Jasmine continued her negotiations with the C'thilians as more of them came to investigate their visitors. It turned out that this new threat, Omnizwart, was gaining recognition and infamy throughout the universe for their ruthless efficiency. Many of their strongest warriors were so powerful their powers couldn't even be measured. When asked, they relayed that they were certain Valkyrie's Super Saiyan power was essentially nothing compared to the worst of them.

Jasmine pried for as much information as she could before they told her they needed to meet amongst themselves and requested their privacy. They needed to send the news of the attack back to their home world and start working on preventative measures against future attacks. They backed down for now, but they would be back. And next time they'd likely send someone stronger.

Jasmine and Elprede bid them farewell as they started leaving, and Elprede raced back to Pyro's ship as it began landing at the designated space that they agreed to reserve for him as they worked on the vessel. Once on board he made his way to the Medical Bay to visit Era and Valkyrie.

The crimson-haired Saiyan was unconscious still with her head bandaged and a little red in the back from blood leakage, but otherwise the doctors said she'd be fine. A mild concussion was the worst of it. Era was seated nearby resting her eyes as Elprede approached.

"Everything went about as well as it could have. If you don't mind, I'm going to fly around the local galaxy a bit to stretch my legs."

Era nodded.

"We'll be here when you're ready to come back... But before you leave, I have a request for you."

"What's up?"

Era sighed.

"I'd like you to break the Spirit Link."

Elprede was a bit surprised, as this was a bit out of the blue. There didn't seem to be any logic to that decision given the advantages it brought. But then again... It had its downs too.

"Sure. Close your eyes." He said.

Era did as requested, and Elprede slowly focused on the task until the Link was removed. The sensation of Era in his heart, and Elprede in her heart vanished. They were separated again. Normal. Just as before.

Era opened her eyes and smiled.

"Thanks El."

"May I ask why you wanted it severed?"

"I'm a Saiyan. As sad as it sounds, I cannot escape my pride. I wanted to be my own woman again and fight my battles alone without relying on anyone if I could avoid it."

Elprede nodded and shrugged.

"Typical. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised."

"Sorry El. I appreciate you using it to help me before, but it was time to let go."

"Sure. Anyway, I'll be back eventually. Don't wait up."

And in a blink he was gone, leaving her behind as he usually did with that blinding speed of his. She smiled slightly and chuckled.

"Rest easy El. And stay out of trouble." She said quietly.

She closed her eyes and continued to rest in the corner of the Medical Bay.

After the negotiations were over the doctor made Pyro go into the Rejuvenation Chamber as soon as she could. After be practically shoved into the chamber Pyro relaxed and began to sleep as the rejuvenation chamber began doing it's work. As he slept he began to dream...

It was a dark and stormy night on a mysteries planet, Pyro, in his first form, was floating in the air above a destroyed city. In front of him was a sayain through his face was was unrecognizable. "So you come to die Pyro. Well I'll be happy to..." the mysteries sayain said before transforming into a super sayain. "...To kill you."

"Big words coming from a soon to be dead monkey" Pyro said transforming into his final form...

"Pyro his power levels going up a little... Probably because his dream I guess." The doctor said watching the computer connect to Pyro's chamber.

The mysteries sayain and Pyro charged at each other and the shock wave from the first hits further crumbled the building around them. Their fist seemed to be faster then the eye could see as each punch hit the target for both sides. Pyro then did a quick turn and slammed his tail into the mysteries sayain and launched him into the ground. The sayain simple smirked from the crater made by him hitting the ground. "Well a frost demon a tougher then I thought. Well then how about I raise the stakes more!" the mysteries sayain said before yelling and powering up further...

"I wonder what he's dreaming about..." The doctor said watching the computer screen as Pyro's power level slowly went up.

(Pyro couldn't do much else, so I hope this will do.) ChoShadow ChoShadow

"Anything for you old friend," Strom had said a bit solemn. He had no idea what had happened to his oldest comrade and greatest compatriot, and truth be told, Strom was very worried. His hands shot to aid Faero as the strode to more private sanctions.

"This news better have been large enough to lose an arm over," A chuckle emitted from Strom as he tried his best to lighten the situation. The way he had seen it, Strom was fairly on par with Faero, but now there was an undoubtable advantage in Strom's favor. As much as it had saddened him, Strom couldn't wait to discover how his friend would move past this setback, there was no keeping down a Saiyan. It was much like Strom's time on Zuccin, not in the sense of a lost limb, more in the sense of being down on luck.

Strom's mind had slightly drifted in the time it took for them to walk toward the nearest place they could speak privately, a library that housed most of Strom's work. The scholar opened the door for his injured friend. Strom closed it quickly afterward, he made sure it was locked. "Here my friend," Strom rushed over and brought a chair for Faero to sit in, "Take a seat, carefully though."

D. Rex D. Rex

(With King's Permission, I have taken over Faero temporarily)

Faero smiled, but raised his remaining arm in silent protest.

"I'm afraid I cannot take a seat just yet, my friend. I have important business to attend to first." He replied.

With that he began walking the corridors attempting to find his CO, but he was intercepted in the halls by a messenger bearing an official private summons by the king. After reading it over Faero carefully agreed to it and bid Strom farewell, promising that he'd speak to him again as soon as this conversation with the king was over.

Upon reaching the Throne Room's massive double doors, he was called inside by a powerful voice. He opened the doors and stepped inside to find the new king waiting for him with a calm but subtly sinister smile on his face.

And something else began to happen...

As Faero approached, he felt pressure. The kind of pressure one feels when in the presence of a being of superior power. As an Elite and one of the strongest Saiyans around, Faero was not used to this kind of feeling as it was usually he who was causing it. But with every step towards the king he felt that pressure increase. And as he drew to a stop and knelt down before his ruler, as was customary, he could feel his hand trembling beneath him as it worked to hold him up.

"You may rise, Faero Faerari." The king said.

Faero rose and gave a bow of his head.

"My liege." He replied.

"... My king, Faerari. 'Liege' is not a version of the title of a ruler that I respect, and I refuse to be addressed as such."

Faero nodded.

"Apologies, my king."

"Forgiven. Now, report to me about what you encountered out there which caused the S.O.S. signal which we received."

"As you wish, my king." He said.

He took a breath.

"My squadron and I responded to a distress signal coming from Quadrant 73-Alpha, and as we were the closest unit we responded as soon as possible and raced to intercept the threat. When we landed, we were thrust into a battle we had next to no hope of winning. It was only sheer dumb luck that the enemy made enough mistakes that we were able to overpower them in the end." He said.

The King's left eye narrowed slightly, a sign he didn't believe what Faero was telling him or at least that he was suspicious of Faero's recollection.

"I barely escaped with my life, having lost my arm in the process. And I lost more than that. I lost most of my team including my sister Faeora who is now missing and presumed dead after stealing on board one of their vessels and chasing their retreating units into space. We haven't heard from her since."

