Chase nodded when told he'd have to explain further later on. Though when Nurse Ruth came to inform him and have him escorted to Mackenzie's room she mentioned his son, presumably Brody. Which meant the man was likely already back there with her. Next thing he knew the woman was addressing him, telling him to babysit and mentioning his lack of a shirt. Any other person would have received a back-talking but fact was the older woman made him more nervous than any creature ever had, though with her back to him he did roll his eyes. Chase caught the glance from Adelaide just before Morgan barged in wearing her own clothes, he stepped closer and retrieved his shirt from her in small relief. "Malcolm and presumably Brody are here." He told her softly, slipping his right arm into the shirt while it hung low. Then carefully pulled it on so that his right arm wouldn't be forced over his head. Guessing she was going to return to Adelaide's side he himself moved to sit on one side of the woman.

Ashley-May could hardly believe her luck; she had everything she could want: Eli at her side, Liam's Grace was gone and Mac would be returned to them soon enough. She sighed quietly, leaning her head against Elijah's, enjoying the quiet silence while they could; she half expected Chase to have followed her back here, he had been so demanding and insistent to find out about the well being of Liam (though she truly appreciated his insistence). Coming to realize that she would not be followed she gently kissed Elijah's cheek. "I should let you rest, love." She said quietly, shifting to crawl out of the bed even though she wanted to stay. She knew he'd done a number on his sutures, no doubt earning him more time on bed rest. "I'm going to go to the Clinic House and sleep, okay? I have my cell phone - call me the second Will comes back or Mac wakes up, alright?"

zlawuat.jpg

Morgan watched quietly as the older woman finished off whatever she was doing with Adelaide before packing away her things and disappearing into the back of the clinic; she had definitely not missed Chase rolling his eyes at the woman but it had been done cautiously behind her back. He mentioned Malcolm and Brody and Morgan nodded, coming to stand near Adelaide. "I knew he'd come," She said quietly, wincing slightly - the bruising along her jaw and neck making it painful to speak but she knew she was already healing. "I called him before, when we first found out about Mac; he deserved to know."

She looked over Adelaide, giving the woman a slight smile. "Did they give you the all clear? You going to be alright?"

Gaveel watched over William as he performed the first portion of the ritual between himself and the soul of the prophet; he managed to mimic sigil with high accuracy, as though he had been doing this naturally his whole life. It was another curiosity she would have to note later but it was clear the was ready. She stepped closer to the pair, raising a hand to hold at the back of William's neck. "You'll need to focus, feel what I am doing within you and copy it. I don't have a better explanation than that." She soon focused her Grace through Will's, letting it ebb within him slowly, only slightly until she felt him attempting to wield his own. It was unruly, as she expected, but she nudged and coerced him to funnel his focus and energy into the sigils.

Mackenzie glared at Gaveel as she had approached, then watched as she did something to Will. She couldn't see or feel what was happening until it was suddenly upon her. A sudden intense heat drove through her. Her eyes opened wide and her hands held Will tightly; it wasn't painful, or even caused any discomfort, it was just ... there. Within seconds it was as though a whole new sense was opened up to her; she could feel Will. Not with her hand as it clutched his arm, or the warmth of him in front of her, it was like she had a sixth sense that only related to the man before her and then the world turned to black.

Elijah 8.jpg
Elijah enjoyed he and Ash's brief moment together, head tucked against her and close to dozing peacefully. As Ash turned to kiss his cheek he smiled; he was sorely tempted to ask her to stay with him, but resisted the urge. She needed -- and frankly deserved -- as comfortable a rest as she could get after the day she'd had. He nodded at her request. "I will," Eli said, glancing at the cell phone on the small bedside table where Ruth had placed it for him. "Though no promises I'll be coherent by that time," he teased. He took her hand in his own, squeezing it gently before releasing it. "Get some rest, love."

Adelaide Main.jpg
Adelaide gave Chase a smile as the man came to take a seat alongside her -- clearly not even werewolves were immune to Ruth's particular brand of "charisma". She remained silent as Morgan and he discussed the presence of the Cannonach men in Mackenzie's room. As Morgan asked after her health, she smiled to her and nodded. "I'll be fine, I think," Addy said before beginning to playfully nudge Chase with her elbow. Remembering his injury, she thought better of it and simply lay a hand on his forearm. "I've got this guy looking out for my wellbeing. Nurse's orders," she said with a wink.

After a moment, Adelaide's smile slowly faded. She cast a glance down the hall toward Mac's room, hesitating before speaking. "I know they're her family and they deserve to see her, but I'm worried," Addy bit her lip. "As much as I hate to say this... if-- when Mac wakes up, it might be best if the first two faces she sees aren't the two of them. As far as she knows, the Pack was here to attack us and her father & brother have been pursuing her since she was still a child."

Addy frowned, kneading her hands anxiously. "I just don't want her to hurt herself in a panic."

Will Looking.jpg
S34NpV7.jpg

William had felt stuck, helpless even, as he attempted to work the Grace. He could feel it inside of him, but it felt as if it was trapped behind a wall as he desperately searched for a door -- an "on switch". Then he felt Gaveel's warm touch at the back of his neck, electricity shooting down his spine, filling his body. Like that, she showed him the door -- and he opened it. The next several seconds passed like hours' worth of trial-and-error. In the simplest of terms, the Grace was like one massive muscle residing within him -- complete with its own nervous system that his brain had no access to. It was his soul that touched it, nursed it, coerced it. Eyes closed and concentrating intently, Will flexed that muscle experimentally. It reminded him of his first tentative steps in physical therapy with the prosthesis, though far more difficult and abstract in nature.

Finally, with Gaveel's ever-present influence, William managed to direct the Grace toward the runes, warmth coursing through him and into Mackenzie. He felt the connection the instant it was made, becoming utterly aware of his lover's presence -- every bit of feedback from her body and soul present in his mind nearly as much as his own. It was a bizarre and alien sensation and for a moment he almost felt too crowded, as if he couldn't accommodate two souls and the Grace at the same time. But then one was gone, along with the feeling of Mackenzie's hand against him.

