Hailey listened carefully as she drove towards the little ice cream shop. She imagined Peter saying something like that. She knew he was good with all of the science stuff. However, she didn't really know that he liked photography, so that surprised her a bit. She was about to ask him more about that, but he instead asked about her plans for her future.

"Well...I really haven't too much about it," she admitted, "I mean I like English and stuff like that, so I might be a writer or something of the sort. Honestly, I'm not worried about college so much. I mean it would be nice to go, but I really just want to get a job so I can move out of my mom's house." Her mother had some new guy in and out of her house practically every week and she was growing rather sick of it.
~
Thor looked at her slightly before shaking his head no. "My father doesn't wish for us to go see him," he replied, "My mother had to put up a fight just to get those books and such down there for him. My father thinks that should be part of his punishment as well, though I do find that rather harsh."

Thor did care for his brother deeply but he also felt very betrayed by what Loki had done to him and his family. He didn't know why Loki did what he did because he didn't know what all Loki had gone through. He just didn't understand, but Thor also wasn't making a big push to understand. He just sort of obeyed his father's wills.

Hearing Thor's response of how Odin was refusing to let anyone down to see Loki, she frowned a bit "Oh" she simply responded, finding herself growing to dislike Odin the more she was involved with this family. She didn't want to dislike him, as, he was the king of Asgard, after all. However, the way he treated his youngest son was really starting to bother Maeve.

"Don't you think it's a bit unfair?" she asked as she glanced to Thor. She knew the blond cared very much for his family, and was incredibly loyal to his father, so she chose her words carefully "I'm sure Odin has the best in mind....but I think its a rather obvious conflict of interest, having a father punish and deal with a criminal whom is his own son. Does Asgard not have any measures for instances like this?" she asked, wondering if there was an alternative way for someone else to maybe handle the overseeing and punishment of Loki. Having Odin hold his own sons trial in the first place was wrong in Maeve's perspective, but she knew Asgard laws and how they had their own way of doing things without change.

As Peter turned the question back onto Hailey and asked her about her plans for after high school, if she had any, he found he actually was genuinely interested in the answer. Maybe he knew one of her biggest secrets, about her being the Mirage and all, but other than that, Peter found himself not really knowing much of anything about Hailey other than that, and the fact she was popular and well-liked at school. But he wanted to know more about her personality.

Hearing her response, he smiled a bit at the thought of her being a writer "Well, maybe it's be hard but you could always get a job while at college or university. You could get your own apartment or place, and still be able to go to college. I hear liberal arts schools are really good for creative majors, like writing" he suggested.

Hailey smiled slightly and shook her head. "You sound like my mother," she replied as she drove along onto the main road, "My mom wants me to go to college too but she wants me to be a lawyer like she is. She says there's no money out there for writers. Which I mean...is true, but I don't really think I care much about the money. If I wanted that, I'd try to be some kind of science genius like you."

Hailey had always been taught that success was equivalent to how much money you made and how long you worked for, but left little time for things that she thought were important. "I want to have to...ya know have a family and actually be with them. That's more important to me than any amount of money. Of course I want to be able to take care of them, but that also goes to both financial and physical needs," she continued.
~
Thor nodded slightly as he walked with her. He knew his father had always been hard on Loki but he always just saw it as tough love. However, now this was really pushing it even for his father. "I do," he said with a shrug of his shoulders, "But there's hardly anything I can do about it. Besides Loki doesn't particularly care for me so he won't even let me help him."

He walked into the castle with her before speaking up again. "Besides my father believes that Loki brought this upon himself," he said, "Loki didn't have to attack Midgard. No one forced him to do that. He should have known that the consequences would be swift and rather harsh. That's just how my father is. Nothing has changed much since we were little so I don't know what Loki expected."

Maeve just sighed a bit softly as she listened to Thor. At least he agreed it didn't seem quite the best process, considering the circumstances of them all being related and everything. But when he just brushed it off as it wouldn't matter and he couldn't do anything anyways, and it didn't matter because Loki wouldn't want him to help, she glanced to him "Perhaps it's because you're not willing to try" she suggested softly.