The King's mouth curved into a slight frown as he stood up from his throne.

"Tell me, Faerari." He said calmly.

"What makes a warrior a warrior?" He asked as he slowly descended the steps leading towards Faero.

"A warrior is one who stands against adversity with pride, dignity, and the will to survive no matter the odds."

"Very good." The king replied with a slight smile.

He stood face to face with Faero, being about the same height, and reached out putting a hand on his good shoulder.

"Our race needs more like you, Faerari. That is why I shall henceforth appoint the Faerari Family as the king's personal assault squadron. You now answer directly to me, and nobody else. Is that clear?" He asked.

Faero was inwardly hesitant to make such a decision on his own, but the choice had been made for him so the only choice was to accept.

"Yes, my king."

'Excellent." He replied, removing his hand as he started walking back up the steps.

"Tell me, Faerari. Do you know the old legends of the Super Saiyan?" He asked.

"Of course, my king. All Saiyans know the tales."

"But did you know that there exists a power beyond that of a Super Saiyan?" He asked over his shoulder, giving Faero a rather wicked smirk.

"'Beyond' a Super Saiyan, my king?" He asked.

The king turned around and his smile grew as the entire palace began shaking beneath Faero's feet. The air around the king began to shimmer and sizzle with power as sparks of bio-electricity began shooting out in all directions shattering a few of the windows and cracking a few of the walls. The intensity of it all was overwhelming, and Faero was forced back down to one knee as he fought to retain his balance.

The sheer pressure of this power was beyond anything Faero had felt before, and as he continued to look on the King's aura appeared with a burst of wind and power before changing from a deep blue to an ominous yellow with a reddish interior. The king's hair began to spike up and out, and his eyes flashed teal as his hair turned a dark yellow color with red hihglights just like his aura. Finally the king let out one final burst of power and the transformation was complete. The air calmed and the building settled, but not before Faero was left awestruck at the new form the King presented.

His musculature had increased slightly, as did the muscle definition of what parts of the king's arms were visible from his short sleeves. The hair was nearly 3 inches longer than it was before and had become sharply pointed out almost as if it was fire caught in a gale-force wind and frozen in time. The aura of the king surged about him angrily almost as if it was alive, and Faero could feel the immense pressure given off by this power.

The king spread both arms out to the sides with open hands.

"This, Faerari, is the true power of a Super Saiyan. The pure golden glow of the ancient legends is nothing compared to this form. And it is with this form that I shall lead the Saiyan Race into a glorious future of dominion!" He announced proudly as he threw his head back and laughed.

"This is true power. This is true greatness. And this is what I intend to share with our race!" He yelled before looking back to Faero with a rather insane look in his eyes.

"Can you feel it Faerari? Can you feel the depth of this form's true potential? It's... Breathtaking, isn't it?" He asked.

He then powered down to his normal state, letting out a breath and smiling at Faero who was still awestruck.

"But before I can share this glorious vision of our future with the rest of our race, I need something. Or rather... Someone." He said.

He waved his hand and a holographic image of both Era and Valkyrie popped up between the two men.

"These two. Era Niir'lana and Valkyrie Urzen. They are the key to this future." He said.

Faero fought to regain his composure, taking slow and steady breaths before letting a final breath out on a sigh and straightening up.

"How do you mean, my king?" He asked, masterfully feigning ignorance of the situation.

"The two of them carry a mutation in their genetic code which removes the age-old Genetic Limiter our race has been burdened with. By acquiring the two of them and synthesizing enough of their blood to be used in blood transfusions for the rest of our race, we can effectively remove all limitations allowing our entire race to grow limitlessly!" He said with force and conviction.

"But first we have to find them. You wouldn't happen to have crossed paths with them at any point, have you?" He asked.

Faero shook his head.

"No, my king. I haven't seen them in almost two years since the last time they were deployed alongside my squadron."

"That is a shame," he began, walking up beside the two projections and reaching his hand out towards Valkyrie's cheek as if to stroke it like a lover.

"They are beautiful specimens, no? It's a shame we have to kill them." He said.

Faero was genuinely struck by this.

"Kill them? What for?" He asked.

"For their purpose, of course. The process of attaining enough blood to synthesize for the rest of our race will require all the blood their bodies possess. You can't live without blood pumping through your veins, so I'm afraid both of them will have to be sacrificed for the glory of our race's future." He said.

He then walked in-between the two women's projections, reaching out towards Era's face.

"But that is a ways out yet. Before that happens, once we locate them, I will take them both as my own. Our children will be the first to combine the powers of legends, and a new power will be born that surpasses all others!" He said, once again getting a rather insane smile on his face as he began to chuckle.

"Can you imagine, Faerari? The power of the original Super Saiyan combined with this form-" He powered back up to his darker Super Saiyan state instantly. "Can you imagine the possibilities? Can you imagine the power of our offspring? Just the thought makes me quiver in excitement!" He yelled.

The projections of the two women began to fade as the king powered down once more.

"Hah... But that is for another time as well. We still have to locate them first. So my first order to you and your family is to use whatever mean necessary to find them an return them to me. Once they have been returned home to fulfill their purpose, you and your family will be the first on the list for the blood transfusion in the future to be allowed limitless growth." He said with pride.

Faero was sickened inside, but nodded and feigned confidence in the king's words.

"Thank you, my king. Father will be most pleased to hear of this gift you intend to bestow on us." He said.

"Of course. Now you are dismissed. Good luck and... Please don't keep me waiting for good news. I hate waiting." He said ominously.

Faero bowed and left the room, nearly collapsing to one knee again in exhaustion. He didn't fight. He didn't exert himself. Nothing. But he was exhausted all the same. Could being in the presence of such power really have done so much of a number on him? He was an Elite! But then again, that power was not at all normal. When he was around Valkyrie, despite her incredible power he felt no such pressure... But then that probably wasn't a good thing. If Valkyrie returned now, even as a Super Saiyan, she likely would stand no chance against the king if they were to fight.

He shook himself off and began to return to where he promised to meet Strom. There was much to say in private between the two, and not a lot of time before he and his family would need to produce the progress the king sought from them if they were to stay alive.

Faero's home. A building within the Faerari complex. The clan boasted a sizeable estate, as most of the family members lived here, yet despite its size it kept with the simplistic white traditional saiyan architecture. Faero had been sure to leave Strom with access inside to wait for him. Inside, it was scarcely decorated. Favoring simple and practical over luxury and extravagant. He was an elite saiyan warrior, not some royal politician. Faero generally had better things to do than enjoy the spoils of battle at home. That said, he had welcomed his friend to make himself at home while he waited.

Today... it would serve it's purpose for Faero to discuss the important matters. With a whir, the door slid open and Faero walked in. Faero was left out of it at what he witnessed... not the dastardly ideals of the King, but it was the sheer power that rattled the usually unflappable Faero.

Hopefully Strom had made it here by now. Time was of the essence... Though Faero did not wish to get his friend involved in this dangerous affair... there was little choice. Strom was the only person that Faero believed could pull this off...

