Video Games Life is Strange 2: Before the Storm

I recently learned that Life is Strange 2 Before the Storm (Before the Storm is not LiS 2, which will be released later) is coming out August 31st, and after the gaping hole the last one left in my soul, I'm quite excited to play it. For those of you that have played/watched it, the main character is now Chloe Price, it doesn't look like there's a time travel element like the previous game, and the scene is set three years before its events.


Despite these different design choices, the game is still being produced by the same studio (nope), and it's been expressed that the creators wanted a more linear story to tell compared to the previous installment. While it kind of irks me that they've thrown out the last protagonist and the game's defining mechanic, I still have faith that it's going to satisfy at least part of this hole in my being.

Anybody else hyped? Any thoughts? Anybody even know what this game is?

I'm Hyped. Still need to finish the first game, but I really want to play as Chloe, even if she's really annoying sometimes. I want to know more about her and Rachel.

I loved the game so much I can't not get hyped for it, but a part of my brain is trying to tell me to calm my tittays because there are some red flags here and there (such as Chloe's VA not being the same; also different devs for this installment). But hey, I'll stick around for the great music!

Oh God, I haven't even finished the last episode from the first one. I'm super excited though! Those developers never disappoint, so I'm not worried.

It's from a different studio, so the developers are going to be different, even if the publishers are the same.

I'm super hyped! I've already watched multiple theory videos on it.

I'm a known pricefield shipper so naturally I loved Chloe and have no issue with the prequel being all about my problematic fave

Are you fine with the voice actor and studio being different, though?

I'll admit I was unhappy about the voice actor change at first, but it is a younger Chloe, so it kind of makes sense.
I don't know about the new studio, but they have been working for a long time on this so I have high hopes.

One can only pray that it is so.

I am so hyped that I can't contain it. That first game made me cry for real, it was such a beautiful thing. I'm really glad they're making this spin-off, also because I really look forward to seeing things from Chloes perspective, I didn't get much sympathy for her in the first game.

I want it now!

I can suggest that there can be more lore to Mr. Jefferson about her death. Not hyped about that but it can also provide about Nathan too.
