At the end of the week was field trip day for Teams MABA, MDYC, and the newly-formed HAUK. Each team was given time to explore their destination, unaware that someone sinister was waiting to make their move.

Team MABA was visiting Forever Fall. While the red autumn leaves on the trees were eternal, a feature of Vale's cosmic physics allowed for a spring rain shower. Professor Gorman, who was supervising, had brought enough umbrellas for everyone, but wouldn't be surprised if some people were sharing. His assignment had been for teams to split off from one another to collect sap from the trees.

In MABA's particular section of the forest, the trees had a particularly heavy canopy, blocking out what little sunshine there was. Everything seemed to be dyed a very dark red, and it was hard for people to see one another. Rain dripped from the treetops, adding to the odd ambiance. Breaking the peace was a strange whisper - "A Rose... a traitor... and two Schnees..."

Team HAUK had formerly been led by Llwyd Toltric, but since he had gone back home to the swamps west of Mistral (something about his mother), the team was forced to rearrange. Hestia Blaze Nikos became the leader, and Kano Valkyrie was added to the team. (Qrow added Kano back into the school's roster after circumstances prevented Kano from going home, and let him fill the space on the former team LUNA.)

Today, Hestia, Andromeda, Ulexa, and Kano were visiting the perimeter wall of Vale, a virtual monument of white concrete covered in murals - with the level of detail in the panoramic, colorful depictions of Forever Fall, Beacon Academy, and Vale's port, it was often hard to tell what was hand-painted and what was not. Between the wall and the main city was a squat, gray guardhouse, as well as a row of cabins, presumably for Huntsmen and Huntresses.

If one was on a vantage point, perhaps one of the rooftop vantage points, they might see some suspicious activity outside the walls. A small caravan, well-covered in dark tarp, was making its way to the walls, moving very erratically. The driver was concealed within the front wagon's tinted glass windows.

Team MDYC had been taken by airship to the previous class's initiation site - the Emerald Forest. Most (if not all) of the Grimm had been defeated, but Professor Palma was along as chaperone just in case. The forest was characterized by tall trees, strange rock structures, and of course, an abundance of the color green. There was also an odd burnt-out clearing that nobody really had an explanation for, which was where Team MDYC was now.

Unlike the other two destinations, there was nothing particularly suspicious about their location. But Yujin Xiao Long felt something was off - perhaps it was the broken spiderweb she'd noticed, or an odd smell. But she'd been in a bitchier mood than usual the entire morning, and was showing no signs of settling down.

Dawn sighed softly as she got away from her embarrassment fest with Hestia. I can't stop thinking about her....She is just...so beautfiul and kind and warm. I must find out more about her!! She turned her attention back to her teammates as she disembarked off the airship stretching. She looked at Rua and thought for a bit, How will she react to that? How will she react if I told her I might have another crush...but whatever....let's just wait and see if Hestia has feelings for me in the mean time. Let's not rush things like I might have done with Rua....but...I still want to be Rua's kitten.... She sighed a bit longer than last time and put her hands on the hilts of her swords. "What are we doing now Professor Palma?

Field trips. Quaint, but enjoyable. However, this was not the case. He did not take an umbrella, and attempted to get away from everyone, to complete the assignment on his own. Whats the point of other people? They just slow you down. It was quiet here, dark, and beautiful. Perfect.

He carried three jars, putting them down as he leaned on a large tree. The sun shone in just a way to illuminate him and his tree, but not much else. At times like this, he loved to just listen. He had great hearing, but with all the leaves rustling, it was slightly harder to pick up specifics.

So, here she was out here on some 'Field Trip', with Team LUNA -ahem- Team HUAK now. Some mural place, that didn't have that much meaning for the Nikos Twin. Unless it was dedicated to Pyrrha or something. But whatever. Also, Team HUAK, huh?? Her partner left. The one dude around that Andromeda felt more or less comfortable with. Now, what?... she was stuck partnered with... With him? With Kano? Girly boy himself? "Great, just frickin' great..."