Pyro continued to dream as he healed...

The mysterious saiyan power grow greatly and his ki seemed... Far more intense. "So little demon how does it feel to witness the true power of a saiyan." the mysterious saiyan said. The he charged at Pyro and faster then he could react the saiyan punched him straight in the stomach. Pyro spit up some blood as the fist made a indent in Pyro's stomach.

"How... How can a monkey be stronger... Frost Demons are... Are the true strongest!" Pyro yelled as his power increased. Then before the saiyan could react Pyro punched straight across the face. Then he kneed him the stomach before spinning around and slamming his tail into the saiyan. The saiyan was launched into the ground.

As the saiyan hit the ground he created a crater with his impact. The saiyan spitted up blood as he did as well. Then with a smirk Pyro started charging up hi s attack...

"I wonder if he's having a good dream... I wonder if I'm in it..." The doctor said blushing a little before shaking her head and went back to monitoring Pyro's vitals on screen.
(I'm going keep going with his dream until he's healed or his crew can do something.)

Time could only tick onward for the weary crew.

The next morning Valkyrie had awoken with a lovely headache that felt like an axe in the back of her head, but was otherwise given a clean bill of health and doctor's orders to stay off her feet for the next day to really ensure her proper recovery. She hated that, but Era managed to convince her to see it through despite how she nearly went stir crazy by the early evening wanting to get up and train.

Elprede remained at large in the galaxy stretching his legs and tail and hadn't been heard from since, and a transmission from Jasmine gave a hint that he may not be returning to the group's company as the Nephelem was feeling rather concerned about the threat to his home world by the Darkhoods.

That thought in mind Era spent most of her day with Fae in a training facility owned and operated by the C'thilians, as the ship was now off limits while the engineers worked on it. Even the rejuvenation chamber had been moved out of the ship to the local clinic where the C'thilians also helped monitor Pyro's recovery.

Fae's progress was becoming apparent which made both Era and Fae quite proud. Even when fighting Fae with a power around 1.5x that of which Fae had access to Era had difficulty keeping her down and the advantage was traded regularly between the respective combatants.

By the late evening both women were absolutely spent but somehow managed to support each other long enough to head to the showers and then to their respective rooms provided by their hosts where Era promptly passed out with a content smile on her face.

And so the next morning arrived, and Pyro's recovery was nearing its completion. In a matter of minutes the alert would sound that he was free to exit the chamber. Meanwhile the C'thilians remained working on the ship and announced to Pyro's crew via their interpreters that they'd be working on it for another twelve days.

It was now up to the crew to decide how they'd spend the majority of their time. The C'thilians had ample training facilities throughout the planet for the Saiyans to satisfy their love of battle and training, and other wonderful amenities which Pyro and his crew could enjoy at their leisure. However they also had strict security everywhere, ensuring that Pyro's crew would have to remain on their best behavior. Pyro himself had free reign of the place as his power was so high that there was little to nothing the security could do to stop him if he felt like being a nuisance. About they only thing they could hope for was that Valkyrie would set him straight if he got out of line.

Pyro's crew shortly after having to leaving ship as it was being upgraded the crew began to explore the world. Some went off to train, others went off to learn, and most went to the bar to drink and relax. Some of the crew wanted to cause trouble at first but after more or less getting their butts handed to them the pirates became desent guess, not really good but desent. Then when the alert when out that Pyro was going be able to exit the healing chamber most of the crew rushed to his location, through only few were allowed in the build being the building couldn't fit all the crew members

Pyro began to slowly opening his eyes in the chamber as it was finishing it's job. A few second later the chamber began to open and once it was fully open Pyro climbed out as his crew who were able to come gave a raging round of applause. Pyro smirked before saying "Well its good to see you all. How the ship going in it's construction?".

"The C'thilians said it would take another twelve days captain." the first mate said.

"...What is their to do on this planet?"

A few minutes later the crew of pirates were in the bar having a drinking contest, with Pyro drinking all opponents under the table...

(With VM's permission, I am writing for Strom)

Strom had wished to accompany Faero to visit the King, but if it was a private summons there was nothing to be done. Instead he would wait where he knew Faero would return: his home.

Strom made his way to the Faerari estate and made his way to Faero's quarters where he took a seat in a spare chair near the window looking out over a decent section of the capital city Esetren. It was quite the view. You could only get a view like this when your family knew the right people, and the Faerari was about as esteemed as it got in Saiyan society.

He sipped a cup of water brought to him by one of the servants, and contemplated what must have been happening in the king's chambers. According to what he had heard, the new king altered the walls to prevent power levels from within being detected by Scouters as most of the Scouters would shatter into millions of pieces upon detecting his full power... Or so he claimed.

Was he truly that strong?

It wasn't long before Faero walked in and as Strom rose to greet him he paused upon seeing Faero's rather blank expression.

"What ails you Faerari? I don't believe I've ever seen you like this before." He said with concern.

D. Rex D. Rex

Faero walked across the blue floors of the foyer, he was immediately greeted by a servant who informed him of Strom's arrival. With a nod, he dismissed her, and asked for a few things to be brought to him. Without wasting any more time, he made his way to his room.

As he entered, he saw that Strom had made himself comfortable. Which was convenient because Faero decided to do the same. "I'm glad you are here. Excuse me for dispensing of the usual pleasantries..." he said as he sat himself down across from Strom at a small table. Faero did look quite tired.

"Fatigue." He answered, even if his condition was stable, his injury wasn't one that did not take its toll. Thankfully, the servant was quick in his request, and she set on the table a glass with a pitcher of water, with two white tablets sitting on a napkin.

"Thank you, Suri. Please make sure we have some privacy. I do not wish to be disturbed." He told her softly. She nodded and left the room.

Faero remained silent, taking this time to swallow the two pills and wash them down with some water. Once he felt the energies of the staff were a suitable distance away, he turned a serious gaze to Strom. He wanted to make sure what he said wouldn't be accidently or purposefully overheard.

"The King, Boli. I saw it first hand. His aura brought me to my knees. He is indeed a Super Saiyan. Beyond what I have seen before." He started off. But his tone came off as more distressed than impressed.

"My mission to protect the planet was a failure. We were set upon by Darkhoods. While we fended them off for a time, I lost most of my team, and my arm. We would have died if not for the arrival of Valkyrie. I saw her reach levels of over a hundred million. She took out everyone. She saved us."

"After we went aboard her shuttle, I later learned she and Era both had reached levels of power well beyond that of any normal saiyan. They have bypassed their limiter gene. And Valkyrie has become a Super Saiyan. Era, too, I am sure is capable of becoming one as well. I left them soon after, to return to Methann and give my report. I left my sister in their care, and by sharing their blood, she too bypassed the limiter gene. I watched Fae rise to levels beyond usual in one day."

