Not much to do but watch. Braxton stepped back as Peter shrugged him off and just rolled on the floor like an animal. Whatever's wrong must be making him go crazy. Like with Alexander earlier today... But he didn't freak out like this. Perhaps because this is new to Peter he's reacting so poor. And who even knows how long Alexander had these...spasms? Headache seemed like an understatement. He paced around, watching Peter defenselessly squirm around until he came to his senses. He didn't know what to say, really. How to ask if he was alright or what had just happened. And he couldn't think of any spells that may help at the moment. Sometimes when on the fly he can go blank with some things. Happens to everyone.

He would have helped Peter but Vince was way ahead of him. "Westfield? I think something's wrong int here," he said when Peter told them there's a problem in the city. Braxton looked at everyone. Watching Peter work that computer was like watching someone perform magic. Braxton is good with computers, too, but he'd be damned before he figured out how to command such a....delicate system such as this. It seemed like Peter had his dads ability now. Just what kind of ability is it, really? Like the name for it. He eyed the screen when the source of distress was made clear.
Braxton sighed. "Disciples of Chaos and Mystery. Along with Fire?" He spoke. "I've studied them before. They are rather nasty individuals... Seeing them all together is troubling," he told the others. But learning this attack was going on through a mix of computers and magic disturbed him. He just didn't care for the mix.

"Look at them..." he said to himself. Watching as these...these monsters he'd now had faces to match to names run rampant. People running for their lives, screaming in terror and being attacked? Destruction in their path and ensuing mayhem. What was happening was the work of nightmares. Braxton fidgeted his glasses and but the inside of his cheek. All of this was too insane. No preparation, no King and no promise. Yet they still must do something.

Indeed seeing the disciples meant they were just getting started for the Shadoji. And today they'd now gotten to look at four of seven faces of evil. There are other disciples, yes? Remaining unmet by this generation. Hopefully it would stay that way. "Be damned if they're too powerful. Whether that's the case or not it's our duty to stop them. I'd rain a storm of magic on them and banish them if the rest of you are so unready," Braxton interjected. No such thing as too powerful. Not for someone in the divine order. It seemed like he and this new guy agreed. The girl just pointed out the obvious that they would be outnumbered. No shit. He half expected Mellany to say something juvenile at him for saying anything out loud and Raijah to cower like a dog or growl like one. So uncivilized. "We can stop the delay and..." he started, then came the 'ugh' worthy.
"Can't be serious?" He asked the others. Really? The Knight Cellulars, these....morphers? Back on this nonsensical it would seem. Entertaining this idea was childish and overall....stupid, for lack of better term. Braxton kept his arms crossed and walked to the table. He grabbed one of the devices. "This won't work. And when it doesn't, we can go back to tradition like we should," Braxton said, truly pessimistic. "But I'll go through with this for now. Only because Alexander seemed to believe in it. And so does Peter. I'll respect that." He clutched the cellular and his medallion, holding them up together. How will this work? Sigh...

Raijah sat back as he was pushed away. Mellany just looked in shock. Poor Peter, to be in so much pain after everything that's happened already. Was Alexander also always in this pain? Or had he learned how to handle it better? Judging by the looks of it it wasn't something anyone would want to get used to. To be in so much pain, only capable of rolling around and unable to respond... This was bad. Both wished they knew what to do to help Peter, to ease his pain... to just do anything so he wouldn't have to roll on the floor in such pain anymore. But what could there be done? Best to just give him some space now. After all, when Alexander was in pain, they were told to give him some space as well. Mellany shrugged at Chloe. "Best keep it real, not?" she said. They only had one plan, and there was a chance they'd die. But that chance was also there if they did not stick to the plan and fight with what they knew. Such is the danger of dealing with monsters and being a knight.

"Geez, Peter only just said that exact same thing," Mellany muttered as Braxton said the same thing as Peter did. She and Raijah watched the screen as Peter worked the computer. The system looked rather complex, especially to Raijah. Seeing the ease with which Peter worked it... almost like magic. But not quite. Leave the real magic to Mellany and Braxton there. Mellany whistled at the sight of the three Disciples. Yikes. "And we thought one was bad enough. Try three at the same time. Along with Thralls..." she said, shaking her head.
"Raijah not wanna try that," Raijah frantically shook his head. One Disciple was dangerous. Three was... something more dangerous.
Really, those three weren't the only nasty individuals. All were nasty. And the one bound to join this generation had to be a nasty one too. But it would be much better if there would be no new Disciple for this generation. It might just make the work of this generation of knights a little bit easier. Not an awful lot though. There was still all those others to deal with. And the Supreme Disciple Dumanax himself. One thing was sure: this looked bad. Ascelin wasn't awake yet, Peter only just became the Guardian in the worst possible way... and now the three Disciples were just taking the city for their own. Mellany had lived her entire life in Westfield, though she had spent lots of time in other places too with her competitive gymnastics. Still... she considered Westfield her home, and she would protect it with all she could. So many people would die... everything she knew would be destroyed if they wouldn't do something...
Raijah only recently came to Westfield, so he didn't know the city. He recognized nothing of what was seen on the screen. Yet he saw the pain of the people, he saw their fear. His hands clenched to fists. They had to protect those people! If Westfield would be destroyed, they might also go to the island of Tribe Oathkeeper. They may go to the tomb and destroy Ascelin while he still sleeps! Raijah couldn't let that happen. He was the Guardian of the Tomb, sworn to protect Ascelin as long as he slept and fight by his side when he woke up. "We must stop them," Raijah said, glaring at the screen in determination.

Hearing the Disciples were too powerful was expected, yet it was the last thing they wanted to hear. Vince's defense was justified. They did have to do something. Nobody might want to see any more senseless death, but dying senselessly and leaving the world defenseless wouldn't make things any better. Hell, that would be only worse. They might not be around anymore to see and deal with the suffering.... but it was their task to make sure it wouldn't happen at all. So what could they do to stop them and not get brutally slaughtered?

You gotta give it to Braxton, it was admirable he was willing to go out there unprepared and take them on on his own... but best not tell him. His ego was already too large. "Well, then you go do that and get yourself killed while the rest of us do the sensible albeit weird thing, yes?" Mellany said sweetly to him. Hey, it might end up getting them a mage who wasn't a dick to anyone constantly! Maybe it wouldn't be so much of a bad idea. Then again... they would lose the better of the two mages. Again, don't let Braxton find out she thought that. Raijah just followed Peter's gaze back to the box. Were they going to throw these at the bad guys anyway then? No, those things probably weren't meant for throwing. But Peter seemed so sure those things would help them fight better. And right now they did really need that. Mellany nodded in agreement with Vince. "As weird as it might be... it is the only thing we have. I said it before, I'll do so again... Why not give it a shot?"
"But...--" Raijah started again.
"Not literally, Raijah. It's something you say when you're going to try something."
"Then just say try and not shoot!" Raijah shook his head. The language of the city people was so weird...
Mellany and Raijah grabbed one of the devices each, ready to try and see if it worked.
"So if I say it, I get ignored, and when you say it, it's suddenly a smart and brilliant idea..." Mellany grumbled as Braxton said what she had suggested before. Now... they all had a medallion and a Knight Cellular. How was this going to work?

Determination from the uptight guy hit a nerve in Chloe. Braxton sure did seem like he would go above and beyond to face the demons himself without the others. She wished she could be so brave.... She isn't entirely scared here, but given how lacking in qualification she is there's a right to be at least a bit on the cautious side of things. Granted she had been the first to grab and fondle one of the Knight Cellulars...
A smirk crossed her face while listening to Raijah's confusion. And then a look of 'ew' as she remembered he wasn't wearing a shirt or shoes. Gross, how does he avoid infection from constantly parading like that? His immune system has to be a good one.
"Do you two always bicker and talk at one another like an old married couple?" Chloe plainly asked the two mages. Seriously the way they carry on they'd better just get a room somewhere.
Peter watched as one by one everybody grabbed one of the morphers. His dads proudest project would finally be followed through. He took in a deep breath, still recovering from before but trying to stay focused with little success. Guardians must have certain capabilities with heavy restriction because while he knew what to do he'd gone through lots of suffering. Physical, emotional, and mental. Borderline abuse it took to be a guardian.

Vince looked at the other four as they all took out a device. He looked in the box and reached for the last one sitting in the middle of the box. He carefully took it out and held it firmly in his strong hand. He looked at Peter. "So, what do we do?" Simple question. And well-paced given the situation.
Peter looked at the five people and nodded. "Simple," he stated and told them what they would need to do to use their new tools. Vince nodded along and listened carefully, Chloe as well. They were slightly unsure of this, but they would do as Peter asked. They kind of figured he deserved to have his dads plan followed through. Vince knew it was his duty. And Chloe? Well...she just thought it was right.
"I know all of this is sudden and strange, but trust me. This is what this generation is made of. I believe in you guys...even if you aren't conventionally ready. Please try and work together. The city...the world needs you," Peter pleaded. Vince nodded his head. Chloe took a deep breath. "We promise, Peter. And thank you." Vince said. He looked at the others...in Ascelin's absence, the warrior would be his right hand and backup leader.
"C'mon, guys, let's go show them what we're made of," Vince told the others as leader-like and generic as he could. Chloe looked at the three and her brother. She nodded hesitantly. Just had to do her part...and not get killed.

And so they were off! Peter mentioned to the Wells siblings about the mirrors, he'd explain it later. Vince motioned for everyone to follow him through the door and to the mirror network. He and Chloe thought this was weird, but went with it. Stepping through the mirror as the others did before, they collectively found the mirror taking them where they needed to be and stepped through.
---
In Westfield's center, Torth rampaged with Zaken and Rogana. He walked with them orderly and witnessed the Thralls tearing the place apart in this open part of town. Civilians ran, some were pinned down and barely getting away. He chuckled and chucked a ball of flame into the open, the blast erupting and explosion and a new spread of panic. "This is far too easy, is it not?" Asked Torth of his fellow disciples. What a pathetic world. Meaningless and weak. They should all be so lucky as to be taken by the Shadoji and put in a true order of society! It will all start with Westfield. Haha!

Moments later, stepping from the hidden mirror near Westfield center, Vince and the others piled out from it. Chloe looked behind them...seeing a mirror, but also nothing at the same time. Freaky. "Now that is weird...but cool," she stated. Vince had to nod in agreement. Screams caught their attention. The siblings shot their glance at the nearby area away from this hidden entrance. Vince ran ahead of everyone, knowing he had to hurry up. Chloe followed close behind him. This is nuts. Vince had motioned for a couple of panicked people to run to safety and away from here. Civilians could care less when they're scared, so screw the people daringly running to the danger! Poor people....
He came to a screeching halt of his heels...staring down face to face three disciples across the open space. "Stop right there!" He shouted at them as a true warrior did in the face of danger. Taunting them. Chloe stopped beside of him, the line from before taking form. She gulped and stared at these...really scary demons. "Mind if we crash the party?" She asked...quietly...but she at least had courage to speak to these things.

Torth paused and turned around, Thralls also turning in their stead at the humans. Hmm. So the Knights are here? "Ahhh, it's you! Zaken, Rogana, meet the failure Knights of this generation. Knights, meet my friends," Torth greeted them casually as if he'd earned that right. So they've come to die? So be it. This would be too easy if the farm was any indication.