As he further explained how it was all Loki's choices that made him in his situation now, and he didn't have to do what he did, she just shook her head softly. She could make her assumptions, but in reality, she really didn't enough of the family, and she knew it wasn't really her place. "I don't think I really know enough about you and your family to argue" she said as she shook her head before changing the topic to her visit "So, to what do I owe the honor of being invited to Asgard this time?" she asked curiously.

~

Peter blinked a bit when she said he sounded like her mother, pausing as he considered it since he wasn't quite sure how to react. Was that a compliment or not? Was it a good thing he sounded like her mom? He wasn't sure, and therefore wasn't quite sure how to respond so kind of just let it drop as she continued to talk and explained a bit more.

As he listened to her talk about how money wasn't really a huge concern for her, but being happy and having a family she could actually have time to be with, he could sense maybe a little bit of resentment towards her mother, by how she mentioned she was a lawyer. He got the feeling that the two of them weren't overly close, and that from her mother, Hailey wanted the opposite of what she was used to from her mom. "Well, I think that only makes sense" he agreed with a small smile "In the end, I think most people just want to be happy. Sometimes that means money, and sometimes it means something more to others, like actual relationships."

She nodded slightly as she drove while Peter spoke. She never really saw her mother as happy before. Her mother wasn't cold or anything like that but she was very self oriented. She would put her needs before anyone else's and that was one of the reasons why her father left. He was tired of being put second while her mother was off doing whatever she wanted to do, and it was wearing on Hailey as well.

"Ya but I mean once you're a mom you put your happiness second. So if money makes you happy that's fine but...if you choose to have a family too then you have to know that you're going to have to sacrifice things," she commented before shaking her head.
~
Thor could tell that she wasn't really all that pleased with his answer but he figured she wouldn't be. However, this was how life on Asgard was. He had been punished as well like Loki had when he had attacked Jotunheim without his father's permission. His abilities were stripped away and he was thrown onto Midgard for his exile. His father could be harsh but rarely ever was he unfair in Thor's opinion.

Thor looked over at her and smiled slightly. "Surprisingly my father enjoyed your company," he replied as he walked with her, "He wanted you to come for another visit so he could get to know you better." He left out the whole...courtship thing. He figured that probably wasn't the best thing to bring up right about now considering what had just go one with Loki and everything.

While she had asked the question, Maeve wasn't stupid, and she already had a vaguely good idea of what the intentions of the royal family of Asgard were planning. She obliged for now and accepted the invites, although in reality, she didn't particularly have an interest in Thor. She wasn't interested in soldiers, which is what Thor was. She preferred someone who was interesting, and not be dull and boring...much like Thor seemed. She didn't dislike him, he simply wasn't her kind of man of interest.

She went along for now though, simply to see where this would go. She smiled a bit as he spoke of his father wanting to get to know her better, and she nodded her head a bit "That sounds wonderful. I'd be very much interested to get to know him better, as well as you" she commented. It wasn't a lie - while she romantically had no interest in Thor, she was interested in this family, mainly because of Loki, who intrigued her the most. She wanted to know know more about Loki, and the family he came from, to perhaps understand what lead him to his actions.

~

Listening to Hailey Peter wasn't sure if she was talking about a mom in general, or was talking about her own when she spoke. He glanced to her and had a feeling it was the later, as she seemed to feel a bit bitter regarding the way her mom was. Not hateful or anything, but enough to show that there were some underlying issues there that Hailey had with her family, her mother in particular.

"Well, a family in general comes with a lot of new responsibilities, and people have a lot of different ways of how they think they should handle and prioritize those responsibilities" he said with a shrug of his shoulder. Thankfully though, they soon arrived at the ice cream shop, and he smiled a bit "hey, yeah I know this place" he said proudly, having been here before as he got out of the car with her once she had parked it.

