ToG In Character Chat

Selicity Fars

“Oh. Looks like there’s someone crazy enough after all,”
Selicity purred to her pocket when the announcement was made. Standing up, the Cat Sidhe stretched and checked her pocket for the updated information regarding Silentia Zahard’s first challenger. Areum Eurasia. The girl was a strange one. Challenging Illiam. Challenging Silentia. Did she like looking for strong opponents? “I’ll check the fight out and report what I see. That’s a scout’s job, right? You can rest easy Illiam. You’ve had a….rough…day.”

Rough was an understatement. Illiam had come out of the cave with Yaga looking like a beat up rag doll. Selicity had been at a loss for words when she saw the state of her teammate. Though there was one thing she concluded—being special didn’t look like it was a lot of fun. She wondered why Illiam would consent to go through such drastic training, different from the rest. Was there something he really wanted at the top of the tower?

“Be especially nice to Illiam today, Seefie. I seriously thought he was going to die when he came out of that cave.”

It probably wasn’t necessary to tell Seefie that. Seefie was always nice. Selicity was also fairly certain Seefie was better at caring for people than she was. The girl had a more mature vibe about her. Most people in her village had avoided Selcity, so Selicity wasn’t exactly good at helping others. She was better at fighting. At arguing. Losing to Ningor drove her competitive spirit up a notch or two. If she was bad with directions, she needed to get better at it. If she needed to hone her sense for traps and danger that was what she’d do. It wasn’t for anyone else’s sake. It was for herself. Since she didn’t like losing.

Selicity’s body shrunk as she morphed into her more diminutive form. Licking her paws, Sel took a moment to groom herself before scurrying towards the location of Silentia and Areum’s fight, her pocket floating beside her. For now she’d check out what both girls were capable of. Silentia Zahard was strong enough to pass all the tests to the next floor. Therefore, she’d need to be as strong as Silentia in order to climb to the next floor. Simple logic really.

Evelyn Wicker

“Ahhh. Hmmmmm. Maybe.”
Humming to himself, hand to his chin in thought, Evelyn pondered the best location to leave the E-rank tree at. Argeus wanted to check out the other irregular so bringing him directly to Illiam might be most efficient. But where was the fun in that? Snake eyes surveyed the on-goings of the 2nd floor passively, occasionally drumming fingers against one of the green cubes idly, when his eyes lit up.

“Ohohoho, I didn’t expect her to be here. Perfect~Teleportation in Three. Two. One.”

Evelyn snapped his fingers and Aregus was gone.

Where did Argeus go?
The Satyr would suddenly find himself standing in the audience section of what appeared to be a lighted arena. Third row. Above him was a display board showing in bright colors, Silentia Zahard vs Areum Eurasia. And, a couple of seats down where he was, sat a gray cat, its tail flicking back and forth excitedly. There weren’t many people present…at least not yet. However, moments later, streams of 2nd floor regulars seemed to flood in eager to watch Silentia Zahard’s fight. With them, a figure cloaked in black arrived. However, instead of joining in the audience seats, the figure seemed to want to keep itself to the back wall.

The winged observer on Argeus’s shoulder buzzed to life. “You’ll want to watch this fight. Pay special attention to Silentia Zahard. One of the princesses of this tower, and a ward of the Mule family, she has every reason to despise FUG. Depending on how negotiations go, she could become a very useful ally in your quest to destroy them. Or not. Up to you really~”

Kell was in a rut. He'd come to Floor of Tests days ago and already finished the preliminary class. A Spear Bearer, not the grandest position but one he would make his own in time. He had always used a spear, so it felt natural. Breezing through the first class, he was enjoying himself. However, he was soon met with disappointment. The two turtles he had taken under him had resigned. They barely passed the first test for shinsoo resistance, and they had now failed their class. No talent, not even a slight affinity, they were useless. "Coffee Turtle said I could have new teammates, but I need those that can stand alongside me."

Lost in thought, talking to himself, an announcement could be heard from the intercom. The pocket suddenly went off with a message. Kell skimmed through the message and listened to the announcement. His interest piqued, he made his way to the area. A princess of Zahard, most definitely a powerful individual and even the challenger would have some strength. Kell remembered what Coffee Turtle had said before about the princess. He had planned to challenge her, but now was a perfect opportunity to learn about his prey. He didn't care for what a screen might show, he wanted to see them fight in person. Staying near the back wall of the seating area, he had a clear view of all the turtles and the arena.