William opened his eyes to see thin air in front of him where Mackenzie had stood. Fists clenched, he whirled around to face Gaveel, furious demand on the tip of his tongue. She cut him off with a simple gesture of her hand. "She is fine. With the ritual complete, her soul's presence here was no longer needed. It has been sent back to Earth, to her physical form. She'll awaken soon, with your help. But first..." the seraph turned to glance at the table pointedly.

Will followed her gaze, his eyes falling on an ornate lacquered black-and-gold box resting at the edge. He looked back at Gaveel, who said nothing, merely watching. William stepped forward, reaching down to grasp the box as it seemed to call to him in a way he could hardly describe. Opening the container, it took him a moment to realize what he was seeing inside. It was a sword, one that reminded him of the blade the angel in the cemetery had brandished... though far more imposing. The blade, just over two feet long, had a triangular cross-section that came to a wickedly sharp point. Its brilliantly polished platinum-colored metal seemed to effortlessly catch and reflect the light in the room. A simple handguard consisting of four prongs protruded out in each direction, protecting the black hilt and golden pommel below. William reached out to take the blade in his hand without hesitation, the grip seemingly familiar despite the fact that he was positive he'd never seen such a weapon, much less handled one.

William idly rotated the sword in his hand, a detail on one of the flats at the base of the blade catching his eye: three Enochian runes, arranged vertically. Once again he managed to translate them, eyes widening as he murmured. "Hadrian."

Gaveel nodded, the slightest hint of a smile on her face before disappearing. "That was your father's Angel Sword, touched by the Lord Himself. The Celestial Forge in Heaven crafted one for each of the Grigori: Michael's chosen elite, the watchers and guardians of humanity in its earliest days... before they succumbed to corruption."

Will looked up at the angel, biting his lip before speaking. "Did you kill him?"

Gaveel was silent for a moment before nodding. "God's Word was clear where his actions were concerned. He was among our most dedicated soldiers, but after his 'indiscretions'..."

"Creating me, you mean," William said, somewhat dryly.

Gaveel nodded again. "He had no interest in eternal imprisonment. He knew, I think, that every moment he spent fighting us was more time for you and your mother to escape."

"And here I stand..." Will remarked quietly.

"And here you stand," she parroted. "Keep that blade close. You'll learn to summon it to your side in time. It will be crucial in keeping the Prophet safe in the days ahead. Demons, monsters, even angels and gods -- there are few beings in all of Creation that would not fear that sword." If Gaveel was nervous at the prospect of having revealed the blade's ability to slay angels while in such close proximity to the man she had just admitted to orphaning, she didn't show it. She allowed Will a moment further to examine the weapon before speaking up again, "Let us continue."

Chase was sat forwards in the seat when he let out a tired sigh at Morgan's comment of calling Brody. "I agree but maybe it would have been better to wait, I'm guessing he took off from the camp after you two spoke." It was clear he wasn't scolding her about it or say she'd done wrong, just concern after the fact. Afterwards he felt Adelaide's hand on his forearm alongside some small humor, he gave the woman a small smile. "Forced labor." He replied amusedly.

Chase's own smile faded as Adelaide's did, confused until she spoke up. The man shifted in his seat, a hand reaching up to rub at the back of his neck. "That's a valid concern...not entirely sure my mug would be too much better." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, unsure of how the red headed woman saw him these days. He turned his head to look at her with raised brows, "So either you just signed yourself up for Mackenzie duty or you're going to have to pull Ash out of Elijah's room to do it."

Ginny finishes her meal, and Tara lets out a long breath that she didn’t realize she was holding. The effort of resisting that smell was immense, and she was really worried, because she was also getting it from Elijah, and everyone else that was wounded. It’s ironic. She’s not allowed to smoke in the clinic, but the clinic is the place she really needs to smoke.

Ginny is relaxed, closing her eyes, and smiling slightly. She’s going to be alright, she knows that. At the very least, the vampires will be around for a while, and she feels like they’ll protect her, if no one else will. But she knows that she has her human allies as well. So, just for now, she’ll let go, and allow herself to feel safe.

She smiles a bit more, feeling sleep begin to take hold of her. She needs to rest, and she knows a certain god might pay her a visit tonight.

Tara just watches her drift off, still concerned for her. She doesn’t understand what happened. How did Ginny know what was happening in the graveyard, and for what possible reason did she run toward the danger? It’s good to see her resting, though.

Ashley-May smiled lovingly at Elijah as he told her to go and sleep; she knew it wouldn't be immediately, she didn't know how long it would be before William returned with Mackenzie and everyone sitting inside the clinic exhausted wouldn't do any of them good. She stepped out of Elijah's room, thinking to return the stethoscope to her drawer but instead hung it over her neck, deciding to bring it with her. She wanted it close to allay any fears she may have when away from the Clinic. Not feeling Liam was left her an odd feeling of emptiness, like something that had been there for so long was now just ... gone.

Morgan frowned slightly, glancing to the door that lead to the back as Adelaide suggested someone stay with the Cannonach's for when Mac woke up. "Probably best it isn't me then," She said quietly. As much as she wanted to be there for Brody she doubted that a third wolf in the room would do Mac any good; as it was Addy had already explained to her just how restrained Mac had been when they had come for Joe's funeral. She glanced between Chase and Adelaide, waiting to see which of the two was going to submit.

"We will be relaying the Prophet visions over the next several days; items that other Prophets from her lineage had known a millennia ago and other visions that we have just learned ourselves." Gaveel paused, frowning slightly, she glanced to several angels nearby. Thor has returned She spoke through "Angel Radio" and two nearby angels nodded their agreement. Find his body; see if he can be healed, as we agreed. They nodded again and teleported away to start their search for the fallen god. Gaveel returned her attention to William and continued. "Our hopes with Thor using the Grace from Alaric will be that he can delay the rising of the First Sin long enough that we have a chance to prevent it. The First Sin has been gaining momentum as of late and without some intervention he will rise and all of our worlds will burn with it."

