Welcome to the Jungle

Dylexia finally exhaled the green smoke from her slightly parted lips, silently listening to the Lich reply to her. She was astonished that he would actually give her his name and his title, which seemed to be a priest no less. 'Alkathos?' She had heard this name before, not exactly sure where she heard it, maybe it was one of the many whispers she heard throughout the jungle since making it her home. Drawing her attention back to him, she gave a polite smile and spoke. "Well it's only natural to give my name after you gave me your own. You may call me Dylexia, nothing more nothing less. No major title either, just your humble crazy jungle lady I suppose." A chuckled escaped her as she showed a hint of amusement towards him. He wasn't like most creatures in this jungle and that fact that he knew necromancy made her even more drawn to him, but she would restrain herself, it did seem he was quite loyal to his beliefs and such. "I don't really trespass on any ruins in this jungle, so I believe you have nothing to worrying about with me. Well, it was nice meeting you Mehran and thanks for the show." She smiled and went to turn away, heading back towards her house in the trees. Thoughts swirled in her mind as she thought to herself, 'So there are others in this land, interesting.' Haulting a moment she looked back over her shoulder and glanced at him while she held her pipe to her lips. "Maybe we'll meet again sometime, visit whenever you'd like. I'll know when you enter the jungle again. Until then." She waved a hand and returned to walking back through the jungle.

A few moments of silence passed after Dylexia had departed before Mehran decided to set back towards the goals he had in mind. Of course, the encounter passing also meant that Humbart's need of silence was gone as well. "First time in a long time we had an outsider not trying to tear our heads off, huh?" Humbart finally chimes in. The lich's first response was a quiet chuckle to his companion. "Indeed, it has been some time. Not that removing your head from your body would be difficult." he remarks as he gives a light tap to the pouch as a reminder of Humbart's current condition. He sets back off, eventually arriving back to the boat pulled onto the riverbank after close to an hour of walking through the jungle's thick terrain. This was an interesting encounter, much better than he had anticipated. But just because the newcomer was friendly this time didn't mean there wasn't something else at play. He would need to remain alert in his further journeys out here. As the humanoid spirits pushed off the shore back into the water and started paddling their way back home Mehran was left with plenty of time to think. That life essence of hers was different from most individuals he has seen, in a way there but not quite all the way there either. Much like his own essence. Did the two of them have more in common than choice of residence? He would have to find out next time he encountered here. Since she would know when he stepped back out here, a next time was guaranteed.

It hadn't taken long to move her way through the thick foliage of the dense jungle. She hadtaken years learning how to navigate the whole place. She slowly climbed her steps, wondering to herself about the necromancy lich that she had begun to watch since he had entered the jungle. It was strang, she had had others come into the jungle, but what was strange to her was that his life essence was different than most. It resembled her's quite a bit and she had been this way since arriving here. 'Was it just this place she wondered?' Running a hand through her hair she sighed and placed her pioe down on a table as she took a seat on the chair beside it. Mumbling to herself she had seen that the day was coming to a close, she naturally she began to chant, her eyes glowing dimly as she caught the tormented spirits around the area, them now bending to her will to guard her home at night. The last thing she did was light a small lantern that glowed an eerie green light. She decided to research and see if she could find any information on people living in this realm with her, someone she could connect to prehaps. Maybe even the lich could explain a thing or two to her, that is if he ever came back. She smiled to herself and began to work, it wasn't like she needed to sleep anyway.

As the lich waited to return his spider companion crawled up from the side of the boat it had been on and back to its master's side. With the soft sound of the currents and the jungle wildlife it was almost hard to believe that just a little while he had been in combat with another being. He leaned on his scythe gently while he did some light mental planning. Now that the renegade member's soul was in their possession he and the others would have to further pry information out of it for the location of the hideout. Typical lycans, show them some hospitality and they urinate on the carpet and break the chairs. Mehran had slowly start regarding them as somewhat inferior being after all these years. Mehran hoped he would be allowed to lead the interrogations tonight instead of waiting on standby. It had been fun trapping his prey like he did but it had ended too soon! As the thought of things soon to come were hanging over him the spectral rowers had finally arrived into the cave system he typically used to travel from his hidden home to the outside jungles. The darkness enveloping all of them gave him a welcome, familiar feeling as the temperature began getting colder than anyone would anticipate. Nearly twenty minutes later they pulled up onto the riverbank in the cave, the natural darkness obscuring most of the cave's features. "You're dismissed." he says with a wave of his right hand to the spectral figure, who in response quickly fade away. They left almost as fast as they appeared, and he found it a good thing. As he began the trek further back the cyan lights of his eyes were a stark contrast to the lack of light in the cave.

The passage wall closed in more and more on the trip, and right when it felt like they would press him shut the tunnel began to slowly open again. Soon now he would be coming to the opening of where his people lived.