Exnor- Staying with Jun

Exnor watched the video regarding Silentia, and also read about her soon-to-start fight against Aerum Eurasia from the message in the Pocket. Tempting, but not worth it. He highly doubted anyone coud pull of a decent fight. The Zahard Princess wasn't one to hold back. Exnor knew she was stronger, faster, and more skiled than him. He had his dagger, but that wasn't enough.

How did he know? It was pretty obvious he'd know. Evey Fisherman on that Floor would know. They fought Keylow together and didn't even manage to injure him once. In fact they were all in pretty bad shape from the first lesson. But Silentia managed to defend herself against him on her own, even while he used a Baang. Even if Keylow was holding back, it was a highly impressive feat.

For the moment, he'd stay with his injured team mate. Not that he wasn't interested in seeing the fight, as he never got a chance to see the full spectrum of Aerum's abilities, but he considered Jun a comrade. And he wouldn't abandon a comerade for a match, no matter how interesting it may be.

"How are you feeling, Jun?"

Some time latter, a bot would announce them that they got a new team mate: Kell Wrathraiser.

Silentia- They see me rollin'

It didn't take much for Silentia to reach the arena. She wanted this to be over quick. Why? Because she didn't have high expectations. In other words, she expected the match to be boring. "An Eurasia family member, huh? At leas it will be premium boring, if nothing else." was what she thought.

Sasha was sparkling with joy as she saw Silentia enter the arena. Out of the three people there, she (Silentia) was the tallest. She had a blank expression on her face and looked at Aerum with eyes that seemed to express lack of interest. But she was, in fact, interested in something. "Awwww, she's such a cutie! I'd like to take her home and make her try various dresses." was what she thought.

"Ok, if both of you are ready...we can begin!"

Aerum Eurasia vs Silentia Zahard

Silentia merely waited for Aerum to attack first.

As soon as Argeus said he was ready for transport he regretted it. " Hey no, wait a min-" The Satyr said just before being transported into an audience area. Argeus sighed, " Never mind.... too late now." He had wanted to be more specific and have an opportunity to change into his human appearance, but it was too late for that now. The giant Satyr looked around him reminiscing about the first time he had been here. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself at how surprised his fellow regulars were with his combat prowess. His thoughts were brought back to the present when other audience members began streaming in. While he got a few stares, probably because they hadn't seen him before, the stealth aspect of this was already out the window. All Argeus could do was keep his head down and try to have a talk with this Silentia after her bout. If he's as good as he figured she would indeed be a big asset in his vengeance against FUG. Argeus noticed someone sticking to the shadows, but didn't pay too much attention to. If he wasn't the only one watching so he it. He wasn't about to interfere with them without reason.

Jun Lun
Seen better days
Jun awoke with a fright. The bright lights above proved too much for her adjusting eyes, she was in a daze. The girl looked around, taking in what little of the surrounding area she could see. It was all a blur, but as the haze began to fade from her vision the first thing she could make out was her shirtless partner in crime, Exnor. A smile shown through Jun's somewhat confused expression upon seeing her friend.

"Exnor you won't believe the dream I had. I was in class, and the teacher said we could pass if we attacked him! I thought to myself what a chance, and I tried to attack him but he was crazy fast, and before I knew it there were explosions and I think I passed out... can you believe it?"

Jun rubbed her eyes as she spoke, trying to clear away the haze that obscured most of her vision. After she was finished explaining her quote unquote dream Jun finally regained her vision just in time to realize her faux pas. The fact that she was in a hospital bed and had a pain in her neck were two big hints as to the fact that was no dream.

"Ohhhhh... I see now, that actually happened." A minor mistake, and Jun shrugged it off as nothing more. She was still just as happy as she was before, bright smile and twinkling eyes, she thanked Exnor for checking up on her and told him that she was doing well, beside the pain in her neck that wasn't leaving anytime soon. She felt grateful for the fact that Exnor would go out of his way to check up on a girl he met only yesterday. Jun had a good feeling about the character of her partner, she was a very good judge of character, she knew that he would be a keeper. The girl began humming in her bed to fill the silence that had quickly taken over the room, she rocked her head side to side despite how bad her neck felt. Jun didn't get far into her strange song however, as she remembered mid beat that she needed to tell Exnor something. The day before he had asked Jun what her goal was. Jun had asked for some time to think about how to word it, but she had never gotten to answering his question.