She looked over various articles at the table. "Part of your mission will not only be protecting the Prophet but assisting in recovering as many Seals as possible from Earth. When God sealed Adam in the Abyss he created sixty-seven seals and scattered them around the three plains of existence he created: Heaven, Hell and Earth. Adam already has the Lord of Hell in his pocket, they have successfully dismantled twenty three that existed in Hell. Here in Heaven we have reinforced the twenty-one under our possession; there are twenty-three unaccounted for on Earth. She will be given the locations of each of the Seal and the task that is required in order to reinforce the seal and prevent Adam's freedom." She glanced to the man, making sure he was following. "Hell and the minions of Adam will attempt to eliminate her once they discover her existence."

Mackenzie stirred slowly, her mind slowly becoming aware of her surroundings. No, not her surroundings so much than herself. She arched, every muscle in her body screamed in pain as she willed herself to move, or even open her eyes. It felt like hours before she could do just that, emerald eyes opening to slits to stare at the white washed ceilings. She knew immediately where she was; this wasn't the first time she'd woken in this place, though she distinctly recalled the last time had decent enough pain relieves she didn't feel like she was death warmed over. She frowned slightly as movement caught her eyes, someone was standing near her, leaning against the wall. She didn't recognize the man at first, he was old, his hair white hadn't been so while the last time she had seen him. It was... odd.

Her eyes widened suddenly and her jaw clenched as she recognized the man, her father standing in the room with her. Her heart jumped into her throat, she could feel it pounding in her chest. She tried to move and was met only with agonizing resistance. Something had happened, to her, and she couldn't remember what. Finally she was able to move her arm but by then the machines were in alarm behind her; giving her away to the man. More movement, now on the opposite side of the bed her name, her real name, being called. Her eyes traveled to see Brody standing over the bed, speaking to her. She heard nothing; adrenaline coursing through her, forcing her hand to toss back to sheets. Lips parted in a grimace of pain and a silent yell as she attempted to roll from the bed to get away from her would be attackers.

Nurse-Ratched-Unsung-Films-2.jpg

Sandy had been standing in the back, avoiding Ruth at all costs, near the nursing station when she heard the first alarm sound in Mackenzie's room. She didn't immediately react, the machines went of a steady intervals to make sure the nurses were continuously doing their checks, however the sound of the second machine - the heart-rate monitor no less - sounded off Sandy tossed her magazine aside and dashed down the hall to the hunters room. She paused only briefly in the door way as she witness the two men attempting to subdue Mac, each holding two limbs, booming voices telling her to calm down. She pushed her way past the father, elbowing him aside; Mac's eyes met hers as she came between the two. "It's okay Mac," She said quickly, Mac had grabbed her shirt and pulled her close speaking hoarsely. Sandy wasn't sure if she was asking to run or being told to run but either way the message went unheard. "Just relax, you're safe here, okay?" Try as she might she couldn't pry the woman's hands from her scrub shirt.

Ruth strode through the door glaring at the two men, "Out." she commanded, coming around the other side of the bed to forcably place herself between Brody and Mackenzie. When neither men bothered to move she turned to glare at them. "You're causing undue distress on my patient. Wolf or not I want you out of her room and out of my clinic until I tell you otherwise!" She hand stopped performing her tasks, clearing the alarms from the machinery whilst Sandy still tried to free herself. Ruth was swift at connecting the painkiller already hanging at Mackenzie's IV and turning the drip on high.

Still the men stood in the doorway watching. She opened her mouth to shout a second time but the father of the two thought better of it and took his son with him out into the hall and away from sight. She looked over her patient, already seeing the effects of the painkillers do their work; her eyes diluted and Mac soon released Sandy from her iron grip. "There," Ruth crooned smoothly as she started to tuck Mackenzie's limbs back into bed and beneath the blankets. She remained at her side a while longer, looking over the machines to make certain the woman was resting well once more.

Sandy, in the confusion, had knocked the journal and paper next to Mackenzie's bed onto the floor. With the issues settled she quickly picked them up, tucking the note into the journal lest it fly away again, before returning it to the bedside table. She jumped when Ruth spoke to her directly. "I want you to stay in here tonight; she seems to be the center of things again and the last thing I need is for more sutures to be torn. Understood?" Sandy nodded and watched Ruth storm out the door, no doubt to speak her mind to the two family members.

Will Looking.jpg
Will heard the exchange between Gaveel and the two angels regarding Thor. Well, "heard" was a strong term; her words had simply appeared in his mind, like a radio picking up someone else's traffic. By the sound of it, Thor's confrontation with The First Sin hadn't gone as planned. William's eyes were locked on Gaveel as she explained the situation to him. Mackenzie was a Prophet, meaning she would be "downloading" considerable amounts of information regarding the First Sin. He hated the idea, in truth. She was already an Oracle -- a status that had proven useful, but caused her no small amount of pain in the meantime. He could only imagine the kind of strain Heaven's demands would place on her, but he knew protesting would do neither of them any good. It was his job to ease her burden... and keep her safe from those that would undoubtedly come to silence her.

Will absorbed the information regarding the Seals -- their preservation the only thing between Adam and Earth. Judging by their number and the fact that they were presumably scattered across Earth, he knew the job would require all hands on deck. This task was bigger than him and Mac and the others, bigger than Vitae. The mission ahead of them seemed monumental, especially bearing in mind that they would hardly go uncontested by Mur and Adam's other minions.

After a moment of silent reflection, William nodded slowly to Gaveel. "I understand. Is--" he began to voice a question when he felt it. Even across the gulf between Eden and Earth, he could feel that Mackenzie had awoken back home.