Braxton for the hundredth time today rolled his eyes at Mellany. "It's incomprehensible that someone of your stature has so much to say. I wouldn't get myself killed. You on the other hand contain the ability of a novice mage at best. I'm surprised you can even push out a wisp of light," he said, commenting on both her height and her ability. He didn't just talk shit. He attacked everything. That may prove useful in a fight. Talking to Mellany? Just perfect comebacks for her silly childish games. He could totally take on the Shadoji with his power. Maybe not an entire army, but he would likely stand a higher chance than most present. He then sighed at Raijah's blatant stupidity. In fairness he isn't familiar with much...and boy did it show.
He nearly choked as the young girl spoke. "I beg your pardon?" he said to her. He and Mellany? Like an old married...well, he couldn't deny that on the level of annoyance she gives him. He shrugged it off and just stayed on task unlike some people.

He carefully listened along as Peter provided instruction. This idea of these Knight Cellulars still seemed silly. He would entertain it, however. Either he'd tell young Peter and the others "I told you so" or he'd be proven wrong and admit it. Braxton wasn't one to deny when he's wrong, after all. His ego may be large, but he isn't without a sense of humility. When practicing magic all through ones life it's best not to get cocky and always believe you're right. And he didn't... But most of the time, he was right.
Peter's expression faith in them despite the odds was heartwarming. Braxton respectively nodded in appreciation. Putting differences aside wouldn't be easy with a certain female mage on the team and two newcomers. Trying was going to be the best solution it seemed. "Alexander will not die in vain," Braxton promised along side of Vince. Fate of the world is lying in their hands so best not to disappoint.
Braxton complied with Vince and followed his lead. Naturally he would protest a new guy, but given the past does indicate warrior types being in command with Ascelin's absence he would follow it for now. And the first sign Vince isn't capable of being followed, he would assume the position whether or not anyone liked it.
Through the mirror once more it seemed. No dilly dallying.

Rogana laughed gleefully and spun her umbrella around, resting it on her shoulder, the open object shielding her from the sun. Unlike Lusa, she didn't mind the suns light, just it was dreadfully bright outside for her! Being outside for the first time in little over a century sure did put stress on the old viewing balls inside ones head.
"Far too easy indeed, Torth. Don't you agree, Zaken?" She asked kindly as an evil demon could. Kicking her legs ever so slightly to make her dress shift in the breeze, she watched these gross creatures called humans scurry around like mice. Thralls would do their job. And this city needed a deep cleaning. "Charming of our lord to dispatch us out like this. I do hope he doesn't expect us to just stroll through and not have a bit of fun," she said as Torth fired a flame ball. She giggled and spun the umbrella, swiping it around and dazing nearby humans. Confusing them was more fun than attacking to her.

Short time had gone by. And the whole way through the network Braxton didn't have to stop the cheer leader from the mysterious sights, stop Raijah from growling at odd sounds, or roll his eyes and Vince and Mellany. Just a simple stroll! Focused on the task at hand, finally. They left without weapons, though...so they'd better hope to God these things work. If not, Braxton isn't gonna be quiet about it. He didn't argue that the mirror network was indeed cool. He had to nod along...hey, it was rather cool how those mirrors worked. He so wanted to study them! That would be later though. Now he heard people screaming in terror and furrowed his brow and adjusted his glasses. He ran in behind the others and charged for the space of the sounds origin.
He stopped with everyone in formation. "It seems we've found the cause of this madness," he told himself. "Begone, demons! There is no place for you here!" he shouted, more bother by the demons than intimidated.

Rogana laughed and turned around with Torth. "Oh, so these are them, hmm? A pleasure, foolish Knights. Before you stands Rogana, Disciple of Mystery! And what a wicked web we weave, for you are humble flies caught within!" She spat at the Knights. Stupid mortals think they stand a chance after such a heavy loss. Quick and very painful, their death would be.

If Mellany had a drink, she would spit it all over Chloe. Entirely on accident, of course. She and Braxton? Not in a million years! Hell, even if they were the last two humans on Earth. Then just let the human race go extinct. As for Braxton commenting on her height once again? Oh, he would regret that. He shouldn't be surprised if one of these days he found his butt frozen to a chair... or that somehow there would only be cold tea and coffee when he tried to get some. Or all his books would suddenly not be in alphabetical order anymore. Mellany knew how much he'd hate that. Oh, so many ways to plan her petty revenge. Really, you'd think he learned from always poking fun at her height... Unless he liked her taking revenge. Ew. Cue weird thoughts. She was going to need mind bleach for that later.

Raijah just snickered at Chloe's comment. They did argue a lot. Reminded him of the people in his Tribe.... like the girl that was chosen for him to marry... She would always pester him about doing dangerous things like hanging out in the trees... which was his TASK. Secretly he was so grateful the Chieftain said him being the Guardian of the Tomb was too important to be distracted by marriage. And when the others came to pick him up... Sure, he left his island, but at least he was finally safe! Now he was stuck with the weird people. But they were nice weird people.

Both listened carefully as Peter explained how the devices worked, Raijah needing a bit more effort to understand everything than Mellany did, who just nodded along. It was all so weird... it sounded so unbelievable. But Peter believed it worked. He believed in them. And they didn't want to disappoint him. They had to give it a try. And if it did actually work? Congrats on them all and the Knights wouldn't be fried by Torth's fireballs. They might just stand a chance against Dumanax. Or at least not fail too hard trying. Hard as it may be, they had no choice but to put their differences aside for now. They had to work together and fight, no matter the odds. And so they would try. Mellany and Raijah nodded as Vince took the lead. Sure, he was the newcomer, but Raijah knew the strongest warrior was usually the leader. Especially when the big boss was not around. And Mellany? She didn't particularly like taking orders, but anyone was better than Braxton. "We'll give it everything we've got," Mellany said. Raijah nodded. Now, it was time to get into the mirror and get to Westfield. There was a city... no, there was a world that needed saving.
---
Zaken laughed, watching the Chaos unfold. Hey, he was the Disciple of Chaos for a reason. "Indeed. Too easy," Zaken agreed, unsheathing his blade again. Whereas Rogana liked to merely confuse the people, he preferred attacking. His blade was still thirsty, and there were so many victims around to choose from. So many opportunities to quench his thirst. Or increase it. After about a century of not having tasted blood on metal... it was high time. These disgusting, pathetic, sniveling humans stood no chance against a skilled warrior like himself. He slashed his blade into the crowds of people, injuring them, drawing blood. Zaken took a deep whiff of the air. "Aaah..." he let out a sigh of satisfaction. After a century, the smell of blood and fear was so much sweeter.

Not too much later the knights had all made it through the mirrors. It was hard to disagree with Chloe. Traveling through the mirrors WAS weird, but cool. Much quicker than running everywhere too. "You get used to it," Raijah, of all people said. Seriously, technology and cars freaked him out, but magical mirrors leading everywhere didn't. Not as much, anyway. And as long as he didn't have to go through alone. Even with the others he still preferred to stick close to Mellany. It wasn't hard to find the source of the chaos and madness... The Disciples sure left a clear path of destruction. And if not, the screaming people were a clear waypointer. Geez, they must be confused why give people who looked less than capable of fighting would run towards the monsters instead of away like any sensible person would. Not that they'd care much if their lives were in danger. Such is human nature. And... well, nature of all beings, Raijah would like to point out. Survival of the fittest. If the runt of the litter didn't keep up, he'd be abandoned. If some animal decided it was a good idea to provoke a predator... well... the predator would have food.
"Go back to Hell already. And please just stay there," Mellany said. Really, they were up too early. Couldn't they return when they were ready and Ascelin was awake? Wouldn't that make everything more convenient. Raijah, in this case, just let out what seemed like a warcry. If it intimidated the predators on the island, maybe it worked against demons too?

Zaken turned with his allies to face the Knights and laughed as well. My, these sure looked pathetic. They were supposed to keep the Shadoji from victory? "A bunch of children is all that stands in our way?" Zaken chuckled. (And it might have led to an "Oy!" on Mellany's end) "I am Zaken, Disciple of Chaos. My blade thirsts for blood. YOUR blood." Well, that was rather direct. Zaken was a fighter, after all. Not much of a talker. Hmm... in which order should he cut them down?

In the Lair on the farm, Peter brought up what was going on in town on screen. Thank goodness for the complex system his father and he created together. And partly magic. "Do your best...let this work..." he said quietly to himself.
---
"With patience, my friends," Torth said to his allies. He cared not for Rogana's bit about having fun. The two of them didn't always see eye-to-eye, however. One for reason, one for theory. Or in other terms, logic versus mystery. He respected her, though. And Zaken was the oldest disciple save for their supreme Dumanax. Blood spilled in the streets and people were hurt. A fine start.
He stepped forward in front of his allies as these excuses for Knights as they made their presence known. Wanting to 'crash the party', foolishly attempting to tell them to leave, and even so far as to just yell. These are truly divine heroes, alright. A waste of potential challenge. No wonder they were easily beaten before.
"What, are your words supposed to threaten us? Speak if you must but nothing of what you say shall falter us." Thralls continued to swarm around them and back up the three disciples in Westfield. These people can say what they want but it will only delay their deaths by mere moments.

Vince looked at the others and nodded to each of them as he stood center. "Your blade isn't gonna get what it wants, Zaken," Vince retorted. Children didn't stand in the way. Well maybe except for Chloe. Speaking of that girl....
"Shut up, you old hag," she told Rogana. Her talk of flies caught in a web made her say something more daring.

"As I said, your words are supposed to threaten us? Fools. Just as my master slayed your Guardian as his stupid son bore witness. You shall share his fate!" Torth called out. Alexander Hart was a fool. And he died as such in front of his worthless son.
...He...Did....Fucking...Not... Vince stared at Torth as if he'd committed a grand sin. How dare that demon talk about Peter's dad--and Peter--that way! Vince didn't know the man long but he could tell he was a good and honest man. He'd damn himself to Hell before this monster talked about him like that!
Chloe got an angry look on her face. "Don't you dare talk about him like that!" She called out in defense. She may not have been friends with Peter because of high school cliques, but she knew he was a nice kid...and his poor dad didn't deserve to die! She and Vince hated the Shadoji...especially now... They would vow to make them pay. Vince wanted justice. And Chloe just found a good reason to stick to this path.

Torth chuckled at Alexander's death mentioned. He then chucked a quick flame ball towards them like before. He assumed it would just kill them this time, quick and painful. The fireball erupted in an explosion before the five Knights. He thought his job was done. But as the smoke cleared...
Vince, Chloe, Braxton, Raijah and Mellany stood there, vigiliant. The blast didn't even make Vince and Chloe flinch, let alone soar into the air. They just stood there...something in them keeping them still. What is this? Torth stepped backward as the smoke cleared. "What is this....how impudent!" Torth muttered.

