Fantasy Medieval fantasy itches (New plot added, seeking female partner)

Eldreth

Morningstar
Greetings! Eldreth here. I'm new to the site, though not new to roleplaying. I enjoy writing, reading, a little bit of sports and gaming in my free time, which now happens to be quite plentiful. I like to flex my creative muscle, and craft stories and interesting characters. I like non-linear plots with surprises and twists sprinkled deliciously along the road, and I would lie if I said I didn't like romance. I fancy it, but I don't think it would make for a good plot centre. So I'd like that to be a sort of side-dish, if you get my meaning. Sure, our characters may fall in love, or at least take fancy in each other enough for something to happen between them, but not from the get-go. Not from the third paragraph of the first post, or the first paragraph of the third post. I'd like for them to go through things together, which will, in time, cement a relationship between them. Trust, respect, loyalty and possibly sacrifice for the sake of each other.

That said, I would like to think I'm a detailed writer who can hold up to an expectation of 3-4 paragraphs of coherent, literate and solid writing, although at times, it may go well beyond that. Especially in starters, I tend to lose my mind there and keep writing like there's no tomorrow. I would also like to think I'm an open person, full of ideas and very willing to listen to new ones. You have something to add? Go for it. I may, or may not like it depending on how well it blends with what I have created.

What else would be there to add? Ah, yes, it would be lovely if you would be able to give me back what I give. Literacy, coherence, paragraph writing and passion for our story! Sure, I mostly crafted the premise and the location myself, but well, if it gets you invested, it gets you invested.

Okay, enough of the pleasantries, let me present to you our setting! Behold!

Yes, I still need names for the islands and locations, and probably some of the few places left filled in, but as a mostly set idea, this is it. The Inisith Archipelago. A group of islands that hold a lot of mystery and lots of lore. Now, let's get onto the plot:

Plot taken!

YC (your character) is an adventurer. Or maybe an explorer? A history enthusiast? A magic student? She loves traveling, and big as the world is, she never gets any rest. She boards a ship from a mainland, whichever that may be, with a different destination in mind, however, a storm changes her plans by taking the ship way off its course, and eventually wrecking it against a rocky formation somewhere between the easternmost island and the center one. Few of the people on the ship survive, including her, and as they reach the shore of the eastern island, they set camp on the beach, trying to find out where exactly they ended up. Your character, however, wanderlustful as she is, wants to see more, and starts searching the island, coming, at one point, across something which looks like a shrine and gives off a strange glow. Upon touching it, she finds herself teleported among ruins on the large western island. Her endless curiosity has her starting to search through the ruins excitedly, making her not notice that eyes were on her.

My character is a mysterious, rogue-ish figure who watches yours as she looks through the ancient ruins. He has been on the archipelago for a while, seeking something out. He has watched the survivors of the shipwreck from afar since they had made camp on that beach, and this moment would be perfect for him to make contact with at least one of them. What adventures will our characters be thrust into once they make contact? And what is the archipelago's biggest and darkest secret, hidden at its very core?

Well, there it is! If you like this idea, please, send me a PM and let me know more about you! I am eagerly awaiting!

New plot!

Well, I thought I was going to be gone for a while, but now something's changed, so I have time. Which means, it is time to post another plot idea. Yes, true, it's a bit less than my previous one, but if you'd be willing to help me shape it and make it into something greater, well... I would just about love you forever.

MC is a drunkard who spends about every day traveling from tavern to tavern. He was, once, a known warrior, a veteran on the battlefields, but the mighty can fall quite far. He drinks, and tells stories to travelers in exchange for more drink, all until he passes out, either under a table, or in a ditch. He has once sworn that he will never use a sword again and never cause harm. But when he happens in a tavern/village where YC resides, will he break his oath?

That is about as far as I was able to come with this. It's itching me greatly and I need someone to help me with it. Come, let us play!

Ooh! I have a character that may work with your new plot idea... still looking?

Hello!

I am very much interested in your new plot idea! I have a fairly new character, who is female, who just might fit in nicely with the plot. At least let's hope so.
I'm new to this particular role playing website, so I am unable to message you directly.