"I need not tell you the significance of this... but I will anyway. Era and Valkyrie herold in the next rise of saiyan evolution. And even just by mixing their blood, it is possible to bypass the limiter. To what extent, I don't yet know. But the King knows this as well. And he wants to use this to bring about the future he desires."

"He wants Valkyrie and Era. He will breed them himself, by force if nessecary, and crelate the next generation under his control. Then when he has used them up, or has gotten however many children he deems fit, he will drain them of their blood and divvy it out amongst those he finds worthy. Already he his culling the saiyan race, outright killing all of us he sees as weak and unworthy."

"The King is a monster. And we can not allow him a hand in the future of our race, let along in control of our people. Many of our people are going to suffer and die at his hand, and countless more will be wiped out."

With a sigh, Faero leaned back in his chair, "I was able to convince the King that I did not know of them, and that Fae went missing after boarding a Darkhood shuttle. Remember this. You will need to to ensure my cover. The King has appointed the Faerari family as his personal hand. We work solely for him now, and answer only to him. As such, he has tasked us with finding Valkyrie and Era and to bring them back. If he learns otherwise, my family will be wiped from existence, as well, any advantage I can offer them by being close to him will be gone."

"Right now, Valkyrie and Era and a frost demon among them, Captain Pyro, are the only hope we have at saving the saiyan race. I would go if I could, but i am more help here. So it is why I must to ask you, to help me. I trust you more than anyone else, and it would not be as noticeable if you went missing. Furthermore, they need your mind and wisdom. I need you to find them, and warn them of this development. To let them know they have no chance against him as they are now. He isn't JUST a super saiyan. He is something else. He overshadows even the super saiyan form of Valkyrie. And if they do not think they can beat him, they need to run as far away as possible. The King can not get his hands on either of them. I would sooner see Methann fall and be destroyed under his wrath than the consequences that his future would entail."

"This is a lot to ask, I know. But you are the only person I can trust with this."
He finished. Waiting for either confirmation or rejection before he continued.

Strom was speechless. The entire story was beyond his immediate comprehension. The King being a Super Saiyan, or something worse. Era and Valkyrie having powers breaching the millions when they'd been such humbly mid-tier warriors before. The Darkhoods, whatever those were.

It all felt like some kind of strange nightmare being described rather than a story of what was true and happening in this universe.

But Strom never had a reason to doubt Faero before, so he wasn't about to start now.

"I can't pretend to understand this Faero... All this talk of powers in the millions from two women I know and have met before who were nowhere near as powerful as either of us for as long as I can remember. It's a lot to take in." He said, sipping at his water.

"But if what you say is true, and I've no reason to doubt that it is, then it sounds like there is more going on than even you can relay to me. These "Darkhoods," or whatever you call them. If they could take your arm from you and kill most of your team then they sound like very dangerous adversaries. I will keep them in mind and not take them lightly." He said, putting his now empty cup down on the table.

He cracked his neck.

"I agree with you, however, about sooner letting Metahnn fall than be subject to this madman's whims."

He approached Faero and put his hand on his shoulder.

"I will see to your sister's safety, and relay what you have heard from the king to both Valkyrie and Era. My best to you, my old friend. Keep your head down and stay safe. I will give my best for your sister as well as Valkyrie and Era until I know better what is to be done regarding their powers and whether or not it seems we have a chance to return and reclaim our home world from this tyrant." He said.

He stepped back and gave a clasp of his fist over his heart and then gave Faero a firm handshake before departing immediately for the Launch Bay. With his beacon homed in on that of Era and Valkyrie's favorite Scouter IP's, as well as the coordinates Faero gave him of their last known location, Strom launched out into the void on a collision course with the still waiting party on the outpost planet of the C'thilians. What he would find waiting for him when he arrived, he could only guess as he put himself into a chemically induced hibernation until such a time as his ship located the IP's of Era and Valkyrie's Scouters.

D. Rex D. Rex ChazGhost ChazGhost Retro-Grey Retro-Grey (Chaz, you can skip us ahead the twelve days to the ship's completion and give Pyro's reaction to the new and improved vessel. After you do that I'll set up the main idea of what's going to happen next.)

Twelve days later...

"This is... This is a master piece" Pyro said looking at his knew and improved ship. Like a kid in a candy store Pyro rushed into the ship and headed straight to the new training room. As he did through a light came out from a panel from a door near Pyro.

The light turned out to be hologram head (A blue version of :D). "HIYA! I'm this ships new AI and by my biological analyst you must be the captain of this ship or as my creator called you (Insert bug noise)" The blue hologram said smiling widely at Pyro.

"...What does that mean?" Pyro asked.

"
You don't want to know. Anyway my programmed name is (Insert bug noise) which in your language means Alph." The hologram said.

"I see... And your only program to do what I say right?"

"
Of course!"

"Good, through their some function my crew may need to use from you. I'll get you a list of who to listen to and to what end to listen them for." Pyro said as the hollow gram nodded. "So were is the training chamber?". The Hollow gram turned into a arrow and pointed in the direction of the chamber. Pyro headed in that direction to began some training.

A lot happened for Era and Valkyrie over the twelve days that they'd waited for the upgrade to be made to Pyro's ship. The C'thilian training grounds were basically the same as the new room which could alter the atmosphere and environment to best suit the species which entered, and Era made the most of it along with Fae and Valkyrie.

Era and Valkyrie especially made the most of their opportunity during this down time. Era was insistent on tasting the power of Valkyrie's Super Saiyan form for herself despite the dangers it presented. Valkyrie at first protested, but Era won the day and earned her shot at taking on Valkyrie's Super Saiyan power.

It happened on the third day of down time that the match took place in the C'thilian training grounds. Everyone was cleared from the room save for the two combatants leaving them free to fight to their full potential. Valkyrie transformed right away, and the pressure of her aura alone had Era's body shaking in anticipation.

But it was Valkyrie's eyes which actually managed to strike fear into Era's heart as she really got a good close up look at her Super Saiyan form. Those piercing turquoise eyes bored a hole straight through Era's bravado and struck her in the depths of her heart. Even though Valkyrie was calm and composed her eyes betrayed a sense of primal aggression and ferocity which had Era genuinely trembling.

However she did not allow this to stop her. Afraid or not, Era powered up to her maximum of 7.8 million and attacked Valkyrie with all of her might.

At first Valkyrie barely did anything except small shifts in body posture to evade Era's attacks, but slowly she began to introduce more aggressive means of fighting back such as using her shoulder to bump Era off her primary angle of attack or her tail to flick Era away when she tried to attack from behind. The one sided nature of the bout was striking. Era was subtly more powerful than Valkyrie when in their base form, yet Valkyrie's Super Saiyan power was more than enough to completely turn the tables on her.

The bout didn't last much longer after that though. Valkyrie finally had enough and gave Era a single punch to the stomach which drained her of her vitality and will to fight. It also managed to take a sizable chunk of her power out as well. The bout was called to an end, and Valkyrie returned to her normal state and helped Era to her feet before they took off to enjoy some lunch.

