Fandom [OOC] Titans Chat

Alright. The posting cycle is near complete and I'm waiting on posts from... Rui Rui and Randomfella Randomfella . I know it's a busy time. I just finished a huge evaluation Friday. But, I won't allow the RP to stagnate, either. I'm not going to 'reprimand' anyone--I feel that I shouldn't get close to enforcing things heavily again until late May. That's when most finals are over. Mine don't end 'til June, but I can handle it. Nonetheless, my protocol now is that I will post once to move the story forward at the end of each week at least once and more if you guys finish a cycle. I don't wan the story held back, plain and simple. The only real drawback here is that you guys as individuals will get less interaction and of course have more to catch up on.

As you're all about to find out, I'm very, very thorough. Every aspect of their future as Titans is about to be fleshed out in this introduction.

I know I just asked for a few stats. Don't get too hung up on them. I only want to use what you give me as a base to show periodic improvement. This will give you a really good idea as to what you can do in the RP as we progress. Necro, my suggestion for you would be to just give Karoline roughly 10%-20% more than the average female of her age. I give you that range because her raw strength is about 20% this very second, but her speed is only 10% or so. So, force example, 16 year old females in the 85th percentile of the Presidential Challenge are expected to get below 8:23, so lets round it off and say 8 minutes. 10% of 8 minutes is 48 seconds, so it would be fair to say she can finish a mile right this second at 7:10--being generous to her. Any other questions, send me a PM.

Got a couple of exams over next two days and last one on Saturday, so might not be able to post until Friday or after Saturday.
For these physicals, are meta powers not used during them?

Mkay. Was curious about that, since I assumed you couldn't go physically beyond the one punch per second attack.
 
Wait this isn't one of those speed bags that boxers use is it? I'm imagining a solid bag that you would kick also, or is it the former?

It's actually pretty easy to go past one per second with a little training. Keep in mind it's alternating between a lead hand jab and a rear hand cross. The one thing to note is that for non-Flash people, higher speed often means a drop in how much power is behind each punch. So it's a bit of a tradeoff.
 
Cyclic punching (that weird rotating thing you see boxers do), standard jabs in rhythm and martial arts strikes can ALL be really fast.

And, yeah, normally higher speed means reduced force. That's why boxers are really impressive even though they're not as flashy as martial artists. They often have a LOT more force behind their strikes and are just as fast.
 
Hmm. I guess why Kary got only one jab per second - was because I was imagining her doing frontal jabs only.

Not that sidewinder trick - but we'll, room for technique work there.
 
Yeah, I wasn't going to correct anyone. If you as a player don't know, then correcting characters--even if they theoretically should know better--is just an unneeded investment of time that could better be used in the IC.
 
I fully intended on getting a post up today that would even introduce Hyperion to team leadership for a while, however...

...my printer ran out of ink, then had some weird errors. Couldn't get the ink from anywhere: Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Staples. Of course, I have an old printer that requires the old school printer cable, not even a USB one; that's probably the root of that issue.

Nonetheless, two hours of driving resulted in me going to the local library to pay $6 for some paperwork and that ate up my posting time today. I should have something out tomorrow evening if my interview (what the paperwork is for) is short or Tuesday at the latest.

Go ahead and do another post cycle where you enter Bay 2, find the lockers and put on your vests. I could do a skimpy post describing what they see, but I think as long as you know the prompt, it should be fine.

They're heading down a lift (more of a platform that moves up and down than a true elevator) that connects the two floors. The "bay" area looks somewhat like a space station prep room before you would leave a shuttle/ship. It's fairly large, too. It does have windows, but large metal sheets are obstructing them. When she said lockers, she actually meant "large cabinets with digital displays of your names"--it uses a palm vein scan to open. So just press their hands down. Inside, there will be a set of boots, visor and vest. They only need the vest for now. Aside from that, the doors are two large doors that just slide open automatically.

As I said, I could've made a giant post, but I felt just letting you guys do another post cycle would be cleaner.