So sometime after her trip with Ulexa to the commons. Finding student employment with the cafe. And enjoying her time spent at said employment with that turquoise beauty and Ui-Ui her adorable little mint-haired girlie, Rua was now out and about. With her own team, no less! Field Trip time with Team MDYC! Wow! This seemed like such an oddity to her! The team didn't always spend time together, not with how busy Rua's schedule was!

Upon thinking about it, Rua decided that was NOT GOOD! The team absolutely should spend a glorious amount of time together! It was only right! Considering they were... you know -a team! The blunette skipped along in the beautiful forest, enraptured by all the sights, smells, and sounds. Or she would've been. If they weren't smack dab in a burnt out clearing. "Hrrrmm.. Hmph! Yu-chan!!" Rua called. "What did this?? It's sad and icky!" She was pouting. "I want to help the forest...! Dawnnnnnn, do you know?? Dawnnnn-chan!! Dun be a strangersies!! You've not talked to me recently! Puh!!"

Yujin restrained herself from lashing out at Cu-Rua's gushy happiness as best she could. As best she could! "Cu-Rua. It's burnt out. See this tree over here?" she asked, voice strained. "It's more burnt than any of the other wood. And it fell over. So, it must have fallen and ignited everything nearby." She sauntered into the center. "If you took the time to observe more, you would know."

"Be nice," Professor Palma said, squinting at Yujin. "And Dawn, this team is to make their way to those ruins in the distance." She pointed to the rock structures jutting up above the treeline, not too far away. "I'm going to check on the other teams. MDYC is the furthest along, so I doubt there will be any issues, but shout if you run into anything worrisome."

Ulexa turned away from Andy, who was muttering something to herself. This would be the second major change the team had undergone - JAUL had become LUNA, taking away her friend Jupiter, and LUNA had become HAUK, which had replaced Llwyd with Kano. It was a lot to take in over the course of a week. So, the daughter of Emerald looked at her new partner and asked, "Any plans, fearless leader?"

She heard some sort of racket outside, perhaps the sound of machinery rattling, and tapped Hestia on the arm as she walked over to the ladder up to the top of the wall, between two opposite-colored forest murals. "Curious?"

Kano wasn't particularly happy about his team. He knew he was lucky to even still be in the school... But, this? He sighed. It didn't help that on his first day back on campus he was sent out on a field trip with his new team. "Why are we even here? It's a pretty mural. So what." He walked past Hestia, stopping for a moment when he heard her comment. He sighed, deciding to leave it. He didn't know what she was referring to, so any comment could be switched around to be an insult towards him. Though, his silence could be used in the same way.

Kano looked over at Ulexa, Jupiter's friend, when she asked Hestia for a plan. Like she knows how to... His brow furrowed a bit. He couldn't think of an insult. He huffed, and looked back at the mural. Even if it held some historical importance, which he doubted, what educational importance did it have? They were training to be hunters and huntresses, true, but this seemed a lot closer to being educational than some kind of training. Even if it was still a mile off either way...

Kano sighed. He turned back to Ulexa, who'd made some sort of comment about the mural. He crossed his arms, smiling some. Maybe she figured out what they were here for? She seemed smart. Nice, too. How could someone like that be friends with someone like Jupiter? It was weird.

Mint was unnerved but years of routine and honed instincts had led to her most common and viable possible combat engagement maneuver. In a certain radius around the company she constantly placed and replaced glow paint traps. It took little focus for her since she only had to do it every 5 minutes or so. Shifting the trap's positions one more time she turned back to the team she was in charge of.

"There is a distinct possibility of that being a random lightning strike." Mint spoke up,absently checking her Last Dance. "Let's move faster. Being out here til dark is a very bad idea."

Hestia had been saddened with Llwyd leaving the team and she was ashamed that she had been chosen to fill in the role of a leader. With Kano's addition she couldn't help but feel that the team dynamic had shifted ever so slightly. She and Andy could work together, no problem, she was comfortable with working with others, she couldn't help but worry for her sister and whoever might catch her ire caused by combat interference.

