News April Rules Updates

Good changes. I feel like this is a gray area on too many sites. I personally would have preferred a harder line on uncredited images, but then it's not like these images are being used for commercial purposes anyway. Same with BBCode (not that I care much, since I release everything into the public domain anyway).

I don't actually advertise in any shit but, the new rules are cool.

Wow. Still no rules from the mods on protecting the Rebel Alliance's political stances from the Imperial regime's censorship. It's clear whose side they've taken.

I have a question! How do the rules regarding encouraging artist credit and restricting off-site linking interact?

For example I'd like to credit a fanartist but the blog where they post all their work is on tumblr. Would it be OK to link to the tumblr in that case since the intent isn't to gain followers but to credit the artwork? Or should I just stay kind of vague with it and say "oh this art is by so and so on tumblr"?
The link is fine, particularly if you can use a link that goes specifically to that piece of art.

What about profile pictures? How would one credit those, if it weren't original artwork?
I put mine in the Information section of my profile (although I couldn't find a link this time, so I just listed the website I know it was on).