Hailey listened tTo Peter though she wasn't she completely agreed. She did her best though to shake it off as they arrived at the ice cream shop. She smiled and giggled slightly as she shook her head. "You sound surprised," she said as she got out of the car. She locked it up as she followed him inside. There was hardly anyone in there since it was after all a Tuesday night.

They took a seat and the waiter took their orders. Hailey decided on a chocolate and strawberry shake. After the pair ordered the waiter walked off to get their ice cream and Hailey looked back at Peter. "Oh are you ready for spring fling?" she asked referring to the upcoming dance, "I can actually never forget about it because it's all my friends talk about."
~
Thor did his best to smile and engulf himself in the conversation but honestly he wasn't that interested in Maeve. His father knew that he had met a mortal woman and he was rather upset with Thor because of it. He didn't have anything against Jane he just felt like his son deserved better.

He assumed that his father wanted him to be with Maeve because then at least they could improve their political relationships with each other but Thor took little liking to politics. "Would you care to come with me to dinner?" he asked, "I know my mother and father would like to speak to you again."

Maeve figured that there might be something good that came out of this. If nothing else, she hoped she could come to learn more about the family that Loki had seemed to feel so betrayed by. As someone who wanted the best for everyone, she also found herself always searching for the truth, pleasant or not. She liked information, and to dissect and understand things that others often just didn't want to, because it either didn't make sense to them, or was too difficult, or too much work for them to understand. She wanted to know if Loki was right to feel betrayed, or if he was as delusional and crazy as the Asgardian's made him out to be.

So when Thor asked her to join him and his family for dinner, she smiled and nodded her head in agreement "I would be honored, thank you" she spoke, as she then made her way to where they would eat as she would join Thor and his family once more for dinner.

~

Peter smiled a bit and just shrugged his shoulders "I just didn't really know where we were going. You just said you knew a good place so I took your word for it" he said with a smile and chuckled a bit "For all I know, you could have been secretly kidnapping me or something" he spoke jokingly to her as he got out of the car and headed into the shop with her, getting the door for her and letting her go in first before following.

As they sat down, Peter placed his order, also ordering a shake, though it was a cookies and creme one, before their waiter left to go make them. Turning his attention back to Hailey as she asked about spring fling, he grew awkward again "Oh, I uh....um, yeah, I wasn't really planning on going....me, dancing...don't really go well together" he spoke awkwardly.

Hailey smiled slightly and shook her head. "Oh come on Peter it's just supposed to be fun. You and Ned should get dates and go. It's just fun to hang with everyone," she replied, "Besides maybe you can meet a nice girl or something. Anyone you have your eye on?"

She figured they were close enough to talk about this kind of stuff and even if they weren't she figured Peter would stop her. "I mean think about it: you can take her out to dinner, maybe Ned get a girl too and you guys can all get dinner together, then go to the dance and just have fun. Plus it'll be a good break from what...you usually do at night." She too used this stuff as a break too.
~
"Great," Thor said with a smile as he led her to the dining room. It was much less crowded than it had been the other night that she was there. Now it was just Odin, Frigga, the two of them, and a number of servants. Frigga rose from her seat and smiled at the young woman before walking over and embracing.

"Welcome back to Asgard, my dear," she said gently as Thor pulled a chair out for Maeve, "Please sit down." Frigga wasn't stupid. She knew Maeve wasn't a good match for Thor. She was surprised that Maeve had even agreed to return. Perhaps she was wrong but that was rarely the case. She would have to speak to her later. Perhaps she would let her in on what she was thinking.

Once agreeing to dinner, Maeve followed Thor through the castle to the dining hall. She smiled when she saw the two parents there and she nodded to them, about to politely greet them before she already found herself wrapped up in an embrace from Frigga, shocking her a bit. She blinked a bit at the expression of familiarity, before smiling lightly "Thank you, it's a pleasure to be back."