She was brought out of her reverie but the light tapping and words of the one and only Ulexa. "As a matter of fact, yes..." She turned to the other two members of the team. "We're going to check out the noise. You're free to come with us. But if you choose not to," She turned towards Andromeda. "Andy, no demoralizing." She followed Ulexa and proceeded to climb the ladder.

Unlike most students, Blanc was self sufficient. He was using his Semblance to keep himself shielded from the rain by conjuring some sort of bladed umbrella and holding it up. He also had brought along gloves and an apron, he didn't want to get any sap on his clothes since they seemed like a nightmare to wash off. He turned his head slightly.

"Huh, thought I heard something...must've been the rain."

Azure sighed. She hated the rain, especially because she was a cat faunas. She had not learned to use her semblance as a shield so she was getting wet. "Come on Blanc... Share a bit of information on that.... it is not fair.." She said a bit grumpy. Then she heard it too. "Blanc... I am not sure..." She said as she moved her hands to her pistols. "I hate the rain... but best be cautious then be caught by surprise.."

Whilst some of her teammates took to using umbrellas and glyphs to keep themselves dry from the rain, the crimson cloaked Merah seemed to be quite content to let herself get soaked in the rain. Not that she minded at all, as the spring showers in this area were spectacular to behold, magical in its own way. In the area they were in the sun and rain along with the deep red of the canopy seemed to cast almost a red glow in the entire area, only enchanting the young faunus more. Some would say it might look a bit foreboding, but those people just didn't appreciate good ambiance.

Gah, focus Petal! Your on a field trip with the team! Make them bond or something. She took a moment to look around at her team, who she had admittedly forgotten about for a moment as she became enamored with the scenery. They had all gotten along well enough, but they weren't the most sociable bunch. Akashi tended to keep to himself often, Blanc was nice but always seemed a bit distant, and Azure... Her face flushed somewhat as she recalled their conversation after their first class together. And as typical she 'Merha'd' it all up. But how was she supposed to react! She liked Azure, she was amazing, but she barely knew anything about romance. It didn't make any sense to her. Ugh, if Kano were here he'd know how to handle this. He knew about romance stuff! She smiled lightly to herself as she remembered that her friend had somehow managed to rejoin the Academy, and Merah secretly happy danced for a solid three minutes when she found that out. Granted they weren't on the same team, but he was one of her first friends. Right? No, he totally was. Hopefully.

All these thoughts were quickly put to rest when a distinct whisper echo through the canopy. While it may have been difficult to hear for others of her team, her wolven ears were able to tell her that they weren't alone. She stood perfectly still for a few moments as she tried to listen for any other indicators of someone watching them, but there was nothing.

"Heh, um. So that was a bit creepy am I right? Yup, pretty creepy... So how's everyone's sap collection going? I got a few full jars!" She turned around excitedly to show her team the jars she was struggling to hold her hands. While trying to walk backwards she promptly tripped over an exposed root, causing her jars to go flying into the air. Letting out a startled yelp, Merah moved with all the speed she had catching and juggling jars as they came pouring down. It eventually she managed to catch all of the jars, one even landing on her foot and forcing her to stand on one leg. Her hybrid eyes glanced awkwardly towards her teammates who had the pleasure of witnessing the debacle.

"... Ta-daaaa?"

Andromeda stood off to the side, arms folded, a leer of sorts clouding her features. Kano. Girlyboy. Her partner. HER partner. Freakin' hell... She hated to admit it... but she missed Llwyd. Could you believe ie? Andromeda actually missed someone! Sure, the quieter dark-haired boy was the lesser of two evils, which was why she was okay with him, but at least he was somewhat illuminating. Kano was as vapid as some blonde bimbo. Might as well have been one, really.

