Video Games What's a genre you can't get into and why?

Hm.....Lets see, I can't get into MOBAs. I can't seem to get into them for the life of me. RTS is another that I kind of cringe at since I can play it but I can't seem to grasp much concept on it. Any game that requires real life money that you can't get from ingame currency, even though I play a couple of those. Dating simulators, I play them religiously back in the day but I have a boyfriend and I don't play them as much anymore.

There are a few exceptions, but games with a first person view. I don't want to be the character, I want to see the character!

Racing games and a few certain MOBA's (love HOTS and DOTA, but can't stand LoL, Paragon or Smite)

Moba. I have never enjoyed my little experience with a moba enough to play more than two hours.

Definitely gotta agree. I think a lot of people try to stay away from fighting games because of the learning curve. The only fighting game that I'll ever be able to play with some level of success is Smash.

sports games, they're just lackluster and boring for me, i can't get into them because i know i'll get bored of them really fast and be a waste of money.

Gotta agree with you there. Sports games are the bane of my fucking existence. Especially since all of my friends are all hyped up for FIFA and shit. I never really got the point of playing things like football and etc. as a video game when you can just do so in real life.

My God, thank you... finally someone who can SEE!

Honestly, I just hate sports in general

I know this isn't a genre but I can't get into games that punish me for killing stuff...
Yeah. That was the problem when I first got into Undertale. Like my friends that did play the game all told me to try not to kill any of the monsters. I enjoy to be as powerful as I can possibly be in RPG games where you can grind due to how much I enjoy just oneshotting the enemies. And for that reason I decided to do the genocide route over and over again, trying to get hit as less times as possible every run until I did one where I didn't get hit at all.

Also you get the satisfaction of seeing your friends complain at you and cry like whiny cowards and I'm like "It's much funnier this way, watching them burn..."

XD. The reaction when I told them that I got to Chara, sold my soul just to kill everything all over again was priceless.

You should watch me try to explain my opinion on the game to my friends... it usually goes like this
me: It's really just not my thing, I like games that allow me to kill stuff without getting punished for it
friend: well just try not killing anything
me: did you even listen to me? I like games where you beat the dragon and save the princess, it's a great way for me to relieve stress
friend: you just don't understand the game
me: I give up

Yeaaah. Like to me video games are ways to relieve stress. And I think shooting some guy in the head (csgo) or just oneshotting some blob is gonna feel better than talking to the fucker and being its friend.

I just can't seem to enjoy FPS games for some reason. Perhaps because I suck at them...

I also don't like those games like the sims or slice of life. Because it's unbearable to watch virtual people lead better lives than you.

Zombie games. They scare the life out of me, and trying to mange an inventory on top of that? Just nope. I will hoard everything like it's a Harvest Moon game and just end up dying as a result. Visual novels too, unfortunately, because I really love reading! But I just can't get into those kind of games where all you do is read and maybe make a choice or two. They're just... Blah. Somewhat strange, since I'm considering making one and I adore reading books and such.
Also, a strange one, but RPGs on computers. I have no idea WHY I can't get into them since I adore playing them on my DS or PS4, but on my laptop, I just end up losing interest. Unless it's a game like Ib or The Witch's House where there isn't any combat system; those I adore playing.

Racing.exe

How is it ever fun? Vroom vroom you won now do it again, this is the entire game forever, you paid for this. Good job.

I've never been terribly interested in sports games, aside from the WWE games, because I've never been the biggest fan of sports in general.

I also can't seem to get behind a few turn based strategy games, and real time strategy games. Just not really my thing. I like Pokemon and Mystery Dungeon, but I can't really get behind games like Final Fantasy, despite loving games like Chrono Trigger.