As Thor pulled out the chair for her, she smiled politely and took the seat, thanking him as she sat down at the table. She brushed off the slight awkwardness she felt by joining the family for dinner, but she did want to learn more about them. She wasn't interested in Thor, but it would be a good way to maybe learn more about the family and Loki to understand more.

~

Peter still looked unconvinced even with Hailey tried to encourage him, talking about how fun it would be. When she spoke of getting a date, he shook his head, not even having to think about it or consider "That's not going to happen. There's no way Ned or I will get a date. The chances of either one of us getting a date would be a miracle, let alone both of us" he said honestly. He wasn't afraid to admit this reality to Hailey, he felt like she was probably already more than well aware of this fact too.

As she started asking about if there was a girl he liked, he was a bit surprised by her asking that, since he didn't realize they were that close yet. But then again he just blamed it on his on social capabilities and being unable to realize these sort of things. Blushing a bit awkwardly, he cleared his throat "Oh uh...no....no girl" he awkwardly answered, slightly giving away that there was a girl. But Peter could dare tell her it was none other than herself.

"Oh come on Peter you cannot sell yourself that short," she said with a shake of her head, "You two could get dates if you wanted to. You guys are smart and funny and I think pretty easy to talk to." She hated to see Peter like this. How could he think he wasn't good enough for anyone?

"Look Peter if those guys like Flash make you feel like you can't get a girl then you've let them win. They're jerks, and everyone knows it. Honestly the only reason they're popular at school is because no one wants to get on their bad side. And hey if you want I can help you. I mean there's a ton of girls at school I'm sure two would be happy to go with you and Ned."
~
They ate dinner together and food was good as usual. They also didn't bring up Loki. Frigga was to afraid to and neither Odin nor Thor thought to even speak about him. Loki was sort of an afterthought but that was nothing knew. It was like that before he was out in prison.

Frigga could tell that Maeve didn't like that but she did her best to keep the conversation peaceful and civil. After dinner Thor took her out to the balcony while is parents spoke privately. He looked at her quietly before sighing. "I should probably tell you why you're actually here for," he said quietly, "My father thinks a courtship between us would bring out realms closer together."

Maeve sat with the family and had pretty basic conversation between them, a lot of it was Odin asking the questions, and to her, wanting to know more about her and see if she would be a good fit for his son. Well, he didn't care so much about the fit, but he did believe that it was important to know more of her if this courtship was going to work. He of course thought it was a great idea. The elf was attractive, intelligent, and an Alfheimian, which with a relationship between her and Thor, his son, would increase relations between Alfheim and Asgard, which, despite the two realms having been pretty close through most of history, there was some instability in that relationship lately and Odin was trying to cure it before it spurred into anything more.

After dinner, Maeve followed Thor out onto the balcony, smiling a bit to herself as she recalled the last time she was here, talking with Frigga. She looked to Thor as he spoke up, and she smiled a bit when he said he was going to tell her why she was really there, and she nodded her head. "I know. I had a feeling that's what this was about" she commented, before glancing to him curiously "What about you? What do you think? Or are you just following your fathers wishes?"

~

Peter smiled a bit and shook his head "I think you give Ned and I a bit more credit than is due when it comes to the social field" he said with a small smile "It's not just because of Flash. I mean really, you've got to admit it too - I'm too socially awkward to get a date. It's statistically a fact that a guy like me wouldn't get a girl - especially for the spring fling. Plus, like I said...dances aren't really my kind of thing..." he trailed off.

As they were talking, the waiter had come back with their shakes, and Peter smiled a bit with a nod of thanks to the man before he disappeared again. Turning his attention back to Serena, he changed the direction of conversation a bit "What about you? I'm sure you've had a bunch of guys ask you already. Do you know who you're going with?" he asked with a smile.

Hailey shook her head as he spoke but before she could bring anything else up he started asking her about her plans. "I've had a couple," she replied with a slight smile, "I think I'm going to go with Jase Worthington. He seems nice enough, but anyway you are not getting of the hook that easy."

