And I whole heartedly agree, World building can be a major freaking drag. That said, once it's all said and done, I may have a specific role I'd entrust to you, as two characters in the roleplay start off pointedly more powerful than anyone else and I know you wouldn't abuse it... well, too badly.

I don't have any negative feelings towards Lahz.
And trying to bribe other characters into turning against my character doesn't seem like nothing. Choosing not to be an accomplice to attempted rape sounds like pretty reasonable stance to me. Nothing particularly white knight-ish about it. Just being a decent human being.

But I thought the stat system only applied to Codebreakers. Or do civilians level their characters as well? That doesn't make much sense to me, seeing as there would be no reason for the scientists to put such a thing in place for common use. Unless... the mayor were a Codebreaker as well? And even in that case, why would some of these stats play a role in whether or not we can go MIB on him? (i.e. Agility) Seems more like a mental strength thing to me, and it should be easy convincing a feeble, senile old guy into believing the past few minutes never happened

I think it's because even civilian npcs have stats. But, unlike Codebreakers, they are fixed to the role their characters play. This rp seems to follow certain game mechanics and, if I remember from the online rpg games I played, npcs do have stats. That's why, if I wanted to VR force the mayor, I'd wait until my character was a higher level...since mayor's lvl is undetermined...for now.

Negative. As Quirk says, though storied, this is still an RPG and even NPC have stats. The world is virtual, so things within it need parameters to interact correctly with everything else. All people are programmed to baseline stats. Yes civilians can level their characters.As for the stats, read the descriptions over again carefully and how they're worded. Agility is not directly described as only moving quickly. Prowess isn't described directly as having massive strength either.

Somewhat. I have to find two roleplayers I trust to play them right, but they are nigh immortal twins who have both lived for a number of millennia, having ruled together up until three millennia back, where the more warlike twin was seal in a crystal for taking the solving of a some issues into their own hands.
But, yes, very much due to how well you handled both Wunan and Jinan, especially given the power gaps between them and the players, it's a lot of why I'd ask you first. Provided you're ultimately interested in the RP once I get more of the details hammered out, of course.