And she was terrified.

Every muscle in his body tensed up as he wrapped his hand reflexively around the grip of the angel sword. He turned to look at Gaveel. "Mackenzie, the soul link, she's in trouble," Will said, almost pleadingly.

Adelaide 3.jpg
Adelaide nodded at Chase's reply. There was no way she'd put the responsibility on Elijah. While he and Mac were hardly the best of friends, she knew he would be fine for the task of keeping Mac calm with a familiar face. However, he needed rest almost as badly as Mac herself did. "I'll go," Addy said, standing up from her chair and gathering her things when she stopped in her tracks, eyes widening as she felt a sudden surge of emotional energy from the direction of Mackenzie's room, followed soon after by the sound of distant alarm monitors going off as Sandy ran past them.

Addy cursed under her breath, jogging down the hall to pause at the doorway and look inside. Mackenzie's brother and father were obviously distressed by her reaction while Sandy was trying -- and failing -- to calm the hysterical hunter down. Adelaide had seen enough, beginning to step forward to lend a hand when she felt an iron grip around her arm. Turning around, she looked into the stony eyes of Ruth who gave her one grave shake of the head before pulling her briskly aside to march into the room and take charge. Soon enough Brody and Malcolm had been ushered from the room. Addy looked at the two of them while the nurses spoke inside, finally managing to sedate Mac before she did any serious damage to herself.

"I'm sorry you had to see her like that," Adelaide said quietly. "I should have been in there to help calm her down. I'm sure she'll come around once Will is back to explain things to her."

travisbello.jpg

When Adelaide signed herself up for Mackenzie duty he suddenly realized that if she was keeping an eye on the bedridden woman who was going to keep an eye on her? Chase mulled over for a second as the woman stood up, then he could suddenly hear the rapid beating of the machines in back. The mans head cocked sideways as he tried to decipher who's room though by Adelaide's reaction it was clear it was Mackenzie's. Chase muttered a curse as he lifted from the seat to follow the woman down the hall, only halting a few feet behind her when the hallway became crowded from the other two Werewolves being put out of the room.

"We had no idea when she'd wake up." He chimed in as a response to her apology to the others, as he stepped closer. "She went down just before the pack arrived. No clue as to how it turned out, mind you I'm sure she's dead set on assuming. Let her get brought up to speed before..." Chase finished with a small movement of the hands, not needing to spell it out. Though he wasn't naive enough to think she'd be willing to see her father and brother even after she was informed, just hopeful. One look past the two saw a rather unhappy looking Nurse Ruth headed their direction. Chase interceding would do little good so he simply held his ground.

Morgan was beyond confused as she watched the two dash for the back; she could hear the machinery and the noise with it, but honestly didn't know what it was about. She followed behind and stepped into the hall way to see Malcolm and Brody ejected from Mackenzie's room. She listened as Chase attempted to give an explanation, she finally understanding what could have gone wrong. Neither of the men looked happy with the answer they received, Malcolm nodded gruffly whilst Brody just looked hurt. She frowned slightly and maneuvered her way closer to him, she hated seeing him in pain. She knew how much Mac meant to him; she'd spent years listening to him talk about what she was like after she had 'disappeared' with the Nest. She couldn't imagine just how painful it was for him now that she was here and he still couldn't be near her.

As she came closer to Brody she gently touched his arm, happy when he turned to drag her into his arms and hug her. More than once Brody had told her she reminded him of Mac - old Mac, Skye, from when they were kids.

Malcolm shook his head slightly as Chase and the woman attempted their apologies. "I don't know what I was expecting." He said cautiously, turning to see the older nurse exiting the patient room and closing the door behind her. She was fierce looking but Malcolm didn't back away or stand down as she marched towards them. "Is she alright?" He didn't think the older woman was expecting the inquiry, she frowned but then nodded.

"She'll be fine," Ruth stated in reply. "But no more visiting tonight; she needs rest and quiet. You can all come back tomorrow, mid morning, during visiting hours and one of you can visit at a time." She firmly planted her fists on her hips, turning to look over each of them slowly. "Don't make me tell you a second time, time to go."

S34NpV7.jpg

Gaveel frowned as William came under some duress. She regarded him carefully, calculating before the man spoke. Her found only deepened, uncertain how it could be possible for the Prophet to come under fire so quickly but she didn't hesitate in reaching for William and teleporting them both down the Clinic where she lay. Upon arrival Gaveel regarded the sole human sitting in the room. The young woman looked dumbfounded but Gaveel reacted faster than the human. She reached out and touched the girls forehead, rendering her unconscious, watching the human female collapse back into her chair.

She looked about the room maliciously, inspecting for any intruders but found none.

bTU0wF0.png

Mackenzie fought the sudden desire for sleep, willing her eyes to remain open long after Ruth had left the room. It wasn't safe, not if the wolves were inside the colony. She needed to warn people, stop Ash from coming home and keep Will safe. Her emerald orbs watched Sandy as the girl continued to speak to her like she was a soft kitten, tucking in the sheets around her; Mac couldn't understand most of what she was saying, the words garbled and she had no doubt it had to do with the medication coursing through her veins.

There was a sudden flash of light and two figures appeared near her; at first she thought they were gods, possibly Thanatos come to reap her as he promised to do all those days ago, but much to her confusion one of the two beings was Will. She was both relieved and confused to see him standing at her bed side. She willed her hand to move, lazily pulling itself out from beneath the tightly tucked covers to reach for him, trying to form words of warning; he needed to run.

William was opening his mouth to calm Sandy in an effort he had little expectation to succeed when Gaveel moved, placing her hand on the young nurse's head. The woman's eyes seemed to roll back as she collapsed back into the chair. For a split second Will thought Gaveel had murdered Sandy, but his fears were allayed as he still felt life flowing from the woman. She was unconscious, but otherwise unharmed. She almost looked peaceful as she dozed in the chair.

