Appearance: -
Kai stands at 5'10" and weighs almost nothing. He is painfully skinny under his shirt but has some wiry muscles to speak of from helping his father work on cars growing up.

History:
Kai was an unwanted child. He was born to a father that had forced his unwilling mother, thus resulting in him being conceived. His father was convicted and is serving time for his crime and for most of his childhood he was raised by his mother, who was severely depressed and quite negligent, and his kind grandmother who changed his nappies, took him to school and fed him. His grandfather wasn't quite as nice, and his own mother couldn't look at him without thinking of the man who wronged her. Apparently he looked a lot like him.

He didn't understand it properly until he was about 14, but until then he just couldn't understand why everybody hated his guts. He got into trouble at school almost every day. He was horrible to other kids, and got into fights, destroyed school property, swore at his teachers.

His grandmother was the only one who put up with him. He ended up respecting her a great deal and by the time he entered highschool, he was a little more willing to focus on his studies. He didn't know how to make friends, though, and ended up in a dodgy crowd. But they accepted him, and he felt happy. When he was 17, he was spending more and more time outside of home with his new friends, he wasn't even there when his grandma was admitted to hospital for a stroke.

The kicker was, no one bothered to tell him, she he didn't get to say goodbye. The relationship with his family after that was nothing but icy. Kai was trying to find work but he had a bad rep and it was difficult. Eventually someone at a food processing factory just out of town in the industrial estate got him a job. Being out of the house most of the day 5 days a week helped him put up with his home life. He kept his head down at work and impressed the boss.

He went home one day to find his mother passed out face down on the floor There were two empty bottles of jack, and Kai's grandfather was crying, and talking to the ambulance on the phone. When his mother was pronounced dead from alcohol poisoning, and a messed up liver, his grandfather told him to get out.

Kai made money, but barely enough to live off of, so this was a terrifying concept. He spent a night sleeping in the park before finally getting ahold of one of his friends. She agreed to let him move in and help with the bills, but she was a drinker, and an angry drunk, and Kai just could not keep her happy. he started foregoing meals just to help pay the rent, and was growing extreamly skinny. That was when his best friend at work patrick pulled him aside and changed his life... for the first time now, he feels he has a family.

RP SAMPLE:
There were tears in his eyes and blood pooling on his knuckles as he punched the wall one last time. His fist went right through the cheap, think plastered drywall this time. His 'family' was still at the hospital, he'd only just received the call that his grandma had died, and it wasn't from his mum. It was from the damn nurse. How could they do this to him!? He was glad his mother wasn't there, because he honestly thought he might have hit her if she had been. His grandmother was his rock, she saw him for the person he was, not the person his father was. She was the only one who treated him like a human being. The world was so cruel, so unbelievably cruel.

It took a damn long time for the anger to subside. It was replaced with a numb emptiness. He lay in his room with the door locked all day long, ignoring the world around him, just pouring through photo albums. The next few days at work he took off because he felt physically ill from the mental stress. Patrick was concerned about him, but he didn't need to know the details. Eventually he'd tell the guy why he was away but he didn't trust himself around people right now. he didn't want to lose his job or hurt anyone who was nice to him. He couldn't just drink away the pain like his mother, because he refused to fall to weakness.

Two days later, Kai returned to work with a smile on his face 'Just a bad flu' He told everyone 'Don't worry, I'm not contagious anymore! Swear!'

History:
He had a pretty good childhood. He was spoiled since he was the youngest sibling of his family. He had two older sisters and one bigger brother. They only moved one time in his life and it was the hardest time for him since he had to make new friends in high school again. The friends he made though stuck with him for life all the way through high school. And even after graduation. However, a few years after graduation he was going into college. And that's when he met his girlfriend at the time. Holly. She was his first successful relationship. Until something happened...they didn't use protection.

They were almost done with college and he had one more year to finish. But with the news he got, she became pregnant with their baby and her parents refused to take care of it or support it. She was too young in their eyes and she wasn't ready to be a mother at the time. So she decided to break up with him, and leave him with the baby. But after his semester, he came home on winter break with a baby in his arms to show his parents....and they kicked him out. They were nice enough to give him a van but they didn't want to have more stress than they were already apparently having.

RP SAMPLE:
Patrick
Tucking his phone in his pocket, he adjusted his beanie hat on his way out of Walmart. He carried three bags of groceries, considering that's all he needed. With how much these guys eat, it's impressive that they even have enough money to support each other. He didn't let that worry him though, the two boys had jobs too and that alone helped him with his constant worry. As long as he had enough for everyone including his baby, everything would be okay right? It would be a few more minutes before he could walk to the parking lot where he stationed the van. He wore jeans and a plain black tee shirt with a collar and nice white shoes. It was enough for work and that's all he needed for the dress code. Thank god it wasn't snowing yet, he only had hoodies, he didn't have a coat. As he made his way to the parking lot where they were parked in the corner, away from everyone else, he decided to put on the fake smile. He could smell his grill, it looks like someone got it out for him. Even though it was a small carry-able grill, it still worked and it was better than a microwave in his opinion.