The days continued to pass with the Saiyans enjoying regular training in the atmosphere of Metahnn, perfectly simulated by the C'thilian technology. But this also brought a sense of homesickness for the Saiyans as well. The scent of their home world's atmosphere in the training room brought back memories and fear of what was happening right now. Did they still have a home world to return to? If they did, just what had become of it?

When the twelve days were over Era, Valkyrie, and Fae were relaxing near the training facility when Pyro made his way to his newly upgraded ship and began going through to see everything and test out the new AI which had been installed. During that time, Era looked to Valkyrie and shrugged. Valkyrie responded with a shrug of her own and leaned her head back to enjoy the sun overhead.

Meanwhile, out in space... Strom's ship was rapidly approaching the sector where the others were. He was still about two days away, but it would not be long now.

((EDIT))

Era and Valkyrie had spoken to Faeora about a number of things during this down time between training sessions, and chief among them was what to do about Faero. Having had him return home by himself was a risky venture. Especially when one considered who the new king was. A Darkhood.

But against all odds they had chosen to remain glued to Faero's plan or staying away from Metahnn unless Faero communicated otherwise. He had sent a communication that Strom was on his way, so the team was expecting his arrival. And they were expecting a debrief about what Faero had related about the king's desires for a change in the Saiyan Race's future and the direction they were heading.

Era and Valkyrie wer quite nervous to hear what Strom had to say, but there were two days left before he arrived. They asked Pyro to wait to allow him time to arrive, and he had agreed on the condition that the Saiyans stay off the ship until after Strom's arrival as Pyro wanted plenty of time to figure out his new ride without any interference or disturbances. The Saiyans agreed and took up temporary residence with the C'thilians to give Pyro his space, and as they waited for Strom's arrival they discussed the Super Saiyan power Valkyrie now held and how it might be attained by the other two.

Era in particular was actually beginning to fear the power of the Super Saiyan, though she kept this largely to herself. Valkyrie's presence and the sheer pressure of the power she held as a Super Saiyan was overwhelming and downright frightening. Era felt it first during her sparring session with Valkyrie, and again when she watched Valkyrie transform to train by herself for a few hours. Era thought the Super Saiyan form itself was beautiful with the gleaming golden hair and turquoise eyes, but the power and potential it held as well as the pressure of the aura had her very concerned about just how far the power could be pushed.

For now the three women were intent on figuring out how best to use Valkyrie's power to help them move forward. Omnizwart was a new threat to worry about, but the Darkhoods were still their primary adversaries. However they knew that even Valkyrie's power was barely enough to win the day against one of their lesser Captains such as Death. Through sheer willpower Valkyrie pushed her power as a Super Saiyan to new heights throughout the battle and managed to earn a victory, but there was no telling when the Super Saiyan would make its limits clear. If it did in the midst of a difficult battle, then it was almost certain that hope would be lost.

For now the team was idle and waiting for Strom to arrive, as they needed to know more about what was going on back on Metahnn before they figured out their next move.

((Retro-Grey, you can skip us forward those two days to Strom's arrival and begin engaging the three Saiyans in conversation whenever you're ready.))

Strom woke up early, about a day early. His body was stiff and aching for more extraneous movement. It's been too long since he fully stretched his muscles. He also didn't know much of what he should take down from the ship for when he departs. Strom had always been one to plan ahead, but those actions were never met with some sort of stall like this one. He was about to meet saiyans, far more powerful than any other he has met, so this lapse in decision was well founded.

Soon the day had come, Strom's ship had landed. Even though he could sense the other's ki, namely Fae's since it shared a similarity to Faero's, he brought along his new model green scouter in order to test some of his own theories. However, since Strom didn't want to give off the appearance of being a threat, he donned his training gi. The set of clothes was given to him by the Zuccins, a very spiritual, and mostly peaceful, race.

His top was a sleeveless garb, colored a medium purple, that exposed a bit of his chest, while tied to his waist was a yellow cloth belt. His pants matched his shirt in color, while he kept on his standard white training boots and wristbands that matched his belt. He then grabbed his knapsack, and left.

"Am I tapped into the right frequencies?" Strom asked himself as he fixed his scouter onto his left ear, all he could hear was static. He began to slowly glide in the direction he sensed the strongest ki signature. Finally, he found a frequency that wasn't white noise.

"Hello? My name is Strom, and I come with news from Faero Faerari. I will be arriving at your position shortly, where we could hopefully talk peacefully," He said, his finger pressing the transmit button located on his scouter.

While he waited for a response, he started to jot down notes on what he knew about the situation. The Super Saiyan Legend was true, but there was a lot more to do with it then Strom had expected. Luckily, he was the lead researcher on Saiyan history, since he was one of the only saiyans who cared about their heritage.

Strom had already made a consensus to study Valkyrie and Era as much as he could, he never really knew them on a personal level but he knew of their capabilities as saiyans, and even if they were capable of killing him in seconds, Strom was still their senior. And any honorable saiyan, respects their elders. Even if Strom was only a year older than Valkyrie.

The large ki signature was closer so Strom decided to close the distance as fast as he could. He arrived shortly after at a facility. His eyes scanning the surroundings before heading in the direction he sensed the ki.

Era and Valkyrie were waiting in the lobby of one of the C'thilian Trade buildings when they felt Strom's presence nearby. They could sense his landing and his approach once his Scouter found their location and guided him to them. Since they had the highest base power levels on the planet, it wasn't hard for him to single them out.

As he approached they both stood up, looking to Fae who was with them as well, and walked outside as Strom began to approach the building.

As soon as they were outside, they greeted him in typical Saiyan fashion for younger to elder. A single salute and a 45 degree bow at the waist with eyes down at the ground before straightening back up.

"Good afternoon Strom. It's been a long time, hasn't it?" Era asked pleasantly.

Valkyrie gave him another nod of her head.

"What news from Faero do you bring us?" She asked, getting directly to the point.

Strom smiled at the sight of such familiar faces, "It has Era, too long in fact."

He turned his attention to Valkyrie. Strom never thought that she would be the one to reach such a high level of power, it didn't matter though, she had, and now Strom's studies could hail new research.

"Our King is villainous, he is power hungry, and he is powerful enough to be so apparently. He has hopes to breed you, Era, Valkyrie, to bypass the Saiyan Limiter. Faero also claims that the tyrant has a power beyond that of a Super Saiyan... A much fiercer darker one" Strom recalled what he was told by Faero.

The lone male looked on at the women before him, it felt strange to match faces he has seen before with power levels that rival a mere legend.

"You understand as much as I do at this point. Now, if you all don't mind, I need to assess your current capabilities. I don't know first hand what our King is truly capable of, but how strong you are now is not nearly enough to stand on equal footing," Strom stated.

Strom placed his scouter into his knapsack and swung it over his shoulder once more, he let out a sigh before addressing the trio once more, "Fae, I want you to know that your family is safe, but they are working for the King now. Contact with them would not be wise. We are truly isolated now. It is best this way... Now would the lovely Valkyrie demonstrate the power of the Super Saiyan?"

