Fandom Yugioh - Numbers Rising

That depends how you'd define 'Utopia.'
>literally a beacon of good used in the ZeXal anime and manga
>LIGHT Warrior type monster
>only number that stuck with Yuma
>Heroic gold and white scheme
>Corruption not strong enough to fully take over Tetsuo
>Only times it was corrupted was using a Barian Rank-Up Magic
>Has a literal 'Shining' variant

I mean, all things considered, it's supposed to be a 'good guy.'

EDIT: Also their Japanese names, which I prefer:

'Hope, King of Wishes'
'Hopeless, King of Despair'

EDIT 2: By the way, I'll never really treat Numbers 39 and 98 as their English translation because they completely miss the point of what those cards were supposed to be. 'Hope, King of Wishes' stands symbolic for both Yuma's 'Wish' to become the best and the 'Hope' the card gives to him to continue fighting, even after losing Astral in the anime.

Antitopian on the other hand is supposed to be an inverse of Utopia, which means it's full of 'Despair' and 'Hopelessness', as further evidenced by its inverted color scheme. The localization for these two cards is awful in my opinion.

I've noticed that people are running the Solemn counter traps. Even though this is text-based, I feel like the presence of Solemn cards (the meta ones) ruin the fun of it. Sure maybe they won't be played but they're still in the deck to begin with. It's sort of like a little back-up in case something goes wrong, at least to me.

Ditto.

Counter-traps and general disruption aren't very fun to begin with. They work in the real game to keep your opponent in check, but not so much in an RP. RP's all about seeing big stuff clash against each other and making the flashiest duel possible, and cutting off your opponent halfway their turn doesn't seem like it'd make for a very good spectacle.

Gotta agree with both of you there. Although that might just be because I'm salty about them being used against me all the time in real duels. That or I'm afraid they may be abused in the RP. Ammokkx also hit the nail on the head with what they said.

Basically anything dedicated and/or Solemn and lock containing such should be kept out.

Yeah. The Solemn cards (other than Solemn Wishes) are just... cruel and unfun. Plus it's not like they even fit any archetypes, they're just super splash-able with basically no major cost in the slightest.

Gravitational Force Gravitational Force Masquerade requires 3 Xyz Material, not 2.

EDIT: I also kept forgetting to point this out, but I can't see Masqueraider's deck.

EDIT2: Not quite sure where to go from here since stainsoftime made it nighttime.

EDIT3: By the way, how did Masqueraid get down to 100? He started at 2100 and:

-Took no damage from Hand-Holding Genie as it was in DEF mode

-Took (2000-1800) 200 damage from Megalosmasher killing Brachios

-Took (2000-1800) 200 damage from Megalosmasher killing D.D. Survivor

As it stands, he should be down to 1700 and not 100.

Solidarity adds 800 attack. I'll check out the deck and edit the rest.

Missed Solidarity, so my bad there. Still, that then draws my eyes to "Megalosmasher X x 2" which is also weird since the shopkeep declared 3 attacks, not 2.

Well, I kinda decided on Utopia because, my character wants to make his version of utopia, a utopia where the Collective owns all the number cards. See, the point of the organization is to prevent the abuse of these number cards by holding onto them (though their methods are morally wrong in every sense of the word)