She narrowed her red eyes at him, when Hestia spoke up. "Huh?! I wasn't sister!" she retorted flatly, angrily. Gripping her spear, she marched forward, ready to climb whatever to see whatever that weird noise was. She, honestly, suspected it was nothing. Andromeda was too busy brooding over her latest unceremonious bad luck to really care about what they were there for. She was certainly not going to work anywhere near as well with Girlyboy like she had with Llwyd.

Rua followed what Yujin had to say, listening to her explanation. It was laced with annoyance and punctuated with an insult, but the girl hardly seemed to notice. "OH! Yessss, I see!! That makes sense! Hrmm, what could've started the fire, though??" She couldn't help but giggle when their teacher got onto Yujin, "Teehee! Yes, Professor! You can count on us!" She made a quick, overzealous salute, with a spin of her spear and her hand to her forehead.

"Hmm, lightning strike? I see, but..." Rua trailed off. "Oh, well! If it's just that, no big deal, but like Palma-chan said.." She pointed ahead. "RUINS, ho! Le~eet's go!" She clasped Yujin's arm similar to how she would Ulexa's. "Ms. Palma can count on us, right girly's?" Unlike Andromeda, Rua's march forward was much more jovial and bouncy.

"Sure," huffed Yujin as she started walking to the edge of the clearing. Her eyes, ears, and nose were on high alert, and she didn't have time for Cu-Rua's antics. Or anyone else's, really. It was only midday, but she didn't intend to be out here any longer than she needed to be.

Broken spiderwebs, she thought. That meant they weren't the first people here. Were they high up enough to be a Grimm? Yujin wasn't sure. But she wasn't at ease at all, and everyone around her was going to know it.

At the top of the wall, the source of the noise quickly made itself apparent. There was a vehicle train (wagon train?) of some sort, covered in dark material, was lurching and lumbering its way towards the perimeter wall. "State your business!" barked the Huntsman on duty, Irving Helia. It was a break, and this was a particularly slow area due to the hilly forest terrain, so the only professionals on duty were him and Professor Firebrick were the only professionals on duty.

Ulexa moved aside, far enough for the rest of the team to gain decent footing on the roof "bowl" of the perimeter wall. Irving, a tall man with green hair and a bolo tie, didn't have any compunctions. He quickly drew his pistols and locked it on the caravan. "I won't ask you again."

That was when the tarp-covered caravan exploded into Grimm.

Beowulves, Ursai, Creeps, and even a few Goliaths leapt and tore their way out of the black mass. Their voices joined in a baleful roar as they ran for the perimeter wall. Irving opened fire on the horde before a lasso shot from one of his barrels and around a Goliath. He leapt off of the wall and landed on the grassy ground, thrashing around the Goliath in the process.

Professor Firebrick had used her semblance to extend a deep-red energy chain over the wall, and was scaling it faster than anyone thought the oldest professor could. "We'll take the Grimm! You four take that front car!" she commanded.

It would be one hell of a journey. Team HAUK would have to get down to the other side of the wall, run to the dark-windowed car while Irving and Firebrick dealt with the Grimm, and deal with whoever was inside.

Amidst the chaos, someone in a white jacket stepped out of the car, and started lobbing grenades over the Grimm at the perimeter wall. The explosives left a white trace through the air. It wasn't gaseous. Energy, perhaps? The woman did not smile, but looked up at the students and winked. The grenades exploded, rocking the wall.

Kano covered his mouth, letting out a spurt of childish laughter when Andromeda freaked out over what Hestia said. After he pulled his hand away and stopped laughing, his smile didn't go anywhere. That made his day, even if it wasn't very exciting whatsoever. He'd take anything he could get, considering it looked like they would spend all day looking at art... It is really pretty, though... He turned his attention back to the mural, running his hand across it. His smile widened, and while his team was climbing the wall, he stepped back and took out his scroll, raising it to take a picture. He took a few, looking through them all afterwards and deleting all but the one he thought looked the nicest. Once he'd decided, he pulled up Merah's contact and sent it to her, with a silly smiley face emoji after it.