Vince snickered and angrily looked at the disciples. "Not this time. Now we're gonna win... And you're all going down," he said. "You guys ready?" He asked the others. Chloe nodded. "Ready," she told him.
He led the other four in the following actions. He withdrew his medallion, Chloe taking hers out as well near their faces. Both siblings then took the Knight Cellulars and flipped them open with the others. The inserted the medallions into the devices above the phone keypad. They tapped the 'one' key, closed the phone and held it up, tightly grasping the devices. Peter told them what to do, and they followed it step by step. Now came the fun part.
"Divine Change!" Vince called loudly, Chloe following suit. Then they pressed a confirmation button atop the hinge of the cellular, raising it high to the sky. A bright light beamed down an almost heavenly glow. The siblings held it tightly...it's working...it's really working! The power was weird...and experimental.
The light then overcame all five knights, suits appearing through magic onto their bodies. Helmets appeared over their heads. Vince and Chloe reached up, plopping them into their heads to finish the change. Now standing before the Shadoji forces were five brightly colored heroes...a new generation of warriors. Here stood, the Power Rangers.

Torth stared in disbelief. "What...what is this?!" He asked. What kind of magic?!?!?!
Vince in red, Chloe in yellow, the siblings felt the power overtake them and guide them. It worked. It really worked! They glanced down at themselves and observed. Wow...Vince felt stronger than ever. Chloe did, too...and totally fashionable, the skirt on her and Mellany's suit was cute! The guys had tunics.
"A Warrior's Unmatched Strength! Divine Red!" Vince called out, doing his own role call, tightening his fists and flexing his arms as he puffed his chest in a mighty warrior display, his fist caught in his other hand over his chest. A brave warrior.
"A Rogue's Undying Cunning! Divine Yellow!" Chloe shouted following him, getting in on it. Like a true rogue she snapped into a more agile posture, leaning back slightly like a thief on the prowl and held one arm out to the side, the other elbow bent just to cover her mouth.
With the others after they went, together they would perform this! "Knights with Unbelievable Courage! Power Rangers Divine Knights!" They called with everybody, going from poses to a more relaxed stance.
There they stood. Rangers ready, powered up, and energized! The siblings observed themselves.
"This is incredible..." Chloe muttered. Vince breathed out. "We're...we're powerful," he said.

Torth snarled. "Power Rangers? What are Power Rangers!!!" he demanded. He'd get an answer in a minute!

Generations varied with dialect. Interesting words these people speak to them today. Strange things these people say every century. Indeed a large mystery Rogana never seemed to solve. How did language go downhill so quick? Some things that are uttered are less intelligent with each passing generation...and one of these Knights just let out a sound. Not even coherent language! Primitive!
She gasped and put her hand over her mouth as the young girl with a weird outfit on called her a hag. "How dare you refer to me as such! Rude child!" She returned. How despicable! She would make her pay dearly for the insult. Words didn't affect them much...but hag? Now that was just rude. So was the fact these humans breathed the same air as them Rude. She laughed as Torth mentioned the dead guardian and his son. "Oh yes, that! How delightful that our lords blade slid right in his gut! I'll bet his boy cried like a weakling. A simpleton."

Braxton snapped to attention as Torth said perhaps the most disgusting thing he'd heard in his life. "What did you say about Alexander?" He asked the disciple, angry he even speak of him so soon after his death. And insulting Peter like that. Braxton wasn't one to get emotional but he was mad, now. His lifelong goal of pursuing destiny aside he just wanted to rip thee demons to shreds. "I will cast you all into the void, you wretched stains on the Earth," he muttered through his teeth. These Shadoji had now earned a massive bolt of lightning to their heads...as well as a rock slide. And blizzard. And a blaze of eternal Hell fire from the darkest regions. But that's a section of study he never dared look into. Dark magic isn't his forte.
He crossed his arms and eyed the demons. He would take great joy in combating them. He agreed with Chloe. They shouldn't talk about the Harts... Not to him, or any others here. Not the ones who knew the deceased.

As the fire directed at them and the explosion rang, he didn't move. Like a statue Braxton stood with the others...not reacting like last time. He was too determined to move.
Rogana gasped and shared the confusion. How did they not die?!?!?!? Curses!!

A protective glyph would have made the most sense as to why they all remained still. Yet there is a lack of a glyph around them. This must be a result of their power...their destiny. This will be a day to remember. Ascelin should be here, but Braxton simply honored his king by being here. As well as Alexander...he'd honor his memory. "Demons shall not reckon with the Knights. Our generation will put you down like dogs."
He looked at Vince. "I'm ready," spoke Braxton. Time to put the theory of this device to work and humor the idea. Hopefully it would work and it wasn't just a wasted time of ideas. He would still say 'I told you so' if it didn't work. Respect aside he would point out when he was correct. Definitely. Doing as they all did, he took his medallion and Cellular, inserting it inside the device, hitting the one key, closing it and holding it close. "Divine Change!" Braxton said on whim as told, raising it up high and hitting the final button. Rays of light shone down on them all. Unbelievably...this put all logic to rest for him. Braxton couldn't explain it, but he knew it was working. Science was hard to think of now...magic maybe? How is this...the light was warm...magical..
Braxton just let it happen, mindlessly letting the suit form around him in light and grabbing the helmet, dawning it and standing still. Bestowed upon him, all of them...destiny. He couldn't believe this magic! The power.
Dressed in blue, he took a breath as magic surged through his veins, heart racing and brain racing! Silly as it was, without question he followed the others.
"A Mage's Unparalleled Magic! Divine Blue!" Braxton called out, magic flowing through him, his legs close together in a proper stance with his arms up as an esteemed mage, his arm acting as if it were holding a tome, the other high up to the sky.
"Knights with Unbelievable Courage! Power Rangers Divine Knights!" He called with the others as a team. Why he partook in ridiculous actions as that was beyond him. But the divine power he felt was without question. "Exquisite. This shall do!"

Rogana scoffed. She closed the umbrella and held it close to her chest. "Wh-wha? Inconceivable!" A mystery behind even her comprehension! What kind of power was this? These are supposed to be helpless fools! So be it...silly costumes will not help them!

Were they supposed to get scared by the words of those puny Knights? Hah! Laughable. One of them didn't even seem capable of speaking. Seemed like it was true. Every generation of Knights just got more and more pathetic. And these ones... they were the worst yet. Weak, hopeless... it shouldn't be much trouble to destroy them. He kept his snickering to himself as the young girl insulted Rogana. He highly respected his fellow Disciples, and if Rogana was an old hag, what would that make him, Dumanax' oldest Disciple? Yet still... Zaken admired courage when he saw it, and the young girl certainly had it. In fact, all of these knights showed bravery to face them despite being so unready. Pity this would be their last and only fight. They may have proven an interesting challenge in the long run, were it not for the fact they had already been defeated so easily. Shame, it would seem Zaken wouldn't find a worthy opponent in this generation.

Mellany's expression turned as cold as the blizzards she summoned when Torth spoke up again, speaking ill of late Alexander like that. She breathed slowly. It felt like the fires of Hell itself were running through her veins. "You. Did. Not," she said slowly. Of the five standing here, only three had known Alexander, some longer than others. And nobody here would accept it to hear anyone speak about their late mentor and his son like that. They were going to regret that. Putting all differences aside never seemed easier. Heck, this would be one of those times where she absolutely didn't mind agreeing with Braxton. "I'll gladly help you with that," she said to him. They deserved every spell that was humanely possible to cast and would hurt to be thrown at their heads. Ten times. Maybe more. Probably more. Underestimating them was one thing, telling them they weren't ready was nothing new... but speak like that about Alexander and Peter, and Hell would rain down upon you.

Raijah's usual warm expression darkened as if thunderclouds covered his face in shadows. His eyes were sharp and cold as ice. Speaking about the Harts like that, they had unleashed some primal fury that had better been left untouched. "You regret that," he growled at the Disciples. The Oathkeeper Tribe highly respected their ancestors and the deceased. Such disrespect as the Disciples here were showing... it was way beyond what Raijah could comprehend. He was pissed, like all the others. Seemed like this was one thing where the people of the Tribe and the people from the City could agree on.

Neither moved a muscle as another fireball was thrown at them. Torth may be the Disciple of Fire, but couldn't he think of something more original, seriously? They just coldly stared the trio down, determined to fight with all they had in them. For Peter, for Alexander, for Westfield and the world. Zaken tilted his head, sharing the confusion but letting out a sound that seemed between a chuckle and a tsk. Gotta give it to those five puny mortals. They had guts. Unlike their late mentor. Hehehe. Good one, Zaken! The Disciple thought it would be a good idea to say that out loud, just to taunt them a little bit more.

There was nothing that protected them, just their own determination. And destiny at work. Ascelin might not be here to fight at their side, but for now they'd do without him. Surely Ascelin wouldn't be mad at them for starting the fight without him and keeping the world safe in his hopefully temporary absence.
"You'll be send back to the pits of Hell you came from. For good, this time!" Mellany called.
"We protect this world," Raijah said. "You don't win."
Both looked at Vince and nodded. "Ready," the two said in unison. Time to see if the theory Peter and Alexander put all their faith in would work for real. They followed through with the steps Peter had told them. Raijah just hoped he remembered the words correctly Peter had told him to say. There were some difficult ones in there. They inserted the medallions in the device, hit the one key, closed the Knight Cellular and held the "phones" close.
"Divine Change!" they called, raising the Cellulars up into the air. Light beamed down upon them. It felt nice and warm. Powerful, magical... Divine, if you will. Was it.... was it working? It sure looked and felt like it. Raijah grinned. Who said the gods weren't real? Suits formed around them. Mellany's suit had a skirt on it. Awesome! It had been a while since she had worn a skirt like this. Reminded her of her days in high school.... Raijah mostly seemed shocked, because... shoes! Okay, boots... but still... shoes! No running around barefoot in this suit, it seemed. A damn shame.
"A Rogue's Unending Dexterity! Divine Black!" Raijhah called, squatting to the ground in a prowling position he used for hunting back in the woods on the island.
"A Mage's Unwavering Willpower! Divine White!" Mellany called, standing upright, one foot slightly in front of the other, hands raised beside her as if she were channeling a spell in both her hands.
"Knights with Unbelievable Courage! Power Rangers, Divine Knights!" the two called along the rest of the team. It was weird, alright. But it felt so good. Adrenaline, magic, power... it all surged through their bodies. They felt ready to take on the world.

Zaken, too, scoffed. "In all my years, I've never seen something like this," he said. He was curious. Perhaps he was wrong and they would prove to be a bit more interesting than he thought they would be. Not just helpless fools. Far from a challenge, that much was sure. But it would seem they had just become slightly worthier opponents.