Patrick approached the side door, opening it carefully and putting the grocery bags on the floor of the van. "Hey guuyys." His tired voice escaped him as both of his hands went straight for his baby. A tinier softer voice came from him as he picked up the infant. "Hiiii. Hows my baby boy." He picked him up and let him cuddle against his chest in his arms, his hand holding the cute little head to support it and kissed his forehead. "That's a good boy. Mhm! Hope he wasn't too loud today." He asked, turning his attention to the others in the van.

RP SAMPLE "What's wrong?"

"..."

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

"...I know."

"Then answer me."

"..." The amber light of street lights flashed in the old Chevy as the two drove along, Tessa quietly leaning against the passagner window. The cool temperature was a wonderful contrast to the heat of cab, but not from the intense air coming from her boyfriend Ryan. Her eyes lazily taking in the dark of the country side as they were only about three hours into their 10 hour journey back home. They had gone it see Ryan's family for the first time since they started dating to tell them the wonderful news. Tessa is pregnant.

"Hey!" Ryan shouted, causing her jump. "Answer me!" He growled. Ryan didn't take kindly to being ignored. But, he should be use to if by now, she's hardly sad much the entire trip.

"Just tired," She said, lamely answering, her hand slightly rubbing her stomach. She was only about three weeks along, so there wasn't a baby bump yet, but she got a bit of comfort from it. In truth, her answer was a lie; well, half a lie. She was tired, his family was exhausting and car rides at night wasn't something at the top of her list of favorite things. "And worried I guess."

"Why?"

"My parents...I need to talk to them, I'm not a child anymore. They can't be mad at me forever," She added, causing Ryan to glance over with a cocked eyebrow.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" He asked, genuine concern filling his voice; a tender kindness she was use to anymore. But, it was greatly welcomed. Tessa unbuckled as they came across a street light, and scooted over on the bench to lean her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. He looked down, confused for a second, but sighed. "Alright. Get some sleep."

You can describe in a paragraph.

History: (From childhood to current)
Kliff was born into a relatively middle-class family. However, his mother died during childbirth, so for a few years, it was just him and his father. From an early age, Kliff knew that he was different. He was able to recite word for word things that not even his teachers could remember. Kliff also knew from a young age, that his father was sad, despite how much he tried to hide it. As such, Kliff did what he could to try and make him happy. He tried his best in school and did as many extracurricular activities as he could, including music which he found a major love for. However, nothing could rid his father of the sadness Kliff could always see in his eyes. Although it wasn't him, Kliff blamed his father's sadness on himself and told himself he wasn't doing well enough.

Unfortunately, when Kliff turned 12, his father remarried. The very definition of a gold digger, Kliff knew from the very start that he despised the woman, and it was mutual. His new stepmother would make Kliff's life as miserable as he could whenever she could. Although he was one of the best students in his school, his stepmother would put him down and make him feel bad for himself. however, senior year, Kliff decided that he wasn't going to take her criticism anymore. Whenever she tried to insult him, Kliff would just ignore her. Whenever she stooped to doing something dirty like having his clothes shrunk, he'd just shake it off and get new clothes. However, it was when he turned 20 that he couldn't handle it anymore.

While he was at work, his stepmother had "accidentally" dropped his old journal into the pool. The journal was full of all the songs, [poems, sketches, etc, etc that Kliff had either written or admired his entire life. It was a literal part of him. And it was gone. Before he could do something rash, Kliff grabbed his violin, a few sets of clothes, and left, leaving his heartbroken father in his wake, alongside the witch his father called a wife. He hasn't even spoken to them since and he doesn't plan on it.

A few weeks later of living on his own, bench to bench, Kliff ran into Patrick and joined the group.

RP SAMPLE:
"Let me hold him! I could watch him while you finished what you need to!" Kliff said, holding out his arms.

As the girl gave him Charlie, Kliff began to smile even wider. He cradled the small body of the baby boy as it cried and began to hum to him. The baby began to slow his crying little by little.

"Hush, little baby, don't say a word,
Mama's going to buy you a mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird don't sing,"

As Kliff began to sing to the baby, Charlie became completely quiet. As he continued to sing, Kliff began to rock the baby back and forth gently.

"Mama's going to buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Mama's going to buy you a looking glass.
And if that looking glass gets broke ... "

As Kliff sung the last line, he noticed that the baby was sleeping. Kliff chuckled a little as he continued to rock the baby, leaning back in his chair. Kliff began to think about the most important word in the lullaby he sung.

Mama.

"You're a lucky one, little baby." Kliff whispered to the sleeping baby, smiling sadly, "I've never had someone to sing me to sleep."

Kliff chuckled as he saw the girl coming back and he whispered to the baby, "Does that make me your mother?"

Kliff didn't expect an answer and he didn't receive one. Despite that, he already knew the answer to the question. After all, he associated the word mother with someone who'll be there for you, through thick and thin. Kliff has never had a mother, but that didn't mean he couldn't be one for everyone else.

Handing the baby back to the girl, Kliff smiled, "He's just a little angel! Thanks for letting me watch him!"
