My Interest Check
Just wondering. I´m a newbie to the game, though I do have some experience with the type of game, such as playing MTG, yugioh and hearthstone. I´m a pretty casual player in the Johny player archetype mostly.

I prefer shadow craft decks, but I am also really excited about constructing a good ramp dragoncraft deck someday.

Anyway, let´s see if anyone´s out there.

I used to play buy right now taking a break from the game. Got tired of it a bit ^^ the current meta is a bit annoying balance-wise.

But the game is really cool and I love card art!

I like Havencraft but I also used to play Sword and Forest a lot.

Well, I personally hate meta in all games, regardless of what that meta may be. In any case, I understand you´re off it at the moment, but if you ever get back to it, do hit me up! :)

I think the first two expansions were alright overall ^^ still some balance issues but nothing too glaring.

But Bahamut and Tempest made it such a power creep.

And sure. :)
It's a fun game and I like it. I'll definitely get back to it . I'm playing it since release almost so it's already been a while

New expansion is out! I hope the meta becomes less toxic lol it completely threw me off the game.
But I like to experiment with new decks ^^

I play Shadowverse to kill time, Swordcraft is by far my favorite because i've gotten really good with the deck dynamic they have.

I love shadowverse. I've been playing it casually, and I've managed to get up to rank A1 using Storm Havencraft. Although, I hate the current meta were everyone plays abyss bloodcraft. That 16 evolved damage.

Remove ambush would be nice. Or maybe lower stats a bit.

I don't mind the stats. I really dislike the effect. Like 6 damage with no evolve, if they hit an enemy? It should be at least 3 damage max for uninvolved and 5~6 damage for evolved.

I saw the game while I was in Japan, haven't played it though.

I have played Yugioh but eeeh. Haven't played ever since the meta became 'spam whole deck on turn one.'

Might download shadowverse, now that Hearthstone metas gotten cancerous.

Shadowverse is a great game, but I'm kinda starting to loose interest. There simply enough effect variety to make solo play interesting for long, and if you wanna stay competitive you're kinda forced into the meta, which often involves combos or just simple cards that you can't respond to. If this is not breaking the whole point, at least it's breaking my interest.

I also play hearthstone and I gotta say, as much hate as that game gets, it does have some things over shadowverse, namely a larger variety in actually available play styles and card effects, the possibility of completing almost every quest with your friends now (so if you don't want to go through hours of frustrating games against pay-to-win netdeckers, you actually have other options for the gold), and fact the campaign has actually different bosses , instead of just being a bunch of randomly powerful decks.

Still, to me the best one will always be MTG. A shame that magic duels is being forced dropped though.... :(

I remember when I tried to build a Gate to Nothingness deck xD

Hearthstone is retiring old expansions to Wild format so that newer people get some chance to have fun. Just like MtG. I suppose Shadowverse will do the same once they release more expansions.

I'm still messing around with new expansion in SV, running midrange shadowcraft, sigil runecraft, and some weird dragoncraft that I made up myself and somehow it works.... rarely though.

Yeah, that's also something hearthstone did right. Though, I don't think the problem is with specific expansions in Shadowverse's case, but with their design philosophy. The game is great, the evolution thing in particular is fascinating, but the cards are designed in a way that goes against the point of that. If the evolutions are a stepping stone to having a back and forth game that puts the effort and skill of the players on the line, the fact that shadowverse cards repeatedly feature a bunch of cards that leave your opponent with no options to protect themselves other than being forced into aggro decks is a major roadblock. They essentially seem to reason that if everyone has invencible tools, then the game is exciting to see who plays them first. But in reality, or at least to players like me, that race is nothing but frustrating, even more so when you pull this amazing moves and are about to beat your opponent with your own hard work, and then they pull some invencible card and you loose because you don't have that one specific card that beats them or you don't draw into ranged damage to an opponent or whatever.