"Exnor, I want to see the stars, I want to see a real endless sky. I have always been enraptured by celestial bodies, and honestly sometimes I even dream to being one. I want to watch them light up the night, I want to see the bright array of the stars. It's a simple goal I know, but I heard you could see stars unlike those in the tower if you can get to the top. How amazing would that be! The concept of a sky that goes on forever, it's mind boggling!" Jun couldn't keep her composure while talking, she talked and talked and talked about her dream to see what was waiting for her at the top, she talked until she ran out of breath, then talked a bit more. She could hardly keep still, even her hands joined in on the conversation flying to and fro to help illustrate Jun's points. She almost seemed to regress in age as she talked so passionately, like a child discovering some small yet world shattering fact.

Illiam Herlaa
Seen much better days
When Illiam came out of that cave, he seriously thought he was going to die.

The boy could hardly stand on his own, he was forced to rely on Yaga to help him get back to his room. He couldn't feel anything, his body was numb. Together the two slowly made their way back to the bedroom. Illiam could feel the many eyes trailing him, he heard the whispers of those who could witness his sorry state. Did they take pity? Were they laughing at him? Or maybe it was a bit of both. Illiam didn't have the strength to fight back, to make a case for himself. He could only endure the shameful looks, the snide remarks and the judgmental smiles. He only wished he could move a bit faster, as to end this walk of shame sooner.

It took far too long but the two made it back to the bedroom, Yaga helped Illiam get into his bed then left without another word. For as amazing of a woman Yaga was, she wasn't the friendliest. So now what, what was Illiam to do? His body was all but functional and it was impossible to escape the heavy thoughts of what was to come tomorrow. Would he even last tomorrow? He had to, but he had almost died today. It was hard to wave the voice in the back of his mind, the one that said to give up, to quit. The same voice that had spoke to Illiam before, only louder. Why continue, what did it matter? He didn't need to be strong enough to protect anyone but himself anyways. Everyone else could bite the dust but as long as he was fine, then why worry. It was hard to evade these thoughts as they assaulted Illiam to no end.

These thoughts however were soon overshadowed by the sudden urge to eat.

Illiam needed food, but there was one major problem: he couldn't move. He would have to contact Seefi and Selicity, but that idea had its own set of problems too. He knew how to use his pocket well enough to send a message, but he could hardly speak, meaning he would have to type. A keypad showed up on the floating orb and he began to type. His finger pressed down on the F key and it felt as though his finger had been broken again. Illiam could only wimpier where he wanted to scream. Gathering what little power he had left he gritted his teeth and worked though the pain. Soon both Seefi and Celicity would find a message from Illiam on their pockets.

"Fod watr ned ples."

Hopefully they would be able to tell what Illiam meant by his abbreviated spelling, he couldn't suffer though typing the whole words.

Without warning a screen in the room buzzed to life, Illiam turned his head to the screen, curious to see why it would turn on by itself. Apparently there was to be another fight, a big one at that. A girl named Silentia, and Aerum. The green girl had persistence, Illiam had to give her that much no matter how annoying it was. Yet there was something about the pugnaciousness of this girl that brought a smile to Illiam's face. He too was the type of person who loved to be challenged. Yet Aerum seemed different from him, whereas Illiam was simply seeking thrills, Aerum seemed to be looking for something grander. Oddly enough, Illiam could respect that. He found himself becoming curious about where that drive of her's came from. What could possibly fuel her to be so confrontational, where does her need to be on top come from? It was strangely alluring: the curiosity of what her desires may be. Maybe Illiam was just still delirious from his beating, but he felt an attachment to Aerum. One that made him rise a trembling fist into the air in salute to her.

Areum Eurasia
Compared to her battle against Illiam pitched against the Princess Silentia Areum stood in a stark contrast. Where before she'd stood firm and resolute, she now moved as a blur of fury. Illiam himself, that oddly intimidating girl who'd guided her here, her secret admirer, none of them mattered. Only that thief woman that stood in front of her. Looking down on her. Sneering at her with that insufferable smugness that those bored looking eyes spoke to her.

Disgusting. Unacceptable. She'd crush her, kill her, smear her into a bloody stain. No mercy. None.

NONE.

With all the speed and power that she could muster, funneling all her fury as an outcast and pride as a family member into her movements, Areum dashed forward. All the Shinsoo she could muster snaking out through her limbs, hardening them to their absolute limit, only sparing the scantest scraps of the precious energy to activate two of the Palisades that remained unbroken, exploding out behind her like a pair of great circular wings. As a Princess, she knew well enough not to take a hit. Even her rage-addled mind could tease out scraps of logic as simple as that. The shields swung forward, nestling firmly at her front to play the vanguard to her charge, only budging when she'd reached the Princess and her assault could begin.