Snorts came from Vince. The Shadoji were sorely caught off guard by this generation. Torth and his comrades were under the impression they were weaklings at best! But here they stand wielding some type of new power never seen before. "I demand to know what the meaning of this is!" Torth shouted angrily and flailed his arm.
"If you think you guys are taking Westfield and the world? You're wrong," Vince called back to him and the others. He felt his chest, the suit was...different. But it was cool! The Knights' most important attributes were amped up times ten! This is just the edge they need against their enemies. Time to go to work! Chloe looked down at herself and forward at the bad guys. So not how she saw today turning out. But she would do what she could!
"Alright, you guys, this one's for Mr. Hart!" Vince told the others. Chloe nodded in unison with them all. Payback time! He and Chloe put their arms up in a battle ready position to charge at the Shadoji.
"Thralls, destroy them!" Torth commanded, the Thralls unified in their responsive nod and racing towards these Rangers. Weapons held high the creatures charged at them, swinging and letting out those strange demonic gurgling/grunting sounds from their wicked grinned faces. The Rangers ran back at them to meet them head to head in an epic showdown!
---
At the Lair, Peter threw his arms up. Yes! It worked, they did it! His dad would be so proud! They just might stand a chance after all. This generation isn't through yet, they're only just getting started!
---
Running for the Thralls as the Disciples stood back and watched, the Rangers began battle. Vince cried out like a warrior and ran fist-first into a Thrall, dodging its weapon and knocking it back, his knuckles crashing its stupid face. One of them thrusted its ax at him, but he caught its arm and heavily slammed his elbow down to make it drop the ax, flinging its arm up and punching it aside, roundhouse kicking another incoming Thrall with all his might. A fine enough display of that warrior strength! He caught another fist coming at him and twisted its arm, shoving back all that got in his way, charging through them like a stampeding bull! Vince merely shrugged off the Thralls, supercharged enough to literally plow right through them. He laughed as he grabbed an arm and punched into ones stomach. Vince continued his rampage through the Thralls' front line assault.

Chloe, on the other hand...well... She ran to the Thralls, but being completely untrained with this power? Made her confident, but also completely lost. Weapons were swung at her, and she let out small shrieks and ducked each time they nearly beheaded her. She scrambled around, unsure of what to do. She was a cheer leader, not a fighter! Now there's partial regret for not listening and believing this stuff growing up. Wait a second. Cheer leader, hmm. She paused to think for a second when she got a kick on her back. Chloe grunted and fell forward. Breathing out, she pushed herself up and turned around. These creeps are gonna get it! Two Thralls came to her, grabbing at her from either side, making her act fast and block their arms, quickly jabbing at their guts. She jumped up and did an air split, kicking both creep-a-zoids back. She landed and smiled at herself...huh...maybe she isn't useless. Put that cheer practice to good use! Chloe cartwheeled past a few more of them and kicked them down domino style, making herself scarce and somehow vanishing from sight, appearing behind a Thrall and giving it a good chop to the back like a dastardly rogue. Woo! She dodged again and put those cheer skills to fighting, a lot of kicks and flips!

Such manner of tomfoolery has never crossed them before. In all these years no such power has existed! Clad in metal, leather, robes...carrying forge crafts of steel and wood. Those are the Knights these demons have face before. Not...Power Rangers. For a change it was Rogana that was confused. "What an outrage. The Knights aren't supposed to gain anything from a Guardian's death!" she whined and huffed. Slitting these humans' throats sure sounded like it'd be pleasurable now!

Braxton nodded at Vince. "They won't take our world." It was true. So long as he drew breath, he'd never cease the fight. He would continue studying magic and battling the demons. And like he would definitely have to, teach Mellany some proper magic, as well as give that new girl a lesson no history...and teach jungle boy how to wear some damn clothes. And not try to eat soup with his hands. That first night was a challenge. "Yes, for Alexander!" He agreed with Vince, swearing vengeance on Torth specifically as well as these bastards with him. And Dumanax. He would find a spell to seal him away far beneath the Earth!
He charged in with the others. Why they didn't bring or use weaponry was beyond him. Oh well. Primitive fighting it was, then. Rogana huffed again as the Thralls went forth. "Crush them!" She yelled in addition.

Braxton ran into the Thralls with the others, elegantly leaping upward and over a cluster of the demons and landing behind them. They stopped dead in their tracks and wildly turned to swing their weapons at him. He rested his hands behind his back and casually leaned back with every swipe of a weapon, avoiding being struck like a walk in the park. Mages aren't so physically inept, lesser known fact. He could handle himself. Part of his training was to not only harness and wield magic of great power and danger but also to be able to protect his King in any situation. No King here, but he'd use those skills. Braxton flipped a Thrall onto the ground, yanking out its weapon and slashing it across three of its allies. He tossed the thing aside and smoothly kicked into the crowd, diving right in with a rather enchanting stance, accurately kicking them down one by one. He ducked down to dodge, elbowing his attacker in the side and shoving them back. He chuckled at the simple fight this was..unlike earlier at the farm. But he wasn't weakened now. Braxton chanted to himself and let out a quick burst of electricity from his hands, shocking down Thralls with ease from just a basic lightning spell. Pity, really. A true battle mage, Braxton delivered another bolt from his hands, tripping enemies as well to keep them on the ground. Who said mages are helpless?

"On the bright side, they're all wearing some type of cloth now. No armors to protect them," Zaken said, pointing his blade at the... Power Ranges... as this generation of Knights had just called themselves. Still.... slaughtering them like their master had done to the Knights' Guardian sounded like a great plan. The sooner that was done with, the sooner they'd take the stinking hole that's Westfield. And then the world. Words nor odd suits would keep the Divine Knights safe from Dumanax' revenge.

Mellany and Raijah nodded at Vince. "Westfield is our home. We won't let them have it," Mellany said. Nor the rest of the world, for that matter. But seeing as how the Shadoji were here... well, Westfield would be a good start with protecting the rest of the world, wouldn't it? Mellany may have a lot to learn as a mage, but she had her willpower going for her. Once she set her mind to something, she'd never give up! Always been like that, too. Right now her mind was set to just one thing: avenging Alexander and make sure his death wouldn't have been in vain. "For Alexander," she agreed with a nod. She charged at the Thralls alongside the others.
"Earth is human home. Not Shadoji," Raijah said. And you'd be damn sure he would fight to keep it that way. Earth was home to the humans, to the plants and the animals... not to demons. He may be the primal hunter, he might not understand much of the world outside of the island, but he knew they too would be in danger if the Shadoji weren't stopped. Humans were already polluting and destroying their world, the Shadoji needn't add in on that. "For Alexander," he said slowly, following the others in the charge. He probably had the least trouble with primitive fighting, because well.... primal hunter raised on an island with somewhat primitive people. Wrestling on the island was probably similar to this. Except now people could get hurt and if they weren't careful they'd die.
"Tear them to pieces!" Zaken called to the Thralls, swinging his blade around.

Mellany jumped, leaping over a Thrall and landing with her feet on it's back. She smirked under the visor of her helmet. This was fun. She had trained most of her youth to become a rogue, but now she was just a rather agile mage. Mellany kicked backwards, knocking a weapon out of a Thrall's hands. Magic-wise she might have a thing or two to learn, but she wasn't defenseless and could certainly serve the king well if he were here. But whatever, she could fight well enough, and look graceful while doing it! Unlike some of her team members. Mellany patiently waited, beckoning the Thralls to come closer. And once they were in her reach... she spin-kicked them to the ground. She conjured a ball of hail shards, pelleting the Thralls. Hey, this really WAS fun!

Raijah, similar as to when they saved Vince and Chloe, tackled down a Thrall, punching the wickedly grinning face. Scary ugly things, those Thralls were. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a Thrall attempting to sneak up on him from behind. Raijah placed his hands on the ground and kicked backwards like a horse trying to kick off its rider.

Bright costumes would be no help against weapons on their skin. Or fire. Torth watched as these humans battled the Thralls, performing very strange acrobatic moves in addition to more traditional means of hand-to-hand fighting. Stupid of them not to bring any weaponry with them to at least further delay their deaths.
These humans just had a death wish, it would appear.

Running through generic soldiers of the Shadoji was a walk in the park. Something about adrenaline in his veins and power pumping his muscles caused Vince to storm through them with ease. He knocked them down left and right, picking one of the Thralls up, lifting it high up above his head and tossing it at its comrades, plummeting down into them like a bowling ball down the track. Nothing could stop him, it seemed. Everybody was unstoppable! Nothing could possibly--ah! Vince yelped as he was struck from behind by one of the weapons of the demon soldiers. Sparks flew from his place of injury, oddly enough. Yet he...felt fine. It stung, but he was okay! The suits must protect them from damage! It's like armor! But more fitted and stylized. He laughed to himself and turned around, ramming his arm into the head of his attacker. Maybe it was time to even the odds a bit? "Hey guys, there were weapons in the Lair right? Let's try them out!" He announced to the other Rangers across the area. Through some kind of...magic or calling system embedded in the suit, Vince now wielded a sidearm. A sword that can be used by all Rangers! It must be the Divine Calibur...the blades entrusted to all Knights once they're in the order! But it's been upgraded! Forged for this Ranger power!
"Divine Calibur!" he called to nearby Thralls, swinging the sword around and slashing across their chests, sparks coming from them as well, only they stayed down! He grinned to himself and swiped down, slashing at yet another one, putting his expert swordsmanship to use. He clashed with an ax coming his way, parrying it and thrusting the sword into the Thrall.

Chloe flipped through Thralls and kept up her agile rogue stance. She was getting a crash course in this Knight business. And the cool new powers certainly made it easier! She wammed her elbow back against ones face and kicked high up at another's face! She looked her brothers way, seeing him hit but not really...hurt? The suits are protective, then...cool! Maybe they won't die so easy! The girl put her thumb up affirmatively when he suggested bringing weapons into the mix. But...how? Like seriously, nothing was with them. Chloe just simply thought about a weapon coming to her, and through some convenient twist of divine power, she got one! A blaster pistol came to her, the other sidearm available to them all. It was called Divine Shooter. The blaster, unlike the sword, was more akin to the modern side of this generation. She looked at it. "Whoa...a blaster! Cool!" She said, aiming it at a Thrall and blasting it square in the chest. She never fired a gun before but she at least had a keen eye! Chloe smirked and fired again, again, again! Shooting Thralls was so much easier than being all flippy!

Torth cursed. What's this? Weapons...getting hit but not dying? What is this cursed magic????

"Dreadful, absolutely dreadful. And what a gorgeous day....makes me sick!" Rogana said, fanning herself with her hand. Pretty skies and nice weather. Disgusting! As were the Divine Knights facing off with their soldiers. An overly flamboyant display of their ability meant nothing in the overall scale of things, just because of fancy looks they wouldn't live long. Unlike Rogana and Urla...they were beautiful mistresses of evil and they'd been alive for a long time! So had Lusa, but she was only a new addition. And a bit on the 'feasted too much side' of you ask her. Tsk tsk.
Rogana was loyal to her kind but she had no problem saying negative things about them, as well.

Braxton swerved around and whimsically missed attacks coming at his face. The girls may have more of a background with flexibility in their old or current activities, but he himself was rather limber. Part of the training to guard his King's honor and life with his own. He'd lay his life on the line as all have been expected to do before him. And unlike all before him, he dawns this new power as ridiculous and marvelous as it is. He witness as Vince had been struck, only relaying sparks from his costume. "Sparks? This isn't the fourth of July, how quaint..." he thought aloud. To be hit only to get sparks come out? Better than blood one may suppose. But the suits were armor of their own. Excellent. Being a Ranger may not be so bad, after all. The mere mention of weaponry relieved him. Weapons would be so much more effective than 'martial arts'. Braxton caught two incoming attacks in his hands and redirected them at each other, shoving them back and kicking back. "I thought you would never suggest it," he replied. He saw Vinve now dawning the Divine Calibur, a fine blade for all knights...but it looked new. And Chloe, a blaster. The Divine...Shooter? Hmm. Clearly for this generation. He cared not for the addition of essentially a gun, so he would choose the former.
From seemingly nowhere, he summoned the sword. "Divine Calibur. Perfect," he commented and faced Thralls. He pointed it at them, they were going to meet a fate worse than they deserved. He charged and struck down a couple of Thralls with an X slash, clanging against a Thrall's weapon and hitting it with the butt of the handle. He slashed up and down, elegantly moving through the Thralls and cutting them down. Again, mages are more than spells and knowledge.
He charged the blade with lightning and slashed forward. "Thunder sweep," he said to call the attack, a slash of thunder sweeping into the Thralls and cutting them down. Sparks emitted from them...hmm. Charming.