She smiled widely as she sat up straight. She was going to have fun with this. "Ok so you think you're too socially awkward so I can help you with that. Girls love confidence Peter, so just try to...talk to me about something that you're confident about like...chemistry or...photography," she suggested, "Now come on pretend I'm a girl you want to ask out."
~
Thor looked at her carefully before looking back out into the night Asgardian sky. "Honestly, I don't see much between us," he replied carefully, "But please don't take that the wrong way. I mean you are intelligent, clever, smart...those are all the same adjective. Um...but you are beautiful and all but I just...I have to admit that I've fallen for another."

Thor was this deep down the rabbit hole that he should probably tell her what was going on. "I met a mortal woman. Her name is Jane Foster," he said, "I went a little overboard and my father ended up taking my abilities away and banishing me to Midgard. I fell in love with her but my father hardly sees a mortal as a suitable match for me so he hoped I would change my mind when I got to know better. I'm sorry to say I don't think it's working."

She smiled a bit as Thor said he didn't see anything between them, but then seemed to worry over her feelings and tried to be sure to make sure she wasn't upset or anything. She smiled a bit and shook her head "I don't take it the wrong way at all. I think it makes things a lot easier for me, anyways" she said, since she had no interest in Thor that way either.

She listened to him explain how he already loved another, and the story of how that happened and everything. She smiled a bit, shaking her head lightly "Well, its hard to know if its working when we've barely tried. I understand you heart lies elsewhere. But I think your father is a very wise man...perhaps we should try seeing through this longer? If nothing more, I'd love to at least build our relationship, even if it remains nothing more than a friendship" She spoke, acting as though she did have an interest in him, and his fathers wishes. She didn't, of course, but she needed a reason to stay and be able to keep coming back so she could learn more of Loki. She didn't know why he had such a hold of interest in her mind, but he did.

~

Peter knew he had no chance of having Hailey be his date. Even if she didn't already have one. He was lucky enough he was even on these friendly of terms with her, to be hanging out, getting ice cream together, things like that. It was almost as if...they were actually friends. It made him happy, of course. But he did still have a crush on her - it was hard not to, especially the more he learned about her.

Before it was easier to have a crush on her. She was just the popular girl of school, and they had never talked before. He knew he didn't have a shot then, because he knew it was just a boyish fantasy, a high school dream that there was no way he would ever even have the chance to talk to such a popular girl. So it was easier then, and nothing more than a crush. But now, being friends with her, it made him hopeful...and he knew he shouldn't be. Hearing her ask him to talk to her like she was a girl he was interested in, his face flushed "I...I can't do that" he stammered quickly, taking a sip of his milkshake to occupy himself.

Hailey looked at him gently and shook her head. She fiddled with her straw for a moment as he tried to brush her off. "Peter, you know you can trust me right?" she said gently with a slight smile, "I'm not going to...make fun of you or judge you. I really do want to help. Come on just give it a try. Please, for me?"

Hailey did want to help Peter but she couldn't do that if he didn't let her. She knew he was nervous about talking to her but he didn't need to be. Though Hailey didn't know why he was nervous. She was too blind to even take note that it may be possible for Peter to have a crush on her.
~
Thor was rather unsure. He didn't want this. He liked Maeve but not like that. Besides he figured she wasn't really falling much for him either. Then again she was right; they hadn't even begun to try to work things out between them. "I...I know this," he replied before nodding, "I suppose you're right to think that way."

He didn't really like her but he needed to appease his father for the time being. With Loki's mishap he didn't think his father could take anymore disappointment. He took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes alright," he said gently, "I am willing to try this if you are."

Maeve smiled a bit when he seemed to agree in the end, and she nodded her head happily. She wasn't concerned, because in the end, she knew they wouldn't be together. He would still get to be with Jane - well, if he could, anyways. She at least wouldn't be the one stopping him. Maybe temporarily, but that would be it. She had no interest in Thor in such a way.