He shook his head some, his smile widening more. After a few moments of staring at the screen, he was pulled out of his out-of-place bliss by a loud sound coming from over the perimeter wall, causing Kano to jump and drop his scroll, though he managed to catch it. Instantly, he put his scroll away and bolted for the ladder.

Once he was at the top, he took in the severity of the situation. "We'll take the Grimm! You four take that front car!" Kano scanned the ground below from his vantage point, his eyes resting on the front car that the hunter spoke of. Once he had it's location fresh in his mind, he took out his baton, whipping it into it's full length and sliding the strength slider to it's halfway point, before diving off of the wall. His childish smile was replaced by a sly smirk, not unlike the one that his mother always wore when she went into battle.

Naturally, being a Valkyrie, Kano couldn't leave all of the fun to the hunters. He needed to take at least one Grimm down. And, of course, it had to be a big one. He was diving towards a Goliath. He rotated so his feet would hit instead of his head at the last second, both of his feet planting on the forehead of the beast. He bent his knees, pushing off and falling a bit, before manually activating his baton, the explosion pushing him back towards the Goliath at a high speed. Amidst the chaos, Kano doubted he'd even be noticed by anyone, though he was already proud enough of himself for not dying yet.

At the last second, the Goliath whipped it's head around, startling Kano. His baton didn't make contact with the beast's head, though it hit it's tusk full-force, knocking a good chunk of it into the ground. The Goliath reeled back, though it was far from done. He'd just made it angry.

The Pink-Eyed boy was already feeling woefully under-equipped, though. Unless he wanted to bludgeon it to death, his weapon wasn't going to get him anywhere, so that meant it was time for him to duck out, and let the hunters handle the pissed off Grimm. After his initial hit, Kano had grabbed onto the other horn, using the Goliath stumbling back as an opportunity to pull out his scroll. He laughed, and took a picture of the Goliath, up close and personal, and still living. He was going to have to send that to Merah later.

Kano dropped down, and ran under the Goliath, swinging at one of his rear legs when he passed, to give the hunters a chance to finish it off. After he deemed his work done, he ran through the crowd of Grimm, towards the front car he was meant to be helping investigate.

Dawn put her hands behind her head as she sighs, "Let's get going." She stood by her partner, Mint, as she observed their surrondings. Just a bunch of trees. Nothing to unusual. Something is wrong with Yujin. "Yujin, you alright? You seem a bit uneasy." This caused Dawn to pull out one of her short swords out as she started to be on guard. She certaintly didn't have her fathers joking attitude. Dawn also started to feel uneasy as her right part of her head started to hurt. She winced slightly, but then hid it her pain away. Mustn't let them know. Don't want to be a burden...She put her head hurting to the side as she began to look around.

Andromeda ascended the wall with the rest of her team, uncaring entirely about the pretty painted mural at its base. She had barely even noticed it. That sorta thing... just was not really her thing. She considered sentiment and introspection to be time-wasters and weakness. She was at the top, when everything went down. The scene before her exploded. This caravan thing burst open with Grimm, much to the tyrian-haired girl's surprise. The staff on duty were already getting into the thick of it, so why should she dawdle?

Hell, Kano was jumping off and attacking, too. What the frick? She couldn't let that little ho show her up! Spinning her two unevenly-sized spears, she leaped from the wall, only for her to swing back and stab her shorter spear into it, to slow her descent. It left a nasty sparking gash when she lowered down the wall, but it wasn't too lengthy, for she wrenched herself away from the wall, and found herself tackling a Grimm when she hit the ground below. But not before she tossed her lengthier spear, sinking it right into the neck of an Ursa that was swinging at the picture-taking Kano. The idiot.

Tackling the Beowulf to the ground, the two wrestled, with the more agile Andromeda getting the better of the dimwitted Grimm. She took her shorter spear and sliced it right down the length of the Grimm's stomach, before twirling and stabbing it back through the back of its neck, killing it instantly. Turning back around, Andromeda found the target, the front car, but her eyes fell upon the woman. That mysterious woman that had thrown some grenades that shook the wall with their explosions. Andromeda rushed over, catching up to the fallen Grimm that had her second spear thrown into it. Plucking it out, that Grimm's body disintegrated, while she continued to hotly leer at this new foe.