ChoShadow ChoShadow D. Rex D. Rex ChazGhost ChazGhost

Era and Valkyrie were both rather disheartened to hear of what had become of their home. A new king with power "beyond" a Super Saiyan? Something "darker" and "more fierce" than a Super Saiyan? Was such a thing possible?

If Strom was saying it, they had no reason to doubt him.

"I can hardly imagine a power beyond a Super Saiyan, but then again we've met a God so I cannot say that it's impossible." Era remarked.

Valkyrie nodded.

"Indeed... A power beyond a Super Saiyan." She whispered to herself.

Strom then asked to see Valkyrie's Super Saiyan power, so she considered it a moment.

"Follow me." She said.

She then led Strom up into the sky to around 500 feet in elevation before turning around to face him.

She was relaxed at first, but as she began drawing further upon her power her face contorted into an expression of exertion of vast amounts of energy. Her brow furrowed, her nose scrunched slightly, her teeth bared, and her hands clenched tightly into fists at her sides as the air around her began to take on a heat-wave like shimmer.

It sizzled and crackled as she began to let out a long yell of effort, pulling deeper and deeper from the wells of her power before the air burst to life around her. Her flaming red aura appeared, engulfing Strom and much of the surrounding space in a veil of crimson fury. The air cracked and began loosing streaks of bio-electricity as Valkyrie's body began transforming.

First her muscles. They bulged a moment before returning to normal, and did this repeatedly for a few seconds before they bulged one last time and remained that way. Her hair began flowing out behind her much more aggressively and took a more solid form with numerous long whip-like spikes in thick locks behind her. Her previously calm violet eyes began taking on that turquoise hue, and before long her hair and tail began flashing with that signature golden light.

But a moment later Valkyrie shrieked in fury as her energy exploded outward causing a single gust of hurricane-forcec wind to spread in all directions around her. But all at once, the world calmed. Valkyrie floated in place engulfed in a shimmering golden aura while her eyes remained locked onto Strom.

The once calm and softly featured face of Valkyrie was now replaced by that of a warrior with a terrifyingly ferocious bearing. It was as if the Super Saiyan form sucked all warmth and kindness from her heart, replacing it with anger and aggressive impulse. Looking into her eyes, it would be hard to believe it was the same woman as before the transformation.

"Are you satisfied?" She asked.

The difference in power levels was enormous, it was more than impressive. Strom, however, was noticeably uneasy. He kept eye contact with the now golden haired woman, analyzing her at a distance before hovering a bit closer to her.

He grabbed her arm and lifted it, examining her as best he could at a glance. "You're tense. You're angrier. You seem... more animalistic."

Strom backed up from her a bit and lifted her chin this time to examine her further while he began making his point, "You won't get far feeding off of anger. This amazing ability you've achieved, will be worth next to nothing if you can't learn to control it... If you let it change that heart of yours. But that alone might take years, even if you are willing to sacrifice everything, even if you try your hardest."

He let go of her chin and hovered away, getting one last glance before he pulled out his scouter. "I was stuck on Zuccin for a little over a year, and I learned there the importance of many many things. I grew mentally as well as physically, and that's what you need to do. This form is obviously reliant off of your ki, so you need to spend as much time as possible controlling your ki."

Strom activated his scouter, letting the scanner take in Valkyrie's biometric data. "Whether you choose to train your mind, or train your body is up to you. As well as the choice of whether to evade our King's pursuit, or address him head on. I can only offer advice, it's your choice whether or not to take it."

ChoShadow ChoShadow D. Rex D. Rex ChazGhost ChazGhost

Valkyrie remained still while Strom examined her, though she was clearly uncomfortable with him touching her as her face contorted slightly more each time he laid his hands on her. When he gave his final comments, she made a "tch" sound.

"It was my fury which pushed me to reach this power, and I am well aware of the risks that fighting on anger brings," she said as she powered down back to her base form.

"I appreciate your concern, but I will be fine. Even then I was as calm as I could be otherwise. The power of the Super Saiyan makes me look like I'm driven by anger, but it is not so. At least I don't feel it is." She remarked as she closed her eyes.

"Every time I transform, I recall Era's brief dance with death and the pain which witnessing it caused me. I see her face in my mind as clear as day. Her eyes going grey as the life drained from her body. Tears still gently flowing down her cheeks because of the amount of pain she was in. And her arm falling to the ground as she reached out to me, telling me silently with her eyes as her last breath escaped her lips that she loved me as her sister before passing from this world before my eyes."

As Valkyrie's eyes closed a bit more tightly, she didn't realize that her power was beginning to swell. Her Ki was flowing about her once more, and the golden aura was gently beginning to make a return though it was very subdued compared to before. It flowed about her like calm water, almost caressing her. It was as if the power of the Super Saiyan was trying to comfort her which, in and of itself, was a beautiful yet terrifying thought.

... Was the Super Saiyan power itself alive in some way? Did it have a metaphysical conscience? Some method of reaching out to its bearer? Was that why it seemed that Valkyrie was so primal and driven by rage when in the form? Because she was in some way lulled into thinking that the power itself was harmless and that she was somehow in control?

"That's why I'll be fine... Because I remember every time I transform what I am fighting for."

Her eyes were still shut tight, and the golden aura began to grow a bit more intense. No longer was it calm like water. It began to churn like a softly gusting wind flickering out and away from her in small bursts.

Era's fists slowly clenched at her sides as she tensed in response to this change.

For Faeora, it was hard for her to say if the the time she spent training was productive or not... Technically, yes it was. As she came ever closer to breaching one million after her frequent training with Era. Yet, on several occasions, Fae insisted she train by herself. After all, Era couldn't possibly be getting much with Fae. She needed time with Valkyrie. During these times, Fae took herself to the more rural areas, where she could experiment. Namely with her ki anchor. Since she didn't have a wide variety of techniques, she figured this night be something she could developed into something else, as per a spark of inspiration she had gotten a few weeks ago.

Up until now, Fae had mainly used it for defensive purposes. She wanted to push it further. Which was a simple concept, pooling the ki and releasing it all at once. Yet it was a bit more difficult in practice, as the ki "pressure" was quite hard to hold onto, not to mention channeling it all through her at once was quite taxing.

Yet, as she played around with it, the sessions mostly consisting of powering up and down, up and down... she reflected on other matters... what she could do to get stronger. Not just training... defeatist as it may seem, simply training would not help her catch up, and she still didn't believe that she would be much help at her current strength, not with them so far ahead of her. (Not that this would stop her from trying) She had to push herself further. Harder. However... she remembered back to the time she hated to remember... and she was reminded of the words of the master. Well... not clearly remembered... but something along the lines of growing slow meant growing strong, while one may not grow big, the roots grow sturdy... stupid plant... still it was a lesson she had to begrudgingly accept as she had no choice back then.