Honestly...she did feel bad....since she kind of felt like she was using him. But she decided it wouldn't be that big of a deal. And plus, if Odin was intent on getting them together...if she ever did get caught for snooping around and trying to sneak a visit in to Loki, she likely wouldn't get into serious trouble. And thankfully, due to Frigga taking her last time to see Loki, she already knew the way. At Thor's response, she nodded her head with a smile "I do not wish to make you unhappy, Thor. Nor do i myself know if I'd be happy with you. But in time, if things are still the same, it will not offend me in any way" she assured him.

~

Peter sighed a bit, and gave Hailey a smile "I know I can trust you, that isn't the issue, Hailey" he spoke softly, wanting to assure her that it wasn't that he had any problem with her or anything. He meant that too - well, working with someone in a life or death battle kind of was a sure way to gain someones trust. But he did feel comfortable with Hailey, and he knew she wasn't like the other popular kids. She wasn't going to make fun of him if he did something weird or funny.

When she further insisted about wanting him to try, he sighed a bit with a shake of his head "It's alright, Hailey...I do really appreciate your help. But the girl I like would never recognize me in that way, and she certainly wouldn't be interested in going to the spring fling with me" he said with a small, awkward smile "I do really appreciate you wanting to help me though. Thank you."

Hailey took a sip of her milkshake while she listened to him before shaking her head. "Well how on earth would you know that would you know that?" she asked as she brushed a lock of her hair back, "Well ok what about this. What if I set you up with someone then you have an excuse to go and flirt with this girl. That way even though you're not going with you she'll at least know you exist. I'll even get Ned a date too."

She knew it wasn't really his thing but she figured it was just because he was shy. She wanted to help him out of his shell a little. "It'll be fun," she said with a smile, "I'll be there too so I can help you if you need it."
~
He had to agree with her. They really didn't know much about each other and it wouldn't hurt to get to know one another a bit more. Besides he needed to get his father off his back. "I'm going to tell my parents that we have decided to see where things go," he said with a smile, "You don't have to stay confind here. That would be rather boring. Please don't hesitate to have a look around. I'll come find you once I'm done."

With that he left her there on her own not knowing where she would most likely be going. He didn't think she had any interest in his younger brother as often no one did. But he was wrong to assume that and he would soon figure that out.

Maeve smiled a bit as he seemed to warm up a bit more to the idea. Honestly....she almost felt bad for how stupid Thor was. He couldn't see the absolute lack of chemistry that she didn't want to be with him just as much as he with her. It was almost too easy to pull these things over his eyes. Hearing him tell her to look around, she smiled a bit and nodded "I think I will do that, thank you. I'll probably be outside somewhere, since every visit to Asgard so far as been within these walls" she commented casually. Of course, she wasn't going to be outside.

Once he was gone, she headed in the direction of the dungeons - though not in a beeline, wanting to not be obvious and appear to servants and others as she was just strolling about and looking around. Making it to the dungeons, she knew she'd have to be careful of the guards. It was mainly the few at the entrance to the dungeons that would notice her and she had to get past. To do that, she actually avoided their sights by climbing the wall, and walking on the ceiling - she was able to do so by forming instant dry ice on her feet, so it stuck to whatever surface. Essentially, acting as suction shoes - but ice instead. Finding Loki's cell, thankfully no guards paying attention, she dropped from the ceiling to the floor in front of his cell "Hello again. Excited to see me?"

~

As Hailey continued to try and influence him and get him to agree to her helping set him up with a girl, even if to talk to another girl, he smiled awkwardly "Hailey, really, it's quite unnecessary. I don't think I need to be with another girl. I have no interest...Plus, the girl already kind of knows I exist. I think I'm just better off not going...the girl I'd prefer to be with already has better options than me..." he trailed off, before smiling a bit.

"If you still wanted to find someone for Ned though, he might appreciate it. But he's not much of a dancer either, so I'm not sure if he would be willing to go either. We don't usually go to the school parties and events like these. We...we just stick out a lot" he said with a sigh and slight shrug of his shoulders.