Will turned his attention immediately toward Mackenzie, going to her bedside and taking hold of her outstretched hand. "It's okay, Mac," he murmured. "I'm here. You're safe." He paused, unsure what had upset her so severely. Hearing the sound of voices down the hall outside, he turned to glance at the door but was unable to focus his mind enough to get a picture of who all stood out there, but more than one was a wolf. Understanding dawned then on Will as he turned to look back at the fear in his fiancee's glazed eyes. Only one kind of presence could evoke that kind of reaction from her.

William squeezed her hand, "Mac, I know. The Pack is here... your family, too. But they don't want to hurt you or anyone else. We have a truce. They didn't attack the Colony. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself." He glanced at the door again before sighing. "You don't have to see them if you don't want to. But just know that you'll be safe. I won't let you get hurt again."

adelaide-3-jpg.377925

Adelaide recognized the tone in Ruth's voice and knew better than to question the woman's judgement. However, something else had stolen her attention: a presence inside Mac's room, a surge of power. She had been about to alarm the others when she stopped herself. The presence felt... familiar. With the deal in place with Heaven, she had an idea of exactly who was at Mac's side right now. Nothing good could come from creating a scene. With slight reluctance she remained silent, reaching up to lightly squeeze Morgan and Chase's shoulders. "Let's get Ash and head back to the house. She needs to rest and so do we." Addy glanced at Brody and Malcolm with slight hesitation, not wanting the two men to be left out but unsure how to reach out to them.

Chase felt for the other two wolves, knowing full well this was far from any sort of reunion they'd wanted. The older woman behind them was telling them to leave, at least this part of the clinic. Then Adelaide was stepping in to offer a place for them to go, though it was clear by her gaze at the other wolves she was unsure if the invitation was for everyone. Chase himself was unsure of how he felt about it as well as the group moved towards the lobby once again, "Maybe we should think about heading back soon." He offered, glancing towards the other three pack members curiously. The man had no doubt the other two men would likely want to remain at the clinic or nearby while Mackenzie was injured, though with how she'd reacted to them their spirits might not be up for it. "It's been a long night for all of us, and we'll be back in the morning." Though he gathered tomorrow would be a long day with far too much politics and talks for his taste.

Malcolm nodded and lead the troupe of people out of the hall back into the main lobby of the clinic as they made their decisions, "I think Chase is right, we'll head back to the pack and stay there for tonight and come back in the morning." He looked specifically at his son as he said this, he knew well enough Brody's temperament when it came to Skye. The fact that she was injured no doubt left the man torn.

"I'll sleep here, in my car." Brody stated, still standing with Morgan in his arms, she was a small comfort to him. He appreciated the efforts she made to make him feel better, more that she had gone out of her way to tell him what had happened to his sister; he knew Emile wouldn't have told him until the Alpha had returned to the pack, that way he could have stopped him from coming. He also knew that she'd get an earful from their Alpha for it as well.

Malcolm shook his head. "We both know if you stay here you'll try and get back into her room and disobeying the nurse with her patient, her human hunter patient won't be winning us any rewards come the meeting tomorrow. We need to stay on our best terms here and I won't be letting you destroy our foot hold." He paused and sighed. "Skye isn't going anywhere, you saw her, you know she'll be okay." He was satisfied when Brody finally nodded.

Morgan glanced between Adelaide and Chase, then Malcom and Brody as the both made different suggestions of where to go for the night. As much as she wanted to go 'home' and sleep comfortably she didn't want to leave Adelaide alone. "I'm going to stay," She glanced to the Beta as he glared at her. "Not here, I mean, with Addy. She was hurt tonight, badly, and I don't think she should stay alone." She smiled sheepishly to Addy. "If you don't mind, that is. I just want to make sure you're okay, I don't want you to be alone if something happens."

Gaveel watched with mild interest and the Nephilim attempted to console the Prophet, the reasoning behind it made little difference to her honestly, nor did it help with what the Prophet was needed for. She stepped closer to look over the Prophet for a moment before speaking to William. "Place your hand on her head," She instructed and waited for the man to follow, her own hand had risen to touch at the back of his arm, once more allowing her Grace to flow through himself; guiding him. "Feel your Grace as it moves through you, let it travel from you to her. Think and concentrate on what you wish it to do; feel it move through her body and soul, find the wounds and ailments within her." She allowed this to continue, her own Grace being withdrawn as she felt William take over.

"Picture her wounds closing, her weaknesses disappearing and your Grace healing her body fully. Giving her strength and returning her power." Gaveel paused a moment as she came across something with the Prophet she had not expected. Interesting. She glanced to William to see if he noted it, but wouldn't comment herself.

Mackenzie was far from comforted by Williams words. He knew that the pack was here and yet people were still in the colony. He'd failed her; she had gone down and had been left to him to uphold keeping the people safe and he let them in. Eyes flicked towards the woman with him, narrowing softly as she heard her speaking softly, almost intimately to her lover. Confusion crossed her features as she spoke about Grace, Mac's lips parted to question why, how, he had Grace again when she felt it.

Her eyes widened and she hissed through gritted teeth as she felt the power, his power, coursed through her body. It was electrifying. It was cool and soothing but at times felt so cold it seared within her. She tensed beneath the sensations, hand gripping his tighter as she could feel the wounds within her healing. It only took seconds in all but it felt like hours before it was suddenly gone and she was left breathless laying in bed.

Tara looks around at the others, then to her sleeping friend. “Well, I’m just gonna take the kid to her apartment, I guess. Or maybe I should leave her here so she doesn’t do anything stupid again… agh, I love the kid, but I have no idea what happened tonight! I mean what the hell? We’re just walking back to the apartments, and she suddenly says there are angels in the fcking graveyard! And then she runs toward them?!”