Snapping open and resting at her arms for fast deployment, the moment Areum stood face to face with her foe, she laid into her. With all the speed and power her body could muster, Areum struck the woman, again and again and again and again her fists rocketed into her chest, skull, arms, anything she could strike. It was without finesse or restraint, a one sided assault, of base, illegible screams, fists as hard as steel and rage as hot as the forges that made it. It was a perfect torrent of all the strength Areum had to offer. Enough to send any of the Regulars who shared this floor with her home, beaten witless, senseless, and clinging to the last thread of their life.

Only...

Silentia Zahard- Frankly, My Dear...

Now that she did not expect. Her opponent, Aerum Eurasia, viciously charged forward, putting all of her energy into a series of ferocious attacks. She even put the Shinsoo shields in front of herself before attacking, so that Silentia wouldn't stop her charge. Clever. The fact that the girl went for a frontal assault while using Shinsoo for pure physical enforcement and nothing else...not so clever.

Silentia prefered not to use Body Reinforcement, thus she chose a Bone Mania technique instead, Partial Armor, and created a Shinsoo-based bone gauntlet for her right hand. She then proceeded with blocking Aerum's fury of attacks with her right, while occasionally striking pressure points in Aerum's arms and shoulders with her left hand.

"Frankly, my dear...not enough gun." with that said, Silentia struck Aerum's forehead with the heel of her left palm, at very high speed. After that, she deactivated her Bone Mania technique, making the gauntlet disappear, and used her right hand to...pinch Aerum's cheek. "For someone with such a cute face, you are quite wild." she said on a calm tone, keeping the same composed facial expression as usual. On the other hand...

"Woah, her cheek is so soft!" was what she thought.

Seefi Grasshider
Class hadn't been much of note. She'd landed a hit on a target or two, been impressed by a handful of her teammates, but her mind had been elsewhere. That second match the previous day, where Tok had been defeated.

So despite Selicity's words, she had something else to tend to first. Illiam could surely wait a moment.

Once her class had let out, she made a beeline for his room. His teammates she had no clue about, nor did she care about them. She just hoped they wouldn't be a bother, there was a conversation she wanted to have with Tok and Tok alone. She came to his door, one that smelled slightly of fish, gave a curt knock, and waited.

"Ooohh, hello! How can I help~?"

The door opened swiftly, and she was greeted by the sight of a boy that stood a head or two shorter than her. Certainly struck a contrast to his goliath of a teammate. He was a good bit more polite, too.

"Right. I'm looking for Tok, is he her-"

"Tok! Right right! Are you an admirer who came to nurse him back to health? Ah! I won't pry. Come in, come in! I'll let you two be~" Speaking carefree as he ever did, despite his souring relationship with his team, Oisin brushed past the fox eared woman and into the hallway. "I'm... Going to take out the trash! Tok! Don't get to frisky with her while I'm gone!" Winking to Seefi, he set off down the hallway. Maybe he'd be able to catch the last of that match live if he was last enough.

"Almost reminds me of Illiam..." Muttering to herself as she exchanged places with Oisin, Seefi eyed the turtle who'd earned her contempt in their first test. "Okay. I know we're not on the best terms, but I'd like to talk."

Tok Stonebreaker

Osin continued with his antics, but at this point Tok really couldn't care less. After he said what he wanted to say, the accel-turtle was having an introspection. He sat quietly in his bed, without moving a muscle. He analyzed himself from the time he was just an innocent overachiever to the current moment. All his training, the mistakes he made, and the things he could improve. But a new sound was heard in the room, which distracted him.

"Ooohh, hello! How can I help~?"

"Right. I'm looking for Tok, is he her-"

"Tok! Right right! Are you an admirer who came to nurse him back to health? Ah! I won't pry. Come in, come in! I'll let you two be~. I'm... Going to take out the trash! Tok! Don't get to frisky with her while I'm gone!"

Osin was talking to someone else...the naive snail! He was also behaving the same as usual, not that Tok didn't expect that. "The less trash in the room, the better. Glad to see we think the same, garbage snail." was what Tok thought.

"Okay. I know we're not on the best terms, but I'd like to talk."