Zaken grunted at the ease with which these... Power Rangers... were dealing with the Thralls. Someone, not him, would have to properly whip them into shape. This was just insulting! On the other had Zaken was convinced the Knights' King would be insulted too if he were to see these failures fighting. Colorful, flamboyant... in no way knightly. They might be winning against the Thralls now, but it was a ridiculous sight. But.... what's with them not dying when they're hit with weapons?! They didn't even seem to be hurt. Tch. Would be different if he got to attack them, not some stupid lowly Thrall.

Mellany kept dodging attacks, jumping around, kicking and punching Thralls where she landed and swiftly moving out of the way again. She may be a Mage, but her self-trained rogue stills sure came in handy! Or maybe it was just really part of being a "Mystical Enchantress"... those type of ladies did seem to have some grace to them, anyway. Whereas the Thralls had been annoying and painful to fight before, now it was a cakewalk! Yes, they were all wearing strange and colorful outfits, no, it wasn't in any way "knightly", but it was helping them to kick some serious ass. Her eyes widened under her visor as Vince was struck. Part of her expected he'd just fall over dead... or severely injured. But none of that happened. Instead there were just sparks. Odd... But it seemed like Mellany was right when she suggested they'd just give the ranger thing a shot. It WAS working! Take that, Braxton! Vince's suggestion of getting the weapons sounded just about brilliant by now. "I'd say "Hell yeah!" is not quite appropriate, given the circumstances we've seen today... but HELL YEAH!" Mellany called. She flipped out of the way of two Thralls trying to attack her from the sides, resulting in the two moronic beings to hit each other on the head instead. Vince and Braxton were wielding the Divine Calibur already... Chloe the Divine Shooter. Talking about combining the old with the new! Hmm... which one would she use now? Watching Braxton fight with the Calibur gave her an idea of her own... Giving it a second thought it just seemed to make more sense to channel magic through a sword than through a gun, anyway. She summoned the sword, holding it in her hands and grinning widely under her visor. "This is gonna be good," she said, slashing another Thrall out of the way. Oh, it was so very tempting to jab one in the gut and make it a Thrall-Shish Kebab. Vengence for Alexander! But she didn't. Whereas Braxton channeled lightning in his blade, she charged hers with ice. "Freezing Slash!" she called her attack. She would have called it "Frozen" but being a female magic user who was (ab)using ice magic in an awesome way... well... the urge to sing "Let it go" might be a bit too tempting. She slashed forward, a gust of bone-chilling cold complete with small snowflakes sweeping at the Thralls. Quite odd to see how cold caused sparks, really. But at least it was working and the Thralls were going down!

Raijah fought like any person in his tribe would when faced with potential death and dangers. Disregard common sense, trust your instincts. And it worked well enough. He even seemed to have forgotten he was wearing shoes! And that said something. He kicked, punched, elbowed, dodged. Who needed weapons, anyway? The sparks, however, startled him a bit. People weren't supposed to have fire or sparks coming out of them! That demons did so probably made sense, but it was scary even so! He jumped back, knocking over a Thrall in the process. Well, at least that sort of went right. He watched the others summon weapons. And one of them... was capable of shooting. Hah. "Raijah give it a shot," he said, summoning Divine Shooter and firing it into the Thralls. Who said "giving it a shot" was just something people say? He was giving it a shot. And another one. And another one.

Ha! Raijah said 'give it a shot'...it's funny because earlier it confused him and...no? Not that funny? Huh....Vince and Chloe got a snicker out of it as they overheard him speak. It seemed as though he, Braxton and Mellany wielded the swords as well, throwing in their own magical twists of power. These weapons were awesome! Not bound to any real rules, just universal side arms for all five of them! Vince delivered several more might blows of the Knight Calibur against the Thralls, slashing through them and cutting them down one by one, eventually performing his own charged attack. "Divine Crash!" He called to the enemies and heavily swept his blade at them, red energy barreling against them. Sparks flew and they fell, finished off for good.
Chloe shot more blasts into the crowd and picked them off, leaving nothing but fallen over baddies in her path. Sweet!

After the Thralls were made short work of, Vince and Chloe reunited with everybody in a group. After making sure they were all okay, they got to quick banter. "Wow, these things are awesome!" Chloe commented, showing everyone the blaster.
Vince smirked. "Yeah, tell me about it." Really, the weapons were amazing. He held up the blade and ran his fingers along it. It was so nicely made...forged for this generation. Worth a Knight! But before they could further be amazed and compliment their fighting, Torth cleared his throat and stepped forward with Rogana and Zaken. A bigger battle was to come to these pests.
"You don't think it's over yet, do you, Rangers?" He asked, his hands flaring with flames within the palms.
Vince glared at the three Shadoji. One of each class type. A warrior, a mage, and a rogue...ish. "Tch," Vince muttered and stood back in the center. Chloe looked at them and quickly joined Vince's side...not gonna lie, she's a little afraid of these demons. She knew she could fight somehow, but...
"Now this is the fun part. Guys, time to bust out the good stuff," Vince alerted the others. Chloe looked at him and nodded. They can take them...right?

Somehow holstering away the sidearm weapons, the Rangers now had access to even better ones. Vince withdrew a large, two-handed greatsword. A guard over the handle was long and bladed, almost like a shield. Maybe...hmm. Vince held onto the handle of the greatsword and rested the thing on his shoulder. It was heavy, but manageable for someone like him. As a warrior this was his weapon.
Then Chloe summoned a bow and arrow. Well...the bow, anyway. No arrows...but something told her they'd be made of energy? Like blasts... The limbs were curved/angled slightly, almost like daggers! She gripped the handle of the bow and aimed it forward, ready to stack arrows at the bad guys! Raijah had been summoned a set of daggers...almost looking like it was just Chloe's bow split in two? Hmm. Oh well, daggers for Raijah, for rogue! And Braxton and Mellany had both been able to summon a staff, long in design with a small blade on the end, and the tip was a diamond shape with glyph-like patters as well as respective elemental ones. Almost twin weapons in a way. "Now these are worthy of the Knights," Vince commented with his giant blade on his shoulder. Chloe looked at his weapon and nearly shrieked. So big! Hers was lighter...and familiar in a way. Archery lessons! The siblings and their friends were well-armed. To battle! Vince pointed his sword at the demons, "Charge!" he shouted, running for Zaken and the others. Chloe let out a cry and followed him, running after the demons for battle

Torth snarled and snapped his fingers. He led his two fellow disciples against the Rangers. They would not survive this, no matter what weapons they used! Torth fired at the mages, deciding to take on his own kind and show them what a real mage could do! He fired smaller fire balls at the blue and white fools, eager to burn them into crisps! His fire may have landed a few bursts on them but there was no telling if it was enough to make them stay down.

Chloe ran after Rogana along side Raijah. "C'mon, let's show this style-less hag what we've got!" Chloe said to him, joining in an effort to take her down! She ran at the evil woman and fired a trio of arrows at her. They were made of light...awesome! And the bowstring was, too? Weird... oh well. Chloe leaped up and over Rogana after shooting arrows at her, hopefully pelting her with some divine justice. She'd let Raijah have a turn at her. Mostly because she doesn't have as much training and fighting a big bad villain scared her...but also he was probably better at this. But mostly the first thing. She'll keep her distance!

And Vince? He directed himself at the other warrior, Zaken. One on one! Mano y mano! He charged for Zaken, swinging his heavier blade at the chaos disciple, clashing blades with him at least once, the large greatsword just sliding along the edge of Zaken's weapon, resting on the ground while Vince kicked him back, then kicked the blade up onto his shoulder to run in for another attack. This is what he'd trained for. This weapon, this situation, this..everything! He was living up to at least part of what he'd expected his whole life. And he was perfectly fine with it.
"Ready to give up?" Vince asked him, swinging his blade again at him. Boy it sure was heavy!

Braxton just tilted his head up as Mellany also used a magical attack with the sword. She at least showed promise in the field. And Raijah wasn't afraid of a blaster. How shocking. Vince and Chloe seemed to be enjoying themselves, perhaps more playing than fighting ancient demons they're by blood sworn to battle. He shook his head at them all and swiftly cut down the remainder of the Thralls, putting these demons down like animals. Returning the favor from before, forcing the demons to taste steel!

He rejoined the Rangers and further inspected the weaponry. "I have to say, these are rather nice pieces. Don't care much for guns, but the blades might as well be gifts from the ancestors," he commented. He knew they were newly made, but the sentiment is what he was going for. He twirled it around at his side just feeling its weight, so light but so sharp. Nimble, too. Braxton sure did admire it. "I'm amazed nobody died out there, so kudos," he told the others, noting how even the more inexperience were still standing. Becoming quite proficient already, were they? Maybe the powers they'd been given had something to do with it. He wasn't only saying it to Chloe, but also...well, everyone. Mellany for her being her, Raijah for being not so bright, Vince for being the new guy, and Chloe for being a complete newbie. At least he was complimenting them...sort of. Constructiveness!
Rogana joined her comrades in approaching the Rangers.

Braxton exhaled as the demons made their approach. Following lead again and swiping his blade to the side, he put it away. "Not the first thing you've said that I already did," he commented as Vince suggested the real weapons come out. He summoned his magic staff, a true mage's weapon. The long shaft of the staff was light and easy to wield, and the blade would come in handy. He examined the tip...truly magical. The other weapons, minus his and Mellany's who seemed to be twins almost, were diverse. Vince's blade, and the rogues' bow and daggers. "Agreed. Worthy of the Knights," he agreed with Vince.
He rested the end of his staff on the ground before charging under his leadership, dragging the blade of his staff along the ground, running after Torth. Fitting he should deal with him. Time for some payback for Alexander. Even if he didn't kill him, he was there.
He dodged the fire incoming at him and Mellany. "Funny this should be our match up," he commented, then getting struck by a stray wad of flame. Sparks flew, but he didn't stop. It kind of hurt... But he survived.
"Payback," he muttered to himself only and ran up to the demon, swinging his staff melee style at him, swiping it wide across his chest and slamming it on the ground, a bolt of lightning raining from the sky and at Torth.

Rogana ran in with her own, the rogues coming after her. There the yellow one went with that hag business again. What would she know about style? Those clothes from before and this outfit now...so bright and...so sickening! She opened the umbrella and spun it before her, using it to block the arrows coming at her. She huffed, "I won't be insulted like this!" she stomped. She continued to spin the umbrella and directing projectiles at the yellow child, swiping it at the black ranger while it spun.