Sturdy... she was at least that... but even slow growing plants had to break through the surface of the earth at some point. To break through... she wanted to break through... but also to be unbreakable... she had told Elprede that... she remembered him. And that form he took during the fight with the death Squad guys... was that his Mazunokari? He made it look so effortless. But from what she saw, it was so powerful. She envied to be able to multiply her strength like her could. But alas, according to Era, it was unsustainable.

This was something that Fae wouldn't question, she trusted Era's analysis on the matter... besides... if it was that unstable of a technique for a saiyan, it was no good to Fae. But that did beg the question... why COULDN'T a saiyan do something similar? There bodies were different, as well as their ki flows... but the concept surely couldn't be a foreign one. After all, when using certain techniques, ones ki can be multiplied for a brief instant.

From that point on, during that day, Fae forgot she was there to train, and had zoned out until dusk, just stating off into space. Thinking. Not on the past, or what she couldn't do... but something that she could do to propel herself forward. And figuring out how to make it happen.

The next day, she had tried to put some of it into practice. In a sense... pushing herself to the limit trying to keep up with Era during a particular training session. Prodding herself to go further. According to Era, Era was the one who was trying to keep up. While it was claimed that Era was going at about 1.5x Fae's power level, Fae insisted that Era's calculations were off.

This was where things started to get unproductive, according to Fae. As after that training session. She didn't feel very good. Like, she felt outright horrible. Sore. Tired. Winded. In fact, she more or less slept the rest of the day. The next day, she just felt weak. As during a few exercises, she couldn't quite bring herself to reach that peak she was at during that sparring.

Fae chalked it up to she had pushed herself too hard and was paying for it today. So today... she did something she rarely ever did. She took the day off. Completely off. No stretches. No mental gymnastics. No meditation. No powering up. Not even allowing herself to think bad thoughts. And it sucked... it wasn't long before Fae started to get a little stir crazy.

Present

Well, at least Valkyrie and Era were taking a break too, and the company helped take her mind off of not doing anything. Fae laid on her back on some moss, taking a few bites from previously laminated strip of dried something meat. Thinking of what Pyro was doing right now, or what she should do today. Maybe visit the chil'thians or pester the Captain. Hanging with Era and Valkyrie would just make her want to train.

So perhaps it was good fortune that the signal came when it did, and Strom soon thereafter.

Strom... while she didn't know him personally, she knew he was one of her brothers most trusted compatriots. So when he arrived, she gave her salute and bow as he regaled to them news from Metaahn. As if the news of the king being a monster wasn't bad enough, the thought of Era and Valkyrie being turned into breeding stock put a vigorous scowl on Fae's face.

When he addressed her and told her that her family was safe, she released a pent up breath she didn't know she was holding.

As Strom moved onto to accessing Valkyrie, Fae once more got to watch her friend turn into a super saiyan. Even after seeing a time or two already, it was still something that took Fae's breath away. There was such power there, and it felt so different from what the others could achieve.

Fae didn't have much to add, nor could she say much about Stroms analysis of Valkyrie. She had not quite witnessed enough to chime in with anything valuable.

However there was one thing she could comment about. "If Faero claims that the King is stronger than Valkyrie, then that is definitely something to take into consideration as he has already witnessed her during her blonde moments. He wouldn't say something like that if he believed they were fairly even." She said, then looked at Valkyrie,"Not to mention, we have already seen that a super saiyan can be disrupted. While that is something we can use against the King... he has happens to have a whole planet of warriors at his command, and who knows however many other minions he has under his thumb. And with fighter like Death and the guy Pyro laid to waist are any indication, I don't think that even if she was even with him, that a wrench wouldn't be thrown into whatever plans we make."

After first testing the new training chamber for himself for the for a day and having his new AI ,Alph, tell him about the features of the training chamber. After getting a good feeling for the chamber the next day he brought in his students, Disco, Alice, and Jaws. "Time to get today's training going, So welcome to a all new hell." Pyro said standing in front of his students. The three gulped at once when after hearing Pyro's words. All through that day Pyro made them do laps around the chamber as they fire ki blast at holographic targets, spar against him, and a lot more.

After finishing that day's training he decided to let them rest the next day or well he had no choice because they were drop dead exhausted. So Pyro decided he would relaxed today and maybe even read a good book while drinking some wine... But in the middle of his relaxation Alph voice rang through his room. "Captain I just got a tremendous power level reading from Valkyrie. I believe she just went super sayain... And now she normal... Never mind." Alph said picking Valkyries transformation.

Pyro gave a deep sigh as he got up. "Well sense my peace has already been broken I might as well see what is going on. Send the coordinates of the reading to my scouter." Pyro said putting his scouter on before leaving his room and soon after the ship. Soon after he made to the location where the four sayains gathered. Noticing their was a new sayain Pyro called out "So who's the new monkey?" as he floated above them.

Era kept her eyes on Valkyrie as she observed the crimson haired Saiyan. Valkyrie's eyes were still shut and her fists clenched at her sides as the golden aura flared softly about her in what felt like a threatening manner. It was as if it was warning Era and the others to stay away until Valkyrie gave them permission to approach or something.

Finally Era had had enough. She reached out and grabbed Valkyrie's arm.

"Val!" She yelled.

Valkyrie's eyes snapped open and the golden aura faded.

Valkyrie was in something of a daze, glancing at Era uncertainly as she took in a few breaths.

"I-... What did I do?" She asked.

Era gently pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay Val. You didn't do anything, but your power was beginning to run away from you." She said softly.

"What do you mean?" Valkyrie asked.

"You didn't feel yourself powering up?" Era asked.

Valkyrie shook her head.

"No... I thought... I thought I had everything under control."

Era pulled back a bit and looked at Valkyrie with concern.

"You began to power up Val. The golden aura of the Super Saiyan was about you. I feared you would transform again without warning." She said.

Valkyrie took a breath and shook her head.

"... No. I won't." She affirmed.

Era smiled and hugged her again before backing away a few steps.

"Well Strom? What do you make of it?" She asked.

If anyone knew what Valkyrie was going through right now it would be Strom. Even if he wasn't a Super Saiyan, or anywhere close yet, his knowledge of Saiyan legends and history was second to none. A scholar in his own right.

Era and the others didn't know it, but the legends did say that long ago the power of the Super Saiyan would take hold of the original owner of that power and cause him to run wild. Sometimes he would even force himself into Great Ape form without the help of a Full Moon, and the ape would sport the same golden fur as that of the hair of the Super Saiyan.

When such occurrences took place, nobody was safe. The sheer magnitude of power during such an instance was so great it caused the Super Saiyan Great Ape to lose all conscious control of itself. And with its power being so great, entire solar systems could be erased in a matter of hours.

Valkyrie needed to learn to control the power of the Super Saiyan, and fast. If she didn't, that power would begin to take hold and turn her into something... else.