Oh now that was rich. The naive snail wanted to talk. Tok was initially thinkng of being dismissive, but he was curious about what Seefi wanted from him, so he changed his mind. He got off from his bed, and took two chairs, placing them one in front of the other. He sat on one of them and invited Seefi to do the same. "Ok. I am all ears." he said, in a simingly calm tone.

Lo Po Bia Exnor

Exnor was glad Jun was ok and smiled when she talked about her dream. Despite her rather eccentric thoughts and shipping tendencies, this girl had a very...pure goal in mind. No riches, no power...just the beauty of a legend. "That is a very beautiful dream Jun. I will try my best to help you achieve it." he said, as he gave her a pat on the head.

Meanwhile, a bot arrived, brining them a message about a new team mate. His name was Kell Wrathraiser. The bot also gave them the crocodile's Pocket ID. At that time, Exnor also remembered that the fight between Silentia and Aerum began, and that they could watch it on the screen. Before he turned on the screen, he sent a message to Kell through his Pocket: "If it is fine with you, could we meet in the medical area after the fight is over?"

Exnor turned on the screen just as Silentia struck Aerum's forehead and pinched her cheek. He was confused.

Areum Zahard
Again. AGAIN. Why was this happening to her again? Areum's attacks fell flat.

It wasn't fair.

What'd she done to deserve this? Why did everything have to conspire against her? Even when she should have won she couldn't catch a break, and now she couldn't even get that far. She'd run up against a wall that even her all out fury couldn't penetrate. She was the only one feeling pain here. On her head and in her heart. The same sort of robbed-of-what-was-hers pain that she'd felt so long ago.

If only things had gone differently back then. This situation would be headed in the exact opposite direction. She knew it.

Instead she was just standing here being made fun of by some smug bitch who'd robbed her of what she'd earned. The audience wouldn't be able to see it, but she fought hard to keep the tears welling in her eyes from spilling. Her anger was starting to boil low, and she was feeling sorry for herself, but she wasn't about to cry. She wouldn't give her, them, or anyone else the satisfaction. For a moment, she released Bulwark, her body returning to its normal durability as she tore away from Silentia's embarrassing clutches, soft fleshy tissue tearing away in the many times stronger woman's grip.

"Okay..." At this point, even Areum could admit she didn't stand a chance. That assault was probably enough to knock herself flat on her ass, and it hadn't even scratched her foe. But she wasn't going to be like that damn masochist and just give up. She'd not allow herself the embarrassment of going down any other way than fighting. "More gun, then?" She muttered under her breath. Shinsoo begun to course into her body again, this time, focused. It was a technique she was still learning, but it was the last card that she had to work with. Not that she expected it to work. As much as she could, Areum funneled Shinsoo through her body and into her arm. Even if this hit, she didn't expect it to make that woman even flinch, let alone compare to the pain searing through her forehead.

"I'LL SHOW YOU CUTE, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" She screamed, throwing her fist at Silentia's jaw with all the speed and strength she could muster.

And then waited for the darkness of her defeat.

Silentia Zahard- Not Even Premium...

"This girl is seriously...trying not to cry? She got in such a state from so little?" Silentia was disappointed. With the ferocity that Aerum showed, and her family's fame, she expected at least premium boring, where her opponents still wouldn't pose a challenge, but they'd at least display cleverness in the use of their skills. This girl however...

"I'LL SHOW YOU CUTE, YOU FUCKING BITCH!"

"Minus points to cuteness" she thought. Seriously, losing her composure and acting ill-mannered from such an insignifcant amount of pain? Afterwards Aerum threw a pucn towards Silentia, apparently enhanced with Shinsoo. So that was it, huh? Using all her might for a single attack.

"How pathetic," this time Silentia voiced out her thoughts. "I guess this is your way of giving up." as she said that, the Zahard Princess bumped fists with the Eurasia girl. The moment she did so, Silentia made bone claws pop up from between her knuckles, thus penetrating through Aerum's hand, and ripping apart her intrinsic muscles in the process. She then quickly retracted her claws, shifted her weight toward the rear leg as she rotated forcefully to that side, and pivoted inward on the ball of her front foot, all while whipping her other arm towards Aerum in an L shape. She performed a precise and powerful hit towards Aerum's jaw. That should have been enough for a knock out.

Jun Lun
Back to her ol' ways
A warm feeling spread across Jun's face, her cheeks were flushed red, and her eyes strayed away from Exnor. It always managed to fluster Jun whenever someone complemented her on her dreams. Most just call it elementary, a child's reason for climbing the Tower, and in some ways Jun would agree. So it always took her by surprise when someone actually complemented her for her dreams. What more Exnor even went as far as to say he would support her, which blindsided her even further.

