Video Games Hardest Boss You Ever Beat?

Definitely Morimoto from Pokemon Black with a level 50 team during a Nuzlocke. That game was already soooo unforgiving, but I triumphed over it, with one surviving pokemon. That fight was how I lost my five best Pokemon. I really wish I hadn't gone up there.

since we keep going with the pokemon theme, i had the HARDEST time with clair in hg/ss. i never carried an ice type on me, and i was awful with strategy when i played the game, so only my starter was really any good at all. plus she just kept healing. i was the later times i played through it but that was just a god-awful fight

besides that, anybody remember the cerberus fight in kingdom hearts on the ds? holy shit, i died so many times that i remembered the intro cut-scene word for word for months after i beat it

Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. He has so much health that it doesn't look like you're doing any damage the first few minutes, his health literally breaks the health meter. I got destroyed so many times.

But I managed to beat him! With the Ultima Weapon, around level 80. I was so proud. : 3

Uh, are we going with "Hard to beat because it is a bullet sponge and hits like a train" or "Hard to beat because of the backstory?"

If it is the first one:
...huh. the final Boss from Xenoblade Chronicles, especially the second phase. God, the second phae is ridiculous And the final boss from Xenoblade Chronicles X...on multiple ways. Firstly, because it was pretty difficult. Secondly because it was REALLY SAD.
Also Majin Buu from Dragonball Xenoverse 1. I was on the verge of going crazy. Splitting up and having to fight 20+ Buu's? No, keep them!

If we go with the "Hardest boss due to backstory"...(HUGE Xenoblade X spoilers, specifically Ch. 11)
Lao Huang/ARES from Xenoblade X in Chapter 11. This whole chapter is a trainwreck, and it made me cry. I felt so bad for finishing the fight, and then hearing him say something along the lines of "Looks like Papa can't visit you now." (Lemme keep it short: Lost his wife and child, he is the sole survivor of his family) just...finished me. And knowing that he is somehow still alive for the possible sequel...Man, I just want to end his misery, I feel so bad for him...

id say..... Seymore from FFX Probably cuz i was a kid and didn't get that i could summon Shiva at the time

Micolash from Bloodborne. Not remotely hard tbh but he's the most annoying I've probably encountered. Took me a few tries before realising if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'. Cranked up the volume when he died just to amplify the fuckers screams.

Believe it or not, a boss I have never beaten due to how bullshit he is, is some goatman from an old Xbox game called Mad Dash.

And other bosses I have beaten through immense grueling effort...

- Gill (Street Fighter 3)
- Bed of Chaos (Dark Souls)
- Mike Tyson (Punch-Out)
- sans He ain't hard.
- Darugis (Pokemon DarkRising 2. It's a FireRed mod that's disgustingly cliche.)

Miraak from Skyrim was ridiculously hard to kill. He had so much health, and even though I was an offensive dual wielding Level 66 Assassin with end-game weapons at the time, it still took a long time, but I managed to deplete his health. Then he killed one of his dragons and ate its soul and restored his health, and I had to beat the shit out of him again. Then he ate the soul of his other dragon, and I had to do the same thing again. It was also incredibly annoying since he kept teleporting around the place and Shouting at you. At least when he died, I got back the dragon souls the freeloading asshole stole from me.

Fuckin' Takumi on Fire Emblem Conquest. Yeah, you could cheese it up with Rescue Staves and Sing but fuck that guy so hard.

Oh, if you've never played the game (or any Fire Emblem game), if you die during the Endgame and restart, YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS STAGE!

Same thing with the fuckin Endgame for Fire Emblem 7. Bullshit boss rush level!

I heard the first one was okay though.

There are many, but maybe one of the most frutrating ones was Gizamaluke on Final Fantasy IX back in 1998 when i was 8 years old haha.
Today standards maybe the first bloodborne boss the human-wolf guy the other Hunter. It was my first experience with from software games XD

When it comes to the hardest difficulty, I can't even make it through Stage 3.

The Stage 2 Boss is already insanity—I barely scraped by.

I recently got into touhou and right now I think the hardest boss in that series I fought is Meiling in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. But that's mostly because I lose nearly all my lives against Chen in the stage before...

You mean Cirno? Chen is the Stage 2 Boss of the game that comes after EoSD.

You playin' on Lunatic Difficulty, my man?

I barely make it through Stage 5 & Sakuya with 0 spare lives left on an average Normal Mode run.

Oh, I must've mixed them up then. I honestly just downloaded EoSD up to TD and just played them all.

Anyway, I was playing on normal. I think the game I got the farthest on is PoFV since I actually beat that one with one of the characters (Reisen.) Komachi and Shinki also gave hell, but I can't decide who's harder to beat.

The Grotesquerie Queen from Drakenguard. You get hit once and you die, then start the whole process all over from the beginning.

I wouldn't consider this hardest to fight, but there is the final boss in drakenguard 3 of the final playthrough...where screwing up even one time instantly puts you at game over and you have to restart.

Yoko Taro hates you and wants you to suffer.

Honestly surprised Neir and Nier Automata didn't have anything like that.

Fucking flower bitches.

I think the hardest boss I fought in Nier Automata so far is both Beauvoir (Amusement Park Boss) and Adam (Copied City)

LITERALLY THIS OLD MAN
th

Ok, to be kind of fair on Kojima's part, this would probably be the closest thing to a real life sniper battle. And the reward for doing it the hard way (Sneaking up on him with the tranq pistol and shooting him in the head or tossing stun grenades) is worth it and a high risk high reward boss battle should definitely be featured in games.

But. Oh. My. God. Beating this guy was like building a trench. If he spot you, then he'd shoot you with his tranquilizer rifle. And if you had low stamina and his shot drained your stamina completely. GUESS WHAT? You're sent back to a nearby base as a prisoner and have to FACE HIM AGAIN.
Notice he has a ghillie suit, right?
Think you can find him easily here...

In a game that looks like this?

Once he finds you from a distance or catches you trying to sneak up on you (in this case he throws a flashbang), he relocates. to. another. spot. You have to find an old Russian man with a tranquilizer WWII rifle that can heal instantly if need be once he finds sunlight.
God damn, I've never wanted to break my controller until I faced off against this guy. Literally the hardest boss battle of all time that requires a lot of spare time, a lot of patience, and knowing how to cheat the system.

Not saying he's the hardest ever, as there are way worse, but Crazy Hand from Super Smash Brothers Melee was the bane of my childhood.

Also I can't remember the quest name or the NPC, but the Dragonborn DLC in Skyrim has one boss battle in particular that I remember being a bitch.
Its in Solstheim and you get locked in until you beat it and there's a bunch of super strong dragur and a bastard that betrays you and is also trying to kill you, too.
Maybe I wasn't a high enough level but damn it, its not like Borderlands where they tell you what level you should be before diving head first into death. I felt like I was deep enough to handle that DLC. I was a fool.