Hailey just shook her head but smiled. "I just don't want you to get scared off by some guy and think you're not good enough for someone," she said with a smile, "Because you are, Peter. Whoever the girl is she's not too good for you." With that she focused a bit more on her shake. She didn't want to push him any further than she already had as she could see he wouldn't budge.

"I do still need to find a dress though," she said with a smile, "I'm going with Brooke tomorrow after school to go find something. The only thing about Jase is that he can be overly critical so I need to find something good."
~
Thor stepped out to speak to his parents for a while, leaving Maeve alone for while. He figured she would wander around but he didn't think she would end up going to the dungeons to see his brother.

Loki was busy paging through a book when she walked up. He paused when heard footsteps and was even more shocked when whoever it was paused in front of his cell. He looked up carefully before letting out a loud sigh. "Seriously?" he asked with a roll of his eyes, "how did you get back here?"

As Maeve arrived at Loki's cell, she expected as much of a reaction from him. Well, she supposed it was friendly than last time. Even if minutely. At least he wasn't whining for her to leave already. Her bet was about five minutes before he tried telling her to leave. And she wasn't worried about him telling people she had visited him, since no one seemed to believe a word he said anyways to begin with.

Hearing his question, she tilted her head "When you ask that, do you mean here, as in, Asgard here. Or here as in, where I'm standing right now, here?" she asked curiously, before deciding to just answer both "It seems your father is fond of me, and particularly, the idea of your brother and I courting. I got rather bored pretty quickly though, so I decided to find someone who can hold a far better conversation" she shrugged her shoulders.

~

He smiled a bit at Hailey's encouraging words, but somehow he highly doubted them. It wasn't that he didn't think he was good enough for anyone....it was just Hailey that he didn't think he was good enough. And even when she said she thought regardless of who the girl was, she wasn't too good for him, he still doubted that. If only she knew that it was her...he bet she would answer differently than that. Even though they seemed to be close now, and friends at that, he doubted she would want anything to do with him romantically.

Thankfully she didn't seem to press too much further about the subject and getting him a girl, and she went on to talk about how she still needed to find a dress and would be going to get one tomorrow. He raised an eyebrow when she said she needed to pick a good one, simply because her date was picky "Why should that matter?" he asked "You should be able to pick a dress that you like, not someone else. You're the one who people are going to be seeing in it. I think you should look good for yourself, not for anyone else."

Hailey brushed her hair back slightly before turning her attention to Peter. She hadn't realized what she had just said, until it was already out of her mouth. "Oh no no I mean...well I mean he just can be a handful at times and he's a senior. A senior asking a sophomore rarely ever happens so I want to make a good impression," she replied.

Hailey was constantly worried about what other people thought about her. She had to always wear the right shoes, the right skirt. And she did that because she felt as though she needed to do it to impress others. She didn't really see herself as good at anything but the one thing she could control was her appearance, so she did.

Loki rolled his eyes. "I really meant why are you still alive but I guess I'll say humor me and answer whichever question you'd like," he replied as he turned his attention back to his book. He didn't want to talk to her but then again he was desperate for a visitor and just about anyone would do. Even someone like Maeve.

He was rather surprised and disgusted to hear that his father had brought her here to try and court his older brother. He laughed slightly before shaking his head. "Oh I pity the fool who marries Thor," he replied with a smirk, "Besides I can already tell you that he doesn't love you. He had a mortal woman that he's fallen for. I've not met her but she seems like your complete opposite so I wouldn't hold out much hope."

She rolled her eyes as he said he was referring to why she was even still alive "Glad to see you're as fond of me as ever" she commented, before she responded by answering why she was back in Asgard, and why she currently was in front of his cell, since obviously wasn't allowed to be having visitors, she likely wasn't supposed to be there.

When he talked about his brother and how he didn't love her, she smiled a bit "I am aware, he already informed me. Yet he seems eager to please Odin. I have no interest in Thor, he's....well, rather....unintelligent, and simple minded. But I figured I'd go along with it, as it gives me the opportunity to talk to you."