"O-oh no! It's really not worth such praise! It's so simple and really most don't find it worth risking life and limb." But Jun did. Even if it could be for a moment and not a moment more, Jun would give everything to see the true stars. She was acting as though Exnor was giving her dreams more praise then he really was, but it was just so rare to hear someone interested in what she had to say.

But now wasn't the time for dreams, Jun had a burning question for Exnor that needed to be answered.

"So, Exnor, the main character of my soon to be novel is going to be modeled after you. To what extent can I steal your likeness for the sake of my art?" From under the covers of her bed Jun pulled out a note pad and pen, getting ready to write down Exnor's exact answer so that she would have his consent on paper.

Illiam Herlaa
Pity, or a spark of empathy?
It was a good fight, most certainly better then the fight between between Areum and himself, yet it still fell flat. Illiam was sure that anyone watching could understand the gap of power between the two. It was shocking. Areum was already a tough customer, but to think there existed someone who could give even her a run for her money yet was still in the same rank. People really were incredible in this Tower, the skill and power he had seen on display in only the last day was impeccable and admittedly far beyond his own capacity. It was, scary to think what awaited him on the higher floors. Only now was Illiam really starting to grasp the caliber of this game of death.

Illiam summoned his pocket, still too weak to type, his voice had returned to him somewhat. He began speaking to the pocket with a voice coarse and worn, sending a message to Areum.

"I almost forgot that I still owed you form tomorrow match. I wouldn't say it to your face, pride and all that, but you had me beat. If we can let bygones be bygones maybe you could teach me something one day. If it's from you, I know I'd have a lot to learn. PS: sorry not all 500 is there. I ate a bit." - Illiam Herlaa.

Attached to the message was a transfer of 450 points.

Illiam wasn't sure what drove him to word the message as he did, by the time rational though caught up with the boy the message was already sent. His voice was shot and everything started to ache once more. He couldn't wait any longer for food, weariness began to take Illiam, his eyes closed and the boy feel deep into rest.

Areum Eurasia
Black. Areum's vision was black. Her eyes closed and her body heavy, the young Eurasia girl stirred under the thin infirmary sheets as light began to beam into her vision, and she regained consciousness.

It didn't take long for her journey to come to mind.

Pain rocketing up her arm, fury welling out of the tears she'd fought so hard to hold back, and the mixed cheers and jeers of the crowd as she fell, defeated. How embarrassing. Usually, that would have been the first thought that would be come to mind. One fueled by rage and indignation. But she only felt upset. Sad. What a sorry state for her to be in. Sitting in a medical bed feeling sorry for herself like this. If mother could see her right now, she'd laugh. She gritted her teeth. Why did these things have to happen to her? Why not someone else? Why not the bitch who'd damn near split her arm open? She didn't deserve this.

Areum groaned. She still couldn't even get angry. Slowly, she hauled herself out of bed, letting her wounded arm sit at her side as she found her footing. At least that was the only real wound. Asides from the annoying as fuck pain in her jaw, that was. Looking around the room, and finding nothing of interest, she sat atop her blanket, bringing her pocket to her front and scrolling through her messages. A few cursing her out for losing again... And couple from that pale masochist. They were even polite. That was a shocker.

They didn't help, though.

Frowning as she one-handedly replied her message sat simply, with the boy's 450 points transferred back to him. "Don't need it.". She didn't just mean the money. His pity, too, she could go without. Swinging her legs back up onto the bed to lay down again, she decided she'd enough of that for herself. She just wanted to leave, and sleep. But she figured she'd better wait for the nurse or something, at least.

As Argeus watched the fight he couldn't help but be impressed at the young Zahard. He power was truly leagues above her peers and even his own more than likely. It seems that his guide wasn't kidding when he said that she would be a powerful ally in his crusade against FUG. If she had a personal reason for her hatred as he did then it was all the more better if he could get her to join him. The only issue was convincing her to join him. Not just her, but all the top runners of this batch. He was going to need as many allies as he could get in the coming days and he wasn't even sure on how to begin. After all he wasn't fighting for some lofty cause or for the greater good, but perhaps that was how he was going to reach the young Zahard. Argeus absorbed some of the surrounding Shinsoo and turned into his more human form. At least this way he may be able to attract less attention. Now all that was left was to approach Silentia, and her opponent as well. It would probably be easier recruiting the defeated Areum than the Zahard who had just one. So Argeus made his way to the medical area. " Which way was it again?" He muttered to himself as he picked a direction.