The other teams were soon to be meeting their current coincidental foes. That pattern didn't end with Team MDYC. The 'energetic' group -really only Rua was the one being energetic, bouncing along, humming cheerily, while the rest seemed to simply brood in irritation- neared in on something. Something that a certain enemy would not be happy they would discover. That certain enemy... possibly was it the one who had an instrumental hand in seeing Beacon fall years ago?

"Madam Eye," her voice began in the small tech's receiver in her hand. "The group of Huntresses from the new Beacon are drawing ever nearer... should I intervene?"

"Hm. I see... Huh, Scarra, what sort of question is that? We no longer operate out of that dilapidated collapse, but... Well, it could still possess certain things our enemies need not discover. Yes? So, dolt, do exactly this. -Stop them from finding anything out! Our betters may not like it if they do. Sisisi.." she giggled, her voice on the other end sounding quite young, tone twisted with haughty arrogance. "Scarra, dear. Don't ask stupid things of me again. Do your duty. Sisisisi!" The line went dead with a droll buzz.

"Yes, Mistress," Scarra's voice resounded in the non-receiving receiver on her scroll, closing it and putting it away. She was out of sight, currently, but she could still observe the group nearing the ruins. The ruins that if they were observant about, had a unique twisted 'Grimm Eye' carved into its side with a red stencil.

The ruins were no longer a base for their group, but perhaps, things and information was left behind in the move that happened some time ago. It was Scarra's duty to see that nothing of value was discovered or seen. The mark on its side... well, that couldn't really be covered up at this point, not without drawing attention to it. The dark-haired young woman kicked up her Aura. Normally it radiated a soft red color, but for her Semblance, it would twist and darken, like a sunset, until the sun dipped beyond the horizon. Black 'embers' wafted off her arms.

She stepped forward -still out of TEAM MDYC's sight- and laid the black smoldering thing on the ground. It sparked and inflamed, growing. One of her signature Negativity Wells. A pit of dark emotions that her Semblance could spawn. A small smile curled Scarra's lips. It wouldn't be long now... Grimm would be drawn quickly to this pit of darkness. Roars and calls sounded off in the distance and she tilted her head, ear towards them. "Ah, closer than I thought..."

Rua paused about a 3/4ths a football field's length away from the ruins. "Hm.. Grimm??" she questioned, hearing the caterwauls. Their ferocity sent chills up her spine, turning to look back at the rest of her team. She unfolded her spear. "I think.. I think I sense something... nearby?" Was that the Grimm? Actually, what she was sensing was the Negativity Well that Scarra had placed just behind the ruins.

The seemingly tranquil and serene feeling that seemed to envelope the area was slowly replaced by a growing darkness. It seemed with every step they took the wildlife grew more quiet. The beautiful foliage around them started to look sickly. It became painfully obvious that something was wrong here, that the team should have paid more attention to the whisper on the wind they heard.

"Hmm, I must say I'm a bit disappointed. I thought the children of Remnant's greatest hunters would be a bit more perceptive." In the canopy stood the source of the whispers. A tall figure, shrouded in a black and blood red, a vicious claw over his right arm and a mask covering the lower portion of his face. All's they could see of the man himself were his blood red eyes, piercing into each of the students with, the hate in them clear.

"None of you likely know who I am. What's important is I know all of you. Your family's." The last word dripped with venom, his clawed gauntlet clenching into a tight fist. "What's important is that the children will pay for the sins of their forebearers." The stranger lifted up his left arm, revealing three runes carved into him. He traced the center rune with his claw, casting a bright and ominous glow that made the canopy itself look like it was dripping blood. A viscous black fluid dripped from his hand, corrupting the soil it rained upon. From the unnatural puddles came an all to familiar enemy. Grimm erupted from the pools, vicious Beowolfs, Ursine, Boarbatusk and even Beringel. This fight was going to be quite far from easy, and the stranger didn't even seem to be bothering to commit to the fight yet.