As Hailey seemed to try and clarify what she was saying, it honestly still sounded just the same to Peter. He supposed he got the point of the upperclassman asking the underclassman....but it didn't surprise Peter since Hailey really was amazing. But the fact that she seemed so eager to impress others, kind of bothered him. He felt she shouldn't have to be like that....but then again maybe that's what separated her from being popular, and him not.

Shaking his head a bit to himself, he sighed as he drank more of his shake, which was getting less thick the more it melted as they sat there talking - he didn't mind though. "Anyways, I guess all I'm saying is that while making a good impression is all fine and well, it shouldn't be something you have to stress over."

Hailey knew where he was coming from. Rarely if ever did someone understand her obsession with making a good first impression. She just didn't want anyone to dislike her. It was a strange obsession that she had. She was popular because she made an effort not to do anything that people wouldn't like. That could be a bad thing though as she had a difficult time telling people no.

"Don't worry about me, Peter," she said with a smile, "I'll be alright. I always am." They spent a bit more time in each other's company before she looked at her phone to check the time. "We should probably head back. Do you want me to drive you home?" she asked, knowing that regardless of his answer she would do it as New York wasn't a safe place at night.
~
Loki shook his head and looked back at his book, doing his best to ignore her. She hardly interested him as he was still bitter about New York. Though he couldn't help his curiosity when she spoke about how Thor was trying to court her. "He is always trying to please his father," Loki said with a roll of his eyes, "Its rather annoying id have to admit."

He was rather shocked though when she told him that she really wanted to see him. He arched a brow before shaking his head. "Oh mother always told me this was going to happen. I knew I was just too good looking and Thor was just such an idiot that I'd eventually ruin his once chance at a relationship," he said rather sarcastically, "Oh my poor brother."

She rolled her eyes a bit as he sarcastically spoke about how he would be the one to ruin Thor's slim chance of a relationship because of their differences, and she just rolled her eyes "You can't really ruin a relationship that isn't really there, now can you? Especially considering your stuck in this cell for quite some time" she pointed out.

"Don't get me wrong Loki. I'm just curious about you, that is all. I'll admit I've never met anyone like you before. However, that may be a bad or good thing. You commented before how I really know nothing. Nothing about you, and your family. You're right. So why don't you enlighten me a bit? What else have you to do but reread the same books you've already read several times before?"

Peter looked to her a bit with uncertainty as she assured him she was fine and not for him to worry about her....yet he still couldn't really help it. He just gave her a smile, and a slight nod, letting that topic go for now as they just continued to enjoy each others company, and they talked a bit more. Peter really enjoyed the time. It was the first time they were hanging out for no other reason but to hang out. No studying, no saving New York, no school...just, them.

After a while, it got pretty late, and hearing her offer to drive him home, he smiled a bit as he shook his head "No, that's alright don't worry about it" he said with a smile as he walked back to her car with her "It's not that far of a walk" he assured, not wanting to give her the trouble of driving back to his place.

Hailey walked out to the car with him before smiling back at him. "Ok the question was a formality," she replied before unlocking the car door, "Go on. Get in. New York isn't really safe after dark. You of all people should know that." She brushed her hair back before climbing into the driver's seat.

She started up the car before starting to head to his apartment once he climbed in. It didn't take them long as it was kind of a short walk like he said. She parked next to the apartment complex before looking over at him. "Thanks for your help Peter," she said with a smile, "I'll see you tomorrow?"
~
He rolled his eyes slightly before smirking. "I know but the reason it isn't there is because of me," he replied before going back to his book. He hadn't really expected her to stick around after that. He looked rather surprised when she started talking.

"Oh you...you want to keep talking," he said with a raise of his brow before shaking his head, "I don't wish to disclose that kind of stuff with you. You don't need to know anything about me or my family. You're just nosy and like to stick your nose in things where it doesn't belong. So if you could kindly leave me alone that would be marvelous." He didn't understand her persistence. He too had to admit that he had never met anyone like her before.