Raijah saying to "give it a shot" had also resulted in a snicker on Mellany's side. Him taking everything so literally was confusing at times, sometimes it made things impossible to explain... and at other times it was just hilarious. Like now. He had something to shoot with, so he'd quite literally "give it a shot"... okay, no need to explain all that, it was obvious just the way it was. Pretty neat to see everyone use their sidearms the way they did. Whether they were using special attacks of some sort or just blasting into the crowd. Thralls went down like domino's, so they really had that going for them. And not all that much later, the Thralls were just all piles and bodies on the ground. Nothing to be worried about for now.

Mellany and Raijah joined sides with the others again, satisfied with not only their work, but of that of the others as well. Most might have had training as Knights, but they were all pretty damn new to this Ranger business. And they really weren't doing half a bad job while at it!
"I'd say awesome doesn't quite cover it," Mellany grinned under her visor. The weapons were... well.. insert any word meaning awesome amplified by ten here. So well crafted... magical yet modern, looking like it could have been passed down from their ancestors.. yet something recently crafted. Masterful work, really! And really quit useful at cutting down Thralls. Or blasting them to bits. Raijah just eagerly nodded. There wasn't really anything he could say to add to the conversation. The weapons were good at doing what they were meant for... or they were good at using them. Maybe both. Anyway, not much left for the jungleman to say.
Braxton complimenting them in his own... odd... way was... well, weird. "I suppose we should thank you now?" Mellany raised an eyebrow. Really, this was as close of a compliment as it could get on his side. "You weren't half bad yourself out there too, anyway," she said with a small shrug. Might as well attempt to return the favor.. tough it was more likely it would bolster is ego to even more ridiculous levels.
"Thank you!" Raijah merely happily said, noticing how Braxton tried to give a compliment.
Zaken stood on Torth's other side. He didn't like the younger Disciple taking charge here. That should be his task as the oldest Disciple! He supposed it mattered not much. by the end of the day the Rangers would be dust and ashes, nothing but a memory of times gone by.

As the real demons approached them, Raijah's instincts were telling him to run. These folks were dangerous and wouldn't be so easy compared to the Thralls. But the fiery one had killed Alexander... and the other two were very bad too. Plus, his friends were still standing. And if there was one thing Raijah knew, not to say he only knew one thing, it was loyalty. Loyalty to his tribe, his family... his friends, the king should be be present. Whomever Raijah sided with, he'd be loyal and not abandon them! Now Mellany on the other hand... she didn't have instincts as strong as Raijah. But she did have that voice of reason telling her to GTFO. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down, thankfully finding yet another reason to be snappy at Braxton.
"Geez, don't you just hate it when that happens," she said as he mentioned having suggested a thing before. He did that to her so often... Sure was annoying. Well, at least right now she could tell herself she was agreeing with Vince and not with the prick. She summoned her Staff, feeling the weight in her hands, her fingers running over the runic glyphs engraved on it. "Beautiful..." she said under her breath. Hey, look at that! It came with a blade for slashing and stabbing! So she wouldn't be stuck just flinging Arcane Bolts and Icicles at her enemies. Neat! As she saw Chloe wield her bow, Mellany felt a sting of jealousy. SHE had taken archery lessons for a large part of her childhood...not this... child who up until a moment ago wanted nothing to do with this all and was terrified of everything. Put the differences aside. That's the only way you'll beat these fuckers... she told herself. Didn't make the stinging a lot less though. Just a teensy bit.
Raijah summoned his weapon... or weapons... a pair of daggers. He looked at his weapons, then at Chloe's...For a moment he held his daggers together and looked again. Just because he grew up in very different circumstances, it didn't mean Raijah was dumb. He was clever enough to see the similarities between thew rogues' weapons.

"I say the hothead should really cool down," Mellany commented as she charged Torth alongside Beaxton. This only to be hit with a fireball in the chest. Oof... Yeah, that one hurt. And like with Vince when he was struck... or with Braxton in front of her, she noted, only sparks went flying. Sure, being hit with fire hurt... but it could have been a lot worse. She'd live, easily. Mellany followed Braxton's example of slashing first, then slamming her staff down. Only unlike him, she didn't call down a bolt of lightning. Instead, Mellany called forward a cone of cold. Hmm... did Ice magic being her preferred type say something about her personality, she wondered? Probably not, since Braxton didn't seem to have any "characteristics" in common with lightning. She didn't really expect her Cone of Cold to permanently take care of Torth.. the guy... demon... wasn't a Disciple for nothing. But she sure hoped it would be at least a bit annoying for him.
"I've got an idea," she called to Braxton as she leaped out of Torth's direct range of being punched. "And I'm gonna have to ask ya to follow my lead on this one." She wasn't stupid... explaining right in front of Torth what her plan was would make for imminent, direct, and painful failure. Synchronized casting was a thing, yes? She'd only been training as a mage for a few months... closer to weeks, actually... so she hadn't exactly covered al of the being a mage yet. But she was clever enough to theorize that if two Mages were to simultaneously... or as close as they could get... cast the same spell... the effects should be amplified. And what do two Snow Storms make? A Blizzard. What helped against Fire? Well... making it run out of oxygen, throwing sand on it, water... quite a few things. Casting a Blizzard at a Fire Mage? That should help. She started casting, hoping Braxton would go along with her. They might not like each other at all... but right now they kinda had no choice but to fight side by side against the one who witnessed Alexander's murder.

"That not nice," Raijah commented as Chloe insulted Rogana again. How smart of an idea was it to taunt and pester a demon? "But they not nice too." Still didn't mean he thought insulting the demons was a good idea. It might come back to bite you in the ass... just like how getting mad at the gods was a bad idea. They're listening, and they sure love their revenge. Kind of like Mellany... but more lethal. He followed her in the charge, watching her shoot at the demon-lady. Even Raijah thought it was weird Rogana used her umbrella to deflect arrows... and hit him! That was no normal umbrella! It was an EVIL UMBRELLA! Raijah grunted upon being hit and hissed. He wasn't going to stop or back down. He leaped up, daggers ready, kind of like claws and made an 'X' slash at Rogana while landing, quickly rolling out o the way to prevent from being hit by the evil umbrella again.

Zaken laughed as the red ranger charged at him. Oh, finally! How long he had awaited this day. At last his blade would taste the blood of knights again. More specifically, that of the one in charge when their precious king wasn't around. Their blades clashed in the air, sparks raining down on the both of them. As the red ranger swung his blade again, Zaken caught it with his own blade and kicked at the foolish mortal's stomach.
"Are you ready to end up like your pathetic guardian?" he asked in return, jabbing his blade forward.

"They're bad guys, we're not supposed to be nice to them!" Chloe replied from afar as Raijah scolded her for insulting Rogana. Seriously, she's a villain, who cares what you say to her? Any rebuttal from him however would have to wait. She used that damn umbrella to deflect her arrows back at her for the most part. Okay...ouch! It stung like a million bees! Maybe not that much, someones being dramatic, but it did hurt. Not long, though, seeing how soon both she and jungle boy recovered. Teamwork had been her forte, seeing as how she's on the cheer leading squad at Westfield Central and they have to constantly work together. The towers, routines, and risky jumps and flips couldn't be done unless the girls--and some boys--would focus and concentrate. Chloe had little trouble adjusting to working with Raijah, here...even if he was a bit off. Nice, though.
She reunited with him after he attacked the disciple like the hunter he should be. "Nice one, Rai..Raijuh...." Chloe praised him but forgot how to pronounce his name. Awkward. Chloe then gave his arm a subtle nudge and tilted her head at Rogana. "Let's do it," she told him and charged in again. This hag needed to be taught a few manners! Whatever attacks the mystery disciple had would hurt, but they wouldn't stop! Chloe pelted the woman with more arrows of light, firing a cluster of them with a single pull of the bowstring, running in with Raijah full force. Her arrows hit, landing on the disciples body to give her some hurt. Take that!

No appreciation for being taunted by such foolish humans. Torth merely shrugged off being struck by staffs and then bolted with lightning and the cold cone. What is this magic? Child's play? Torth scoffed as sparks flew from him in turn, it did not hurt. It almost tickled.
"Hmm, I'd figure that failure of a guardian would have taught you better. He was a fool, a waste. Remember to greet him in the next life for me," he uttered to the two mages just before a blizzard had been cast his way. He pushed back against the sudden storm of cold magic, using his fire to keep it at bay. Slivers of the cold managed to strike him, stuttering his body in sparks and causing him to stumbled back. Interesting.
Snapping his fingers, he conjured up more flame and erupt it from the ground beneath them, immolating a glyph of seething fire at the two Rangers' feet, bursting up at them for a wicked attack. That should do it.

Oof! Feeling an ancient being of evil's foot crash into his gut made Vince regret eating all of that chicken for lunch earlier today. Dang it, Chick-Fil-A...why does it have to be so delicious and had to resist? The greatsword acted as a ready cane, allowing him to use it for balance and keep him from falling into the ground. The real midst of combat was different from a defenseless training dummy made of burlap sacks filled with sand in the backyard. "Don't talk about him that way," he said to Zaken as he spoke of Alexander. How dare he...that's just plain wrong. Vince leaped back to avoid the jabbed blade his way, instead sweeping his heavy sword at Zaken and bashing him in the side, forcing the disciple off his feet and rolling onto the ground.
A battle cry emerged from Vince's lips as he ran at the downed chaotic madman, slamming the huge sword into the ground where he lay, cracking the surface of the ground a bit and forcing him to make an indent of the villains body. Had to hurt, but it wouldn't be enough to take him down for sure. Vince's drive and passion for knighthood and those he should hold dear was enough to push him forward and show just how strong he was. "Had enough yet?" He asked Zaken, taking his blade and pulling it up, bringing the disciple with it u from the ground and flinging him in another direction.

Moving in and avoiding being filleted alive proved a challenge. Braxton was able to keep Torth's fire at bay for a time but not for very long. At first the idea of following Mellany's lead was a most stupid idea. "Follow your lead?" He asked her before hearing and glaring at the Disciple of Fire. There he went badmouthing their guardian again. Had this demon or his brethren ever heard of respect for the dead? Probably not since most demons enjoyed possessing the dead...or thriving off of death somehow. This was evil. He furrowed his brow and nodded at Mellany. Differences aside and his dislike for her, he used what little respect he had for the girl and worked with her. He'd been taught to always cooperate when needed.
He cast a spell along side of Mellany, only not a direct snow spell like her. It wasn't his thing, really. Instead he cast a thunder spell, powering the storm while she provided the ice. Together, it made for a powerful focused blizzard! The blizzard had apparently made for a fair assault. Braxton would have given the girl credit, if he'd not been suddenly shot up with fire. He yelped out as the fire hit, forcing him onto his back, his staff acting as the perfect leverage. "I shall not be made victim to this nonsense," he muttered. "Maker, spirits, be with me," he chanted to himself for guidance from a presence he'd studied about in a tome before. Just something on the side in addition to magic studies. Braxton held his staff up and twisted it 'round in the air like a helicopter blade, casting lightning from the sky to rain down on him, circling him with enough power to unleash a barrage of bolts toward the disciple, vengeance and duty providing the perfect second wind. That and being better in skill.

