful and certainly contains comedic elements to it, but it has a very grounded approach to it's topic which is itself a form of performance. This helps strengthen the drama of masterfully builds, to the point of having been one of the few anime to ever manage to make me cry.

Darker than Black- it's more cryptic than the options you mentioned, but there is boldness and finesse and a highly dramatic perspectives to the characters and scenarios. You shouldn't turn your brain off on this one, but don't try to understand everything either.

Death Parade- Havig aired at around the same time as Yuri on Ice, this anime is still regarded as extremely deep, and definitely has the drama to back it up. Due to it's episodic nature, it even manages to reset the dramatic escalation in the forefront, allowing you to experience it multiple times. As a bonus it has an ice skating scene that has many claim is better than any on Yuri on Ice, specifically.

Fate/Zero- Regarded as perhaps the best anime in the fate franchise, this one is extremely deep in the exploration of it's themes, has a mind-glowingly awesome premise and if you like drama, if you like tragedy, you're in for a real treat.

Inutashiki- This anime is very recent, and boy is it great as a drama. It's entirely in CGI though, so keep it in mind. However, your heart will break in tears right from the first ten minutes just by watching the poor guy's face. Oh did I mention the main character is an old man, an actual old man?

Kokoro Connect- this mishmash of ideas that's i've recently completed was perhaps the most relatable anime I've ever watched in how it portrayed the characters with more humanizes struggles than even many expert writers would manage. It breaks every barrier of the interpersonal relationships and brings out the best, the worst, and the most emotional.

Kotoura-san- Now this one is, admittedly, comedy. However, on the sheer power of it's first episode alone you'll get a pretty great dose of drama and while the series a heartwarming one about moving past the tragedies of the past (thus overall ending up being a lighthearted slice of life beyond the first episode), it's quite worth the watch. Heck, it made me write a two-part analysis here on RPN just for that first episode.

Made in Abyss- before Devilman was stealing the hype train the big thing was Made in Abyss. It is full on fantasy, truly immersive and with great world building. The drama is real and not forced as it is more environmental than interpersonal. It also features a distinct originality and lack of concern for what might be too shocking so be really prepared.

Planetarian: Chiisa a Hoshi no Yume - this is a very short anime, I think it overall is shorter than an anime movie, but it's not any less effective with it's drama just because of that

Plastic memories- Ironically I don't remember this one well enough to give you a list of good and bad points. I remember it was pretty much within your interests though and many too tens put it in best anime dramas.

Sakura no Pet na Kanojo- Wondering who the #1 recommendation is? This one! Pet girl is a terrific anime about the realistic drama or born talent and genius versus the disappointing results of hard work, but the ultimate notion that that is only more of a reason to keep pushing forward. It seriously explores several dramatic elements and ideas that others would shy away from or only lightly touch, and every character is super focused despite the light comedic veil.

Sukasuka- It's got nice drama, but it's difficult to pin down on the exact genre or idea because it mixes many things. However, the ideas and characters going in it are the genuine article.

Sora no Method- mix the epitome of cuteness with drama and you get this. Half the time the tone isn't really properly conveying it, but the episodes make a good job reminding you that beyond the surface the drama is always there and character lives are far beyond just one layer.

Yuuki Yuuna no Yusha De Aru- you wouldn't think a magical girl anime could so well fit drama, but let me tell you this one is just mind blowing. I'm afraid I would start ranting about how great it is if I went into further detail, so I'all leave it at that. If I had to give a third best recommendation, this would be it.

Hope these are useful to you!

I'll be honest with ya... you aren't making this easy. Your tastes are a little bit all over the place and hard to pin down. I'll see what i can do though.

The fate franchise is perhaps my main recommendation this time. It has strong females everywhere, it's main concept while not historical has a dedicated basis on many surprisingly well-researched and incorporated element from history and it's myths alike, worldwide. It has elements of romance and melodrama, and it has shounen elements alike. Depending on which installment you watch, it also brings such things as say, shoujo and mahou shoujo and slice of life.

Re:creators - on a similar note, the ultimate meta anime and my favorite anime, re:creators also brings together plenty of very diverse elements in a cohesive story. It is an anime best described as a story about stories, and it is a bit slow at first but totally worth that for what is gained from it.