She sighs, taking a breath, and retracting her fangs, which tend to come out when she gets angry, hungry, or frustrated, of which she is currently two. “Sorry. My point is, I have one hell of a report to make. Can someone please look after her?” She asks, looking around at the others.

William did as he was told, placing his hand on Mackenzie's head and following Gaveel's every instruction. He found it easier this time to summon forth his Grace -- he'd found the "on-switch", even if it was still a bit stiff. He wasn't sure he would be able to do it on his own, but as before Gaveel was there to guide him. The soul link between himself and Mackenzie along with their sheer proximity ensured he felt every bit of the panic that coursed through her drug-addled mind, but he forced himself to ignore it and continue on healing her.

His mind focused on each wound, visualizing them and feeling their extent before directing his Grace toward them. It was a strange, abstract feeling -- more art than science, and utterly at odds with his years of medical training. But he couldn't argue with the results. Within moments the last of Mackenzie's major wounds had sealed, Gaveel withdrawing her guidance as Will's eyes opened and he looked down at his fiancee. A slight sense of fatigue washed over him, but he pushed it away. His hand moved from her forehead to brush her hair behind her ear. "Hey," he murmured. "I'll explain everything, I promise... but how do you feel?"

Adelaide Main.jpg
Adelaide didn't argue with the wolves as Malcolm and Chase both decided to leave and return in the morning, the former managing to convince Brody after a brief but terse discussion. She knew it was for the best and fully expected the as of yet silent Morgan to go along with them, but she couldn't hide her surprise when the young woman spoke up and voiced her decision to stay... for her. She smiled, nodding quickly. "I don't mind. I'd appreciate the company." She turned toward Malcolm, nodding respectfully. "So long as it doesn't cause any trouble with the Pack?" She didn't want to disrupt the peace process, nor bring any trouble on Morgan's head for her own selfish wants.

Tara spoke up soon after and Addy turned to look at the Djinn in her charge, dozing peacefully. She felt a pang of sympathy, remembering all too clearly what the young woman had been through not so long ago. She nodded, "She can come with us. There's plenty of room at the house. Will would want her looked after."

When Malcolm decided alongside Chase he looked towards Brody much like the mans father, there was only brief resistance before he gave in to leaving as well. Then Morgan spoke on wanting to stay the night in Vitae, specifically with Adelaide. He watched her curiously, eyes shifting towards the Beta to see the rather clear glare from the older man. Chase knew Malcolm could force her back to the camp though he got the feeling he wouldn't, though with current precarious standing with the colony he couldn't be sure. Clearing his throat he interceded on her behalf, "Considering everything that happened tonight I'd be more comfortable if she stayed as well." The man glanced carefully towards the woman, "I'd stay myself but Emile needs to be brought up to speed on some things. And since..." Glancing Adelaide's direction he gave a small smirk of a smile, "I'm guessing you're staying with Ash and the others, so it means she can keep an eye out." Despite it being a sort of cover, it was still true that Chase wanted someone around just in case. Not that they couldn't handle themselves but with Will still MIA, Elijah bedridden, and Adelaide banged up it made sense.

Turning back towards Malcolm he smiled, "And I'll even explain to Emile that she stayed myself." He offered, in the event Malcolm didn't want to speak to the Alpha about his leaving the mans niece in a colony with hunters. Chase had no doubt Emile wouldn't be pleased with the situation but if he filled the man in on everything he'd understand. It was only until morning after-all.

When the vampire spoke of her young djinn companion running towards the angels Chase turned his attention her direction shaking his head, "Not to mention jumping in front of a charging Werewolf and nearly getting us killed in the process." He hissed low, throwing up a hand that he was done with the conversation for the night. Chase wasn't about to get into it here and now, especially with Nurse Ruth not far. Instead he looked back towards the other male wolves to see if they were ready to leave and Malcolm had accepted Morgan's staying behind.

Brody was more than a little annoyed that Morgan was so willing to stay behind, not because he couldn't -he understood where both Chase and his father stood on why he couldn't be here- but because the girl seemed to be enamored with the human. In just a short amount of time being in their presence he could tell Morgan was at the very least curious about the woman, Adelaide, if he recalled correctly. It wasn't something he was going to battle with her at the moment. Instead he squeezed her shoulders gently and leaned down to plant a kiss on his forehead. "Faire attention." He cautioned before releasing her and stepping away towards the clinic's front doors.

Malcolm gave Chase a brief smile as the man mentioned he'd explain it all to Emile; something Malcolm certainly hadn't been looking forward to. "Alright then, if you think you can manage him." He teased smoothly. The pack had come to accept Chase not only as a pack member but him as a love interest to their Alpha and on both accounts the young man had been well received. Malcolm didn't doubt in the least that Chase would likely be able to explain away why his niece stayed in the colony and have the Alpha agreeing with him.

Morgan smiled and nodded to Brody as he cautioned her to be careful. "Oui, Nita." She flushed slightly as the large man gave her a surprisingly gentle kiss, his whiskers of his bread tickling her skin slightly. She watched Adelaide contently offer her home from the Djinn: it was a perfectly Addy thing to do really, to be the one most injured after their confrontation with ... well everyone and still be concerned for others.

Gaveel nodded with approval as William finished out his Healing, there was much left to be desired in technique but he took to using his Grace naturally. "There isn't much else left to show you," She admitted. "Using your Grace is the same in all instances: when you feel the pull and need of the Prophet focus your Grace on bringing you to where she is and it will teleport you there. We will speak to you again when we have more to deliver. Until then the Prophet will start receiving visions and Prophecies giving you the necessary information to protect the Seals." She stepped away from the bed, tilting her head aside to regard the pair a moment. "Best of luck." She stated finally before teleporting away and returning to Heaven to assist with the remainder of their work.

Mackenzie frowned as Will questioned how she felt, "Fine." She said slowly, her words slurred slightly from the pain reliever still within her system and still flowing in. She glanced to the woman, the angel, as she spoke -none of it making sense, but once she was gone she turned her attention back to Will. "What happened? The pack is here, how?"