2-day Time Skip...

Announcing a new fight:

Exnor vs Tok: Rematch (part 1)

This time Exnor was the one challenged by Tok, for 200 points. Quite the surprise for the Lo Po Bia family member. Was Tok that stuborn? Was he truly that foolish? He seemed smarter than that. For a moment Exnor was showing some signs of disappointment. But the accel-turtle...he had very determined eyes.

"So, you have something up your sleve this time, turtle?"
"No."
"Ah I see. So you'll fight as usual?"
"Yes."
"Ok..."

Ah so he truly was stuborn. But little did Exnor know, Tok's usual fighting style was different from what he displayed in their first fight.

Begin!

This time Exnor attacked first, unleashing his energy chains at Tok while also leaping forward and gathering energy for his Smite technique. Tok caught the chains with his hand, and pulled Exnor closer to him using his great strength. Just what Exnor wanted...

Smite!

He released the blast, and thought it would go like last time, but through the light emited by the blast, Tok's arm disrupted the natural flow of events that Exnor thought would happen, and connected with the young Lo Po Bia's chin, sending him flying. This time Tok was prepared for it and enhanced his durability with Shinsoo.

Exnor initially landed on his feet, but the hit to the chin shook his brain, causing him to lose balance and fall.

"Huh?"

Hex, talking to Illiam

"Hey, you over there with the pale skin and black clothes! Wanna become stronger?" asked Hex, while standing on the celling in the room where Illiam was. He moved too fast for the untrained eye, thus nobody would have seen him when he entered. He starred at Illiam with his special golden eyes, smiling like usual.

Flashback- Exnor, Jun, and a Turtle

Exnor had a big grin on his face. "If I am to be the basis of a character in your novel, you can even make them a carbon copy if you so desire." he said, full of pride. Soon his attention shifted to the fight between Silentia and Aerum. "The power gap is so big it is not even funny," he voiced out his thoughts. The Zahard Princess merely used one Shinsoo skill to defend herself, while the rest was pure physical combat. Terrifying, indeed, but Exnor had a different view on things. "I will become stronger than her," was what he said, calmly, oozing with confidence.

Some time later, they had an unexpected guest, Tok.

"Golden Snail, I challenge you to a fight. 2 days from now."
"Umm...Ok."

Returning to present...

Exnor vs Tok: Rematch (part 2)

Tok threw himself at Exnor, ready to punch him again, this time in the gut. Exnor simply rolled out of the way, then performed a back flip. He moved hectically towards Tok, jumping from one place to another, and strengthening his body with Shinsoo. He also generated Lux Chains and used them as make-shift brass knuckles. He launched a fury of punches, but they where all dealt with in some way. Using minimal movement, Tok either dodged or deflected them. Afterwards the Accel-Turtle spinned, which took Exnor by surprise. But what he truly wasn't ready for was Tok's semicircular low kick, which made Exnor fall again.

The young Lo Po Bia smiled while on the ground and looked at Tok with eyes of wonder. "Marvelous!" he exclaimed. Tok didn't answer, he continued attacking, this time trying to kick Exnor with his right leg. But the young man caught Tok's left leg with Shinsoo chains and pulled, making the turtle-man fall to the ground as well. Exnor took this opportunity to distance himself from the turtle. He smiled brightly as he looked at Tok.

The Accel-Turtle got up as well. Stoic as usual.

Sasha visiting Aerum

Some time before the fight between Exnor and Tok, Sasha came to visit the young memeber of the Eurasia Family.

"No matter what other people say...I belive you did your best and that's what counts!" she said, energetically.

"But still...are you satisfied with your level of power?" she asked, as she slightly leaned towards Aerum.

Argeus was unfortunately lost. Being that he hadn’t lost his battle when he was down here and that all he needed to do was absorb Shinsoo and even severe injuries would heal given enough time he never had a need for a clinic. Wandering around randomly wasn’t helping the matter. The signs were the only things that allowed the Satyr the make any sort of progress. For some reason whenever he set foot inside the metal structures of the tower Argeus’s sense of direction was thrown off.
Argeus had long sense shifted to a more humanoid shape, if only for convenience of size and relative anonymity.
After some time of wondering the Satyr managed to find the clinic and the one he sought within. Though it seemed she was already speaking with someone Argeus wasn’t going to let that keep him away.
With a clearing of his throat Argeus interjected into their conversation.
“ Excuse me, you are Aerum correct? I saw your battle with the princess and was impressed with your prowess. I have an offer for you if you are willing to hear it.”