Faeora turned to the frost demon as he arrived. Her arms still crossed, "His name is Strom, Captain Pyro." She answered. "He is a close and trusted friend of my brother, and an adept scholar. Commander Faero sent him here from Methann. The communication that he said would come." She explained.

"He brought us some bad news. Confirmation that the current King of Metahn is a maniac. And that he wants to lay fervent claim to Val and Era's babymakers, most likely by force, and breed himself a new generation of Saiyans not beholden by the limiter gene." She said, sounded disgusted at the very thought.

"He also reports that Faero has witnessed his power. He has achieved a dark power beyond a super saiyan, stronger even than Valkyrie." She finished, bringing Pyro up to date on what has been reported so far.

She was distracted by that feeling from Valkyrie. It was something to be wary of, and Fae probably would have taken a step back if Era hadn't snapped her out of it. Fae gave Val a concerned look, but didn't say anything in the matter, satisfied that Era had said enough.

Fae looked back to Pyro. "Given what I know of the King. He wants to send the saiyan race a new direction. And that direction, especially if he has his way, will likely put you out of business. If he has been so ruthless with his own people, I don't imagine he would act respectably of competitors." She said in a grim tease.

Pyro listened to Fae and looked at Strom more closely as Fae introduced him. But when Fae said that the new Saiyan king wanted to make Valkyrie and Era his baby mommas basically, Pyro could barely stop from laughing. But he did and listened to the rest of what Fae had to say. "So your new king is more of a dictator then? Well chalk up another reason why Frost Demons are better. Our empress maybe a cold hearted b**** but she knows not to mess with dark forces as it seems your king is doing... And she doesn't force other to have her children" Pyro said smirking to himself.

"Anyways I don't see how this nut will effect my job, other than having you bunch on my ship of course. I'm a pirate captain so the chaos he causes will just make it easier for me and my crew to make bucks. Be it scavenging of destroyed battle fields or stealing from weaken force that just finished battle. The only reason I have to hate is because he is monkey that is possible stronger than me." Pyro said before think for a moment. Then he look to Strom and asked "Do you know how he got this... dark super saiyan power? I mean the red dirty monkey had to watch Era die to become a normal super saiyan so something had to happen for him to get a simlir power, right?".

((Sorry for forcing Strom along again Retro-Grey Retro-Grey , but I want to keep the RP moving ahead at a solid clip.)

Valkyrie glared at Pyro out of the corner of her eye for his comments, but said nothing.

Era, meanwhile, seemed more interested in what their King had become. A Super Saiyan-like power, but "beyond" that of Valkyrie's already unfathomable might. It was hard to imagine such a state existed for Saiyans. What could be stronger than the legendary Super Saiyan which was strong enough that it caused a God to destroy itself in ages past?

Strom had the answers.

"I can't answer any questions about the King's current state, but I can answer a few about Valkyrie's power." He began.

"The power of the Super Saiyan is thought to have been a living metaphysical entity all its own. It had a conscience. Ancient scripts tell of instances where other Super Saiyans of the past felt they heard a "whisper" from deep within. A whisper which coerced them. Seduced them. And drove them to make decisions with varying degrees of consequences. Sometimes this whisper was benign. Sometimes malign. Some Super Saiyans of the past helped the Saiyan Race protect itself and push themselves forward towards the future, while others brought destruction and war with them everywhere they went." He continued.

He glanced to Valkyrie.

"The original Super Saiyan was of the latter, to the best of my research. Though he was not inherently evil, he did make some very villainous decisions "for the greater good" of our race. Of course the validity of these claims and ancient writings cannot be confirmed, but if even a tenth of them are true then the dangers of this "whisper" which exists within the Super Saiyan power are not to be ignored. You must be very, very careful Valkyrie. If you let that void lead you astray, it could mean the death of us all." He said solemnly.

Era frowned.

"Surely there's more to it than just that, right? Don't the legends or writings say anything more?" She asked.

Strom shook his head.

"Sadly no. All information about this "whisper" has either been obscured or lost entirely. The information I've given you is about all we have on it. Our race isn't known for its desire to ask questions you know. We're more known for our desire to grow stronger and test our limits, so it should surprise no one to know that information regarding this rather controversial whisper is limited." He said.

Era sighed.

"Sorry Era. You are more curious than most, and I'd love to engage your questions and provide answers, but I simply cannot. Not with the limited amount of information we currently have. It's too dangerous to make assumptions based on nothing but conjecture, and although we all trust Valkyrie to do the right thing I think it should be very clear to all of us that at any time this whisper could make itself known to her and nudge her in either the right or wrong direction. We need to be ready for either instance. The more Valkyrie herself knows about this," he said as he glanced to her.

"The more she knows, the more prepared she'll be to determine what exactly the whisper wants from her. If it's benign and urges her to do the right thing, then we have nothing to worry about. But if it's malign and tries to seduce her into using twisted logic to do little other than push her own power forward while destroying anything that could presumably pose a threat to her..." He said, trailing off.

Valkyrie heaved a heavy sigh.

"So in short: Until I hear this "whisper," you should all presume to be in danger. Is that about right?" She asked.

Strom sighed and nodded his head.

"Unfortunately yes. Most legends depict the Super Saiyan as the ultimate righteous power, but my exhaustive research has revealed otherwise. If there's any chance that your power could turn against us for any reason, we should be prepared for it."

Era scratched her head.

"This is all a bit much..." She said.

Strom nodded.

"Indeed. We will leave it at that for now. As I understand it you all want to depart this planet now that Pyro's ship is repaired and ready to leave, correct? Let's go ahead and leave. The sooner we do, the sooner I can continue my research on the subject and, hopefully, find something that Valkyrie can use to steel herself for when the whisper finally makes itself known."

"There's one more thing." Valkyrie said.

Strom glanced to her expectantly.

"We need to unlock your genetic limiter. Pyro's old ship synthesized our blood when we drew it for Fae, so we should have enough to give you a solid transfusion and unlock your genetic limiter. You need to start training as soon as you can so you can build your power up and not be useless when and next we are attacked. We all know that we will be, sooner or later. Best you be prepared for it."

Strom was about to speak but silenced himself by heaving a slow sigh. He then nodded, not really wanting to substitute research for training, but he knew Valkyrie was right. Their enemies had power in the millions now, and his was still only in the 5 digit range. He had to get to at least a high six digit level to not be a burden, so it was time to get back into training mode.

Something else the C'thilians revealed shortly before they left was that they actually placed three identical training rooms in Pyro's ship despite his initial desire for just one. They knew the group would need them given who had attacked their world.

They were all fairly small in size, being around 32,000 cubit feet, or 40' long by 40' wide by 20' tall in their dimensions. However their walls were Ki-proof and highly impact resistant, so despite their small size their atmospheric alterations would provide more than a safe and and durable enough environment to allow fantastic training results for all parties concerned.

This would allow pyro and his crew to do their training while the Saiyans could do theirs separately at the same time and nobody would be left sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for their chance to get in on the training action.