Tara sighs, giving a tired smile to Adelaide. “Thank you.” She says softly. She’s glad that she offered, both because she can’t care for Ginny herself, and because she knows that Ginny trusts the psychic. Tara wants to keep the freak outs to a minimum as far as her young friend is concerned. She adjusts her hold, carrying the young woman easily.

She looks to Chase, startled as she hears what he said. “Wait, the kid did what now?” She asks incredulously. “I know she’s reckless, but what?” She sighs, shaking her head. “I guess we’ll just have to wait till she wakes up to ask her. I don’t like what the angel said either. What did she mean by the kid’s master?” She mutters. She is not a happy djinnsitter right now.

Adelaide didn't need her gift to sense Brody's annoyance with the prospect of Morgan staying at the Colony, though he came around soon enough. She smiled as Brody planted a kiss on Morgan's head, but found her eyes drifting to the floor all the same, her heart dropping for a moment. Addy knew Brody was important to Morgan, but she had never answered whether the man was her boyfriend... not that it was any of her business. Satisfied by Malcolm and Chase's response that Morgan staying wouldn't cause any problems with the Pack's Alpha. As the conversation turned toward Ginny, Addy looked at the young dozing Djinn with a concerned frown. She couldn't explain the woman's behavior at the cemetery either.

Addy stepped over to Tara, leaning down to gently place her hand on Ginny's shoulder, giving it a soft shake. "Wake up, hon. It's time to come with us, then you can get some rest."

Will Looking.jpg

William returned Gaveel's nod just before the woman disappeared from before his eyes. He turned back to Mackenzie as she asked him about the Pack's presence in Vitae, thankfully calmer now. He took a deep breath, clasping her hand between both of his as he spoke. "Franklin and the Nest -- they weren't here to help us against the Pack. They were with them the whole time." He knew the information would set her off -- Franklin always did at the best of times -- so he squeezed her hand gently.

"It's okay, Mac. It's not what we thought it was. Chase was right -- they're not here to fight us. They could have killed all of us, they could have killed me," he paused, staring blankly at the opposite wall. "God knows I gave them plenty of reason to," he muttered. "They're interested in stopping the First Sin, same as us. Alliance wasn't them. The only reason they came to Vitae is because the Council has been holding out on us -- you were right about that. Bart was the Pack's inside man -- Malcolm's brother. The Council was holding his granddaughter as a hostage to keep him quiet about Borseti... she's a wolf, but a little girl. They were all in on it except Brendan and the Diffeys. Kept us in the dark, used us to do their dirty work."

He paused before continuing, quietly. "The Angels came for Ash and Liam -- but they're okay, they both are. They took Liam's Grace, transferred it to me as part of a deal. I'm supposed to keep you safe... you're their Prophet, Mac. It's in your bloodline, they said."

Ginny groans, opening her eyes slowly, the blue flames shining in the darkness. She seems confused as to where she is for a solid ten seconds, then nods, remembering. “Right, Vitae…” She mutters.

Tara sighs, resisting the urge to facepalm. “You used your venom on yourself, didn’t you?”

“Little bit, Yeah.” The djinn admits. “Was just getting to the good part too…” she yawns widely, still bleary, wishing she was still hallucinating. She likes that reality so much more than this one.

Tara sets her down gently, keeping the blanket wrapped around her. “You’re gonna stay with Adelaide tonight, alright kiddo? I don’t feel good leaving you alone.” She murmurs.

“Sounds great.” Ginny replies, smiling at the psychic. “Thanks for that.” She goes to stand with Addy, still bleary from her dreams.

"I've managed him so far haven't I?" Chase shot back at Malcolm with a sly smirk. Though when the two other wolves started for the exit he spoke up, "Wait up for me, I'll just be a minute. One of you is my ride back." With a nod he turned back towards Morgan whilst Adelaide handled the Djinn, "I covered for you a little but mostly it was the truth. I know this is more of a..." Chase's eysight drifted towards Adelaide, "..personal visit for you. But keep an eye out alright? Between Angels, and the colony adjusting to the nest and pack things could get tense. Some people are already leaving Vitae so it's safe to assume there could be a few planning to stay and fight back. Which could make you or them a target, so call me if anything happens this time okay?" It was clear he was serious even though he was smiling, and out of the corner of his eye he saw Ash in the hall nearby.

The man gave Morgan a gentle pat on the back in goodbye before moving towards the blonde, "Ash!" He called out quietly to get her attention while moving closer. "I'm leaving but I'll be back in the morning, Morgan's going to stay though. And before you ask, no I did not ask her to. You going to be all right?" His eyes were soft as he looked at the woman staying strong through the cluster of the night. Chase couldn't help but ask and worry with her closest friends and family scattered and injured, not to mention her own ordeal with the Angels and Liam losing his grace.

Morgan gave Chase a rather sheepish smile as the older man called her out on Adelaide. To be honest she wasn't certain why the woman was so intriguing but she felt for the witch and physic and worried for her health and safety as though she'd known her for years. She nodded, then regretted the gesture as it made her wince. "I promise, anything happens you'll be the first I call." She wouldn't make the same mistake twice - she knew that she had failed him earlier when Da Ji had come near Mackenzie and set off ... something. She waited quietly as Adelaide collected the Djinn and Chase went to speak to Ash as she came to meet the rest of them.

Ashley-May smiled seeing Chase up and moving better than he had been - it was rather amazing just how quickly he could heal. She knew he'd been shot before and recovered from that wound swiftly as well. "I'll be fine." She said quietly. "Liam's okay too. I just checked on Eli, he's resting." She looked to Addy, aware of the two men within the main lobby that were clearly waiting for something, she assumed they were with Chase. "I'm going to stay at the Clinic House tonight, I have my phone on me, I want to be near for when Will comes back. I assume you're coming back in the morning... maybe with this boyfriend of yours....? Come by the house I'll make you breakfast, okay?"