Tsuzere Children- this is an episodic anime with small episodes, but it goes over ALL that stuff about anime dating. I haven't finished it yet, but it is finished and it was an awesome, funny, heartwarming, relatable experience with simple but effective ships.

Action Heroine Cheer Fruits- again, excellent melodrama having been one of the only anime to make me cry, it also has slice of life elements, nice comedy, and it's about a group of girls helping their town by essentially putting on a power rangers show

Boku No Hero Academia- one candidate for the title of the greatest shounens and it's not hard to see why. Despite the simplicity and adherence to certain formulaic aspect it's great execution truly makes it stand out among it's peers and create an enternaing experience that allows it's later more creative exploration to truly flourish.

Chunnibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai- This anime is adorable, this anime is funny, a great slice of life mixed with nice dramatic elements that pose the question of whether you want the character to follow the path that is best for them or the path they most want.

Koabyashi-San chi no dragon maid- an adorable slice of life which a grounded approach that still managed to rock the hype recently. As a bonus is features distinctively progressively elements in terms of the relationships between characters, having a main character that is in fact designed to be hard to tell if she is a man or woman, but not the way traps are usually done, or the development of a simple nice friend relationship.

Kokoro connect- my hands are kinda starting to die, so if I may be so rude, do refer to my post above this one for info on Kokoro connect. It does have a love triangle at a point, but it's not dealt with the harem way and if you go with it to the end, there is a little surprise for ya .

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha- now I know you said you hate sci-fi and I would be lying if said there was no sci-fi here, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised by it's mix of science and magic, plus even if you don't like it that much from then on out, the sci-fi elements only get introduced in the last few episodes of the first season, so it's nothing that would ruin your ability to experience this one.

Net-Juu no Susume- this an anime with a deep understanding of actual gamers and their video games, while still being an intelligent, structured and great romance / slice of life. It has comedic elements and while it doesn't have as many meoldramatic elements it does have some inherent drama to it's premise.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yusha de Aru- Amazing melodrama, less slice of life elements but still decent comedy here and there, and bears a great take on the magical Girl genre.

This list is kinda shorter, but hopefully you'll enjoy these. Feel free to come back for more anytime you like!

Oh Coward Coward another good one would be "Mekaku City Actors". It's pretty great, especially considering it was originally a series of vocaloids before being anime and manga. It has the kind of tripper style the devilman has and is, if you pay attention, pretty deep.

Oh and naturally the monogatari franchise. But that one is pretty hardcore in terms of trying to decipher what anyone is trying to say.

hehe... my tastes are picky. That’s why I’m having a hard time finding a good anime.

But, yeah, thank you~

My best advise there is don't. I understand that you want to watch what's best and most entertaining but thinking of it like that will only hurt your actual chances of getting it.

ive tried so many times... so many times...

Well, I'm not telling you not to think about that at all, in fact it's the opposite. For instance, instead of trying to think of tropes, go into the actual details of the character. The depths are found in details. Nowadays, not the broad strokes.

Hey thanks for all these! I'm going to try some of them today :D

I know this post is literally a year old, but I’d like some recommendations.

1. It doesn’t matter much to me, as long as there’s at least 12+ episodes already out.
2. I have a deep love for romance, shoujo, shounen, school, sci fi, horror/psychological horror, comedy, slice of life, and reverse harems (but having one or more of those traits not in it is fine). I dislike harems, ecchi (although light or moderate fan service is okay, just don’t go High School of the Dead on me. . .), and some historical. Anything else is fine and I don’t care too much if it’s in or not.
3. I’d prefer there’s a manga if the ending isn’t really clear, like in Kaichou wa Maid Sama. Also, just for good measure, here’s a list of anime I have seen.

Sword Art Online, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Fairy Tail, Psycho Pass, Mirai Nikki, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Kiss him not me, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, Boku no Hero Academia, One Piece, The “Fate” series, Highschool of the Dead, Boku no Pico (uggh I regret watching it), Attack on Titian, One Punch Man, Re: Zero, Himouto! Umaru-Chan, Luky Star, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Butler, Soul Eater, Vampire Knight, Kakegurui, Free!, Yuri on Ice, and Shokugeki no Souma/Food Wars. (Hope That narrowed down the possible list)
