The gaming industry has been changing since its first conception. It started in obscurity, a bi-product of human technological advancements in the past century. They've evolved, gotten better, more realistic, and more complex than ever before. Their very nature challenged the human mind, developed creative skills such as puzzle solving, your ability to recognize and find solutions to problems, training your reaction times to combat, and more. They've become a staple of the economy of the modern world, populated by millions to a billion people across the globe.
Even in the dawn of video games, people have tried to find out who 'the best' has always been in particular games. Massive competitive scenes have developed, those who obtain first place in these tournaments are deemed the winners, and thus, 'the best.' That is, until they are toppled down by the next successor. And so the cycle goes on and on. There has never been one who has been the best forever.
That is, until one meme rose on the Internet, thought to be a hoax. The rumors of TheLegend27, some fictional character that started in an ad of Game of War. That was only the beginning of his notoriety. TheLegend27 is not merely some fictional character; no, he is a living, breathing gamer just like the rest, a teenager who hated school, annoyed by rules and limitations set on them, and loved video games. However, the real TheLegend27 was killed in an accident when he was sixteen. Who is this teen now that has taken up that fabled username?
TheLegend27 has been seen in tournaments many times as a simple joke. What happens when word finally gets out that they are real, and are much more than what was originally perceived? His skill in video games is unrivaled, leading to many thinking he is invincible. He does not participate in tournament, he merely watches them. Every gamer that has challenged him has met their end at a perfect victory on his part; no damage, frame perfect combos and executions. They were quickly and as efficiently as possible dealt with.
That is, until you notice something is up.
You're a prodigious gamer that has been quickly making a name for themselves in the world of gaming. Whatever games you pick up and play competitively, you show that you're a force to be reckoned with; while not having quite the record of TheLegend27, you both have never even met. In fact, some say that you might be the only one able to beat them. TheLegend27 has seemed to have started avoiding you in particular ever since you first called out an odd occurrence in a game of his. Of course, it was a completely average thing that could happen to anybody, anywhere, but it was simply odd on how it occurred there when he needed it most.
Things are not as they appear. In each rarely recorded match with this player, things get... weird. The game seems as if it is working with TheLegend27 to ensure their perfect victory. He's won games before they've even started, and yet no problems have ever been detected within the games themselves. It seems as if he's simply gotten extremely lucky, or there is something else at play here. He's been accused of cheating many times, but that is only the beginning. Will you prove that he's a cheater, or will you find out the truth?

Anyway, hello! This item came to my mind today and just would not leave. While I could've/should've written this as a simple story instead, I wanted to see if I could find anybody to actually RP this with me. The time period is modern; i.e., 2017 era. Competitive games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tekken, Street Fighter V, Team Fortress 2, and more are all dominating the competitive scene still. Real world, fictional reality.
So, anyway, I'm looking for a partner or a small group of people to RP this with. I will be playing TheLegend27, the mysterious figure that's been dominating the playerbase with his skills. You may play as whoever you want in reality, you don't have to follow the scene I set up in that big ass wall of words. Just hit me up and we can talk about it.
I'm a bit bad at setting up these scenes, so... just post here or PM me if you're interested in this. I'm looking for people with decent grammar and punctuation, and are willing to be very detailed. Multiple paragraphs is wanted very much. It would do you very well to have a broad knowledge of video games in general, it isn't required to have extensive knowledge of any in particular. I'm certainly no master, I mostly just play Dark Souls 3 PvP all day.