Mackenzie's lips parted as her eyes brow furrowed in confusion. She felt like half of what Will had told her was gibberish. Franklin would never betray her, but she knew Will wouldn't lie to her. She wasn't surprised to learn that the Council had skeletons in their closet but the fact that they actually had a person - a wolf no less, had come as a shock. Not to mention Will had called Bart her father's brother. It was all too much to hear at once. She squeezed her eyes shut but stilled as Will mentioned angels coming for Ash and Liam. She watched him a moment, confused but concerned. "They're safe?" It wasn't a statement she thought she would live to say; she had been ready to summon Mur and make a deal to keep Ash and her child alive. "I mean, they took his Grace? So she'll live? And they won't hunt them down later?"

Adelaide nodded at Ginny's thanks, smiling at the young Djinn before holding out a hand to help her to her feet. Addy turned to watch the exchange between Chase and Ashley-May. The latter seemed all right, even happy, all things considered. The psychic would take that as a good sign, both for Elijah and Liam. Hearing the woman mention that she would be staying at the Clinic House, she knew better than to try and pull her away to the house on Council Row. It was good that one of them be close by albeit far enough to avoid Ruth's wrath. "Goodnight. Stay safe; I'll see y'all in the morning," Addy called out quietly, giving a wave to Chase, Ash, and Tara before giving a respectful nod to Brody & Malcolm.

With that, she gestured for Ginny and Morgan to follow her outside so that they could begin the walk to the house. Adelaide took her time, for her own sake as well as her companions. Turning aside to Morgan, she gave the
young wolf a sheepish smile. "Thanks... for staying. I know it's not what you planned on."

Will Looking.jpg
William could see the confusion on Mackenzie's face as she attempted to process the information he was supplying. As much as he would have liked to wait for her to rest and recover further (not to mention get over the effects of the drugs), he couldn't afford her having an "episode" where she lashed out at Chase or some other member of the Pack without knowing the context of their presence. Still, he was gladdened to hear the relief and near-disbelief in her tone as she inquired about Ashley-May and Liam as well as they deal they had made.

He nodded with a smile. "That's right. The Grace is gone -- he'll be born a human, like I was. Ashley-May's fine. Already in mother hen mode, I think," he said with a chuckle, squeezing Mac's hand. "Heaven has no reason to go after either of them anymore. They have bigger worries on their mind... and Alaric has more than paid the price for all of them," Will said somberly.

Chase frowned a little when Ashley mentioned staying at the clinic house instead. Admittedly he would have preferred the woman to have stayed near Morgan all things considered. But there shouldn't be any problems so maybe he was worried for nothing. Instead he simply gave her a small nod instead of trying to get her to change her mind, then waved gave a wave back towards the three women exiting the clinic before returning his attention to the blonde. An amused smile crossed the mans face at her insistence that he and Emile should come by for Breakfast, "I can't exactly turn down free food now can I? Though this feels like a ploy for you to try and meet the guy I found before you could fix me up with someone." He mused with a smirk, crossing his arms over his chest.

Chase gave it a moment of thought with features relaxing, "No promises but we'll try, how about that? It's not as easy for him to get away, and with the council meeting and all." He shrugged his shoulders, "But I'll be stopping by myself either way." Chase wanted to speak to her on what happened with the wolf bite, but he didn't want to put that on her at the moment. If Will returned and beat him to it then all the better, as the other man might be able to explain it more easily. "And I've got your knockout pills if these ribs don't let me sleep." He mentioned quickly, pulling the bottle from his pocket and giving it a small jiggle so the contents inside bounced around. "Think you said something about taking ten before bed yeah?" He was being sarcastic with a grin, already backing away to head for the exit. Despite anything she would have tried to correct him on he would have just nodded yes as he kept walking until he met up with the other two Werewolves before stepping outside.

Deciding that Malcolm might have questions or want answers he'd decided to ride with the Beta rather than Brody. So when the trio headed into the parking lot he bid the younger man a nod of momentary farewell before climbing into Malcolm's passenger seat.

Morgan easily kept pace next to Adelaide as the three of them headed back to the house she had taken Addy to previously; she wasn't certain about the Djinn, she seemed quiet for the moment but she supposed if Addy certainly was comfortable with her there, there wasn't a reason for Morgan to be. She was happy with how everything turned out in the evening, though she could have certainly done better with fewer angels, it all seemed to work out for the best. She cautiously took up Addy's hand, interlacing her fingers with her friends as they headed back to her home.

Malcolm waited for Chase to catch up with him after he had stepped out of the Clinic. He was satisfied to see Brody get in his car and head home on his volition; the last thing he wanted was to have to 'command' anyone to do anything. His position as Beta was more of political move; helping Borseti adopt the pack and grow together as well as allowing Emile to have a different perspective on certain issues. While the pack certainly listened to Malcolm, he would never use his position to coerce anyone into anything unless it was for the greater good. Once the younger man was in the passenger seat he started their journey back towards the remainder of the pack. "I assume you have plenty of things to fill Emile in on; and he'll relay them to me, but my concern right now is how Skye was involved in tonight's events." As much as Emile had 'banned' himself, Douglas and Brody from questioning Chase about their family member he just as well assumed the ban was lifted now that they were inside the colony and he would soon (hopefully) be speaking with her himself.

Mackenzie's brow furrowed as William stated that Ash and Liam were in the clear, her eyes closed and stayed closed for several seconds before opening again slowly, one followed by the other. She mumbled quietly, incoherently before frowning slightly, uncertain for the moment what she was going to stay. Instead she turned atop the bed, hand still holding his, she closed her eyes again. "The pack won't hunt us any more?" It was more of a question than a statement but Mackenzie couldn't keep her eyes open any longer, feeling herself drifting off no matter how hard she fought.