"And don't bother calling out for help, you'll find your peers have become... Preoccupied." Not a moment later the din of battle could be head in the distance. Screams, gunfire and the roar of Grimm.

The Battle of Forever Fall had begun.

Merah's usual chipper and jovial attitude faded quickly when she heard a distinct voice call out to her team. And the source of it didn't look all to friendly in the slightest. I mean really what kind of good guy wears a mask and followed kids around? Not any she was aware of that was for damn sure! As he began to drawl on about their parents, Merah set down her jars and slowly moved her hands towards her Crimson Thorns, trying to discern how great of a threat this single man represented.

Evidently it was a large one as he seemed to activate some kind of mark on his arm, casting some disgusting looking goop on the ground. She gave him a quizzical look, about to ask him if he was a serial litterer before her blood ran cold. Grimm... He made Grimm. Humans can't do that. No human has done that. OK time to stop hallucinating Merah. Just close your eyes and they'll be gone.... They're not gone. WHY AREN'T THEY GONE!? This sudden revelation was difficult enough to take in, without the threat of imminent death looming over her team.

But this stranger, whatever grudge he had and whatever powers he wielded needed to wait. Forever Falls was under attack. Vale was under attack. And it was her duty to protect it.

"Um, OK Mr. Random Goop Guy! You can't just stroll in here and take about my momma and bring Grimm! So... Let's get em guys! Make sure they don't escape the Falls." Not necessarily the most inspiring speech, but she was sure her team didn't need encouragement to kill Grimm. After all it's what they all signed up for. Leveling her Thorns, she unleashed a hail of bolts that tore through the Grimms hide, pinning one Beowolfs arm to a tree. She then charged forward, her crossbows shifting into their scythe form as she jumped into a spin, cleaving off the Beowolfs arm in two clean slices. The beast collapsed to the ground, writhing, but Merah didn't get a chance to enjoy her victory before a Beringel set upon her as she desperately dodged its swipes, the wolf faunus' speed the only thing keeping her from being beaten into a cute little pulp.

"I wonder if the other teams field trips are this exciting?" She muttered towards whoever could hear as she fought for her life.

Ulexa took an aura-enhanced flying leap off the structure, expanding Glory and Gore as she arced through the sky. Her desired trajectory would take her straight to the car, straight to whoever that bomb-slinging lady was. She landed, hands first, directly in the middle of the fray.

Damn. And she hadn't even managed to crush anything.

She lumbered forward, flicking and punching various Grimm in the general direction of Irving and Firebrick. Eventually, she could see the woman, who had locked eyes with Andromeda. This stranger was readying something from her coat. "Andy, look out!" Ulexa shouted, setting her fists on the ground to use her knuckle guns. She fired four rounds at once, two making sizable holes in the front car.

The woman, while unharmed, wasn't totally unaffected by the high-caliber blasts. She removed a pistol from her coat, and started firing at Ulexa. Hey! That hurt! Her aura was protecting her for now, but this woman was a much better shot than the mint-haired girl.

Yujin considered talking to Dawn. She seemed to have some sort of headache? Well, Yujin wasn't feeling so great herself. "Cu-Rua... is right. There's something..."

That was when a Creep burst out of the woods, splattered with glow-paint from one of Mint's traps, and sprinted their way. "Something off!" Yujin raised her leg to fire a few rounds from Stygian Impact at the Grimm, who was quickly followed by several more. They appeared to be headed towards the back of the ruins, but Yujin's irritable unease and Dawn's pain were drawing them close. As soon as the front one got near enough, Yujin gave it a swift kick in the head, and a few more bullets. It went down in a heap.

"There's gonna be more! I know it!" Yujin shouted, getting into a fighting stance atop the Grimm's ashes. "They're running towards the back of the ruins; someone or something's gotta be drawing them there!"