Rogana groaned and staggered back as the primitive pest struck her with those sharp objects. How dare he hit a lady like that! Someone had ought to behead him for such distaste. Intolerable, that is. And this girl, she encouraged it! Now that's puzzling. A female enabling violence towards another of the same sex? What a mystery, to her!
"Your cooperation means nothing. You've felt my stings, now feel my wrath!" Rogana called to the two rogues, twirling the umbrella once more in the air, a gust of wind picked up on it and sending her into the air, hovering like Mary Poppins. She found herself getting shot down by the yellow ones arrows, sparks flying from her dress and making her fall on the ground again. She huffed, closing the umbrella and now holding it like a sword. This insignificant children would pay dearly! As they ran in, she swept the umbrella at them in a slashing motion, forwarding attacks of dark sweeps in their direction, blasting their chests and the ground near them. They seemed to not stop, however. Fools would get what they wanted soon enough... Death! Rogana reopened the umbrella and spun it, the tassels on the edges sending out little wisps on the ground, tiny sparks going up all around for a distraction. She can't be beaten so easy, now. This generation was already proving rather interesting. Perhaps Dumanax would need more than brute force.

"You really need to shut up!" Mellany called to Torth as he once again taunted them by insulting Alexander. Really, it was a bad idea to keep doing that. So far they were still standing and fighting pretty damn well. If Alexander truly had done such a bad job, they would al be dead by now. But they weren't. Stupid demons deserved even more hell rained down upon them. No, wait, they'd probably enjoy hell being rained down. HEAVEN raining down would be a better thing to say. After all, they were the Divine Knights, weren't they? Hah! She could tell Braxton didn't like working together with her like this, and really, the feeling was mutual. She disliked him and wouldn't usually want to cooperate with him, but two mages stood a better chance against a magic using Disciple than one alone would. But at least he did as she asked! That was a god thing. Hmm, who knows, maybe they'll grow to at least tolerate each other? Her plan even ended up working! She would want to say something about it, demand the credit that was well due... But then they were blasted up into the air by a glyph. Hot hot hot! Mellany yelped as the fire shot up and sent her flying... And she grunted upon a not-so-soft landing on her back. She rolled over and pushed herself up. She gripped her staff tightly and took a deep breath. "I invite the powers of wind at my side. I invite the powers of cold at my side," she chanted. A different approach than Braxton, for sure. Studying different tomes does that to a person. And her approach was definitely a bit more... mystical. Hey, she was the "Mystical Enchantress" after all! She kept holding her staff in front of her, taking slow and steady breaths. She felt the air swirl around her, the temperature gradually dropping. After a moment or so, even the air she breathed out were as cold as gusts of wind in the middle of winter. When satisfied with the freezing cold and particles of snow swirling around her, she pointed the staff at Torth in a fashion as if she were throwing something at his ugly head. There it went, a swirling, ice cold gust of wind... The second time she was casting a spell like this today. Speaking of taking things literal!

Raijah grinned under his visor as Chloe tried to pronounce his name, but got it slightly wrong. It didn't matter too much to him. He appreciated she was trying. His name was probably as strange to them as all of their names were to him! The nudging part was weird though. He just nudged back, thinking that was something he was supposed to do in this case. Now what she said next, however.. that he did understand perfectly fine. The evil demon lady needed to be taken down. "Back to hell!" Raijah called to Rogana as he charged again. The demon flew up in the air using her umbrella.. which startled Raijah for a moment. But she was quickly shot back down by Chloe. Good! Humans weren't supposed to fly. Then again, this was a demon and not a human... but she didn't have wings. If it doesn't have wings, it shouldn't fly. That's bad. And against nature! Raijah didn't much like things that went against nature. Magic, however, was fine. But magic was, in a way, part of nature. Unlike demons. Or cars. Or computers. Or those big metal birds full of people... Some of those didn't only go against nature, they were also harming it! The people in the cities really should be more thankful for all the things nature is giving them and has given to their ancestors! Raijah let another fury of sweeps loose on the evil demon with her weird umbrella. Some of his blows, however, were deflected as she used it as a sword. Raijah was struck a couple of times, but he wouldn't st-... Ooh, pretty lights! Nevermind! Not so pretty lights! They exploded! Well, it sure worked as a distraction for him...

"I shall talk about him however I please. You'll be joining him soon enough anyway," Zaken laughed menacingly. He would have charged in for another attack, but the Red Ranger was a split second faster. Zaken got bashed in the side and lost his balance. He rolled over the ground and got slammed by the sword before he even got the chance to get back to his feet. Oof! He was pulled back up as the Red Ranger lifted his sword again. then he was flung into another direction. Sure, it hurt, but Zaken wouldn't go nor stay down so easily. He got back to his feet and laughed. Ah, the rush of combat. How he had missed this... Maybe he had underestimated this ranger in particular. Maybe this young man was a worthy opponent... Or would grow into one, anyway. For now, this man was still too weak, and Zaken himself still had to properly wake up after nearly a century of slumbering. "Enough?" Zaken laughed again. "Oh, I am just getting started." He charged again, sweeping his sword at the Ranger, clashing blades a few times before seeing an opening and strike again.

Searing flames weren't enough for these foolish mortals. Despite the power he'd displayed, Torth was met with thunder and ice, roaring down from the sky and from a gust of wind from the mages. For apprentices at best, they managed to force Torth to the ground, smoke emitting from his outward appearance with the sparks of lightning and ice, rolling on his side, his head bopping around as his body greeted the ground. The blue and white mages' finishing attacks had managed to lay some sense of defeat on him. But he would not fall so easily, not facing death yet. He stood back on his feet and staggered around, flaring flame from his hands and watching how his brethren fared against the others.

Who called Mary Poppins all of a sudden? Watching Rogana just fly like that was weird...good thing Chloe shot her down before she got too weird on them. She felt bad for not pronouncing Raijah's name right off the bat, but she was learning. And she just met the guy, so leave her alone and leave her be! Sparkly lights wouldn't easily keep Chloe distracted, though. She nearly had to yell at jungle boy over here, like he'd forgotten he was in a bloody battle against an ancient hag demon!
A few of her shots may have been blocked, but no biggie. In each opening, she felt herself taking a shot and exposing every weak point on Rogana, going past that freaking umbrella to get arrows in every nook and cranny. Each time she herself got hit, she felt the sting but it didn't last. Together with Raijah, she did a duo combo of arrows and slashing, firing a heavy bursting arrow her way with Raijah's daggers to back it up. The attack would knock her off of her feet and, like Torth, she was going to be beaten!

Vince huffed angrily and Zaken. This guy was really pissing him off, already. No respect for the dead, saying whatever he wished as if it were no big deal. He may be a demon, but that's still crossing a line. With each blow Vince showed his distaste for the inappropriate speaking of this disciple by giving him Hell. He was born for this, he knew it. The monster almost seemed to enjoy himself a bit from the fight. Oh he'd really enjoy this part, then. "I'm gonna shut you up," he told Zaken before getting a good hit to his chest. Sparks flew and Vince fell back, grabbing at his chest over his heart and breathing outward. Blade clashes aside, this was a hard fight. He rose up once more and tightly gripped the greatsword handle, running full speed at the disciple and sliding past him, dodging his blade and slashing the heavy two-handed sword across Zaken's chest, a red streak of light in its wake. Vince stopped behind him, watching the sparks flow from him as he finished the disciple.

One by one, the disciples were beaten. First Torth, then Rogana, and now the might Zaken. These Knights...these Rangers were much stronger than they'd anticipated. But now they knew what to expect from here on out. Now they knew just what they were dealing with. Torth stood center of his allies, watching the five Rangers regroup and prepare for more.
"Have you had enough?" Vince called out, Chloe at his side, glaring at the demons under her visor.
Torth spat. "This day may have ended in your victory, Rangers. But know this...a war has only just begun. Soon the Shadoji will rise and this world will know no mercy. Celebrate while you can, fools. The real battle begins now," he warned the Rangers. And with the casting of a spell, the three disciples were gone. The Rangers had won.
Vince and Chloe couldn't believe it...they...they won! They didn't destroy them, but they won the fight! Vince rested his blade on the ground and put an arm in the air. "Hell yeahhhhhh!" He shouted in praise. Chloe smiled and cheered happily, both of them patting the others on the backs on a job well done. The team was victorious! But this war was far from over.
---
Following their victory in Westfield, the group returned to the secret portal/mirror and stepped through it. Vince led the team home through the network privately. Having these mirrors, this crossroad, was kind of neat. Made traveling a lot faster, that's for sure.

Still morphed and in suit, the Rangers waltzed through the home mirror and back into the Lair, their weapons seemingly holstered. Really they had just returned to whatever station they were at in the Lair through...magic? Hmm.
Vince and Chloe were still giddy and cheering on the others and patting one another on the back, Vince giving the guys mudges on the arms and Chloe patting Mellany's back. Vince had led them into the Lair, where they found Peter waiting for them by the computer--where he'd been watching them the entire time. He was smiling, arms crossed. "Well done, everyone. You did it...you actually did it. The power works, and you sent those demons running!" Peter praised the still-morphed Rangers. "How do you feel?" He asked them all.
Chloe and Vince both removed their helmets with the others, holding them on their sides. "I feel amazing. The power...Peter, it's incredible. I've never felt anything like it," Vince said, smiling. Chloe fixed her helmet hair. Well that was a downer...
"To be honest...I feel weird. No way I ever thought I'd be here a part of this but it just feels right, ya know? Like I'm on top of the world," she said, feeling fully pepped up. They should market whatever kind of adrenaline boost these powers give...think of how awesome the cheer squad at school would be!

Vince smiled at his sister, holding his helmet in front of him and looking at it. Amazing...he glanced at the others to here what they had to say. Peter was just smiling at them all, happy they won and that all of this works...he's more confident in it, now.

Tingles of thunder and lightning made the hairs all over Braxton's body stand up at attention like cadets in the military when the drill sergeant walks in for inspection. Summoning storms like this had always brought a bit of a tingle, partly due to the electricity forming and also in part to the concentration he had to display, otherwise he'd fry everything within a 30 ft radius. Winter and Storm worked well together, it would appear. How quaint. Mellany was still a novice and nowhere as strong as he was, in his eyes, but she proved herself more or less useful. Their powers were able to push Torth back and put out his flame, cooling him off and knocking him down a peg. As any true mages would, as well. He slammed the end of his staff into the ground and just stood there still while he had a moment to breathe. Properly evaluating what was going on around him, scoffing at every moronic thing anyone may say around him. He'd driven his foe back, it was shameful it was taking everyone else so long.

Rogana winced with every slash and arrow shot, her umbrella proving ineffective every third of the time. The remaining two thirds she'd been protected and counter incoming attacks from the ape man and the badly dressed child. This generation was so unpredictable. Her distraction would have worked, too! She huffed and spun the umbrella more, firing the tassels again to hold the Rangers back to no avail, eventually meeting the combined power of both rogues. She yelped as she was hit with the attacks, sent back away form them and heaving in anger and despair. How dare they...this cannot be happening! How impudent!