Illiam Herlaa
No, nope, nada
Illiam wasn't an overly negative kind of person. He would never say that he hated anything. Dislike, sure, he would say that, but he would hesitate to say he hated anything. At least that's how things stood two days ago. Now, as Illiam lay in his bed, he found the list of things he hated growing ever longer. He hated this Tower, he hated the old hag Yaga, he hated how he was only on the second floor after what felt like a week, he hated the food in the cafe and how flimsy the doors were. It seemed as if every day brought something new for Illiam to hate. He even hated the man standing on his ceiling, or to be more accurate he hated the question the man asked. Did he want to become stronger? What kind of question was that? The answer was obvious.

"Hell no."

Illiam was catching on to the way this tower worked, he was a fool no longer.

"Fool me once, shame on me, but you ain't fooling me twice. I know how you people work"-Illiam rose from his bed, having slept in his day clothes, and began pointing at the man on his ceiling-"You make idiots like me feel special, asking if we wanna get stronger, promising us power untold. Then what do you do? You punch us. Right in the gut. Over and over again." Such a simple question, yet that was all that was needed to send Illiam on a maniacal rant. He was pacing across the room, still pointing at the man as if his finger would fill him with shame.

"Well not today, I won't fall for your trick. Today's my day off, from getting punched, right in the gut, over and over. So go hit someone else. Now get. Go before I get help, I have a cat who'll eat you like kibble. Freak."

Illiam turned from the man, hiding his self-satisfactory smile, all the while preemptively ending Selicity a message that read:

-Selicity

Please help, there's a strange man in our room asking if he can hit me. Probably in the kidney. What a sicko.

Your best, Illiam Herlaa-

Hex & The Novelty (Illiam)

"So fresh!" was Hex's reply to Illiam's rant. "That reaction is new. But I can understand why you'd think I'd hit you, given Yaga's training, and your delusions." he added, with the ever-so-present smile on his face. He descened from the ceiling, as if walking down some invisible stairs, until he reached the ground.

Afterwards he moved, but from a person with untrained eyes's perspective, he looked as if he were multiplying. But if one would have taken a closer look, they'd see the "clones" were blurry, just afterimages.

"I am pretty sure you can tell by now that, if I wanted to hit you, I would have done so." with that said, he stopped moving. "I was merely curious of the new Irregular that entered this Tower. Some are diamonds, others are unpolished diamonds, but you...you're still carbon that needs to be put under pressure." he looked Illiam in the eye, without blinking. "I am not promising you great power. I merely wish to tell you how you can improve on your own. You are not obliged to listen, but I am going to talk about it anyway," he smiled smugly.

"Your current greatest weakness is your speed, or lack there of," Hex generated a sphere of dark lightning. "Since our Shinsoo types are similar and you can, apparently, already create a bellow-average Baang, I will tell you something interesting. If you where to condense that Baang, swallow it, and let the electric Shinsoo surge through your body, it would stimulate your nerves and muscles. In other words, you'd become stronger and faster." Hex paused for a few seconds, letting that all sink in. "Is there a catch? Of course. It will take its tool on your body. So whether or not you desire to use such a technique is up to you." Hex turned around and went towards to the door.

"That's all I had to say. If you ever wish to know more, you can find me around." and with that, he left.

Illiam Herlaa
Evading kidney punches
Who this man was, where he came from and what his goal is all an enigma to Illiam. But one thing was for certain, there was one undeniable truth that Illiam knew about this man. He, was a prick. Illiam hated the way he talked, he hated the smile on his face in the fact that he was so insulting. It didn't help that Illiam also wasn't a fan of being talked to. The man went on the explain a plethora of information that Illiam had heard before. Different words, same meaning. Only this man found a way to make the words feel all the more demeaning.

Once the man was finished he left, and not a moment too soon. Though most of what the man said went right over the young Amu's head, Illiam was able to filter the important bits. Still, it was a fair amount to sallow all at once. Pulling out his Pocket once more to send Selicity another message.

-Selicity

The mere mention of you caused the scoundrel to run with his (figurative) tail between his legs. No kidneys were punched, but I still look forward to your arrival.

Sincerely, Illiam Herlaa-