Rejoining the others one by one as the villains fell back, Braxton, notably swung his staff so the tip had been lowered to the ground, his hand out and ready cast another spell to obliterate these demons and amplify the efforts of the Knights. He eyed them with no anger...more like 'pathetic demons', kind of like how the Shadoji had addressed them as humans this entire time. Reversal!
Rogana stomped and closed the umbrella again, swiping it to the side in anger. "Fools," she hissed before Torth bid them all farewell. And like magic, the three disciples left the city and returned to their master.
The Divine Knights had won the day! Conquered their foes and spared their world more bloodshed. Braxton chuckled under his visor, not engaging in the silly cheering the others were bound to. Any nudges or pats on the back he got were met with faint chuckles and dismissive grunts. Not a fan of this interaction level. He was celebrating, though. In his mind. But this isn't a time to celebrate. They haven't defeated the demons yet, really. And they still lost Alexander.
---
Back home through the mirror network, remaining morphed wasn't the idea Braxton had of returning to the farm and the Lair. What, are they to parade in these uniforms forever?
He didn't return Vince's nudge, instead removing his helmet with the others and clutching it at his waist. Funny how his glasses were perfectly fitted inside of it. He took a brief moment to observe himself and the others' new outfits. More akin to mage robes than anything, but they'd do fine enough, he guessed. They did protect them, after all. Peter's approving and joyed words were comforting. He was glad this insane idea had been a success and that they'd have a better chance against Dumanax and his followers. "I'm impressed this worked. Alexander would be proud to see his idea come into fruition, Peter. I must say, this is quite the experience," he told him truthfully. Of course Peter and the Rangers aren't the only ones to thank here. Remember who made this happen. One wondered how Ascelin might respond to this on the day he finally wakens.

If she wasn't wearing a helmet, Mellany's hair would be blowing in her face right now, causing a mess and rendering her partially unable to see. She felt stronger with the wind surging around her, as if it charged her with energy rather than drain her due to the concentration that was required to keep the icy gust of wind blowing. Funny how well their magic seemed to work together, considering how poorly she and Braxton worked together... Even after this, Mellany didn't exactly like him anything more than she did already. He was still an arrogant prick who felt better than everyone around him. Blegh. She grinned as she saw their magic was able to push Torth back, even causing him to fall to the ground. Shame he didn't stay down there but got back up rather quickly. Mellany swiped her staff in front of her, twirling it around before slamming the end in the ground next to her. It caused the last remainder of snowflakes still swirling around the staff to be hurled up into the air and slowly drift back down. One down, for now, two more to go. She turned around to see how the others were faring, relieved to see they were doing fine as well.

Shots hitting and sparks emitting from Roganna pulled Raijah's attention back tot he battle. Hey, give the guy a break! He's not that exposed to this world, nor magic. It's not that much of a surprise the floaty lights distracted him for a moment there! Getting hit by Roganna only made it easier to pull his attention back to the fight. Not that it hurt too badly, but... it was annoying enough to break the distraction. He followed Chloe's example of using any opening he spotted to slash at Roganna... and get away from her a little bit. Flying up into the air, sparkly floaty lights, being a demon... all things that Raijah found a little bit intimidating. Not that he would back down. The demon hag, to copy Chloe's words, had to be send back to Hell! "Stupid hag!" he called to Roganna as he did the duo attack with Chloe, her yellow arrows being backed up by black slashes. Hey, he learned a new word! Hag. Hag. Hag. Hag.... it was a bad word, he'd noticed. So he'd reserve it for the demons. Because Raijah has no clue it's a word meant for women only.

Zaken indeed enjoyed the fight. The more the Red Ranger proved himself a worthy opponent, the more he enjoyed fighting him. Even after getting a good hit, sending the ranger backwards with sparks flying, he still got back to his feet. Not eager to give up, eh? Like a true warrior should be. Zaken looked down in surprise as the Red Ranger charged past him, getting a good hit against the Disciple. Sparks flew, smoke emitted from the gash in his chest. Zaken staggered forward, using his blade like a cane like the red ranger had done before. He gasped, taken aback by this unexpected display of skill and strength. Seems like the Red Ranger won this first round against him, hm?

Mellany and Raijah joined with the others. The three Disciples had fallen one by one. And the Divine Knights... they... they had won! They had actually won this battle! The two turned to glance at each other, grinning under their visors. Even if not everyone on this team might work together that well, it worked good enough to defeat three Disciples. For now, that is. But hey, they enjoyed this moment of victory.
Zaken took a deep breath, eying the Rangers, especially the red one, with a mixture of hatred and appreciation. This was bound to get interesting. The Disciples now knew what they were capable of. Their master might need more than he had expected to conquer the world this time. "Red Ranger, I look forward to our next battle. Things aren't over just yet." With those words said, the three fled, and their first true victory was official. Raijah and Mellany joined in the cheering, glad today was over. They were sad they lost Alexander, but they knew he would not die in vain. Together they might just be able to stop the Shadoji threat.
---
Why were they still morphed when they traveled back through the mirrors? Raijah and Mellany both were clueless. But at least they were back home now, and at least there wouldn't be any more Shadoji waiting at their doorstep, right? They could, hopefully, just relax after a job well done. Training and fighting would have to happen again soon enough. A moment to unwind and relax would be nice. Raijah happily nudged Vince back. Hard. Mellany smiled as she was patted on the back, but she didn't particularly like it. Not because she didn't like being patted, that had happened often enough with her friends, but... she just didn't really like Chloe. Yes, she fought well, but in her idea she was still a whiny little girl... who "stole" the destiny she had trained for. The bitterness would probably fade over time, but it might not be as quickly. The two removed their helmets as Peter asked his question.
"It's amazing," Mellany said. "Even after a long day like today I still feel like I've got plenty of energy left."
"Raijah feel good. Not like the shoes, but feel good," Raijah grinned. He was eager to demorph, just so he could wander around barefoot again.

Power Rangers? A silly concept, however it proved successful. Victory had been theirs for the day and they deserved to celebrate. Alexander seriously would be proud of this accomplishment, of his son, of the Knights. If only he'd lived to see the day and prosper with his fellowship. Peter noted Braxton's mention of his father and nodded. Silently he agreed that he would be proud...
Vince chuckled as Raijah still said he didn't like shoes. He also grunted as Rijah hardly nudged back...damn, what a nudge there. Sure he isn't a warrior? Chloe shuddered in her mind, how could someone not like shoes? They're so nice and comfy!
"Me too, Mellany. I feel like I could go on for hours!" Chloe agreed with the girl she didn't know didn't like her. Would she be against Chloe agreeing with her?

Peter stood before the five helmetless Rangers. After all had given their words he decided it was his turn. "Good. Readings tell me all looked normal. And my head doesn't hurt as much anymore, so maybe the danger's passed for now. All of you have lived up to the expectations of the Knights in every generation. My dad would... He would be so happy right now. I just know it," Peter said, looking down at his feet. His fists clenched. Losing his dad still stung like a million wasps.
Vince stepped up and rest his hand on the boys shoulder. Peter looked up at him. "I didn't know him really long. But I could tell he loved you Peter. And something in him is still here. I'm glad we did this today... No matter what, we'll do what we can to keep his memory alive as we fight." Vince said to Peter reassuringly. Chloe just looked at the others, then at Peter past Vince and smiled at him, nodding along. She committed to this. As did the others, she assumed.

"Thank you, guys," the boy responded to the five and glanced aside at the crest on the wall upon an ancient shield. "Now is your time. The Shadoji are back ahead of schedule, and we don't know what we're gonna do or how thigns are gonna go down. But if we pull it together...we'll restore order, with or without Ascelin's help. I am confident that the five of you will find a way to stop Dumanax and the demons that have taken your rightful castle. Whatever may come our way, the Divine Knights shall stand...ready," Peter spoke, giving his best makeshift speech. Everything is makeshift here, it seemed. "The world's fate is lying in your hands, Rangers. Do your best?"
Vince nodded and let go of his shoulder. He took a deep breath. "The world's counting in us. Best not let it down," he said and looked back at the others. Sworn to the cause...and sworn to making himself a good enough warrior in Ascelin's stead. Chloe looked at her helmet and then at Peter.
"I promise to do the best I can... " said the girl softly. She would try. That's all she can promise. There's a planet that needs protecting. And she can help! One day at a time. One downed demon at a time, too.

When the others had the chance to say something or nothing at all, Peter smiled and bowed at the Rangers. "Oh, that reminds me!" He said to them. A bit of good news to even out the bad of today. The Power Rangers were united and stood as the new force against evil. What a day.
Peter then motioned for everybody to follow him. Vince and Chloe set their helmets down on the table they stood at before and followed him in suit...literally, in suit. Still hadn't demorphed! Maybe nobody knows how to...
He led everybody upstairs and back outside. And standing in front of the house were five animals. Stallion, Wildcat, Wolf, Bear an Deer. The Mounts survived the barn attack, they're alive! "Heard commotion upstairs while you guys were gone. The Mounts got out of the barn just in time, it seems," Peter said. Vince and Chloe both smiled at the animals. And the way they were standing...directly across from each Ranger. Stallion stood across from Vince, Wildcat from Chloe, Wolf from Braxton, Bear from Raijah, and Deer from Mellany. Almost like there's a bond?
"Good thing they made it, that's for sure,' Vince commented. Five less casualties of the day, hooray! Chloe just smiled at the Mounts. So cute and fuzzy! And all so perfectly still....not moving a muscle, just staying still almost at attention like soldiers. Stallion neighed as any horse would, and Wildcat licked its paw and meowed. Oh but there's more before this day is over...

Divine. Not only was this the word that represented their order, but it also served as a fitting adjective for the days victory. Through the strangest means that had defeated their foes and crushed evil. Testing a new power and embracing their destiny, it seemed. Braxton had been training since he were a young boy and he knew he was beyond ready for this. And he had more to learn, which he was highly eager to do. Everybody else fared well enough. The warrior was suitable, the rogues were halfway competent and the other mage? Needs work. But for the current standing this isn't so bad. Perhaps they'll be able to pull this off after all.
Alexander's memory would live on. Vince made an excellent point. Braxton glanced at the other three behind Vince and Peter, nodding Peter's way as a way of committing to honoring the Guardian as well as fighting this ongoing war between good and evil.

Something of Alexander is definitely still here, as well. "Yes. When he passed, it seems like his essence, his spirit...something of his repaired the barrier around the farmhouse. He's protecting us even in death," Braxton stated. Not exactly comforting, but not at all a bad thing to say. Reassuring, if anything. It seemed the most logical thing he could settle on in his mind whilst processing today's events. Everybody swearing their personal oaths now? What is it with these people and all of the talking?
"Indeed, we shall stand against whatever the Supreme Disciple throws at us. Just as out ancestors have before," he added on. And whenever their king awakens, they will stand an even higher chance of defeating and pushing these Shadoji bastards back to another century of slumber. After all, the planet needs them. Braxton knows that and the stakes. He only hoped everybody else did.

What's this? A curious notion, Peter suddenly remembering something. Braxton let out a breath and put his helmet down by the others' and followed them upstairs. "Mind if I ask how we de-transform? I'd prefer to not walk around in this costume all day," Braxton made his wonders known. Seriously, how is he supposed to take off this blue suit?
Upstairs it was revealed that the Mounts were alive. Wonderful. "Oh, this is fantastic. But surely you must have known these mythical beings can't die so easily?" Braxton said to Peter. He believed to have read something about Mount before. If he was correct, then there. If not, he would own up to that. Wolf was across from him, sitting upright like any loyal hound, panting with its tongue out, howling up at the sky. Part of the animals made Braxton think of it as majestic and the other part...a stupid dog. He wasn't a dog person, really. He liked dogs, but not that much. "Good news to end on, at least."
